    I recently had a great experience with Blake from Black Bear Carpentry. He assisted in building a beautiful mudroom wall/shelves/bench for my house. He was easy to work with and is very dependable and does great work. I would highly recommend his work!

    We got built-ins around the fireplace installed. From the get go, Andrei was very responsive, timely and clear in his communication. The work was started and completed per agreed upon schedule and that means a lot. His team were experts and did a great job. We love the final product. I would definitely recommend to use Black Bear for any of your project needs.

    We had a great experience with Black Bear Carpentry and would recommend them for anyone after renovation projects. Andrei is very detail oriented and has a good eye for design. We added wood beams to our ceiling and redid our existing built-ins to have a warmer look with wood shelving and counter tops as well as new cabinet doors. It totally transformed the room to a great feel and look. It all came out great, and his carpentry team that did the work both in the shop and at our house are clearly masters of their craft. Work was done on time and every effort was made to make us comfortable and be convenient for us given our work/life schedule. We have a couple other ideas from Andrei that we will pursue with Black Bear and look forward to having the guys back out to tackle whats next!

    Where do I even start?! I was referred to Andrei of Black Bear Carpentry, and feel so grateful to have been guided his way! I was hoping to enlist Andreis help with some form of a mudroom build out within a narrow space leading from my garage entry door and hallway. I wanted to relocate my familys normal drop-off zones of shoes, backpacks, etc. from the shoe tray at the front door and/ or coat closet.I knew the potential space was tight, but believed it was possible with the help of an expert. Andrei came right in and confirmed that it would be possible. Not only did he make it happen, he made it happen in a way that exceeded my expectations. As a detail-oriented individual by profession, it was extremely gratifying to have someone of a like-mind providing such an impactful service in my home. Unlike many home upgrades that can be switched in/ out over time, I understood this project would be an essential and permanent fixture. I wanted it to be built of solid materials...able to withstand growing children and high traffic. However, efficiency and aesthetics were equally important to me. The final outcome met each of my desires.Although the mudroom was my initial subject, Andrei and his team provided several other services in the weeks following; including: -laundry room (built custom cabinets and open shelving units, as well as a built-in rod for hang dry clothes)-coat closet (built custom shelves to utilize every inch of this corner closet to serve as a pantry/ stockroom; and a two-level hanging unit for coats, etc.)-kitchen island columns (removed the original columns and added a modern touch to them- replicated my inspiration photo perfectly!)If you are taking the time to read this review, I definitely recommend Andrei (Black Bear Carpentry). I do not typically provide reviews (out of privacy precautions); however, he and his team are more than deserving. In todays society, it is hard to find service agents, whom sincerely care about their clients vision and quality of work - Black Bear Carpentry is a rare find.

    Black Bear Carpentry is amazing! They transformed our dated 90s eyesore of a two-story fireplace wall into a beautiful focal point for our home. The team designed and built an entirely new fireplace mantel and two-story paneling above it and we love it! I highly recommend Black Bear Carpentry - theyre professional, easy to work with, and produce quality work!

    Andrei was professional to work with and his team was meticulous and friendly. We installed custom built-ins around our fireplace in the living room and added crown moulding throughout the main level. We would definitely use them again!

    Andrei and his team gifted us with a beautifully crafted coffered ceiling. It changed the entire dynamic and look of our living room. From start to finish, the project was professionally and proficiently managed. Communication was clear, and I can’t say enough about how accommodating Andrei was. He honestly went out of his way to ensure we were 100% satisfied. A job well done. We look forward to working with him again.

    Owner Of Black Bear Carpentry, Andrei Tcacenco had great knowledge and foresight in designing our library/home office conversion project. He provided 3 dimensional design drawings of the final room layout-which made it easy to envision in our space. His assistants were professional, and their workmanship outstanding. Everyone was great to work with, and Andrei took time to answer all of my questions. I am so happy with my new room that I will be using Andrei and his team again for a another cabinet design project in the near future.
