    WOW! Extremely happy with our spray foam attic! I was very hesitant in having this done after reading so many bad stories on the internet where people have had issue with odor and health problems after spraying their homes. I expressed all of my concerns and questions to Ira and he answered all of them and encouraged me to do my own research as well. (These problems tend to be from bad installation by untrained and uncertified individuals) He is very knowledgeable and informative as is his entire crew. Everyone that came to the house was professional, courteous, well prepared, knowledgeable, and just made me feel at ease. They were all able to answer any of my questions and I had a bunch. The process was expedited quickly. They were very prompt to come out and inspect, provide the quote, and then get started right away with the installation. I glad I made the call to Sunlight Contractors and will definitely use them in the future for my contracting needs.

    Incredibly professional company. I had insulation that had degraded after a 100 years and was a mess. The folks at Sunlight got me fixed up in no time and made sure I was always happy. The entire staff that worked on my project were incredibly hard working and very friendly. They were also very fairly priced. It is with pleasure that I would highly recommend Sunlight. These guys know what they are doing!

    Our 80 year old home was in significant need of insulation to keep a reasonable temperature in the winter and summer months. I called Sunlight Contractors, and they were able to meet with us very quickly to take a look at the house and offer advise. Corey met with us at our convenience, took his time explaining the process and benefits of spray foam insulation and the results we could expect. Later that day, I received a quote (which was very reasonable!) and LOTS of information about spray foam insulation and its benefits. After we accepted the proposal and signed a contract, Ira gave us several dates for us to choose from. On the agreed upon date, Ira and his team showed up on time and got to work. After they were finished, a quick three hours later, they showed me their work and made sure our house was just as tidy as they came in. I was very impressed with the professionalism from Sunlight Contractors, and would trust them to do any job I may have in the future and will recommend to friends!

    There was a major mold problem in the crawlspace. The mold seeped into my subfloor and finished floors causing major damage. Not to mention health issues. Ira and crew thoroughly cleaned, remediated and closed all openings with speed and professionalism!

    Sunlight Contractors does amazing work. I witnessed the results of Sunlight Contractors fixing the shoddy work of an irresponsible, negligent contractor that caused thousands of dollars in damage. I have come to learn that it is very important to remove moisture from the subfloor of a home before insulating it with spray foam. Several years back, the floors of this home were insulated with a high moisture content, eventually causing mold, rot, and the floor to buckle. After being contacted, Ira from Sunlight Contractors was very knowledgeable and immediately knew what to do to solve the problem for good. The job took three weeks, but Clayton, Ira, and the crew were on time for the duration and explained the process every step of the way. They treated the job like it was their priority and did not leave or prolong the process by taking on other jobs. The crew was required to remove spray foam installed by the previous company, remove and replace rotted flooring, and remove all mold and moisture from the flooring before applying closed cell spray foam. Unlike the previous company, Sunlight Contractors not only removed moisture from the wood, but also guaranteed in writing that there would be no future moisture issues. Do not trust just any company. Make sure you go with experts, who know what they are doing and stand behind their work, in writing.

    I read reviews and did a LOT of research before choosing a company to replace our roof. Sunlight Contracting was head and shoulders above all of the other companies I considered. They have stellar reviews across all platforms and an A+ rating with the BBB. I’ve honestly never come across another company with such positive reviews but after working with them, I completely understand why. The communication is excellent every step of the way. The work done is outstanding and the new roof looks wonderful. We couldn’t be happier. The guys did our whole roof in one day and honestly left things looking better than they did when they got here. In fact, we’re so happy with it they’re coming back tomorrow to paint soffits and fascia and replace all of our gutters. The owner, Ira is a gem. A true professional and a delight to work with. He was onsite or nearby the entire day ensuring everything was going smoothly. I truly can’t recommend this company highly enough. Next year….spray foam!!! Thank you so much, Ira and crew.     Updated review: We had Sunlight insulate the underside of our house but, because of a leaking pipe, they couldnt apply the insulation around the leak. We had the leak repaired and Sunlight came back to measure the moisture, place an industrial fan to dry out the area and return again to complete the application of the insulation. Three extra trips to make sure the job was done correctly, and no extra charge. Great customer service!Sunlight Contractors recently completed the application of closed-cell foam insulation to the underside of my house in New Orleans. From the initial visit for measurements and an estimate, everyone from the company was extremely competent, professional and friendly. Their price for the job was the best of the three estimates I received and their knowledge regarding the process of application and the peculiarities of my particular job were far superior to any other contractor I met with.The process of the installation was smooth and completed in less time than estimated. The crew as efficient, polite and professional. On completion of the job, the property was left in a cleaner condition than when they arrived. When we woke up the next chilly morning, the house and wood floors were noticeably warmer than before the installation. In all, it was as pleasant and painless a process as I could have hoped for. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunlight to my friends and neighbors.

    My experience with Sunlight Contractors was beyond superb and excellent! I did not want to have anyone else deal with the mold and foam insulation. Mr. Ira is very knowledgeable and was so helpful with explaining the cost/quote. He also had great insight and advice on choosing floors in which we needed to replace. Initially I had another company to inspect and quote me for the mold treatment. That company told us that they would have to rip up our floors all the way down into our crawlspace beneath the house. I wanted a second opinion because it seemed to be extensive and expensive. Sunlight Contractors came the next day and did a full inspection: the guest room that was damaged, the crawlspace under the house. They were able to save my floors and kill all of the mold. Their staff Allen is so joyful, helpful, professional and always willing to answer my questions no matter how silly I thought it was. They made this process so much easier for my husband and I. I will always call them for any contracting or mold/spray foam installation or treatment!

