    My 15+ year old water heater died and led me to start looking for replacement services online. After much research and self education regarding the current hot water heater market I called Water Heaters Only. I spoke with Cyrus who was helpful, listened carefully and set me up with a home visit the next day.Max D. the technician installer called and confirmed appointment and came and gave me an evaluation, carefully explained all options and after a few negations we came to a $$ figure and work began the next morning.Max D. is the best of the best, easy to work with, explained what was happening every step of the way, and was neat, careful, and very self motivated to do a perfect installation. It was easy to see he never cut any corners or rushed any part of the job. I had read his previous reviews which are all 5 stars so I was happy when he arrived to do my job. 5 stars here too.Max D. is a very nice, kind, and gentle guy to work with, extremely knowledgeable about hot water heaters, installation and maintenance. 5 star in every aspect. I would urge anyone needing a replacement, maintenance or just advice and direction to seek Water Heaters Only and ask for Max D. for easy and competent service.

    Max D. did a terrific job replacing our water heater. He is very knowledgeable on his profession and courteous. He didn’t leave any mess in my house and installed it perfectly. After he was done, he explained everything to me how to operate the water heater and how to maintain it.

    Max D. came over to our house on Sunday to inspect and replace our leaking water heater. Not only was he very friendly and personable, he didnt try to upsell us on things we didnt really need and presented us with good reasons to upsize our old water heater. He was honest about the quality of our old water heater without making us feel like he was just trying to sell us a new water heater and gave us confidence in the quality of his work. Hopefully we dont have to see him again in the next 10-20 years, but if we do, I will happily work with him again!

    Easy to schedule. Great process. They bring the water heater with them at the time of their inspection. If all things work out (water heater will fit, they have all the equipment they need, etc) they install the same day. Final Cost was less than the amount quoted at the time of scheduling the appointment. One man job. Job took less than three hours. Julian the technician was efficient, professional and friendly. He was easy to understand and walked us through all the features of the new heater, the installation process used and all safety features.

    My 18 year old water heater bit the dust on a Sunday morning. I saw that Water Heaters Only is a 24/7 business and dont charge more for weekend service, so I gave them a call.     WONDERFUL, SIMPLY WONDERFUL!This was not going to be an easy installation. Our water heater is located in the basement of our 75 years old ranch style home in La Canada. Tony Edwards was Masterful in removing the old water heater up the flight of stairs Single Handedly, then moving the New unit back down those creaking old wooded stairs. The new installation needed to be brought up to all the new CA regulations, which Tony did. The job was Quick, Clean, Hassle Free and at a reasonable price.

    The Home Depot has such a large inventory of building supplies, garden supplies, name brand tools etc if you need materials of any kind you will probably find it at The Home Depot. I have found most employees are knowledgeable about various tools or materials and they are friendly and helpful. There is a large paved parking lot well maintained and clean.

    I called WHO at 9:30 AM for a quote to replace my water heater which had reached the end of it’s life. Toa and Christian responded to my home in Torrance by noon. They were professional, courteous, and best of all never complained when my 2 dogs came over to try and “help”. I would recommend WHO to anybody needing to replace their water heater.

    Response was quick, same day. After Paul provided good info to help us decide to replace our 8-year old, popping water heater, Toa arrived as scheduled and was excellent. The final installed work (plumbing, earthquake straps) is a marked improvement over the previous installation, and he also left the area very clean.

    Once we discovered our water heater had died, we discovered Water Heaters Only on the internet.     Amazing experience! My water heater was not working anymore and my usual repair man doesn’t work anymore. So I found this company online, I called them, someone came the next day, a Saturday. He didn’t try to convince me to replace the water heater, he just had the right piece to replace in his vehicle. He did it on the spot. Yes, it was not super cheap because the piece was expensive, I paid around $800 total, work included, but I was unfortunately expecting something like that. And since then, my water heater works perfectly. I’m happy because it is so cold right now and I wouldn’t have been able to continue having cold showers. I liked the efficiency, how serious they were, how the guy who came was on time and very professional, very nice, very polite.If it is needed again in a far future hopefully, I will call them again for sure.

