    Our roof was a technically challenging project, a custom shingle style on a very tall steeply pitched Victorian (turret over 50ft high). We needed siding, trim and widow repair. How would we choose a contractor? We had no references to work with, so we searched online and found many choices too many choices. We read hundreds of reviews. We found contractors who were very experienced and helpful. But we found only one without some negative reviews. We thought how is that possible (likely not but we added them to our list out of curiosity). After interviews and estimates one contractor seemed to Shine above the others (the one with all the positive reviews). And Lenny gave us the best price, but could his team handle this tough project? Yes, they did. Great job, beautiful roof, no complaints another 5-star project.

    Shine replaced our shingles and some of the roof this summer. They did an excellent job on schedule working with the chimney company. Their crew was friendly and efficient. The job was bigger than originally estimated due to the poor condition of the roof, but everything was finished in one day. Their set-up and cleanup was great, I didn’t have to do any cleaning when they left. No mess, no damage. Manny was very friendly and honest. All details were discussed up front. The foreman of the crew was friendly and well prepared on arrival. Shine came well recommended to me and I would use them again without hesitation.

    Manny and he’s crew from Shine construction were amazing. I hired Shine construction to replace my roof trim and rotten wood .The workmanship was top notch. They delivered what they offered. The professionalism and attention to detail I couldn’t say enough. All my questions were answered. When we met for the quote he gave me a folder with all the information I needed to go over as he explained the process and came with all the samples of different materials that would be utilized in the project. Manny and his crew kept me informed and as they found issues in the roof they would send me pictures of absolutely everything that was found and needed replacement. The crew was so polite respectful responsible and everything was extremely clean once the job was done. He said the job would take 2 days and it was finished and all cleaned up in exactly 48 hrs and that meant a lot to me. Honesty is key for me and I would recommend this company to anyone.

    I am extremely pleased with the work Diego and his team completed on my home. When my husband and I wanted to get vinyl siding done, we spoke to a number of companies about the process. Shine not only gave us the most reasonable quote but also completed the project in a timely fashion. Within a couple of weeks, the old shingles had been stripped, and we had new siding. Throughout the entire process, Diego was communicative and answered all of our questions promptly. We now have a house that looks brand new. I cannot recommend Shine enough!

    I just got my roof replaced by Shine Construction. Enjoy my experience with Manny and his crew. Very professional and hardworking. Great communication. The crew even sent me photos when the job was in progress when they were on the top of the roof to keep me informed. They started early and finished late. I got my entire roof replaced in 3 days, including all of my plywood. They left my attic and yard clean. I highly recommend it to everyone. Now I don’t have to worry about my roof anymore because I know I am covered with GAF 50 years UHD shingles and with a job that was done right.

    A few years ago, we had Shine replace our roof. It was an incredibly smooth process. Our roof was in horrible shape. They came in, and in a day, it was beautiful. They left the yard spotless as well.Now most recently, we had them come back to do our deck. We have a 630 sq. Ft deck. A million things could have gone wrong. Best quote by far and the wait list was shorter. Manny is super friendly and nice guy. Steve, the deck specialist, is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Their follow through, professionalism , and quality, yet again “shined” through. 3 days- literal perfection. They are honest company. They warn you about potential extra costs but if they don’t find the issues, they don’t fake them either. A few days later, I got a knock on our door from neighbors commenting on how beautiful it came out. I 10000% recommended Shine to them. I guarantee you won’t be sorry. A fabulously reliable company. Proven over and over again.

Manny, the owner, and his crew went above and beyond my expectations in all aspects of the project. I have never been so impressed by the performance of a contractor crew. From introduction, quoting, the day of the project and through to the finish, Manny and his crew were prompt, courteous, helpful, flexible, extremely hard working, and kind.The quote was one of the best prices of the 4 quotes that I received for stripping two layers of shingles, replacing the roof on the house and two sheds, creating a new ridge vent, replacing several gutters and downspouts, and repairing the chimney as well.On the day of the project, I was pleasantly surprised as Manny and his crew manager began texting me photos from the roof to my phone to keep me up to speed as the project progressed. Photos of the stripped roof, all the rotten boards that were found, the new replacement boards, the new gutters, new lead around the chimney, new shingling, all came to my phone essentially real time as I was sitting inside the house. This was especially helpful when the crew discovered a problem around the base of my chimney at the roofline. Manny documented the problem, came to review it with me, made a run to the hardware store, took care of the issue, and documented the repair.The house was draped with tarps to collect the old roof debris and to protect the yard and plants. I was impressed and thankful that they did such a fantastic job protecting the plant beds around the house and how thorough the yard was cleaned. It was amazing to see the house and yard turn into a construction zone in the morning and to be completely cleaned up and looking great by the end of the day.     Working with Manny and the Shine team was one of the best contracting experiences Ive had as a homeowner in 20 years. Manny and his crew were honest, punctual, courteous, and highly professional. They were ready at 7:00 am to start and they were very respectful of our space. The roof and skylights were a very difficult job and the team took a lot of pride in their workmanship (we did too). After they finished, they spent a lot of time making sure there wasnt any debris left over. They even removed the leaves in the flower beds. The roof looks outstanding and we will definitely have them back!

