    This is my second time using Ace Handyman Services and the experience was wonderful. Jeffery was professional and able to attach my over the range microwave which was longer than originally measured. He found the best solution that would do minimal damage to the backsplash. If you have any pending “honey do” projects at home give them a call. They also give a military discount 😉.

    Ace Handyman provided information upfront about their process and pricing. It was easy to schedule a tech to visit. Two of my light fixtures were loosening up; falling down from the ceiling. Their tech, Don Duce, was able to troubleshoot and fix it quickly.

    Fantastic work. Ben came to blow stuck leaves off the roof and clean off the 3 sky lights. I think it was the coldest, windiest day of the week so it was it was a challenge to be on the roof. He helped me install by winter storm door too.

    Scheduling & pricing is straightforward & very fair. Super nice folks all around. My “handyman” Jeff was easy to talk to and did a great job replacing kitchen faucet and bathroom vanity top & faucet. And there is 1 yr warranty on workmanship!!! Highly recommend checking with Ace Handyman first for your home projects.

    Hired Ace Handyman to install chandeliers, ceiling fans, and two other light fixtures. Jeff & Don were the technicians that completed the work. They arrived in time & were very professional. The work was completed to my satisfaction. Pricing & expectations were clearly defined ahead of work. Pricing was very reasonable. I will definitely be using Ace Handyman for any future handyman needs.

    We had leakage through our fireplace after a storm. Dylan and Jeffrey came out, went all the way up on our roof and fixed/sealed the problem…and since they had time, Dylan very generously fixed the two large holes that our dog chewed on one of our walls. After living in northern VA for 9 years, we have finally found our go-to handymen! They are extremely professional, know what they are doing, honest and so nice. Thank you Ace Handyman!

He tackled every task which included fixing a fence gate that was falling off (and we didnt know it); removing an old satellite dish; fixing the interior of some skylight damage; and repairing some shutters on the outside.Dylans attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship really stood out. He made sure everything was done to perfection and even took the time to clean up afterward, leaving our home spotless.     Don, Dylan and Ben were way beyond my expectations!! As a realtor with 30 years in the business, finding quality people to team up with is not as easy as you would think. These gentlemen were on time, well prepared and very professional! I had quite a laundry list of things to be repaired at a townhome I will be listing shortly.     UPDATE: The Ace Handyman team and Jeff took our concerns very serious, they reached out, and resolved the situation. Given that and their friendliness, I would trust them in the homes of friends and family members. No one person or business is perfect, but by their actions, they strive to do right by their customers and take their sevice and reputation seriously. We will be using them again and hope you give them a chance as well!-------- -------- -------- --------INITIAL: The technician was very polite, a pleasure to work with. Would have him back!The guidance we recieved from our initial call with the owner did not include offering consultation service to see/ understand the issues beforehand. So, agreed to a time and price we thought would fix our large issues but spent much time finding out 2 of our biggest issues werent fixable in the originally quoted time. We paid over $400 for a fixed fence latch, a tweaked window, and time spent going to/ from hardware store. We didnt have our banister fixed nor was the lock issue b/c the technician forgot their allen wrench. In other words, ancillary small things were done but now we have to pay more for even longer hours of work to get our primary issues fixed. We wouldnt have paid $400 for these little things had we know before. One of the issues (the door lock) should be fixed on Ace since the screw wasnt purchased during the store trip. Nice, kind people, but not the best first experience for the price point.

    After resorting to my limited knowledge of releasing clogged shower drains in vain, I called Ace Handyman Services Loudoun & Prince William Counties. Great idea on my part as I was rewarded with a super team.     Our sink had become disconnected and was draining into our cabinet, unbeknownst to us. Matthew was able to come out next day and fix the sink and replace the rotted wood, because it was a two hour time line we also had him replace our toilet pump. He did a great job at both and I am so glad we called Ace.

    I hired Ace Handyman Services Loudoun and NW Prince William to take care of a laundry list of things, to include sealing a leaky window, drywall repair, and then replacement of a pedestal sink, mirror, and accessories in a half bath. From the time of booking through the completion, it was a great experience. Communication was punctual and thorough regarding the estimate and scheduling of the appointments.Dylan came out both days on time and was professional and amicable. We went over the list of tasks, and he quickly got to work. Everything was done well and I couldnt be happier! Im already putting another list of things together for Dylan to fix!In all honesty, I was a little nervous about hiring someone to come in and take care of things I have been putting off and/or dont have the skill set to complete, but I would hire Ace again in a heartbeat.     We had doors that needed repairs and replaced and called ACE Handyman for service. They gave me a window of 2-3pm. Ben showed up at 2:15, and went straight to work.     Jeff came out early and was kind enough to wait for me to arrive rather than driving off like other contractors have in the past. He was knowledgeable, friendly, fast, and performed excellent work. When he was done with the drywall repair and re-anchoring of curtain rods he helped me replace the batteries in some very high remote blinds, all while chatting about both our recent moves to Virginia. Jeff is “good people,” and that’s as high a praise as anyone gets in my book. Definitely recommend. Five stars!

    Sean M. fixed my downspout gutter connection today. Super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I wish there was a way to prepay for a block of 40 hours with Ace Handyman and then deduct for each service performed. Almost like a membership where the folks who prepay don’t pay the $75 service charge. The best way to work with Ace I am thinking is to get a person for a whole day and have a list of fixes needed. If you have a quick 1hour fix you will still pay the min 2.5 hour charge. Great experience with Sean and would recommend!

    Today, can-do Ben Stone restored a leaking 2005 exterior spigot, which two plumbing companies concluded could not be fixed. Ben went out of his way to source the parts and rehabbed the outside faucet. I was very happy that, unlike the plumbing companies, he saw it would be foolish to cut through the garage wall if new parts for inside the spigot would save it. Thanks, Ben!

