I called for getting a ceiling fan fixed and they gave me a reasonable time compared to the other company I called -- this Friday instead of next Friday. But then they didnt come that Friday, but the following Monday. The electrician found the problem quickly - the switch needed replacing - and solved the problem quickly. So overall, the timing was excellent.The price, however, was about $280 for a diagnosis that took just a few minutes, and then another $150 for replacing the switch. That struck me as unreasonable and I said Id take them off my list of electricians to call. Upon consultation, they decided to call the diagnosis a level 1 instead of level 2 and that saved me $100. They expected me to keep them on my list and to write a review for that. So heres the review.

After yet another severe storm rolled through, a branch landed on our service line and pulled the mast down from the house. Evergy fixed the line, but we needed an electrician to repair the mast. Honestly, when I heard I needed to hire an electrician, my first thought was Scott the Electrician because Ive seen their ads everywhere! They were able to come the next day, they were very fair, professional, and friendly, and I had power in just a few short hours. As a woman, I felt completely comfortable with them being around. I will definitely be calling them again if I need to, and Ive recommended them to my friends and neighbors.

What a great service. Dee met me at my mom’s house and was so curious and nice. She explained the process up front and when approved went to work. The was able to diagnose the problem in a relatively short time and we were able to get it fixed. This is the second time I have used their services and will definitely do it again in the future!

I had 2 other companies give quotes..one over the phone and one in person. Scott the Electrician was 25% less than one and 10% less than the other...very reasonable. The first person that came out did not give me a good feeling asking how I wanted wires ran and wanted to run one of the wires under a duct that was flush with the ceiling joists and also mentioned he could notch out a steel i-beam in a different location...even I knew neither of those seemed right. The electrician from Scott the Electrician (Tim I think?) came out and quoted the work and asked if I had an idea of what I wanted. I explained to him how I wanted 3 switches with each running two lights and showed him where I thought a good location for the switches would be. He said no problem and gave a quick briefing on how he would route things and agreed the duct work and metal i-beam notching made no sense and would not have been proper. I found Tim? to be very personable and professional. I even left to go grab lunch having no reservations leaving him alone in my house...pretty sure the first time I ever did that. After he had it all wired, I quickly looked over his work and noticed the attention to detail and the organization with which he routed/bundled/etc. the wiring. I could not be happier with the work, the price, and the character of the young man that did the work. The next time I need any electrical work, I am calling Scott the Electrician.

We were not disappointed. Brandon did a great job, was quick, and very friendly. The appointment ended up being a little later than originally planned, but they were in communication early on about the delay, so it wasnt a problem. Theyll be our first call next time.

The work was done in a very professional and timely manner and above all passed the city code inspection with no issues. If I have a need to do more work on my moms home again, I will definitely call Les and ask for Tim!

We had a breaker box that was on the verge of a meltdown. Dispatch answered the phone, spent time discussing the problem with me, offering their suggestions and solutions. Dave, the technician, arrived the next day. He spoke to my wife like an adult, and covered all her questions and concerns. Work was done same day. He was pleasant and courteous with the kids and their excitement, and handled my additional items requested perfectly.The entire process was pricy, but I consider them to be right in line for this kind of SPECIALTY work. There may have been cheaper options out there, but everyone else I called was a week away. I dont mind paying for quality and the speed of being there NEXT DAY, and quality components. Cheapest price, fast service, and quality. You only get to pick two.

I do not carry a personal account with google so I’m writing this from my business account.Brian did an exceptional job installing 2 switches, three light fixtures, redirecting current switches and upgrading our breaker panel.He went beyond what was asked of him to do and made clean up and patch repair a breeze for me, which I opted to do myself, by neatly cutting out and saving each piece of drywall where holes had to be cut to run new wires throughout the ceiling. He showed up on time and was respectful of our home and our daughters rooms where new fixtures were installed. My daughters got a kick out of him talking to our little dog and crouching down to pet her each time she came by.I ask a lot of questions, more so because I’m curious by nature and a big DYI individual (besides electrical as I don’t want to burn my house down) and Brian seemed to enjoy explaining each detail of the service panel replacement and answering any other questions I had throughout the day. I’ll definitely be using them again for future projects and can’t recommend Brian from Scott the electrician company enough. R.J. was very efficient, courteous, and. Professional. He. Diagnosed the problem quickly and explained what he felt was the best solution, the time required, and the cost involved. HE had all the parts needed on his truck and completed. The job quickly. J.RWas kind enough to replace some light bulbs that I was unable to reach without any additional charge. J.R. even returned the next morning to tie up some cords that he felt were in the way. My initial call to Scott The Electrician was placed in the a.m. and they were ready to send a recognition out within about 3 hours. We have used Scott for years, not only for repairs but also for new installations. They are somewhat pricey, but we dont have to wait for days, and we know the job will be done correctly no matter how long it takes, without having to come back another day

I called on a late Friday afternoon and spoke to Les after half the power in our house went out. Les listened to what was going on and suggested I call the power company first, especially with the AC and our electrical range being impacted.When the power company came out, they discovered an issue on their side with the cabling from the power box into our house...once replaced the issue was resolved and the power came back on. I called to have some come look at an outside outlet that quit working. I tried breakers and nothing was resolving my issue.I called Scott The Electrician described my issue and let the person I talked to know that I tried all the breakers and nothing fixed my issue and I would need someone to come take a look. That person said he could help me over the phone, I was of course leery as I already tried breakers and what else can you help with over the phone right?He went on to say that if there is not a breaker directly on the outlet itself that it was probably in the closest bathroom or on an outlet inside that was very close to the outlet outside that was not working. I was again not real sure as that does not seem to make sense (why wouldnt it have its own breaker either on the outlet or in the box). So I went into the bathroom and pushed the breaker and the outlet outside was working again.Why did I write this review you ask? Because he could have easily charged me $100 or more to come take a look and push the breaker. Instead he taught me a lesson over the phone for free.In a time where you cannot trust anyone I feel very strongly that you will be able to trust Scott The Electrician. They could have made easy money off me but they chose the high road and helped me for free.If I ever need anything I will be calling Scott The Electrician no doubt about it.