    We were very fortunate today to call WATERHEATERSONLY today because being that our old water heater finally expired, we could not shower or use hot water anymore.The prompt office response was amazing, and we met with one of their installers at our condo. His name is Tony. He explained the process he would do and gave an estimate, which was the second one we received, today and was proper and reasonable.After asking how soon he could do the install, he told us early afternoon.     I called Water Heaters Only concerning installation of a new water heater because my existing water heater was approximately 16 years old and producing only room temperature water.The company was able to deliver a new water heater to my home in approximately four hours. They are nice on the phone, and the technician is very knowledgeable and very proud of his work.Thank you Mike and Seth!Here is what happened on a non-suspecting Saturday morning:I had an old Aquah 10liter tankless water heater that came with the house and it finally bit the dust!I actually had another guy lined up to look at replacing it for me but was no-show.So after a few Google search minutes later, I decided to give WHO a try.The call was made around 11am. Seth on the phone was super nice. He said the soonest he can dispatch a tech was Monday, so we made an appointment for Monday.Mike Cohen, the tech, called me by surprise around 1;30 pm, to tell me he had some job that fell thru and was in my neighborhood, and that he wanted to come by my house to look at the broken tankless water heater for a quote.But turns out he started immediately working on replacing my old tankless on the spot! So I did not have to wait a few days for the initial appointment, and Seth came thru with his words that he would put me first in the waiting list if some opening came up.I have not actually met a more excited water heater tech (or for that matter, any tech)! He was saying how he loved his job every chance he got, and that is very rare these days!And his excitement shows on the quality work he does.I really appreciated his enthusiasm, and asked if I can watch his work, to which he said, Sure! (I just wanted to see how a pro does water heater install. I know enough about it to know how hard it can be just to install a service valve on a tankless!)After removing the old tankless, he created a harness to attach the new one, replaced the old gas valve, replaced the old exhaust vent with a new PVC vent, climbed up the roof to put a hat on the vent, welded new copper water lines, new service valve, a couple of lines for drainage, and the list goes on.I asked him for tips on servicing the unit, to which he gave me a thorough insight and tips.After the job, he even asked for a shop vac and a wet mop for cleanup! Who does that anymore?And he loves his job! I love the job that he does!Oh yeah, and one of the first things he did was give me a SoCal rebate form, so that I may get some rebate from the gas company.Thank you so much Mike!PS.     Our old water heater died on Christmas Eve, not the best timing for trying to find a replacement. WHO went above and beyond to make the process simple. Max D. was especially helpful. He did an inspection of the basement set up, made suggestions that addressed issues we didnt know existed, provided several options to solve those issues (without any sense of him trying to oversell) and returned the following day for the installation. Hes knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Well gladly recommend Max and WHO to anyone unexpectedly facing cold showers and baths!

Inspected the unsecured heater cover, took 5 minutes to tighten the screws to secure it, and charged me forcan estimate instead of a service call since it was such a simple job.     Reference the satisfactory completion of Invoice 175607:Our plumber, Tony Edwards, arrived right on time and began by explaining what he was doing to do. I agreed with his assessment and he went to work without my supervision. Within an hour he had completed the installation and called for me to see a very professional job. Without my prompting he had installed my under heater pan and plumbed it to minimize any water damage should the water heater leak again. He reinstalled the existing recirculating hardware, redirected the overflow pipe, put insulation on all exposed water pipes. He also took the time to explain the state of the art thermostat. It was a pleasure to work with Tony Edwards. I will be sure to request him should I need any plumbing work in the future.

    Our water heater finally burst after 15 years. It was 9pm 12/20. I called my regular plumber, who couldnt do a replacement fro 2 days, so her referred me to Water Heaters Only. Their 24/7 customer service guy answered immediately and had me set-up for a replacement installation at 9am in the morning 12/21. Mike C Showed up on time, had the old tank drained and out in not time, set up the platform with new straps and up to code gas and water piping. Went out and returned with a brand-new unit, and we were up and running before noon, hot water a half hour later! Professional, thorough, courteous and less than I thought it would be!     From the moment I first called to ask for quotes and information regarding a possible repair or replacement of our existing hot water heater, the entire staff were patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.We ended up going with a new system -- a tankless water heater.Mike Cohen was our service technician and I cannot say enough good things about him.He and his trainee (Max) arrived ready to get to work.He did a quick assessment, then laid out all of our options in a clear, concise manner.     Excellent all around. I had a water heater go out, and I called them to weigh repair options. They were able to determine that the heater (from a previous owner) was over 12 years old and I knew it was time to replace. This is for a rental unit, and I didnt want the brand new tenant to be without hot water. And of COURSE, all of this is going down on a Sunday.They answered the phone immediately, described options, and by the end of the afternoon a new heater was making hot water in the unit, with a new fresh install all up-to-code and providing peace of mind.Max was the technician, and he was utterly top notch in every regard.

