    Where do we start with Domenick?! By far a diamond in rough that is the contractor business in the Poconos. Our experience with Dom was flawless from the start: we contacted him about our need for a demo/deck construction and exterior paint and he came out right away to do our quote. He asked thorough questions, made thoughtful suggestions, and even gave us a few pricing options (pressure treated wood vs. trex) and the full breakdown of the cost down to the price of screws. We wanted a contractor we could truly trust and would do quality work, and we knew from the start we could get that from Dom.Once we agreed to move forward, Dom and his team worked with us on the drawings, and handled everything we needed to do through the permit process with the township. This alleviated so much work for us-as other contractors we spoke with did not offer this above and beyond service. Once approved—Dom got straight to the demo of our old, rotted and about to collapse “deck”, and right to working on the new deck.He also did exterior paint for us-which was not an easy task! We had window repairs that needed to be done and Dom sealed them up and make sure every inch of our home was painted to perfection. He does NOT cut corners or use “easy fixes”. His quality and attention to detail is unmatched.We are so happy with the final product of both our modern exterior paint, and our new living area: our deck!! Dom used his brilliant skills and creativity to suggest the large step down in the back, to give us more of an open concept , and we love it!!If you are on the fence and looking for a contractor you can TRUST, someone who will be responsive, professional, and extremely talented (not to mention an overall great guy), hire Dom and Artisanal Finishes for your next project!

    Cant thank Domenick enough for his help on the gut renovation project of our new house. At first, I was skeptical because he charged $65 to come and give me a quote (thought quote always free). After he came, I realized that his service well worth every penny of it. He asked the most questions, measured the most detailed, and even gave us a brilliant idea of how to remodel the bathroom, which turned out a great update from the original and a big reason why we hired him. After hiring him, Domenick helped us put together architectural drawings for township permit, went through various processes with the zoning officer on our remodel plan and got things going. During the project, he was always on top of everything. When he met any questions or problems, he gave me a call not just telling me what the problem is but giving me options and suggestions.He may not be the cheapest among all local contractors, but he will give his 120% effort to get things in the right way no matter the project is big or small. There are very few trustful contractors in Poconos area and Domenick definitely is one of them. I will hire him for whatever renovation projects I have in the future.

    I’m an avid DIYer, but taking on a full bathroom remodel in my Pocono cottage was more than I could handle. After talking to several contractors, I found Domenick and Artisanal Finishes. From the beginning, I had a great experience. We talked for hours in a collaborative first meeting before landing on a design for the space. The quality of work completed is flawless, Domenick will not leave something in place that could cause problems later. It’s a tiny room and we love the transformation. We are now efficiently using the space and have added elements of style and uniqueness to our home.

    I was looking for a reputable contractor to replace my porch which was in disrepair. I was lucky to find Dom of Artisanal finishes. He showed up on time for the initial meeting to assess the scope of work. That was a Saturday morning and I received the quote on Sunday. He was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. And from start to finish when there were options Dom provided insight as to the positives and negatives to each option. He also provided detailed pictures of the process as the job progressed.     Domenick was referred to me with positive recommendations by a close friend. Upon first meeting Dom, we were impressed by his professionalism and eagerness to listen to our ideas with regard to planning the remodel of our downstairs living area. We hired him for the project, which included painting and flooring the basement and laundry room, a full bathroom renovation, installing basement doors and banisters, and additional aesthetic and functional components. With Dom’s expertise, attention-to-detail, and time management skills, our project moved along accordingly. Dom did a great job communicating with us throughout the project and executed excellent on-the-spot problem-solving skills to ensure that everything was completed efficiently. He was always cognizant of our needs and cleaned up after himself. We are so glad that we chose to go with Dom for our remodel. Our downstairs living area looks amazing, and we have received numerous compliments on his work. He did such a great job with the project, that we asked him to complete miscellaneous aesthetic updates throughout the remainder of the home as well.     I got Doms name from my neighbor Dan and Im so glad he introduced us! Dom did a fantastic job in my dining room and stairway. He was prompt in arriving and the care he took to prepare the area prior to painting was impressive. He took his time and fixed little details that other workmen before him had not done as well as they should have and it made a big difference to how nicely finished the job looks. My house is quite old and there are a lot of irregularities to deal with but the room looks great. This experience gave me the confidence to have Dom do the full renovation that Id been planning on my kitchen and refresh of the bathroom. The job presented every challenge imaginable but Dom met them all with patience and skill.My only regret is that I didnt meet him sooner, my kitchen and bathroom look fantastic, I couldnt be happier. I highly recommend Dom. He is always patient, honest and concerned with your budget as well as your comfort during the process and expertly managed all of the aspects of the job.