    This is my 3rd time hiring Shine Construction. Im either very happy or very stupid. Its the former. I am very particular and expect excellent work. I cant say enough good things about Manny the owner and his crew. The last job I just had them do was to replace all my windows, inside trim and outside trim. In addition they also replaced some damaged siding, trim on the eves etc. 35 windows and all the extra work done in 3 days. I love that there are women on the crew. Man or woman, they all do everything...cutting, fitting, installing, vacuuming etc. A vacuum was going the entire time. Our house was immaculate throughout the entire job and our yard. We didnt have to clean up a single mess. Most important, the worksmanship was perfect. I dont think Ill bother to ever get a quote from another construction company. New roof, skylights and now all new windows. This company cant be beat.

    Ive engaged many contractors in my lifetime but without a doubt, SHINE is by far the best. From beginning to end, SHINEs representative Lenin kept me informed about all stages of my roofing/window replacement project. He ALWAYS answered my calls from the time I engaged SHINEs services (many of you know this rarely with other contractors), kept me updated on material arrival and permits, and during the construction phase he sent me photos throughout the day of the progress his crew was making. He and his crew were unfailingly professional and courteous. His crew arrived on time and worked tirelessly throughout a very long, hot day. The final result was one that will increase the sale price of the house, and I am beyond pleased to have hired SHINE and would do so again in a heartbeat. If I ever need to have work done that SHINE advertises, I will not hesitate to hire SHINE. This is the best experience Ive ever had with a contractor, and the work was flawless. We had a pretty large leak in our roof and got the opinions of several different companies trying to figure out the best solution for the leak.     First, we were completely satisfied with the high quality work Manny and the team from Shine provided us. Our new roof and siding look amazing! From the onset we were convinced Manny was the right contractor for our home improvement project and we were not disappointed. Starting with his initial visit, Manny walked us through the process of how Shine prepares the home and installs both the roof and siding systems. He provided excellent details on how the two systems complement each other and the steps from removal of the old roof, siding, and sheathing to the install of the new roof, wrap, foam insulator board, and siding and shutters. A few days after his initial visit, Manny personally walked us through the quotes and schedule by task which my wife and I felt set Shine apart from the other potential contractors. Manny stated he would start the project in three weeks and sure enough three weeks later he was ready to go. Although Shine was ready to go as promised we needed to delay the original start date by a week. We called Manny and he took care of us on the spot and moved the start date to the following Monday. Once underway Manny and his team methodically executed the plan to perfection. Each day the worksite was spotless to the point where you would not have known they were there. We greatly appreciated Manny’s briefing each morning explaining what his team would accomplish that day. Shine’s attention to detail was impressive to the point where Manny required his team to replace a few small areas of shingling that looked great to us but did not measure up to Manny’s personal standards. In less than a week we effectively had a new home with a brand-new roof and gutter system and high-quality siding. Our experience with Shine was outstanding from start to finish. Shine led by Manny and his team are by far the best contractors we have ever hired.

    After receiving six quotes for roof replacement, I chose Shine Construction. Their estimate was right in the middle, but Manny had me sold right away (I didnt let him know that though). He came to the house VERY well prepared with shingle samples, new ventilation sample, a folder with examples of all the materials that would be used on the new roof, insurance binder and went over his quote line by line. After deciding on Shine, he came out again to give us a quote on replacing some side boards. He sent one of his men to measure our chimney so we could order a roof cap that he offered to install for free. The roof was installed in a very timely fashion as well as the side boards. Very professional, HARD working men and woman. I was very pleased with the whole process from start to finish. I would like to mention that they went above and beyond for us because our chimney cap was a special order, so one of their men had to come back weeks later to install the chimney cap for us!! I would HIGHLY recommend Shine Construction.