    Our WHO service man did a great job. We got a great quality water heater for $1000 less than a local plumber offered.He was professional and courteous. He knew what he was doing.     In the morning I realized that my old water heater had been leaking and needed replacement. By that evening the technician, Michael Cohen, was at my home with the correct size heater in the back of the van ready to do the work. It was his fourth stop of the day so it was already 6 PM when he arrived. By 8 PM he had completed the work. I appreciate them taking their Friday evening doing this replacement. Michael and his assistant/ trainee were very fast and efficient, doing more than I would have expected. He even replaced the old rotting plywood under my heater with some new stuff I happened to have around. It now looks great - and works. The final price was a few hundred over the estimated range I heard on the phone, but that was not a surprise. it was probably because I had everything brought up to current code. I was happy to use Water Heaters Only and will probably use them again - hopefully before it starts leaking next time.

    Obviously, replacing a water heater – especially under duress – can be a stressful undertaking. I was blown away by how helpful and responsive WHO was from the very first phone call. Absolutely above and beyond, problem-solving and troubleshooting well past what Id have ever expected. Over the course of several days, I think I must have spoken to nearly everyone at the company at some point – Kristen, Laurie, Julian, Alex, Erik – and each person was just as friendly and helpful as the last, everyone enthusiastically willing to engage with the various frustrating nuances of our unique situation (troubleshooting from afar while we were on vacation, finding the right tank for our oddly sized/shaped space). I cant sing their praises highly enough; they were confident, competent and friendly and they all went out of their way to help us make the best of a difficult situation. Max D was the one who ultimately came for the installation itself, and he was no different – another fantastic ambassador for a really exemplary company.     My first inkling that WHO was a reputable company was their responsiveness. I contacted them on a Friday and we had a dialogue over the weekend. It wasnt an emergency.     The installer Daniel Van Hove was very professional. He arrived about 45 minutes ahead of the scheduled work window after giving me a courtesy call first. He removed the old water heater and installed the new one by himself in a little over two hours. He was very organized and efficient, and gave the impression he could have done the job blindfolded. He explained the work and procedure beforehand and the operation and maintenance of the heater after finishing the installation. He volunteered to do a little extra work by fabricating an extension to the outlet of the safety drip pan through a notch he cut in the bottom of the heater closet door; with the extension, any overflow would drain directly onto the patio floor and would be immediately noticeable, and would not damage the wood flooring inside the closet. He was very courteous and friendly despite working in 100 degree heat in the patio. I hired the same company to install the old water heater 17 years ago and clearly remember being equally satisfied with the installation.

    Mike C. came out on a Saturday to replace my water . I only took him about 2 hours to get it done. He obviously has done this many times before. He was very professional and did a great job to California Plumbing standards. He bonded the gas line to the water lines and installed a sediment trap. Great job!     Filed a claim with Fidelity National Home Warranty for a leaking water heater. Was apprehensive since Fidelitys recent reviews were just so bad. In an hour after filing claim online, a service company called and immediately set appointment in two days. However, the following day, said company called that their technical man is down with flu and could not do the job and referred my claim back to Fidelity. In less than an hour, Daniel Vanhove of Water Heaters called and set same day appointment! Daniel arrived earlier than the scheduled time and inspected the water heater (13 years old) while pointing out to me other issues of the unit (apart from leakage). He apprised me the scope of work - replacement of the unit and other connections to bring it to code and make it safe. There were items not covered by the warranty but the amount was so worth it.     I highly recommend this company for replacement/repair of water heaters. When our water heater broke down suddenly, I found this company online. They answered my phone call on a Saturday morning and scheduled the appointment for the next day. The technician, David R Pullen, showed up to the premises on time.     Technician: Mike CThe scheduled appointment window was from 1-4pm. Quite a spread, but not unusual. On the day of, Mike called me and notified me he could come early.     On Sunday May 3, 2015 I called Water heaters only at around 2:30 pm reporting leakage in the water heater at my house. I was given an approximate estimate for the cost of installation of a new Bradford & White 50 Gas heater and was told that an installer will come to my house between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to give me an accurate installation cost. Ron Gautreau came exactly at 4:00 pm and his estimate was about the same as it was quoted on the phone. It took Ron about two and half hour to install the heater.     I am a Baptist minister, living in the parsonage - an old building. The water heater in the basement died on us a week ago. I called the gas company right away, to be informed by their technician a week later that my initial diagnosis was correct: we need a new water heater. Ok, first things first: turn off the gas, close the cold water valve, drain the tank, clean the floor.But wait, theres more!Turns out the valve is in a poor state, so as I am trying to drain the water heater, its still slowly trying to refill the tank.So, around 3 to 4 PM I think it was, I put that on hold and called around a few places to see who could come out THAT day, and Water Heaters Only definitely delivered.From setting up the appointment to the initial inspection with Marcus, our technician for the install, to the actual installation, everyone was polite and professional. Marcus took the time to listen to my thoughts and concerns, and assured me hed address all of them. He even had to hunt around the condo building for the main water line to our unit. After sunset. In the rain. I mean, he took care of everything, even laying down some canvas to protect the floor and keep the mess to a minimum. Afterwards, he answered any questions I had.So, would I recommend these guys? Absolutely. Would I call these guys again? For the water heater, I hope not anytime soon. But seriously, consider this company the next time you need a water heater. Its in their name!

