    I didnt buy solar from OGW but I wish I had. They helped and talked me through some issues I was having. Mike was great.Mike rented me a very specialized piece of equipment needed for ground mount installations that I didnt have. And they also talked me through CT installations for my enphase system.Overall, I ended up with a better install because of their help and expertise.My current array has never performed better and its because of their expertise and willingness to help out the local community.I now refer anyone who was looking for solar to them.Thanks Mike and Ray

    OGW did a stellar job for us! As the pitch of our roof was too steep, we worked out a plan to place the array on our east facing hillside. This was a first for OGW. They cleared the space of weeds, dug holes, placed the steel pillars in concrete and then built the array. Once the wiring was complete, the array was turned on and has performed flawlessly since - almost 10 months. OGW even secured a standby generator for us and provided an installer!

    I highly recommend OGW! I sought them out, not vice versa. I wanted the best technology possible for our installation (REC panels and Enphase microinverters, in my opinion). On RECs website, I searched for the top installers of their panels and saw OGWs name. After meeting Mike Flora and Nate Summers personally, I quickly asked for a proposal for our property.The entire OGW team (Mike, Nate, Kathy, and the installers) were 100% professional and really knew their craft. They quickly diagnosed and fixed a few startup issues, and my wife and I are enjoying these sunny days producing our own power!Ive recommended the company to two friends as well.     I highly recommend OGW Energy Resources for any resident wanting solar panels and save thousands of dollars over their lifetime! Their office staff and roofing team were very professional. There was constant communication along the entire process. I had a new roof installed (June 2023) prior to their Energy Resources group installing solar panels. Their engineers are very knowledgeable about solar energy and were very honest about the productivity of the panels along with how many I would need to support my goal. The panels they provided me were eligible for a 40% tax credit, which made going solar a very easy decision. Installation only took a couple days and the crew was great! For those on the fence about going solar, please reach out to OGW! It is great to now have no electric bill.

    The OGW family did an outstanding job from the quote process to the installation of the system and commissioning! Nate took time to fully understand our goals and explained that they strive to create a clean professional appearance of the system. Then Kathy diligently followed the various county and utility approval processes that was key to achieving our goal of completing the installation before the end of the year! The panel installation team were very quick and professional and finally the best was Mike and Cody who worked tirelessly to achieve an absolutely superb sleek look without any conduit running on the outside of our house! Once the system was operational, Cody ensured the connection of our Enphase to our Wifi in order to take advantage of the Enlighten app to monitor the system. Now I cant help myself from checking my energy production through the day! Hard to believe weve already had several days where my energy production exceeded what we used; cant wait until spring and summer! I definitely recommend anyone to check out OGW and get a quote! On a final note, I found OGW when after much research I identified a manufacturer of panels with the best performance warranty and looked for an authorized installer. It just so happened they were also an authorized installer of the inverters with the longest and most comprehensive warranty I could find.UPDATE! Its officially been a year since my system went on-line and Im happy to report the system has performed flawlessly and Ive not paid a single penny in electricity costs. Now Im installing an induction stove top and electric hybrid (heat pump) water heater with the ultimate goal of not being reliant on natural gas and further reducing my monthly energy costs/reliance.     We had OGW install a set of solar panels on our home’s roof and the overall experience was fantastic!The System: We had approximately 24 panels and 24 microinverters installed to generate energy. We already have a generator we use for power outages so there are no batteries in our system.System Design: OGW took our interests along with our home’s energy use, roof characteristics, property values, and generator size into consideration. Based on these, they developed a few plans for us to choose from. There are several nuances to picking the correct system for a home solar array and the sales representative walked us through the pros and cons of costs, lifecycle, property-value, and functionality characteristics. He was patient, informative, and did a very good job helping us pick the best system for our home.Preparation: OGW did all the paperwork for power company coordination, local permits, and inspections. This phase was flawless.System Installation: The system was installed over the course of two days. The team installed the rails, wiring, and electrical interface on the first day. The panels, inverters, and critter guards were installed on the second day. We were able to observe most of the work and the team was very informative. Installation damage was nonexistent, and the cleanup was perfect, no trash or random stuff was left behind. The wrap-up came at the end of day two when the tech walked us through the online monitoring and reporting system. At this point, we were on the grid and producing energy.Follow-on Performance: The system has been in for a few months and is working flawlessly. Our power generation is about 10% above our usage, which is normal for the summertime months. Our power bills no longer have any charges for energy delivery.Bang for the Buck: All things considered, (taxes, property-values, energy bills, equipment costs) we expect to be in the black for our system after six years. Because the system’s effective lifecycle is 15-20 years that is great long term value.Reliability and Support: Our system is new and there are no problems to report. However, OGW is monitoring our system and did do a quality check about a month after the installation. The combination of OGW’s reliability as a business and the equipment warrantees ensure our infrastructure costs are protected.