    My house is an early 1800 colonial is historic house.Several roofing companies expressed concerns working on such an intricate historic home, which roof consists of six dormers,widows peak,two chimneys and 12 inch gutters to go along with the general roof.Manny from Shine Construction was more than happy and taking on this challenge, his presentation detailing the type of, time of completion,the process they plan to utilize to complete this project and finally the reasonable quote convinced me that this is the company I should employ to replace my roof.They started the project and surprised me by submitting aerial photographs of work-in-progress on the roof. It was easy to see the decay of my roof,dormers & gutters as well as observing the new material replacements, the workers were fast & efficient. This was an impressive process.Whenever new problems developed, I was kept informed in a timely manner my Manny who always proposed workable solutions that are cost effective.Considering the magnitude of this project, it was completed in record time, but more importantly the professional workmanship exceeded my expectation.I would be remiss if I did not mention the crew’s constant hard work,their diligence and their clean-up procedures, my neighbors complemented me on how great my roof looked, but raved on the cleanliness of the surrounding areas done by the work crew.I am very happy Manny & Shine Constrution, my entire home looks amazing, the quote was reasonableand the service was impeccable.I would happily recommend Shine Construction to any prospective client who may require their services.

    First let me say, I dont typically even bother writing reviews. Yet, I am someone who will ONLY seek someones services out if I see a ton of great reviews!! Let me tell you, Manny and his crew are EXACTLY how all these awesome reviews of him and his company truly are! A roof is one of the most expensive and stressful things to have done on your home and it MUST be done right. I am the type of person who HAS to have the trust in the workmanship of the company that is being hired. From the start, when contacting Shine thru email, I had an immediate response that someone would get in touch with me shortly. Within a couple of hours I had a call from their office personnel scheduling a time that was good for ME, which was a Saturday appt. 5 star.... for even calling the same day. The day comes that Manny would be coming out for the estimate, he calls 15 min before time scheduled letting me know hes on his way. 5 star.... for the courtesy call and not having to think I hope they show up. He shows up, meets with my husband outside who wanted to discuss the history/issues of our roof and chimney area weve had for years (not the typical N.E. roofline) and they went over all of it, (along with we were looking to have all new gutters installed) and after Manny went up on the roof and also looked in the attic area he knew EXACTLY, in a matter of fact manner, what needed to be done to get this roof like brand new. My husband (who has the knowledge of roofing procedures, materials used etc) came into the house, as Manny remained outside to measure for materials etc, and said this guy knows what hes doing and is going to do exactly what I also believe this roof needs to be like brand new. 5 star... Let me just say, I then had FULL CONFIDENCE that Manny and his crew were the company for us! He came in after measuring (and let me say, Manny is the nicest, most professional and non-intimidating contractor Ive dealt with, since I tend to ask lots of questions so that I fully understand the process and he answered all my questions, very patient, not rushing or pressuring us into anything), with samples of roofing and a full packet of literature of the materials, warranties, his Certificate of Insurance etc (5 star....didnt even have to ask) and within that 1.5 hour visit, we had the full estimate and signed contract before he even walked out the door. No waiting for an estimate in the mail, etc - he said once permit was secured with the town (with a miniscule deposit of only $400) they would schedule and within 1 week, I had brand new roof and gutters!! He called me day before, said we will be there to start next day at 7:00 (they were prompt arrival 6:45) and by 7 sharp they were already scraping off old shingles! 5 star......My husband had a feeling there was a very good chance of needing to replace plywood, and once they started, they came to that same conclusion, but Manny said no worries, once we gave ok his guys retrieved 69 pieces of plywood so fast, there was NO delay of anything! 5 star....What was GREAT was they text pics of everything they are doing, when putting ice shield on entire house, you see pics of it, when repairing chimney area, you see pics of it, when venting the house properly you see pics of it, it was awesome to see, nothing had to be questioned if it was done or not...5 star....His crew worked non-stop, except for a short lunch break, and ALL was done in that one day (by 6:30 p.m.) even though they planned for 2 days to be sure. That includes cleanup all around the yard etc. The crew was phenomenal. When they were done, all I could say was Wow, I am really impressed and you will be too if Shine does your roof! When neighbors walk by and say that roof looks great, I say SHINE :)

