Its taken me a month or so to get to this; but by no means does that reflect on Carmeans work, just my laziness.These guys worked their butts off on my house. In buying my house those decades ago, Ive been living with knob+tube wiring for the last 36 years. Now, since Im a vampire (I rarely have a lot, or any lights on) my electric use really didnt concern me. BUT in wanting to update some fixtures in the house, or add outlets to the front porch, something had to give.Springfield had a mature home repair/yard decoration event and thats where I found them. An appointment was made, they came, and voila....they were hired!I expected it to take a month or two as I was requesting the WHOLE house to be rewired. Boy did they prove me wrong!They had my whole house rewired in just under 8 working days!!! And as it was this past summer, some of those days were brutal, what with being in the attic and all.I am extremely pleased with their work, my availing myself to help them in any other fashion (when needed), and their professionalism.For anyone out there: these guys (and gal, Melanie) were great! Thank you SO much for getting my home into the 21st century and making it much safer to do any further lighting or other update when/if needed.Bryon

I am very happy with the job done by Carmean Electric! They are under new ownership and dedicated to providing good service. I lost power due to an underground issue. They came out that day, repaired the line and got our power back on. We have a well pump so it was crucial that we get our power restored asap. I would definitely recommend them and already have plans to hire them for other less emergent jobs in the future.

My home definitely feels safer from Carmean Electric’s work. They have performed two jobs at my home. After I moved into a new home, wiring in my basement was repaired and a dangerous issue was resolved. The problem did not reoccur. More recently, my fan motor broke, and electrical arcing and smoking occurred. The broken fan was removed and my new fan was installed. Exposed wiring near the fan was also covered so again, my safety was prioritized. Finally, I’d like to compliment the professionalism of staff, they were on time and performed great work.

The whole process from project design to cleaning the work area was stress free. The work crew were very courteous and answered all of our questions. There was some minor damage to one of the walls which they pointed out to us and said it would be repaired at their expense. The next day the owner Curtis and his wife Melanie came and made the necessary repair. That’s customer Service at a whole new level.

I hired them to replace a gfci for a customer. It was not completed, when I showed up the box was left open.I do believe this was mostly miscommunication.After, informing the company it was not up to standards, they immediately went to work making it right.They corrected the situation within 2 days.I am 3hrs away and they were great with sending pictures and keep me in the loop.They are on the more expensive side, but if they work this hard to make sure things are right. It worth it.

Unfortunately our job happened in the middle old management and new management, old employees and new employees. We had several items that missed or unfinished but Curtis made sure everything was correct and up and running. He was committed to providing us with the best service possible and didn’t leave us high and dry with excuses of that was them this is us, etc.

If you need electrical work done, Carmean should be your first call. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and despite the size of the job they did a great job minimizing the impact on my family. I can’t recommend them enough!