    After doing a significant amount of research, I decided to have OGW install my solar system, for the following reasons: 1. Great reviews from others that have had OGW install their solar system; 2. Theyre local. Too many horror stories out there of national companies that subcontractor out their work often leading to incomplete or shoddy work. OGW installed the solar panels in a matter of hours on the first day and connected us to the grid on another day. OGW folks were very personable and kept me informed of their progress the entire time. System works great and looks great. If you are considering going solar Id recommend you contact OGW. You wont be disappointed.

    OGW spent a great deal of time with us discussing solar panels for our roof. Kevin answered all of my questions and provided tons of information. Ultimately we decided not to get them, based on Kevins advice after visiting our property. Our city code would not allow us to place the panels on the sunny front of the house, and Kevin and Mike and the crew were honest and straightforward with us and let us know that we wouldnt get our return on investment if they were placed in our shadier back yard. It says a lot about this company that they were willing to lose our business so as not to promise something that wouldnt really work for us. I truly appreciate the integrity that OGW showed in honestly assessing our needs. Kevin was willing to go the extra mile to help us try to figure out different placements and configurations if we still wanted to get them, but in the end we took his advice and held off on panels. However, if we ever move to a home where solar panels would be a good return on investment, we know who to call!

    Very pleased with the end result of added solar capacity along with new battery backup. While cost to upgrade is always a concern, tax incentives do provide a very tangible assist in the ultimate net cost of the upgrade. Work proceeded on schedule even with material delays which created the need for a stepped completion by years end(2023) and then battery installation by the end of January 2024.

    When I first called, based on the on-line satellite image of my house, they told me that solar wouldnt be a viable solution for me. I informed them that I had removed a tree that was growing too close to the house, which had opened up the roof to the sunlight. They came out for an on-site appraisal and decided we could go ahead. The installation was completed 3 months ago and has run flawlessly since. When they say turn-key solution, thats what they mean. They let me know what to expect and those expectations were met across the board. Be aware, once you start a solar installation, you will need to stick with your current installer or any existing warranty will be voided if you add to the system later through a different installer. If I decide to add to this system, Id be happy to call OGW again. Start with the best and stick with them.

    We researched extensively for providers in the Cincinnati area to replace our roof and install Solar Panels. OGW was the only one that offered both services. Furthermore, they were honest and trustworthy from the beginning. They really understand their business.The equipment they sell is top of the line (which will save costs down the line), and they do not try to sell add-ons you do not need. They do not try dodgy financial models as we saw from other providers.Most importantly, they deliver on their commitments. The installation was very professional and as per schedule. There was only a minor detail where we had a minor issue and they fixed it immediately.A year has passed since installation. Both the roof and the solar panels are living up to the expectations and we have never had to call them back (which is great news in this case).

    The Shelby County Commissioners and the NCO Solid Waste Management District utilized OGW Energy Resources (OGW) to develop and install a a 45kw state of the art solar power system at the Shelby County Recycling Center in Sidney Ohio. OGW is an outstanding renewable energy company. Our experience using OGW was fantastic. Ray Davis and his team were professional, prompt, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. The project was completed on time and on budget. The system is performing flawlessly and is saving real money for the Shelby County Commissioners.Working with OGW made tackling this project very satisfying. They went out of their way to make sure we understood all aspects of the project from start to finish. They even spent the time to make themselves available for an open house for the recycling center to celebrate the new solar power system and to provide details on how the systems works to our guests. We highly recommend OGW to anyone interested in developing renewable energy project such as solar or wind. They also are very well versed in energy efficient lighting systems and retrofits.

    Okay, so you are looking around (like me) for a company that has great service, a competitive price, knows the technical details of what they are selling, and will look out for your interests. Basically you need to trust these guys. After running many companies through the ringer of my 5 page requirements document (you should have seen the looks I got), OGW was excited about the project and stood alone with the highest level of trust I could have asked for. Obviously my installation was a little more than a typical home installation with PV solar to grid, service and panel upgrades and NG generator installation. These guys are fellow engineers like me and bring that full level of professionalism to the effort. Dont listen to those guys who beg you for your utility bill so they can run a quote through their canned program and give you the sales pitch about how they are the best. OGW really is the best in the area.

    OGW recently finished a residential PV system design/installation for me. I was very impressed with the time they took to design the system for my needs / location and presented me with a couple options depending on what I thought my future requirements might be.Much thought and research goes into the products they install and they gladly explained their process for determining which to use in different scenarios.I appreciated the constant communication during the project, even during periods of waiting for materials to arrive or weather to cooperate. They easily navigated all the various permits and utility agreements for me as well.Installation went very well - they took great care of my property while they were there and quickly worked out a few post-installation kinks.I am very glad I chose OGW for this project - design, communication, products, and installation are all top notch. I wouldnt hesitate to support this local business again.

    We were searching for a solar installer company in Ohio, to install a residential PV, and battery backup system in our home. We had already chosen Enphase as the component manufacturer. We contacted them for installer recommendations, and they offered OGW. We contacted them, and Ray was very knowledgeable, and did not try to upsell us more than we needed. We are incredibly happy with our system, which has been in operation now for 6 months. Also, as a note, I do believe that this was the first Enphase battery system that OGW had installed, and they made sure that went smoothly as well, and my township building inspector made a couple last minute changes that he wanted but couldnt backup with code requirements, and OGW made him happy quickly to get our system up and running.Thanks to everyone at OGW.