    I found Shine Construction through a Google search. I called and requested a site visit appointment for the next day, and they graciously agreed to the appointment. It was a day with a snowstorm alert, and I had forgotten about it. When I realized, due to the parking bans, I wasnt expecting the Shine representative to show up on such a stormy day. However, Mr. Lenin rang my doorbell two minutes prior to the appointment time. Mr. Lenin patiently listened to my concerns, explained all the benefits of the service, and finally provided a quote with the lowest price that Shine could offer for the job of replacing my roof. Mr. Lenins demeanor was excellent throughout our interaction. He was professional, courteous, and attentive, which made the experience very positive. After three days, I handed Mr. Lenin the town permit and asked if the weather would be favorable for him to complete the job within the next two days. Mr. Lenin, after checking, said that they can start the job in two days and finish it in a day. I specifically told him that besides signing a check, I personally didnt want to be involved, and I wanted everything to proceed smoothly and cleanly. His polite response was, I wont say anything now, but well show you how we do the job, and then we can discuss this after the job is done. The inspector from my insurance company praised Shine Construction, stating that their estimate is the best and fairest in the neighborhood. He has adjudicated many claims due to wind and rain damage in my neighborhood and said that Shines estimate is a fair estimate, and he has no questions about Shines estimate. Choosing Shine during this recession and inflation period helped me to get fair prices and reduced the burden on my insurance company. I would gladly hire Shine Construction for any future jobs at my home, and I strongly recommend this company for their exceptional work. The entire crew deserves a huge thanks from me, especially Antonio (the man), Jose, Manuel, Ana Maria, Jorge, George, Joylucas, and supervisor Algelis. They are the best!

    I can’t say enough wonderful things about Shine Construction. I called them based on a recommendation when I had a roof leak another company didn’t fix. Rain was coming in bubbling wallpaper in our 1890s house. Manny came on a Saturday and investigated the third floor dormer. Within a day he was back with two estimates, one repair and one replacement. He was extremely knowledgeable about materials, ways to protect the odd shape of the roofline, and was even able to replace a skylight. Our house has a plank roof, built before plywood and no gutters. His crew worked diligently and carefully replaced the individual planks, carefully piecing them into the spots. It was a whirlwind- starting with a snow covered roof and now gorgeous with Georgetown gray shingles that really match the era of the home! Can’t say enough about the attention to detail, knowledge, and professionalism. Amazing, and local. Hire them! I know we will when we reside!

    Had problems with water coming in around my chimney into the attic for the better part of two years, and recently started developing some leaks around the gas vents and bathroom damper vent. Already had two masons and two other roofers look at the chimney flashing alone, and they were all saying that it was fine and there was nothing wrong after all the previous work I had done on it to try to stop the water from getting in, including a full chimney rebuild from the flashing up.Called up Manny, and he got a contract sent out to me in a matter of a couple of days for all the work, and his crew was there in about a week and a half, when all the other roofers I tried were either booked or not returning calls or quotes.All work was done within a day, which included new vent boots for the gas vents, a new damper vent, and brand new step flashing for the roof and flashing for the chimney, with new roof built around the step flashing and vents. All the work was done neatly with a high level of skill and professionalism behind it.Had a heavy rainstorm a week later, and I still had a small bit of water come in from around the chimney, but at this point, I partially expected it, as this chimney is just cursed. Called up Manny, and one of his crew was out the next morning attempting some simple repairs, and he said that if those repairs dont do the trick, theyll come back and do a through repair. The following week, had another heavy storm, and still some water got in. Called him again, and he had a crew out the following week to do the through repairs.A few days later, another bad storm, and finally no water! Ill still be watching for it, but for once I finally had a storm with absolutely no water getting in from around the chimney. Didnt have a single problem from any of the vents after the first repair either. I can fully recommend Manny and his crew for his determination and professionalism to making sure that the repairs were fully taken care of, even after dealing with a cursed chimney like mine, and most importantly, honoring their workmanship warranty. Its great to have found a roofing company who goes the extra mile to make sure their work is top line.A big thanks to Manny and his crew.

    Shine Roofing: I took the suggestion of a friend that had there roof done by Shine Roofing. At first I was skeptical to use someone that I didnt know anything about. But, I trusted my friend as he had just had his roof done by Shine and was very satisfied..So, I took a chance and called there office to make an appointment. I was greated by there secretary Maria with a Welcome and how can we help you. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She scheduled my appointment with the owner Manny. From the moment I met Manny I felt totally comfortable. Manny explained everything he and his crew would do. His prices were fair and his work was excellent. Shine made my new roof look amazing and left the job sight clean. Manny followed up a day later, not to collect his payment, but to make sure I was 100% satisfied with Shines job. Since Shine did my first roof, he and his crew have done another 2 more of my buildings. I have nothing but great things to say about Manny and his Team at Shine Roofing.