    Sunlight Contractors removed 60 + years of old insulation from my attic and sprayed in new cellulose. Ira (company manager) was very helpful in determining what was needed to obtain the results I wished for. All of the insulation crew (especially Clayton & Allen) were very professional and courteous and left the job site clean when the project was completed. Even the office personnel that I encountered over the phone were very pleasant. Although we havent experienced full blown summer temps. yet, I have noticed that the AC is not coming on as frequently as in the past. I guess time will tell, but I feel confident that I made the right decision to have Sunlight Contractors take care of my insulation needs. I highly recommend Sunlight Contractors!

    Several months ago we contacted Sunlight to get an estimate to apply open cell spray foam in our attic space. They quickly responded to the inquiry and setup an appointment to come out to provide the estimate. The estimate was fair, and the work was performed within a couple of weeks. Everyone we dealt with was professional and considerate. Since the foam has been in place, weve noticed a significant savings on our energy bill, and the house stays much cooler during the day. Overall we are very satisfied with the results. After the job was complete, there were just a couple of small items we were concerned about, and Sunlight was still very responsive to our calls. Its been our experience that some companies are a little less interested in any issues you may have after they have collected their fee. This was not the case with Sunlight. They came back to follow up several times just to make sure that our concerns were addressed. Based on our experience, it seems obvious that they try to ensure that their work is performed to the customers satisfaction. We would definitely recommend them to others and consider them for future projects!

    A few weeks ago, my wife and I realized that we were having some buckling issues with the hardwood floors in our house. I knew that the house had crawlspace moisture issues in the past, and decided to have someone come out and have a look. Sunlight Contractors was my first call based on the strength of their online ratings and user reviews. I called them late one afternoon and one of their guys, Clayton, was out the next morning. Clayton went under the house and took moisture readings and found high levels of moisture in my crawlspace. He called the owner, Ira, on the phone and they both described to me what would be required to truly solve the problem: drying out the moist wood with a large indirect heater and spraying closed cell foam insulation once the drying was complete. They had a detailed quote out to me that same afternoon. Of course, I got a second opinion, and it became immediately apparent that no other company I spoke with had such a strong grasp on the fundamental problem, nor did they have such a thorough plan for a solution. It was clear that Sunlight was the right choice.Once they started the job, Ira and crew were in frequent contact with me, letting me know when theyd be coming by, sending me pictures of the moisture readings underneath the crawlspace, and just generally keeping me up to date with how things were progressing. All in all, the job took about a week and Im very happy with the job that Sunlight performed. Its a huge relief to know that the underside of our house is properly insulated and protected from moisture. Id recommend Sunlight without reservation to anyone that needs this kind of work done.

    I purchased a home in February of 2018 and had a leaking cast iron pipe run water under my house for a few months before I started having issues in my kitchen. I completely rebuilt my kitchen but unfortunately no one at the time mentioned that I needed to do anything under the house. Fast forward a year and the floors in my living room started to buckle.A friend researched the best options and we ended up calling Ira with Sunlight Contractors.This company is beyond professional. They were always on time and always provided updates on where they were in the repair process. Ira recommended that we dry the underside of the house and then apply a closed-cell foam to avoid any future issues.We are beyond pleased with the job that Sunlight Contractors did with our job. I can already tell a difference of the noise level in the house and we havent even replaced the floors yet.I highly recommend using Ira and Sunlight Contractors for your moisture issues under a pier house.

    Sunlight Contractors is, quite simply, the best home construction/home improvement I have ever dealt with. They were responsive, attentive, and highly skilled. When you would call them, they either always answer the phone or immediately returned your call. They did some home repairs regarding roof areas with rotting and shingles needing replacement. It was flawlessly executed. Thereafter Sunlight Contractors recommended a number of improvements to enhance the air quality in our home. As part of this, they installed foam installation in the attic and it was a game changer. Additionally, they were extremely knowledgeable about air quality, filtration systems, and everything to do with creating as clean an atmosphere inside the home. Their pricing was fair and competitive and Id suggest them to anyone without qualification. 5 stars.

    Been a great experience thus far with Sunlight. My consultation and outlined plan by both the onsite crew and Ira were very helpful in deciding to go with Sunlight contractors. They were able to start the work quickly and in two days finished up the job. It was some tough work by the crew with three different attic spaces and some tight spaces, but everything looks in great shape and Im looking forward to enjoying a cooled off upstairs.

    We researched and researched the idea of doing foam insulation in our home and ultimately decided to go with Sunlight Contractors. Our installation is wrapping up now and we are thrilled with the performance of Sunlight to date and feel great about our decision. Ira carefully guided us through the decision making process and put no pressure on us to move forward. I had a ton of questions and he answered each one honestly and with detail. Once we decided to move forward, we could not have been more impressed with the professionalism of the crews and how conscientious they are in performing the work. Its a big deal to come into someones home and work in the attic for multiple days. We have not found one bit of debris in our home and the crews have communicated with us each and every day about every detail of their duties. Sunlight has taken every measure to ensure our home life is not interrupted....my kids and wife speak highly of the Sunlight team, Sunlight has utilized ventilation fans constantly to make sure we dont smell anything from the installation process, and at the end of the day, our house is exactly as we want it. In this day and age, to find true tradesmen who care about their work and you as the customer is extremely refreshing.     Sunlight Contractors specializes in many facets of construction but when I was looking for a fireproofing contractor I could not have gone with a better company. I have 2 buildings in the New Orleans area, and I decided to sell one of them. I soon discovered that I could not sell just one of my properties because the buildings were to close together. I needed to fireproof in between the buildings with a 2-hour fire rating. The city needed to deem my buildings acceptable properties to be divided once it was cleared by the local New Orleans fire marshal.Sunlight Contractors did an impeccable job on fireproofing with CAFCO Blaze shield 2. The now separated buildings look great and was done with a ton of professionalism. This company had great communication skills all the way from the owner of the company down to the crew members. Sunlight Contractors successfully and diligently completed the project in a timely manner. Ira answered all of my questions and when it came time for the fire marshal to come, we passed with flying colors. The fire marshal only had to come by one time to approve the work that was done and gave me his seal of approval so I can sell one of my buildings. I was highly impressed with Sunlight Contractors and the workmanship they provided me with the 2 week long job.