    This is the third time that I have used Water Heaters Only at my townhouse in Santa Monica: A new hot water heater in approx.the year 1998 ($537 total), again in 2016 for a new hot water heater, and now in 2021 for a new control valve ($789.). The serviceman, Daniel VanHove was very professional and quick, talking me through his testing and removal-installation of a new control valve. I used WATER HEATERS ONLY for our other home in Dana Point last month ($2,300), I will call them in the future, and I would recommend WATER HEATERS ONLY. D. Anderson

    Outstanding job (invoice number 1028827). Not unusual for Angies List. Called and asked for same day replacement. An immediate estimate was given to me. The estimate was better or comparable to the other three I checked with. Was told that an installer (Tony) would be to house in about two hours. Actually it only took and hour. Gave the OK when the written estimate was given to me. Was told it would be two hours and it turned out the be exactly that. Tony did an exceptionally professional installation job. The entire transaction was without any difficulty. Additionally the old heater was hauled away. Would not hesitate to recommend Water Heaters Only and the installer.

    My water heater went out one night, so next morning searched online for a bit and came across Water Heaters Only. Called around 8:00 am and spoke to Justin, who gave straightforward information about price range, coupons, etc., and said they could have a guy out later that day. I explained that I had an expansion tank that needed replacing too, and he said he would make sure the plumber would bring one. I was a little concerned that they might forget about this, but sure enough Tony showed up with the expansion tank (as well as replacement water heater of course). Tony was very pleasant and professional. Not only did he replace the heater and tank, but he also replaced supply lines, the gas feed and gas valve, and installed copper pipe for T&P valve connection (previous tank was just PVC), all as part of the deal. Removal of old heater is part of service too. In less than two hours after Tony started, I was up and running again. The replacement heater is only a 6-year model, but it looks solidly built, with brass (not plastic) drain fitting and has a battery powered electric pilot lighter built-in. (Its not an electric igniter that fires up burner only when needed, but in case gas pilot goes out, no need to fumble with matches to re-light). That said, my old heater was a 6-year model too and it lasted over 15 years. Inv # 98665

    My water heater went out for the second time in two months. I called a local company that “repaired” my heater two months ago and they came out. They offered no help just relit the pilot and charged me for the visit. Two hours later pilot went out and I called to complain and was told they couldn’t do anything. I did a few searches and came across Water Heaters Only. They sent Tristan out on a Friday night in the rain to give me an estimate. He came back the next day and installed the heater and I couldn’t be happier. If you know you need a water heater don’t call a plumber, they won’t have one to install. The plumber who came out said I had to buy the repair parts or a new heater to get them to do anything. Water Heaters Only will put a new heater in that day if you want. There workers are professional and well qualified. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a new water heater.

    Tank was installed on 3/2/2019 by Mario.I called W.HO when I saw there was water in leaving from the tank (I didnt really know if the water was coming from the tank, or the pipes), and there was a lot of water in the garage coming from the tank. Mario came to my house promptly, and was able to correctly pinpoint where the leak was coming from. Given the age of my tank (14 yrs), I decided to replace the tank. Mario was very knowledgeable about water heaters (tank and tankless). He struck me as a nice guy who really knew about his trade. He didnt give up when he encountered difficulties getting the tank set up, and was honest with us about the whole process. He brought our tank up to codes and did a fantastic job with the installation. We highly recommend W.H.O.! Although the job was pretty costly, we dont feel ripped off, and felt Mario did a professional job, and when above and beyond to make sure it was a good experience for us.-Su Wu

    Came home from a Christmas holidays road trip to a leaking water heater on a Friday afternoon before a long New Years weekend. They gave me a quote ($1,600) and booked me for the following day (Saturday) between 11 & 2. They showed up at 11:30 and were out before 2!     I got an estimate for a 40-gallon water heater from Tony, which was on the high side because I had a power vent. I decided to go with a tankless water heater instead, so Mike gave me an estimate for that. The next day, on January 20, 2018, with assistance from Mario, Mike removed my old 40-gallon water heater and installed a tankless water heater in its place. It took about two hours to install. They did a great job, and gave me all the info I would need to maintain the unit.

    A confession: I was wary of Water Heaters Only, because it was the first thing that came up on Google when I searched for someone to replace my water heater. You know how youre always suspicious of the first one, like there must be something wrong with the easiest one to find?     Mike Cohen came to our rescue when our 100 gallon water heater (just six years old) stopped giving us hot water that we feared might need an expensive repair.
