Canaan has done a significant amount of work for us over the past 3 years including siding and other exterior work, remodel of 2 bathrooms including an addition to the house, remodel of our kitchen which also included and addition to the house, remodel of our bonus room and installed a new deck for us. The quality of the work was top notch timing of completion was always as discussed but as importantly, the individuals who spent a significant amount of time at our home over the years (Richard and Shaun specifically but not excluding anyone) were great to work with and always respectful and very communicative. Lastly, my main contact (Mike) has been excellent. He always makes time for my questions no matter what time of the day or weekend/weekday (and I am sure many of my questions may be rudimentary/dumb). He has been proactive and always timely with answers and available for discussions or conversations about design choices. We highly recommend Canaan for any of your home remodeling needs.

Ive used Canaan for various projects, since I purchased my home 20 years ago. There is always something, with a house built in 1929, and Canaan has been my solution for much of it, from installing sub flooring in my attic, to retiling a small bathroom and installing a new toilet, to ripping out rotted paneling in my basement and plastering over the exposed walls, to rebuilding two brick archways, to repairing a chimney cap, to tuck pointing brick, to replacing rotting exterior wall panels and a rotting exterior door, to building and installing a flower box, to installing custom porch screens, to repairing a kitchen floor, to repairing and repainting a bathroom ceiling, and the list goes on. Canaan always does a professional job and completes the work in a timely fashion, and I never have to wait long for projects to begin, even though my projects are always small ones. I would definitely recommend Canaan to others.

I was in need of a repair to my lower chimney wood box due to extensive raccoon damage. Canaan was one of the few places that actually responded right away and gave me a quality estimate and I felt like they understood what the problem was. There was structural integrity damage. They are busy so it did take a little bit of time to get scheduled out when I was able to move forward; however, when the crew was here it was clear they knew what they were doing. Mike came to personally hand the project off. The crew was efficient and quick. I could hear them tag-team communicating on what needed done. The end result was they straightened my leaning chimney, built a better design for the lower box, to repair the integrity, and tie it in to the existing structure. They did a detailed job. They cleaned up after themselves and did a daily check-in. I would absolutely recommend Canaan. It was refreshing to work with a company and contractor who knew what they were doing after many bad experiences with other places for various other things. Below are pictures of before and after.

The Canaan team created a custom tile master shower replacing the old molded shower stall. Communications at all points were clear and timely. The plumber identified the need for larger feed lines and accomplished the work within budget. The tile work was well beyond expectations, a true work of art.

Remodel went well except one of the marble wall sections was cracked when the packing was removed. This delayed completion of the remodel as a new panel had to be ordered.The workers were pleasant, helpful and worked steadily to complete the work.I did not appreciate the billing stating that an additional fee would be charged if the bill was not paid within 30 days despite the job not being complete. The office staff were understanding when I shared my concern that the last payment would only be made when the job was complete.

Absolutely fantastic company to work with and their mason/brick crews are top notch! Had exterior walls and tuck pointing repaired on a very old home (was in bad shape), new outdoor brick kitchen, kitchen and bathroom remodel and walls removed. They did excellent work, and Im very picky.!A few minor changes which comes with renovating an old home, which were for the better. They also re-sealed my driveway which also looks fantastic! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND CANAAN COMPANIES!

Canaan added an upstairs bedroom, which required the roof to be removed and a new roof installed. Not an easy task and they did it perfectly. They also installed a new deck with kitchen and also did it perfectly. Enough said.

We did a bathroom remodel that included a tub to shower replacement. They worked with us when we wanted to do some of the work ourselves and got their work finished within the timeframe they promised! Their suggestions were very helpful when we had decisions to make that we were unsure of. We would definitely recommend this company and use them again.

I had my kitchen remodeled and a wall removed 3 years ago was very impressed on the speed and attention to detail . That’s why when I needed repairs to the outside of my house I called them about one month ago for an estimate sent me the estimate it was the lowest one I received. I had them do the repairs they were in and out and everything looks great .