    We had a dishwasher leak that uncovered moisture issues in the subfloor of our raised home. After looking at various companies we contacted Sunlight Contractors. We found them through the BBB and read most of their positive reviews. We researched on their website and found several customers that were having issues similar to ours. We felt like this was the company that would best help with the situation we were in. We first spoke to Ira who gave us some steps to take to see if the issue was coming from under our house. After taking multiple moisture readings (with the guidance of Ira) we discovered that we in fact had the incorrect type of insulation under our house and that we did in fact have high levels of moisture in our subfloors. After relaying these moisture readings to Ira we discussed the process and pricing estimates. Two days later a crew was at our house to begin inspecting the job. The crew uncovered other serious issues with our home that we would have never known about had we not contacted Sunlight. They made sure they took pictures of these issues and even had my husband go under the house with them so that he could see these issues firsthand. This hardworking crew has been under our house in the extreme LA heat for several days now working on these issues. They clean up after themselves each day and are very courteous. They have answered all of our many questions regarding these issues at our home. Ira has been great about relaying information to us daily on what has been done and what will come next. Even though the job is far from completed, we are beyond pleased with this company on what they have done so far.

    We had closed cell foam applied to our crawl space 2 days ago. We can already tell the difference in our floors. We were told our wooden floors may need to be replaced due to excessive moisture.     I had noticed an issue with the cooling of my home. I talked with several friends who had spray foam work done in other cities, so I went online and started searching for a spray foam insulation provider in the New Orleans area. I quickly noticed that Sunlight was one of the highest rated providers by their reviews, so I called and spoke to Ira. He was very informative about what needed to be done and how I would benefit from the work. The showed up did all the work as expected. Immediately after the work was done I noticed the change in the cooling of my home. The house now maintains a constant temperature even in the hottest parts of the day and my units are not continually running any longer to try and keep up with the temperature setting.     For years, our termite contractor warned us about all of the old insulation in our crawl space that had been drooping and touching the ground. In crawling under the house myself to inspect and make a plumbing repair, I noticed that the wood on the subfloor and joists just looked wet. I could never find anyone willing to climb under the house to clean it up, so it sat like that for years. This year, I had to decide on a new termite contractor, but they refused to work with us until it was cleaned up. I hear so much about spray foam, so I decided to look it up. Sunlight Contractors had great reviews, so I decided to give them a call. Ira answered the call on a Saturday, and was eager for me to take moisture readings, so he could get an idea of the scope of the work. Unfortunately, the wood showed 23% moisture in some areas, with some visible mold growth, so it needed to be dried and cleaned before being sprayed. Ira sent Clayton out at my earliest convenience, and quoted me the same day. After a few discussions about treating the wood, I approved the work, and again, Clayton was out to get started the very next day. The crew came out, cleared all of the debris, laid a new moisture barrier and started the drying and remediation process. Ira communicated with me every day, even sending videos, photos, and moisture readings, which are now under 10%. They were never late, and never cancelled. The crawl space looks almost new now, and I cant wait for it to finish drying and have the foam installed. Thank you Sunlight, your 5 star rating is well deserved!

    Having bought a house in Uptown New Orleans, we needed to make quite a few changes to make it ours. After doing our research, we choseSunlight, and are so glad that we did!! Also, Ira and the team were happy to work around our schedules.The remodel included the removal of very old/dirty attic insulation, spray foam insulation in the attic and under the house, new attic flooring,adding a whole house de humidifier, adding a tankless water heater, demo and complete re build of two bathrooms, wood floors sanded/re finished and the house re painted.     I first found out about Sunlight Contractors at a Home Show where I was doing research on spray foam. After looking at several contractors my wife and I decided to go with Sunlight Contractors. They were on time with they came to do the estimates and when the crew came to do the job. The workers were very friendly and courteous. We were 100% pleased with the results of having the attic spray foamed. Our AC is running way less than it did before the Spray Foam application. When I go into the Attic now it is almost the same temp as the rest of the house compared to the steaming Attic it was. Anyone thinking about having this done should talk to Sunlight Contractors, Not only do they do a great job they also have a wealth of knowledge, and experience in Spray Foam application. My son checked out my attic and after checking my home he is looking at getting his done as well. The energy saving over time is very cost effective. Im glad we were able to meet Sunlight Contractors at the Home Shop 2014.

Shortly after the call I had received information on the product and process and had an appointment set up with Mr. Corey. Corey showed up to my property on time and provided a thorough inspection of my attic and home. Based on his visit, consultation, and after further communication with Mr. Ira, I was sold on the product and the process! We cant wait to have our home insulated.     We contacted Sunlight to install spray foam on the roofline of our home. The first conversation that I had with Ira about the work he was very informative and took the time to discuss all aspects of the job and what it would entail to complete everything and ensured the job would be done up to code. Ira was able to get an associate, Clayton out to the house in just a few hours to do a job walk and discuss the job. Clayton was also very proffesional and explained each step of the job. Clayton also took the time to answer any questions that I had and discussed what options would work best for our home. Even after receiving my original quote when I called Ira about some questions that I had he took the time to talk through them and offered to have Clayton come back to the house just to make sure all aspects were covered which was a great feeling when you are making this type of investment. I also received quotes from other companies and I felt that Sunlight had very competitive pricing. The main reason I chose Sunlight was due to the great customer service, and also the extra time and attention doing things the right way and making sure the job was done to code. They offer several added services that were no cost to us to ensure us that everything was done correctly and doing that shows to me that they stand by there product and work.

