    I canā€™t say enough about how pleased I am with the renovation of areas in my home. Thiessen Designs did a fabulous job. Every person who came through my door was an expert. They were kind, courteous, clean, creative, good people and masters of their craft. The details and workmanship were above and beyond. Kelly Ballard did so much to ease my mind throughout this process. I came into it paralyzed with fear of making design decisions. She helped me through it and came up with the best ideas. She even gave me confidence in making future design decisions. I am so happy with the results and I love my home!

    Thiessen Design and Construction was a joy to work with from the very beginning. Our designer, Kelly, helped us choose and order furniture and then installed home decor for a living room space in our new house. She also gave us a recommendation for an electrician to install can lights in that room and one other. Kelly was so incredibly helpful from start to finish. She was patient while I weeded through gobs of fabric swatches and when I was indecisive. She was responsive, helped me stick to my budget, and was very upfront about costs. Her design eye is incredible and I knew trusting her with the final details of our design install was a no brainer. I was blown away with the transformation. Our house was built in the 90s, and the design brought the living room back to present day. We also had Thiessen do an exterior rendering, which included paint colors and images of a few options for painting our house. My husband painted our house the colors from the rendering and it looks amazing! I know Iā€™ll work with Thiessen again soon!

    We are in love with the remodel that Thiessen Design and Construction completed for us earlier this year. We wanted to open our kitchen up to the rest of the house for more of an open concept, as well as raise our sunken living room. They were very accommodating in meeting the fairly aggressive timeline that we had requested of them, and the coordination of all of the contractors was timely and seamless. Kelly was very helpful in picking out all of the finishings, and assuring that the kitchen would be functional, as well as beautiful. We love the finished space!

    From start to finish, working with the Thiessen team was a dream come true. I enjoyed every minute of collaboration with Kelly and Tammy. TDC knows how to take a space and squeeze every ounce of functionality out of it in the most aesthetic way. We love the subtle changes to our layout that make our kitchen feel exponentially larger with increased purpose and design. We especially adore the appliance garage and our new pantry (a bonus upgrade from our old floating door.) Choosing TDC for this project was an easy choice knowing the quality of work and thoughtfulness that goes into each selection. I am only left dreaming of all the future remodeling projects I want to bring them along for. :)

    We had the pleasure of working with Thiessen Design and Construction for a recent home remodel. The project entailed updating two bathrooms and a staircase and adding a powder bath to maximize our familys needs. The team listened to our vision for the spaces and was able to accommodate our needs, keeping us on budget and informing us of progress along the way. We were most impressed with the creativity that went into repurposing existing space to create the much-needed powder bath.Our designer Monica was very attentive to our comments and opinions to create the spaces we envisioned. She has a great eye for design and coordinating colors and different materials to deliver the look that fits our lifestyle and home.Project manager Sean coordinated subcontractors and kept them on task. The subcontractors were very respectful of our home, minimizing disruption and keeping our home clean as much as possible along the way. Sean and his team were approachable and we were always able to contact them with any questions.Project coordinator Abbey kept in contact with us and made sure we were well-informed of what to expect as we moved through the project. Throughout the process she was approachable and easy to contact whether it was to schedule a meeting or give us a quick update, they were all supportive every step along the way.We love our new spaces and highly recommend Thiessen Design and Construction if you are considering a home improvement project.

    I canā€™t recommend TDC enough! Our project turned into almost 2 years with TDC (not their fault!) ā€“ they are what kept me sane through the process. I mostly worked with Kelly and am sad our project is over because I will miss talking to her weekly (sometimes daily!). She is such a sweet and kind human that is so talented at what she does. She went above and beyond on our project and I will never be able to thank her enough. The entire team at TDC that I interacted with were great. When we parted ways with our builder, Tammy and Kelly stepped in to assure me everything would be ok and helped me fill in the gaps so we could get our project complete. One of my regrets on our project was not hiring TDC to do the project from the beginning ā€“ I hired them for the design but wish I would have hired them when we started the architectural phase. We just moved in, but will update better picture soon!

    My husband and I moved to Topeka 2 yrs ago and really wanted to make our home more ā€œoursā€. Thiessen was very helpful in transforming our kitchen, family room and master bedroom. In the kitchen, we painted the cabinets, new countertops, hardware, lighting and decor. In our family room, the added decor and all of the new furniture pieces made the room extra special. And the transformation of our master bedroom included new paint, a seagrass wallpaper accent wall, new lighting and all of the decor again.     After following Thiessen Design on Facebook, there was no question about who I was going to contact for my own kitchen update. I love their light and modern design style and wanted the same look in our 22 year old kitchen with brown cabinets and ugly granite countertops. Using our existing cabinets and floor plan, Tammy and Kelly created a bright space with beautiful finishes. I loved the new kitchen so much that I immediately asked for their help to update the living room, dining room and stairway.     In 2019 Tammy Thiessen helped us remodel our bathroom in our 100+ home. Without her design expertise we would not have been able to keep the original clawfoot tub.Recently the Moen shower controller stopped working correctly. We contacted Tammy to ask who to call because it was still under warranty, SHE made a phone call and a brand new controller arrived at our door. After 4 years, she still took care of us!!

    Thiessen Design and Construction built our new home from the ground up! They were so knowledgeable of the process and timelines. We were not looking to do any construction with this project and were thrilled to learn that they could reimagine how we furnished and decorated our open concept living space.