    OGW Energy Resources have proven themselves as an excellent industry leader, proactive and conscientious in the work. OGW understands all aspects of their own business, from initial design and contract, including permitting and priority scheduling, to installation and the logistics necessary for minimum maintenance. Their contract prices are industry competive, very reasonable for the time and labor involved, and significantly lower than other solar solution providers I had considered before meeting them. Although any permanent solar installation requires planning and foresight, and likely involves a number of steps to completion, OGW makes this easy for customers by working courteously and efficiently, keeping any hassle to a reasonable minimum.I cannot really praise the virtues of buying into solar highly enough. Solonoid technology has been around for some fifty years or more, coming to public attention and then disappearing into the background again. Predictably, the number one complaint/objection has tended to be that it’s too expensive (or that it won’t help because solar would need to work in places without enough sunlight). I’ve also heard before that the average person is likely to replace every single battery they ever use, rechargeable or otherwise, before needing to replace a single well-made solar panel even once. The obvious truth is that solar power production has tended to become more affordable with growing interest, as people have also predicted.Considering that solar-produced electricity is a renewable resource, even though it does require manufactured quality materials if it’s going to be durable, solar power is as economical as it is likely to become before any mass cultural integration makes paneling ubiquitous. I was surprised by additional details I hadn’t considered: a roof-module assembly can produce the equivalent of and up to several times a building’s typical electrical consumption while occupying only a small fraction of the surface area available. By example, this works out to approximately 4:1 or greater during the typical hour while using 1/8th of the roof or less for my house. The actual math has worked out to a little over 100kWhr of electricity produced and recorded during the first month since installation and a carbon offset equivalent to about two trees. A responsible and realistic person cannot expect to do more for everyone in the future with less and succeed at it.In summary, OGW Energy Resources does excellent and timely work at a quality price and I’ve found doing business with them a pleasure. If you or anyone you know has been considering making a worthwhile decision about renewable energy sources but keeps putting it off until later, I would highly recommend you speak with a representative at OGW at your earliest convenience.     These guys are great. Incredibly professional and honest. Wed earlier bought an array from Pink Energy (oops), and the Pink inverter broke down right about when Pink declared bankruptcy. We decided to double down, had OGW replace the inverter with a bigger one and add more panels. Now the whole array works great.

    OGW has been amazing to work with. While they delivered on EVERYTHING they promised, and more, the thing that really impressed me was an incident that happened while they were doing the install. One of the installers accidently dropped his tape measure on our new car hood causing a very slight dent and didnt chip the paint. Several times OGW tried to have me get estimates and have the repair done but I felt it was too minor to deal with. OGW persisted and had a dent removal guy come to my house. Just one example of why I fell OGW is an outstanding company to work with. Oh, our panels are working great . . . just as they promised. I highly recommend them to everyone who asks about our solar panels.

    I am a homeowner in Miami County. Recently I saw information on the internet about Ohio solar incentives. I filled out a form and then got a call. Once that person got on the phone, instead of answering what I thought was a very simply question, i.e. what is the current Ohio incentive for solar, he would not answer my question but instead wanted to set up an appointment. I promptly told him not interested and hung up. I then called OGW and spoke with Kevin, one of the owners. He answered my question immediately, and that answer was there currently are no Ohio incentives for solar. He also answered my other questions in a straightforward manner which I definitely appreciated. Being 72 years old without much savings solar is not a viable option for us, but it might be if there were additional incentives on top of the current federal tax credit of 26%. Anyway, I just wanted to write a review and state I appreciated the fact that Kevin answered my questions in an honest and professional manner. If I had the money, I would do business with this company.

    We had a terrific experience with OGW! Out of the gate they provided a tremendous amount of information around going solar. They very much wanted to help us understand all aspects of having a solar array and were eager to engage in extended discussion about the same. Quote process was easy and thorough. OGW did NOT try to over-size the array which we experienced with other outfits. In addition, OGW promotes top-quality panels and inverters. Installation came off without a hitch and the array is working perfectly.     We have had OGW Energy Resources install two systems at both of the businesses we own and from the initial consultation to the completion of the installs they were very professional and pleasant to work with. The installation crew did a great job and we highly recommend them if you are considering having solar installed at your business or home.

    We spent a few months speaking with companies and doing research before choosing OGW. From the beginning it was obvious they werent trying to oversell us and wanted us to pick the best solar array for our needs, not the biggest and most expensive unit for them to profitfrom. Install went well, 1.5 days, and we were up and running. It is so fun to watch the Enphase app show the solar energy production in real time! Duke did give us a few hiccups along the way, changing what they did or did not want, but OGW quickly responded and we are now net metered and enjoying our green energy.Highly recommend.