First of all, Ira, always answers the phone and he always knows who you are. Any questions or issues are taken care in a very timely manner and, he always call you back.     I am the GM of a truck stop in Louisiana with a 7000 sf flat roof that was leaking in several places. Over the years the numerous contractors had abused it badly. After meeting with a few contractors I chose Sunlight Contractors for several reasons. First they meet with me within the week I called them. They were very professional, took core samples and spent a lot of time explaining my choices. They presented me with a timely written quote and was never demanding for my decision. Not only did they detect the moisture in the floors immediately, but using their drying system, they were able to reduce my moisture content from 50% down to less than 7%. They were also on time every morning and provided constant feedback. Ira answered all questions I had and kept me up to date on the schedule.     My issues started when we noticed our original floor boards in our 100 year old house started cupping on the edges. With the amount of humidity and rain that we get I had moisture problems under my house. My initial online research led me to another company that told me about their fancy elaborate system that would take care of all of my problems. Evidently they were in over their head because they stopped returning my calls and emails about the quote that was promised to me the next day. One week later I called Sunlight Contractors. I received a call from Ira that same day. He knew what my problem was and how to fix it before laying eyes on it. Someone came by the house the next morning and I had the quote that same day. Three days later they showed up to my house and went to work. They sealed off the underside of the house and used an indirect heater and duct work to dry out the wood. Four days later the closed cell spray foam was installed. That was yesterday, so far so good. My floors have mostly returned to original state and the entire down stairs feels more stable. Time will tell on the energy savings but I am sure it will be significant. The entire crew was professional and seems to have eliminated our problems and helped us preserve our home.     My husband and I recently purchased a raised home. During the winter we experienced cold floors and high energy bills due to the subfloor not being insulated. We did research and learned spray foam would be the most effective insulation solution. Because it was a big project, we requested quotes from several companies. Sunlight Contractors was way better than any other company we talked to for several reasons. Ira, on the first phone call was very helpful and knowledgeable. Clayton came out and inspected our subfloor the very next day. He discovered very high and problematic moisture levels in our subfloor. I knew this was a serious issue because the previous owners disclosed they had mold removed prior to selling the home. Clayton and Ira explained the process Sunlight Contractors would use to eliminate the moisture, insulate the home, and guarantee we would never have a moisture problem again.     I contacted Sunlight Contractors after I moved to SE Louisiana in May of 2019. The house we bought had an uninsulated crawl space, no vapor barrier and limited ventilation. We replaced 40 floor joists as well as large portions of the subfloor. I wanted those repairs to last which led me to spray foam and Sunlight Contractors.I contacted several other companies who do this work but chose Sunlight for several reasons. First, they are incredibly responsive. They actually answer the phone when you call and they call back when needed. It has been frustrating dealing with other contractors who don’t answer when called and don’t return messages. Secondly, they actually have a schedule and will work with you to meet at an agreeable time. I had scheduled an evaluation with them and the evening before we were supposed to meet they called and asked if we could push the appointment back a couple of hours. It worked for me and I appreciated the call in advance. Lastly, service is clearly a priority with them. Every person I have dealt with during the process has been polite and respectful. They go out of their way to educate customers about the process and the product received. The project is not quite finished but to this point I am quite impressed and happy. Once it is finished and I have had a chance to evaluate everything I’ll write a detailed review of the outcome.

I purchased an older home which had many DIY styled repairs that ultimately caused more trouble, so I knew I would need a certain kind of expertise to properly correct these issues.     We decided to go with Sunlight Contractors because of their credentials and how thorough their contract is. They invited us to tour a home they sprayed so we could examine the quality of their workmanship. We were impressed that there was no nasty odor from off-gassing! Cant say the same for other companies we considered. Also, they use a quality foam that has a higher R value than other companies and they are not skimpy about applying it.     I contacted Sunlight Contractors for a quote to remove fiberglass batt insulation and apply closed cell foam to the subfloor of my home. My initial contact began with Mr. Ira.     My husband and I wanted spray foam in our home to reduce our electric bill and to overall make the house more comfortable, plus added bonus of being able to store stuff in a attic that is not 130 degrees. We got Sunlight Contractors to come to our home to give us a quote. Clayton initially came out and did a thorough inspection. He was extremely nice and professional. He explained everything that would need to happen. Then Ira sent me a quote. From that quote I had several additional questions via email that were answered right away by Ira. I also added some additional things I need such as laying boards in the attic, sealing vents for termites, spray for bugs in attic, and removing items in the attic before they started.     The whole experience of working with this company was a pleasure from the start. The technician who gave me an initial consultation was extremely knowledgeable and helped me wade through the pros and cons of different insulating materials. I ended up going with spray foam because of the price and overall effectiveness. When I was ready to schedule the insulation, Ira, the owner called me back the same day to schedule me so everything could progress smoothly in the process of renovating my home. His team took the time it was necessary to make sure the job was done right and cleaned up after themselves.     I am in the process of a major remodel in Jefferson LA, and I had researched for years on best practices for insulating in Hot Humid Louisiana.     I chose Sunlight Contractors because they had the highest number of A rated reviews on Angies List for the job our home was in need of. After careful research, I called Sunlight Contractors and spoke with Ira Bosh after which I had the highest confidence Sunlight Contractors was the right fit for the job.Sunlight Contractors is a great company which took their time to completely remediate my home that was riddled with mold. Sunlight Contractors has a licensed mold remediation contractor from the IICRC, Mr. Glen Ray, who came to my home and conducted a complete evaluation. Glen performed the mold reports which were sent to a certified laboratory. Sunlight Contractors is also a licensed mold remediation contractor with the Louisiana state licensing board of contractors.When the mold reports revealed high levels of mold, Glen recommended that my family and I leave our home ASAP to be safe. I then hired Sunlight Contractors and they sprayed all the mold spores around my home with an EPA certified Mold Stat that killed the mold spores. After spraying countless times, they vacuumed and scrubbed every inch of my walls, ceilings, and floors with an EPA certified mold disinfectant. They also removed all of our familys clothing from the house along with fibrous materials and placed them in a 16 foot pod. They then scrubbed the entire home again before going through with a HEPA vacuum air scrubber to remove all the dead mold spores.The drying process took about 2 weeks, but Sunlight Contractors wanted the job done right so they didn’t rush through my home to move onto the next project. They took their time, were patient, and gave my home the attention it really needed. They brought huge commercial dehumidifiers and high-speed commercial HEPA air purification fans into our home to bring down all the moisture and humidity levels.After the moisture and humidity levels were brought down to acceptable levels, Sunlight Contractors inspected my home and took more moisture readings to make sure their full-proof process was working.Sunlight Contractors also had to replace our kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops.Without Sunlight Contractors, my family would not have known we were living in a hazardous environment that could have jeopardized our health.Since we were disinfecting the entire house, we also decided to spray foam the attic to insure our home would be completely sealed and have assurance that the humidity would remain outside and not inside the house.We revamped the HVAC system and completely changed our energy envelope by installing a 295-pint a day dehumidification system which, in tandem with the spray foam enclosure, will bring down our humidity level to 50% or below.My family and I are very happy with all the work Sunlight Contractors has performed and I would recommend them to all my family and friends.Sunlight Contractors came in at the end of the project and took five more mold samples which were sent to a certified mold laboratory.     We chose sunlight because they presented the most professional and experienced portfolio that we could find. They came out and did a site survey and took all the time needed to explain the process and answer any questions we had. The owner kept in constant contact and quickly replied to any questions asked. They arrived with a crew of five and did a great job to cover any items with plastic that needed to be protected. They also taped off all outlets so that they would remain clean and accessible. I met a lady in Lowes one day that used another company and she said that a lot of fixtures and switches were covered up and hard to find. Not with Sunlight!     I contracted Sunlight to insulate a finished garage (it was already sheetrocked). The estimator showed up on time and answered all my questions. I decided on blow in cellulose insulation for the walls and attic. The install crew also showed up right on time. Each member introduced themselves to me by name and then started working. The job was finished in about 1/2 day. The crew did a good job on clean up but there was some fine dust. Also for blow in insulation, the customer has to patch the holes ( used to blow in the insulation) between the studs. Everyone I dealt with was very professional. I think they have the expertise to handle any type on insulation job. I recommend Sunlight without hesitation.