    Dom is simply the best! Amazing contractor. Calls back, checks in frequently, sends photos of the work, finds solutions to any problems and can do it all! He and his crew painted our entire home, including kitchen cabinets, installed hard wood floors, replaced our kitchen and bathroom countertops, installed a dehumidifier in kitchen basement, installed new sinks and plumbing in our bathrooms, sanded our beams and installed new hardware on our cabinets and doors. All of the work was high quality and done in a timely fashion. Really doesn’t get better than this.On every job there are unforeseen challenges. It’s really wonderful working with a contractor who cares and will let collaborate with you to get then job done right.

    From start to finish, Domenick and his crew were not only friendly, professional, and timely with their work, but they took great pride in their craft and refused to compromise quality.     Domenick was awesome. Had massive water damage. He raised the house to fix sill plate, replace new main beam, on top of re-finishing 2 bathrooms drywall entire house, new kitchen electrical and plumbing work and outdoor deck also. Great quality of work at super fair prices.

    Dom was incredible to work with. I hired him to help repair a damaged bathroom. It was a fairly large project. His communication throughout the entire process was excellent, his pricing was fair, and he made sure he completed the project to my satisfaction. I highly recommend hiring Dom/Artisanal Finishes!!     Domenick Bongiorno took time out of his busy schedule in between projects to take on a ceiling repair and a parkay floor repair. He took into consideration that the house was built in 1915. He respected the existing conditions and formulated proper repair techniques for the job at hand. He was very meticulous and clean with his approach and subsequent work. I am a hands-on person myself and I thought I could have easily done this repair until witnessing what he had to do to make it right. I must admit that I would have made this repair worse if I was allowed to proceed. Thankfully it was done right and I was quite impressed. I did enjoy, however, being Domenick’s helper. In this way I did not compromise my ego. Overall my wife and I were exceedingly satisfied and after some discussion we agreed to proceed with our plans to renovate our kitchen and minor modifications in our bathroom.     Ive been meaning to write a review for Artisanal Finishes. When I do renovations, I usually wait a few weeks to write a review to ensure the quality of the service sustained itself. Its been about ten weeks and counting and Im happy to report the quality is in tact.Domenick is amazing and a professional. Hes a true craftsman and takes tremendous pride in his work, as well as works in the best interest of his clients. He’s a pitbull when managing other contractors and vendors. His final product reflects his commitment to quality, more importantly you get what you pay for. If you want cheap, just remember cheap doesnt mean cheap. It just means cutting corners and eventually paying for it later. If you want commitment to quality, advisement, experience, a problem solver, detail focused and contractor that will probably end up being your friend, Domenick is it. Hes a trusted partner and definitely repeat for us for our future projects.

    Thank you Domenick for the great job you did installing our mouldings, doors, lights and dimmers. After being highly recommended by a friend and seeing the attention to detail and quality work you did at my dads house, we decided to entrust you with upgrading our hallways and stairs with moulding. Our house had many challenges that you were able to brilliantly overcome with your skill and perseverance. You never got flustered with problems that came up and with patience, innovative thinking and some humor you were able to overcome these challenges. The hallway looks like a photo in a magazine and we couldnt be more pleased with how it turned out. Additionally, everyone who has seen your work have commented how great it looks.     I cant say enough good things about Dom at Artisanal finishes. My previous experience contractors left a sour taste in my mouth about the whole industry so i was skeptical to hire anyone. However, Dom revived my hope and exceeded my expectations 10 fold. Dom and his team were super professional at a great value. I hired them for a very complex job to install a new bathroom in my basement. This required digging up the slab for plumbing and installed a large sewage pump for proper drainage to my septic. He went above and beyond with his work and the finish product came out beautifully! He not only was a perfectionist but was transparent about all the work and $ along the way. He was always communicative and broke down the job into terms i could understand explaining exactly what he was doing in detail. He was also very collaborative with my wife and I, making sure he was giving us exactly what we wanted. He also supplied a detailed breakdown of all cost involved every step of the way. He showed up everyday and even worked some weekends and into the evenings to ensure that he completed the job by the deadline. There is no doubt that I will be using Dom again for all my major renovations.You really helped us get through a tough year in our lives and cant thank you enough.Youre the man Dom!

    Gabriela & Dominick were able to redesign my apartment from a 1960s relic to a modern concept equipped with all the comforts and amenities required for city living. They listened to my desires for the space and made suggestions that aligned with my vision and accommodated for my lack of construction know how. They were more than I could ask for and the finished product is beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this team for any home design and rehabilitation work.

