Our new Rustic Walnut top is strikingly beautiful. The guys at J. Thompson did a fantastic job both in the build, as well as the installation. Its almost too beautiful to set anything on! I highly recommend J. Thompson Tops to anyone in the market for butcher block tops.

If you need wood tops, this is the place to go. Their work is exceptional, they are very professional and easy to work with. This is the latest creation they made for me. An island top with waterfall edge in Iroko wood. Dont buy the fake stuff thats veneer over particle board. This is real, solid wood stuff like your grandparents (and their parents!) had. It will last generations if cared for - and sometimes even if its not.

J. Thompson Tops did a fantastic job on replacing a butcher block kitchen island. Very responsive to all communication, , sent me samples in the mail and were right on schedule with predicted finishing date. All arrangements were made via text and email for a vacation property out of town and installation was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again!

I contracted J Thompson tops to build me a top for my new kitchen island out of solid walnut and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. They were very attentive to our needs and making sure the material and finish was exactly what we wanted. I do woodworking myself and am very meticulous so trust me when i tell you that these tops are top notch. Every top is hand made and finished to order which in my opinion is far superior to all the prefabricated tops we looked at before contacting them. If you have been thinking about a hard wood top you owe it to yourself to contact these guys. They will definitely get my business from now on.