    Our house was built in 1919, and, while having undergone several renovations in 101 years, the wood floors have remained unchanged. As the temperature warmed, I noticed more movement and cracking in several of the antique floorboards. When I looked under the house, it was painfully apparent that the existing insulation was deteriorating, covered with mold, and practically wet to the touch. The attic insulation was also sub-par. The fans that were supposed to keep air circulating beneath the roof have long been out of commission.I knew I needed to invest in replacing the crawl space and attic insulation, and I had heard that spray-foam was currently the best product in the industry. Unfortunately, getting someone to spray-foam over the existing conditions was not a viable solution. I needed a contractor that would take the necessary steps to do the job right and ensure that whatever installed would be a long-lasting improvement for the house. Enter Ira Bosh and Sunlight Contractors. These guys know the science, the building code, and, most importantly, how to execute the job as efficiently and non-invasively as possible. They removed all of the old attic insulation and spray foamed the thing in three days without leaving a single spec of dust in the house. In those same three days, they removed all of the crawl space insulation, treated the mold, and began the floor-drying process. The moisture of the floorboards and joists was initially around 35%. After two days of moving the heater-ducts around, its now at 14%. Once the floors fall below 10% moisture, Ira will release the spray foam crew. All-in-all, the project duration is tracking around six days total! Im thrilled with the quality of workmanship thus far and will follow up with my review regarding the overall improvement made to the house.

    I bought an older house and had high-end solid wood flooring installed in five rooms. Within a few months the new flooring in the three downstairs rooms was badly cupped. We found that it was due to open cell spray foam under the subfloor allowing moisture through. I have had some bad experiences with contractors and tradesmen, so I spent a lot of time doing my own research on subfloor insulation and spray foam in particular. I learned a lot. To remove the open cell and install closed cell, I had proposals from multiple companies specializing in spray foam. Sunlight was the only one that gave detailed and accurate information on everything to be done. Ira talked to me at length about the problems and what they would do. Based on my research, I knew their proposal was the only one that included everything needed to do the job properly. Ira was eager to explain to me every aspect of the project and answered my questions in detail. The written proposal included line item details and a separate list of additional work that may be needed with the cost for each item. After removing the old open cell they found that the moisture content of the wood was too high and the entire underside of the house would have to be dried with a special dehumidifier. That was one of the additional expense item listed on the proposal and I fully expected that one to be the case. Our raised home is not properly ventilated. From my own research, I knew the maximum moisture level of wood for closed cell spray foam and had already measured it in a few spots I could get to. (You can buy your own meter at Lowes or Home Depot.) Pleasantly, Ira reported that none of the other possible conditions existed. While the job was in progress, the crew arrived right on time every morning. Ira was there to oversee and inspect as the work progressed. He offered to show me the results as different phases were in progress or completed. The job was completed a few weeks ago and I am more than satisfied with the result. Of the multiple proposals, Sunlight was the highest quote, however, through past experiences and research, I know theirs was the only one that was accurate, complete and the only one that I could accept. Now that the project is complete I know I made the only choice I would have been satisfied with in the end.     I was terrified when termites were discovered in my home. Ira understood my dilemma. No other contractor could have offered what he did.     I had Sunlight spray foam the 4 attic spaces of our 90-year-old home in Metairie on the first day of summer, just a few weeks after purchasing it. The crew was on time, courteous, professional and very efficient - they did both a great job and cleaned up after themselves like true craftsman. The difference in our home was immediate - after spraying 5.5 to 6 inches on all the roof surfaces, the air leakage from the attics was cut in about half. The house now holds temperature when we are away much better, never getting above 81 degrees even on the hottest days. Previous owners of our house tried to solve their comfort problems with more air conditioning, installing both a 2.5-ton and a 5-ton A/C system in the house. The 2.5-ton used to run about 12 hours a day to cool the uninsulated Western end of the house, while the 5-ton ran 12 hours a day cooling the upstairs bedrooms and living room. Since installing the foam, the 2.5-ton unit runs no more than an hour a day in the evening, and the 5-ton unit is down to 5-8 hours depending on the weather. Time will show how many Megawatts we save compared to the previous owner, but the early data suggests quite a few.I couldnt be happier with Sunlight Contractors product, professionalism, price and certainly the RESULTS! I cant recommend them enough, and they will be my first call when we decide to tackle our lack of wall insulation!

