    I cannot say enough good things about J & L Chimney! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely amazing. Erin in the office was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Lou, who came out to do the work, was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly hardworking—you can really tell he takes pride in what he does.On top of all that, their pricing was very fair, especially considering the high quality of the service. I’m not someone who hires out work very often, but this was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I highly recommend J & L Chimney to anyone needing chimney work done. You won’t be disappointed!

    Installers were very professional and polite.They explained everything that needed to be done. Work was completed in a timely and very clean manor . The installed fire place unit is beautiful and works great. Fireplace unit was explained and shown how to use. Exterior work and clean up was also excellent. We highly recommend the service and care they gave us for this job.

    I had an insurance cancellation due to purchasing a new home and things not being done properly in the past on the property. I called J&L and Erin was amazing to work with. Not only did she come to me to collect the payment, she went to my house to put her eyes on the job and make sure they could complete the job as needed. They kept in contact with me throughout the process and made sure I was completely satisfied from beginning to end. I recommend them to anyone in need of chimney work and I will be calling them to complete any and all my needs.

    In our home buying process it was determined that we needed a chimney inspection completed. J&L Chimney was able to schedule one the day after I called and able to get us the results of the inspection as well as the estimate for the repairs within days. During the inspection they were thorough, professional, and wonderful at explaining what they were looking for and why. The entire process was extremely easy and they were wonderful to work with.Update: After we determined what was needed they were able to complete the work promised in a timely manner. Communication was wonderful, and the work was well done. We are very pleased with this company and highly recommend them!

    My chimney is in bad shape, called J&L chimney to give me a quote. They looked at it and told me they could fix it by putting a liner in . This would cost me thousands. My heating system is an old broiler( which could stop working any day). They told me instead of putting the money in the chimney why not put it in a new high efficiency heater therefore I would not need the chimney.So I did put in a new heating system.I was so impressed with the fact they were saving me money and not trying to scam me for that dollar. They even took the time to explaine what heating system I should get.I did not use their services, but I would recommend this company .Thankyou J&L Chimney

    J&L was amazing! I wasn’t involved with my boyfriend when he bought the house so I didn’t have all the pieces to what was going on with our wood stove insert. J&L was quick to look into it for me and find the notes on the inspection and fit me in ASAP to figure out what was wrong. They were beyond helpful with explaining things to me and where my problem was and help me understand. Amazing service from start to finish! You can not go wrong with J&L, beyond great company!     Very happy with our experience with J&L Chimney! Weve had work done on our house with various contractors this spring/summer, and in the midst of post-covid shortages and delays, J&L Chimney not maintained open and transparent communication with us, they also got the job done in the timeframe that they quoted us - very impressive under the current circumstances! Everyone we worked with was friendly and willing to work with our schedule when we had conflicts with what was originally proposed with us, which I really appreciated. I was also very impressed by how efficiently they got the job done when they were actually here working on the chimney. Overall, a great experience and were so glad that we choose J&L Chimney to help us out. If we ever need work done in our chimney in the future, we wont hesitate to call J&L Chimney again!

    I finally found a chimney cleaning service that I am very happy with. Tried many others that were rude, seemed lazy with cleaning, did not give me the information about my chimney smoking in to the house. J&L was very polite, thorough with the cleaning and informed me of a few things causing my fireplace to smoke into the house that others never explained. Their video inspection also found some wooden beams under the fireplace that should not be there that no other company ever found. Great Job all around!

    J&L inspected our chimney and showed us where it didnt meet code. They provided a variety of options and helped us understand them. We selected a gas fireplace, which J&L installed on time and on budget. Since then, we have spent many hours enjoying the warmth and ambience.My only complaint is that I rated J&L before but I keep getting requests to rate them again. Maybe there was a system error.

My wood stove chimney liner was not initially installed property and they recognized this and likely prevented me from having a chimney fire! !     J&L were great, we had what we thought was a dead rodent in our chimney. They came out immediately and actually found and remove three squirrels for us. They were very professional and even provided us with a roofing contact to get some quotes on our roof. They also measure and installed a custom chimney cap to prevent any future unwelcome visitors. The only issue we had was they had told us they were going to come out on a certain day and something must have come up because they never showed that day but did come the following week.

    Bought a house in Shrewsbury PA needed someone to check chimney for oil tank burner and also check wood burning stove. Contacted J&L Chimney and Lou and JIm came out looked over and inspected everything and told us what we needed to be up to code and safe. They both came yesterday to install new pipe going down chimney to oil tank because original one was corroded and they also installed a new wood burning stove with all the new fixtures pipes etc. They worked hard all day long but in the end I have a better working oil tank furnace and a beautiful new wood burning stove to keep us warm. We cant thank them enough for their expertise and workmanship. Since we have never had a wood burning stove Lou stayed and put some wood in the stove which they supplied made sure we knew what to do and what to look for. If you are looking for professionals and guys who know what they are doing then J&L Chimney is for you. Thanks again Lou and JIm and Erin the office manager who was such a great person to help us out .

    The cap to our chimney blew off, after multiple google searches I was able to find J&L. The guys came out and evaluated the situation. They were able to find the appropriate parts and make the repairs. They also brought the chimney up to current code and cleaned it as well. They were professional and friendly. They worked to keep the areas they worked in as clean as possible. They were very cognizant of protecting our belongings with drop clothes and wore shoe covers appropriately.     The crew was great. They were efficient and explained the process and inspection findings clearly. They were also careful to take care of the floor and took care not to create any mess, which is important when cleaning or inspecting a chimney.     J&L went above and beyond in my opinion. They were on time and came in below the estimate, due to double checking something from the first estimate. Something that they originally thought would need to be done, didnt...which saved us money (who does that???) Once the job was complete, Lou wasnt happy with the 4 pipe, so he came back a few days later and replaced it with a 2 pipe.I would not hesitate to use them again and I have told friends and family about them.

    I called to have my chimney cleaned and inspected. However he told me it looked good and didnt need cleaning for no charge. Also needed my drier vent cleaned. It had been installed wrong. He fixed it and now it dries better that ever! Pleasant to work with, on time, and tidy. Will hire again.

    J and L Chimney did an AMAZING job on my chimney. They repainted the top of my chimney and matched the old mortar on the bottom of the chimney perfectly. They installed a chimney liner to protect against moisture and furnace fumes—which is why the mortar corrosion occurred in the first place. They replaced my furnace flue. Lastly, they installed a beautiful chimney cap to prevent chimney clogs.They could not have done a better job. Erin at J and L Chimney communicated with me understandably through every phase of the job better than any service company that I have ever used. Also, the estimate ended up being the price and I have found that to be rare. Usually the final job costs much more than the estimate! I could not be happier with the job J and L Chimney did and I highly recommend them if you need chimney work.

    Very thorough and knowledgeable in codes and construction. Although my chimneys need repaired and I wasnt prepared for that expense I was very pleased with the inspection that was done.