    We feel so, so fortunate to have found Artisanal and Dom (owner)!At the inspection for our new vacation home, we learned the deck was worse than we originally anticipated and was an immediate safety risk. Luckily, shortly after moving in, we found Artisanal via a recommendation on our community website.Dom and his team did a complete rebuild of our deck from the ground up, including incredibly secure footings (which it formerly did not have); a stunning, extended deck; an additional entryway to our side yard, and (my personal favorite) the addition of a screen room, which was built from scratch in a fairly complicated area (Dom had to make use of an old, sloped roof).Dom is easy to work with. He takes care of absolutely everything from start to finish (i.e. permits and other paperwork); he has vision and brings many ideas; he has a solution to anything you throw at him; and *most importantly* HE has an exceptionally high bar for his work, which means you never have to worry about the quality (i.e. Dom proposed the stunning diagonal planks on our deck because HE wouldnt have been happy with them needing to change direction at the corner).I highly recommend Artisanal and will be using Dom for years to come! He is already working on his next project for us, a new door :)

    After almost 30 years my original pressure treated deck was in bad shape and needed replacing. After doing other work for me and my family in the past I jumped at the opportunity to contract Dominick to take down the old deck and build a new one. When Dominick came over to size up the work and project cost he proved to have tremendous foresight as there was a beam that sat between the existing deck and home foundation that needed replacing. I could not even see how much this beam had rotted over the years. It is a critical part of having a stable deck. Dominick did a thorough inspection before providing the costs to me and identified the scope of the project up front due to his expertise. The result was he gave me a very accurate and comprehensive project estimate for what was a big job. Sure enough when the existing deck was removed the poor condition of this beam and subsequent replacement was not a surprise and was accounted for from the time he planned out the project. Dominick is a full service contractor in every way. His company worked with me to choose materials which matched my vision (composite decking for low maintenance, matching the aesthetic of my country location, lighting for nighttime etc.), provided architectural drawings, processed all necessary permitting requirements for my township and private community and coordinated all material deliveries to the job site. Dominick’s time frame for the work to be completed was spot on. As this is a second home for me, he provided me daily updates including pictures and videos to keep me updated on his progress. He and his staff worked meticulously to pay attention to every detail. No detail was skipped to build the new deck to last for many years to come. Once completed I was so pleased to see how beautiful it came out and how strong and sturdy it had been constructed. Visually the new deck fit in perfectly with my surrounding backyard. Dominick and his staff did a masterful job in replacing part of my backyard which had been affected by the construction (he had anticipated this too!) with landscaping updates. The result is a brand new deck which has enhanced my entire property both outside and inside my home (he added a new glass sliding door to complete the transformation). Dominick I cannot wait to barbecue and enjoy the birds and wildlife from my new deck. Thank you and your staff for your professionalism and dedication to your craft and making the entire project such a pleasant experience as you are the consummate gentleman. He was patient to listen to me, pleasant to work with and extremely detailed oriented. I have never seen such care in protecting the owners belongings or making sure the walls were perfectly plumb for the impeccable paint job.     Artisanal Finishes Inc headed by Domenick Bongiorno has done several renovation projects for me and my family in the past. I have done big and small projects with him and they are a first class home improvement contractor from start to finish. This company does superior work and their craftsmanship is impeccable. I moved to a new home on the water in 2023. The interior of the home was in great shape after a major rebuild caused by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. However, the majority of the rear deck and bulkhead wall was in critical need of replacement. I only took on this project and home purchase because I knew that Domenick and his crew were the answer to getting this work done, otherwise I never would have bought this house given the challenges of constructing a very large deck right on the South Shore waterways of Long Island, in addition to replacing a deteriorated bulkhead. Domenick took on complete responsibility from day one through completion. From overseeing the bulkhead contractor with tearing down the existing 30-year-old bulkhead to working closely with them to ensure that the new bulkhead (sea wall) was built to specifications and building standards. Consequently, he lined up his crew to haul and spread several tons of sand and stone to build back the eroded grade on the back side of the bulkhead. He then mobilized on the job with the best helical pile contractor and the best engineer whom not only certified calculations for the new structural support but also underpinned the foundation walls of my house, this is old school practice you really don’t see any more, but of course this was a critical part of the project as the foundation is sitting on the water, so the helical piles were screwed into bedrock some 16 feet down to provide the necessary strength to hold the house and structural deck framing. Once this crucial scope of work was completed, Domenick said let the fun begin. While Dom and the Engineer worked on a design that met my needs of a functional outdoor living space along with a boardwalk area for our new boat, his crew was installing smart vents on my foundation walls, dehumidifiers and fans in the crawl space and a security system with cameras and motion lighting, adding overall value and protection to my investment. Once the new Deck design was approved by me Domenick and his crew began this enormous 80-foot deck construction with all marine grade lumber for the framing and beams. He then installed composite deck boards, powder coated aluminum fencing with lighting options. During the course of the job Domenick listened to all of our wish list and provided great solutions along the way. Domenick and his crew worked from early mornings through sunset as well as Saturdays in order to finish this project before my birthday. Finally, the night of my birthday I was able to sit back with my family and admire the new work of art that came to life right before our eyes with all the special lighting, fencing and geometric deck board designs, it was a Masterpiece. I cannot stress enough how well Domenick took full ownership and control of this project. It is because of him and his crew that I am receiving the highest compliments from friends, family and every boat owners passing by my property on the water. Thank you Domenick, and the Artisanal Finishes Crew for rendering an outstanding accomplishment as always. We will enjoy this new deck for the rest of our life.