Bathroom tiles will be demoed, bedroom floors ripped up and Sunlight Contractors is going to install brand new hardwood floors. The open cell spray foam along with the whole house dehumidification system will decrease the humidity in our home and not only make our house comfortable but make our home energy efficient and reduce our energy bills.     Building a new home and chose Sunlight for blown in fiberglass in the walls and foam in the rafters. They finished the walls and will be doing the rafters in a couple of weeks, extremely pleased so far and looking forward to the foam phase.     The past few months have probably been the most difficult and stressful time of my life. My youngest son was born with a rare congenital disorder called agenesis of the corpus callosum. The affects of this disorder can range from virtually asymptomatic to severe neurological disabilities. The last thing I needed was to discover an extensive moisture and mold problem growing under the subfloor of my home. My husband searched for a company with stellar reviews and decided upon Sunlight Contractors. After dealing with this company I can understand why they have so many rave reviews. Clayton and his crew were out the next day pulling down insulation, remediating the mold and drying out the subfloor. Unfortunately, because the mold and moisture problem had been neglected for so long by the previous owner, all our flooring would need to be replaced. The flooring expert came out that night measuring how much we’d need and began demo within 3 days of his initial visit. Sunlight Contractors have been professional, fast and fairly priced. They have made what is a very stressful time in my life so much easier and I am very grateful. They’ve allowed me to focus on my family and not have to worry about my house. I know my house is in good hands.

    We needed to get our roof replaced prior to installing some solar panels and after meeting with the roofer, while standing in the attic sweating to death, he commented about being in an attic on a previous job and the attic was foam insulated. He stated how amazing the results were given our current situation. With that, I began to investigate foaming the attic. After reviewing many independent reviews, I actually used Angies List and found great reviews about Sunlight Contractors. I initiated the process with Sunlight to complete the job and from start to finish, the experience was very good. From the initial pre work / inspections, to the scheduling of the job, timeliness and care by the workers to the results of the finished project. While the actual process of the foaming was potentially messy, the grounds the house and everything was basically as if no one was there and the attic foamed itself. the results were as promised. The attic in the summer time now maybe 10-15 degrees warmer than the house whereas it was normally 50 to 60 degress warmer than the home interior before hand. The drafts are all but eliminated and the chimney scenario that is described is no longer a factor. Our energy bill has dropped dramatically and if I had to do it again in another home, I would do it. And if I ever built a new home, I would have it in the walls as well. I am sure the savings can vary by job and the main purpose for doing the foaming was for comfort, but the energy savings are there and the project was very cost effective.

    We had just bought our house in December when we realized how bad the cupping of the wood floors was. In our inspection report, it was mentioned as pertaining to the moisture under the subfloor, but not as a separate issue. When I tried to google moisture, subfloor, foundation, lot grading, I mostly just came up with landscaping companies. I had someone come look at our drainage issue and give us a quote. But as I thought about it, I knew that rerouting the gutter drainage wouldnt solve the current issue with the moisture in the subfloors. Finally, one day I googled subfloor moisture damage. I found reviews for Sunlight Contractors that explained customers experiences with the exact same problem that we had. I filled out an email form and got a call back right away.Ira set up an appointment and came by a few days later. They took moisture readings all around the house and showed me the readings. They explained that ideally you want the readings to be around 10% or lower. Reading from the front were fine, but the trouble area with the floor cupping had a higher moisture content. They wrote down the process and explained it step by step. They gave me a verbal estimate, but told me they would email a detailed estimate later that day.It was more expensive than what I was hoping for, but the steps were explained. When it comes to spray foam, the process may run a few thousand dollars, but there is the drying of the subfloor beforehand, so that the spray foam is not trapping moisture in.Every day during the process the guys working were courteous and kept us informed, as well as Ira texting or calling.As they ran the dryers under the house, the wood flooring started to relax. The cupping didnt disappear, but it is much flatter than before.As a result, our bedroom is quite warm when we run the heat, and the floor is nice and warm. While not a fun expense, this was a necessary expense. We are glad Ira and the team made it as easy as possible.