    We have used Jeff twice for repairs / maintenance and he has proven to be quite knowledgeable and efficient. We have also valued his expertise and advice on projects. On top of that, the Ace Handyman support admin is very on top of it and scheduling is easy. Highly recommend for those that want to get jobs done quick and efficiently - it is amazing how much Jeff can accomplish in half a day.

    Craftsmen were professional and skilled. There were a few scheduling issues, but compared to other services not returning calls or showing up for scheduled appointments, it was a minor inconvenience. I do wish the fee structure was more transparent. The $60 “service fee” every time a craftsman comes is excessive. We paid $240 in fees before any work was done. That was not disclosed up front. It almost broke our budget and made us consider using another company. Otherwise communication was good and work was well done.

    I had a very good experience with Sean, who is one of the most professional people I’ve ever met. He cares about solving issues, and is very good at what he does. He recently diagnosed the root cause of an issue that the head of construction at my builder misdiagnosed. He arrived prepared and has vast experience with many different things: if I need anything else I will definitely ask for him, and bonus points for being a dog whisperer! Highly recommend!!!

Also needed professional input on a sump pump and drain lines that were installed. After emailing pictures, Ace estimated the time to repair the job. Jeff came out on time, was professional, and got the job done under the estimated time frame. The work was high quality. He was very knowledgeable and knew right away how to fix our problem.     In my 18 years in Ashburn, this is the first company that I am 100% satisfied with. Jeff was the best handyman that has ever been sent to my house. He was early, he completed all the tasks I had for him to do and was just an all around nice man. It was so nice to have a permanent time to arrive not a window. This will be the only service I ever use again. He changed my door sweeps on 2 doors, put a new front door lock on, moved an electrical outlet and shored up my deck.     After trying to have 2 TVs mounted with other services booked with ACE. Booking was easy. Contractor was scheduled to mount 2 television (hidden wiring) and 4 ceiling fans (wiring in place) / 8 hours. Contractor showed up a half hour after scheduled time, which was o.k.. He installed the televisions, called for another installer - to help him lift one television, although I was there to help him. He also needed the other installer to cut the holes. He said he didnt have order for hidden wiring. While cutting the holes they hit the main electrical line and knocked out my power. It took them some time to figure out how to get it back on. Consequently, later I had to reset my boiler from the power outage.When he installed the ceiling fans. He was scheduled 12-8. He left at 4:30 after arriving 12:30. He said he would be back the next day to finish the job (which he did). He left the ceiling fans all unbalanced and I had to convince him to straighten the TVs. He left and said he left the balancing kits and I could balance the fans myself. The reason I needed the fans professionally installed is because I cant sustain being on the ladder for too long. One of the fans is so wobbly, the balancing kit wont resolve the issue. Its clearly not installed correctly at the base.He seemed rushed and clearly had to get to something else the first day, which is why he left early. I understand they use different contractors, but now Im left with a mess of a job. Ill end paying someone to come in later to fix.** UPDATE** - The owner of Ace Handyman Services contacted me after reading this review. He offered to have someone come out and look at the and balance the fan. I appreciate that he responded my review and the willingness to resolve the issue without any prompting. It says a lot about their business if the owner is willing to follow up to ensure the job is done correctly.

    We used Ace for the installation of a new bathroom exhaust fan in the vaulted ceiling of our master bathroom. This work included some minor electrical, duct and drywall work as well.     Very happy to have chosen Ace Handyman Services. We had water infiltration onto the kitchens ceiling due to cracked grout and caulking around the bathtub and water fixtures in upstairs bathroom. Monae was very pleasant and professional to schedule the work I needed to remedy this situation. Was able to schedule a handyman to come the next day. Jeffery was wonderful to work with. He diagnosed the problem and didnt upsale me or spend more time than needed. He actually charged for only 2 hrs when he was scheduled for 4, because he didnt need to do any more at this stage. He will come back to inspect the ceiling, which he primed to repaint. He explained everything clearly. I will update this review once the work is completed but, at this stage, I would gladly recommend their services.

    Ive just moved into a new home and my front door knob was falling off and needed replacing. When I went to do it myself, I found that the wood was so stripped that the screws for the latch werent even screwed in, just sitting in their oversized holes, hanging out. She assured me that the technicians had over 40 years of experience and there was very little they couldnt do, and the photos looked like something easily workable for their skill levels, and boy was she right!Jeff came out to replace the knob with a keyless entry handle I got. He was able to fill the overdrilled wood as best he could, got the new door handle on, and did a spectacular job. He did set expectations, warning me I may have to replace the door if it continues to not hold (I was already prepared for this, so no unpleasant surprises there!). He finished up in such good time, that he was even able to do a couple other tasks I had lined up to complete, checking a couple outlets and fixing one of the bedroom doors.Not only did he do an awesome job helping me get these tasks done, but he is such a pleasant person to talk with!     I contacted Ace Handyman Services to replace some trim around my windows. The trim had rotted and needed to be replaced with something longer lasting than the wood that was there.The team showed up exactly on time but when we went to look at the damage closer, we concluded that the windows needed to be replaced. The Ace handyman folks contacted a local window replacement company to confirm that if Ace replaced the trim, the window company would simply have to rip it all out when they replaced the windows. Rather than simply doing the work, charging me, and letting me find out on my own that I didnt need the work done, Ace talked themselves out of a job (saving me money) when they realized I didnt need their services.I paid a minor feed for their time to come out (a fraction of what the work would have cost) and they now have a customer in the future. I cant speak to the quality of the work they do, but I can speak to the quality of the people they hire.