    Two days prior to scheduling your service I decided to prove to my husband that what was coming through our ceiling vents was unhealthy. He was not able to understand about an odor that was irritating to me and he could not smell it. Having had numeroussinus surgeries and infection, my sinus was wide open to pollutants. Now, my proof was to stand in front of a ceiling vent as itactively blew the irritating odor and the air, heavy with particles of fiber unseen by the naked eye. I didn’t realize how serious myproof would be. Immediately, I started feeling the fiber in my throat and eyes. It was there alright. We scheduled to remove the50 year old fiberglass and cellulose insulation on Friday, October 12th with . The SunLight team arrived with equipment to vacuum and haul away what had caused destruction to my life for years. My proof had further caused fluid in my ears probably because I was coughing so hard. While some very capable, caring people from SunLight continued to work to improve conditions in the attic and in my home, I was sent to the doctor and then my son’s home. On Saturday, October 13th, my birthday, I was receiving the most unusual gift I’ve ever received, polyurethane foam insulation.I hope you will consider the air that you breathe and that your children breathe. I don’t guarantee considering allergy as a cause forfrequent irritation and infection but it took me a long time to realize where it was coming from. I don’t recommend proving it.Now, that I am back in my home, I can tell there is a define change. The air seems lighter, fresher and BREATHABLE. YES!     I had Sunlight Contractors give me a quote for spray foam insulation beneath my subfloor. At the time Clayton, who has been very professional throughout the entire process, took moisture readings in the low 20s. Clayton and the owner Mr Ira informed me that I was going to have to dry the moisture down to about 8%. Mr Ira was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Last week I decided to get the work done and the moisture reading was now in the 40s and 50s. Mr Ira got his crew working to take care of it and I am extremely happy with the entire process so far.     I’ve had a mold problem for over 5 years in my home in Slidell, LA and I called countless contractors, none of them could provide a solution. I have a big home over 5,000 sq. feet with ceilings 32 feet high and the top of the cathedral ceiling was showing a lot of mold growth. I wanted to keep on trying and I saw Sunlight Contractors had great reviews, so I decided to call them.Clayton first came out and did a thorough inspection and he talked with the owner Ira of Sunlight Contractors about my home. They discovered that the previous spray foam contractor only sprayed 1”-3” and there were countless breaks. They left the old Batt and cellulose on the ceiling/floors and the air flow/ventilation was horrible causing high humidity in the 70”s in three of my attics. No contractor over the years has ever pointed this out. Also, the cathedral ceiling 32 feet high in my home was allowing all the hot air from the sun to penetrate and mix with my inside a/c, cold air creating a lot of mold in my home. Sunlight also sprayed my metal roof with silicone and now it’s cool to the touch. They added two whole house 130 pint a day dehumidification system with Reme-Halo’s attached to them.All I can say is thank goodness I found Sunlight Contractors. Their teams worked tirelessly for 6 days straight, they cleaned up each day and were a pleasure to work with. I only wish I called Sunlight 5 years ago. Thanks Sunlight.

    These guys were Fantastic. Recently hired Sunlight Contractors to apply closed cell foam under our house. Ira and Clayton came out three times prior to the job to inspect, take moisture readings and treat for traces of mold. Immediately after the product was applied we clearly noticed the wood floors sounded less hollow and the overall draft downstairs was significantly diminished.     I contacted Sunlight on Thursday (4/28) and spoke to the owner of the company, Ira. I explained to Ira the work I needed done to my house and he goes into great detail about the things his company could do to handle my needs and ensured me that his company does everything the right way. I am immediately impressed with Iras knowledge of the industry and he tells me that he will send someone out on Friday (4/29). His secretary calls me Friday morning and advises me that a technician from the company will be there between 9:30am and 10:30am.At exactly 10:30am, the technician, Clayton, arrives at my house. Clayton is professional, friendly and ready to get under my house toevaluate my actual needs. Clayton takes moisture readings in my subfloor and the floor joist and he examines the general area under my house. When he comes out, he says, you are a lucky man. All the moisture readings are at 15% and he said that as long the readings were under 18%, it was a lot less expensive because they would not have to use this forced air heater they have to dry out the floors. He said thatIra had made a long list of things that would probably need to be addressed in my crawl space, but that was not the case and with the work that was recently done under my house, it was in real good shape and the contractor knew what he was doing. Clayton stated that he would submit his findings along with some pictures to his office and I would get a detailed estimate by email that afternoon. I felt really goodabout my conversation with Clayton and the work he said the company could do.So I waited all day Friday and I never received an email from the company. Since the company advertised as being open on Saturday, Iwaited till the afternoon and called again. Ira answered the phone again and stated that he was currently on a job site, but would goback to the office when he is finished and send me the estimate. I never received anything the rest of the weekend. I waited until Mondayafternoon and after still not receiving the estimate, I called the company again. Ira answered the phone again and stated that Clayton wassuppose to have called him that morning and that they were going to put me on a 3 way call. He stated to hold on and he would get him onthe line. Clayton got on the line and Ira asked Clayton what the moisture readings were in my floor. Clayton told him 15.8 %. Ira saidhe would still use the heater to dry the floor out to 6 or 7% if I plan on staying there or if you plan on selling, just spray it. I would always do the correct thing and would never pass on my problems to someone else, but Clayton had told me as long as I was under 18%, I was OK. Clayton did not speak much during the phone call and Ira threw out a lot of numbers and told me the whole project would be $15,000 to $18,000 including $4,200 for the heater. I asked Ira again to send me a detailed estimate so that I could look over it and speak to my wife about it.I did not here anything back from Ira on Tuesday so, around 5pm, I sent him a text and asked if he had a chance to put together anestimate and he said he would definitely have it to me before 10am on Wednesday. Well guess what, I still did not get it Wednesday oras of the posting of this review either (Saturday 5/07). I am so disappointed because I felt like I had found a really dependable contractor for the work I needed done and they had really good reviews. Maybe the job was not big enough for them and they were just putting me off, but I was planning on getting them to put a roof on my house too if this project worked out. Would have appreciated them telling me they were not interested in the beginning instead of wasting a weeks worth of my time.     I used Sunlight Contractors to remove existing insulation and apply spray foam at my recently purchased home.     After having a full winter of cold floors and high energy bills in my newly purchased house I decided enough was enough and to get spray foam insulation. I contacted several companies for quotes. Sunlight Comtractors won my business for several reasons. They were very prompt in coming out to assess my home. When they came out for an estimate, Clayton discovered very high moisture levels under my home that needed to be remedied before spray foam could be applied. Clayton and Ira both explained and put in writing the approach that would be taken both to eliminate the moisture and insulate the subfloor. They promised I would never have a moisture problem again None of the other companies that I received quotes from had a legitimate method to solve the moisture problem. On top of that, Sunlight Contractors beat all of their insulation quotes. When it was time to start work, the crew was their well before the scheduled time ready to get started. I highly recommend Sunlight Contractors for their expertise and professionalism.

    Sunlight Contractors are the best in the business when it comes to spraying foam insulation. We had them spray our commericial freezer from top to bottom. It was a huge task of over 4000 sqft to cover with 6 inch deep foam all around! Trust me, this was no easy task, but Sunlight Contractors delivered! Owner Mr. Ira Bosh came out to the site personally and assured us that they were going to spray until we were satisfied no matter how long it would take!     I had called two other contractors for quotes. The prices were about the same, but the square footage was a little different. I could not afford either. Six months later I called Sunlight. When Corey came out, his measurements were less than the others were. Therefore, his price was lower to where I could afford it. When they came out, they were very polite and professional. The foam was thicker than I thought it would be and they cleaned up as they went. They finished before the time they gave. I would definitely recommend them and use them again if I would buy another house.

    We were very pleased with Ira, Cory and their crew. They really worked with us as we had delays in the project. They had good communication all along and were helpful with questions about the spray foam. I would highly recommend them. They seem to have special concern for their customers and stand behind their work... with extra training in the area of appying spray foam. We were concerned about using spray foam because some have had bad experiences; which is why its important to get someone who knows what theyre doing. This is why we went with Sunlight.

    My fiancé and I encountered issues with our house in August – that apparently were caused by a slow but steady leak. The leak caused warping of our floors- which were a focal point of our 130 year old home in a historic district in New Orleans neighborhood. Once we dug into the issue we quickly discovered that we had mold under our house- which we later learned had likely spread to the interior and throughout the duct work.Needless to say we were overwhelmed by what appeared to be both a remediation and renovation project. We researched possible companies that had expertise in both areas using the internet and found almost no companies who had excellent reviews in both areas- except Sunlight Contractors, Inc. We knew that as busy professionals whose expertise is not in remediation and renovation we were going to need a “one stop” contractor with expertise in all aspects of our particular project. Sunlight has fit that bill perfectly to date.Our experience with Sunlight and the owner Mr. Ira, have been outstanding to date. Mr. Ira takes the time to explain what needs to be done AND WHY it needs to be done. Most importantly to us, he answers our questions and educates us by providing information to read so we can make informed decisions about how to move forward. Finally, although Mr. Ira might not want to “advertise” his flexibility with our payment schedule caused by issues stemming from delays and complications in receiving our insurance claim payments- he has been extremely understanding and has worked with us to keep this project moving forward.At this point in our project, I am very satisfied with the knowledge, understanding, communication, respectfulness, and mastery of the science and workmanship that Mr. Ira and all his employees have demonstrated.

    Sunlight Contractors has answered my dilemma of finding qualified and competent people to do work in my short crawlspace. Most contractors and sub-contractors are not willing to do this sort of dirty and cramped work. Because of this, our floor structure has deteriorated and rotted past the point of minor repairs. Ira and his team have been very helpful, giving me updates on leaking pipes, rotted beams, etc. as they go. It is a challenging, grimy and expensive job, but we are off to a good start! They have been willing to work with me on staging, phasing and determining the best course of action. Though we are just 2 weeks in, I feel like we are in good hands!

    Sunlight Contractors has been a breath of fresh air when compared to so many other contractors I have talk to concerning our foundation/subfloor problem. Communication has been excellent through the entire process . The workers have been knowledgeable ,very efficient and friendly .Currently, the project is ahead of schedule . They not only are repairing the rotted subfloor areas and protecting our existing floors as much as possible ,they are also addressing the cause of the problem ,humidity/dew points with closed cell foam insulation . Other contractors have offered to repair, replace and demo all the floors but offered no solution to the cause of the problem. Sunlight’s approach has been both conservative , as in preserving our existing floors as much as possible and inspired in the insulation technique to prevent air conditioning in the summer from rotting out your subfloor due to high dew points. It has been a stressful process clearing out the house but Sunlight has made it go smoothly and quickly . Looking forward to our newly redone floors!

    I put a house under contract to buy and discovered mold during the inspection process. I googled and found a random mold remediator to do a thorough mold inspection and quote repairs.The Seller responded by contacting Ira and Sunlight Contractors to give a second opinion. And WOW. Immediately Ira and his lead guys blew me away with their extensive knowledge of building science and the right and wrong ways to tackle mold remediation and to prevent it from ever coming back. They found so many more issues that the first guy missed and had a much more intelligent and sound approach to tackling the problem. Due to the house being added on to several times over the past 70 years, they further identified building design flaws and errors, and then went the extra mile to prove that smart and more efficient redesigns were not only possible, but affordable, that would make an old house like new again.Having a project engineering and management background, I can honestly say that these guys are the real deal. Its hard to find contractors you can trust and have a great depth of experience they can pull from. Ive been burned countless times either in homeownership or in business by contractors who overpromise, scope creep, and underdeliver. Its so nice to finally find someone I can work with and feel good about recommending to my friends.Thank you Ira! Cant wait to call you up again for the next project! Its been a true pleasure.

    I first built my home it 1996 on a slab. In 2005, hurricane Rita has change my life. Due to 4ft of flood water in my home, I was forced to elevate. Not knowing any better, I put a brick skirting around the bottom without enough ventilation. Since I’ve elevated, I’ve changed my floor 3 times due to moisture caused from condensation. To cold in the house and to hot under the house caused my floors to sweat. I’ve been searching the internet for solutions and I’ve come across Sunlight Contractors. I read reviews and contacted few of their customers. I’ve learned this is a 5 star company. So I contacted the company and Ira educated me on the problem I was having. He guided me on preparation to save me money (because of distance) before traveling 3hrs to come spray my home. I happy to say Friday July 20th they came spray 3” of closed cell foam under my home. I’m very pleased with their perfection. They were very professional and cleaned upon completion. I HIGHLY recommend this company. Great business people, very professional, and returns calls ASAP.
