    Our 20 year old cabinets look brand new! The painters did an amazing job. We had glazed cabinets that were pretty beat up (especially around the sink area) and required a lot of prep work They took their time to get them just right.     The painting team all did an excellent job painting my bathroom. The foreman on my job was very honest and reliable. Iā€™d hire JB painting again for my painting job. Small or large they go the extra mile to get your job done with pride of workmanship.* Update *It was not easy to deal with the owner as I had asked if bubbles in the paint due to humidity in a bathroom could be removed after the foreman left the job site. This was not anyoneā€™s fault and an unexpected occurrence. He did agree and the foreman revisited the job. If you use this company make sure the contract has in it a very detailed description of all prep work and if results are not as you expected due to prep or paint, how it will be handled to make sure you get what you pay for.     Justins team painted the exterior of our house over 4 workdays and did a great job. The entire team was very easy to work with and kept us informed of their progress each day. Everything spelled out in the contract (power washing, taping, sealing the base of our concrete slab, using the proper paint types for different surfaces, and even helping us reinstall some shutters) was accomplished exactly as promised with no problems at all.     My house in La Jolla needed a repair to the drywall in a bathroom after the plumbing vent pipe needed to be replaced and a large portion of the wall behind the toilet was removed by the plumbers to make the repair. J Brown Painting repaired the drywall and repainted the entire bathroom. Excellent work all around with the drywall textured to match the pre-existing texture of the bathroom walls.     Justin and his crew painted the exterior of my house recently. I was impressed with the meticulous prep work they did (stucco repair, facia repair, power washing, sanding some areas, taping etc.). Everyone was professional and very friendly, and they all took care to limit the impact on my cats and dog. I was especially grateful for that. They were also very careful with my plants. The paint job turned out amazing. My house looks so different and new now! Looking at it makes me happy. It was a big job and they did it in a timely manner. Overall just a great experience!

    I contacted Justin and he was incredibly responsive, giving me a quote within a few hours to paint our kitchen cabinets. He did a wonderful job of explaining the process. We were lucky that his team was ready to go the next week painting our cabinets, and we have a lot of them. We had purchased new cabinet doors, and he helped us understand what was needed prior to painting as we were putting on new soft close hinges. When the guys arrived, they were prompt, nice, and very communicative as to the process. They taped everything up well, and hung plastic in both our kitchen and our garage where they were painting the doors. I work from home with 2 dogs, and they made it very easy for me to take them out when needed. It took them 3 days to prep, sand, prime, and put on 2 coats of paint, which is impressive if youve ever painted cabinets before. I would highly recommend Justin and his team!

    J. Brown did an excellent job painting my home. The crew was kind and professional, and they didnā€™t need my attention very much, so it was easy to work inside while the job was being done. The only complaint I would have is that some of my plants got damaged, not from paint, but seemingly from the weight of the plastic used to cover them. I donā€™t think theyā€™re dead or anything, and Iā€™m hoping a good pruning will bring them back to good health. Overall, this company is fantastic, and I would recommend them to anyone!

    This company exceeded our expectations. Ive owned a home since 2009 and I honestly would only invite two companies back into our home. J Brown Painting is one of them. From the beginning, the estimator was very detailed and let us know exactly what to expect throughout the process. They delivered on all fronts.The owner Zach was Grrrrreat! He is a very down to earth guy with a great sense of humor, yet professional at the same time. He understands this business and knows how to keep his clients happy. He stopped by just about every day to make sure that everything was on schedule and done properly. He even threw in a few freebies. Zach and his team did such a great job that our kitchen contractor commented on his work and asked for his card.The crew that was in our house took pride in what they did. They went over the call of duty to ensure the job was done correctly. They basically made the interior of our house that was built in 1949 look new again. We have kids, so you can imagine the holes in the walls, crayon on the doors and trim, etc. They sanded areas that needed sanding to smooth it out. They didnt just paint over it.I want to send a special thanks out to the crew. Svitlana, Ulianna, Hector, Victor (Fun guy to chat with) and Jose. You guys ROCK!This team really knows what they are doing. I highly recommend J Brown Painting should you be looking for something more than just your average paint job.     I just had Justin and his amazing team paint our outdated cherry kitchen cabinets. Anyone can paint kitchen cabinets, but to do it well, it takes a very experienced and knowledgeable team. The finished product exceeded expectations; our kitchen has a new lease on life. The team was courteous and professional and kept the job site clean and orderly. In addition to the cabinets, J Brown patched drywall, painted two rooms and repaired and painted a set of outside stairs. The quality was consistent throughout.     I needed a quality company to do some stucco repairs and repaint my house. After bids from a few different companies, I chose J Brown Painting to do the job. Justin was very communicative and always responded promptly to any questions I had. I felt they had the company size to do the job right without being so big that you felt like you were dealing with a large impersonal corporation. The crew and site supervisor did a great job of communicating what they would be doing throughout the job and were a friendly group. They went above and beyond to mask and tarp everything to avoid any chance of overspray. They made sure to treat some mildew stains I had rather than just painting over it and hoping it would not come back. The job was finished on time and looks fantastic. My 27 year old house looks like new again. I would definitely recommend J Brown Painting for your future painting needs.

    I highly recommend Justin and his team. They repaired stucco and painted the whole house and garage.     After a re-stucco, needed eaves, fascia and siding painted. Found Justin on-line after calling for estimates from 2 other contractors, and havent regretted it. First, he showed up and at the scheduled time for the estimate - something youd think would be a given, but unfortunately wasnt true with the other prminantly advertised companies. Set a project start date and the crew was prompt, capable and professional. Im a day sleeper, so their being relatively quiet (after the power washing) was an added bonus. Color matched our Andersen winows perfectly. No drips or splatters, all areas fully covered and clean up was thourough at jobs end. Heartily recommended.

    Justin and his team did everything they said they would do. They were on time, took proper time to prep the job correctly, and were easy to work with (a special shout out to Elvis). We had what looked like paint overspray on our garage door that was caused by the garage door installer. Even though J Brown didnt cause it, they went the extra mile and figured out how to remove it (thanks Victor!). There was only one surprise (color used on top of drain pipes) and even though most people prefer it done differently, they painted it the way we wanted it, even though it meant extra labor and paint. J Brown was fairly priced and provides excellent value. Wouldnt hesitate to use them again. Our neighbors have been commenting on how good our house looks!

    2022 10-10 Review J. Brown paintingVery professional, great communication, and most importantly the painters take pride in doing an excellent job. From Ayala James, who first contacted us, Justin Brown, who came over did a walk through & gave us an estimate right away to Robert, who was on the site and communicated with us with any issues we might have we were very happy. Justin even gave us a separate estimate for doing our patio beams in case we might not want to spend that money on them. The crew were efficient and seemed to work very well together. All repairs to wood & stucco were included in the estimate. Paint samples were delivered & verified before the painting was done. Did a great job power washing and cleaning up after they were done. I would not hesitate to recommend J Brown Painting for a big painting project! We are very happy with the outcome.

Before recommending J Brown Painting, I hired them to paint my homes exterior as well as my fence and pergola. From the beginning, Justins communication was very thorough and responsive. From power washing to minor stucco repairs, and covering everything needed to prevent overspray, they were surgical with their attention to detail! The paint turned out absolutely beautiful. They were accommodating and reasonable when I changed my mind on a few items as well during the job. The sugar on top is that the whole crew is almost overly polite. The level of respect is through the roof amazing, which means a lot when you have a crew at your home for a few days.I have since recommended J Brown to clients on a number of homes I have sold. He really blew me away on one home in particular recently in Point Loma. A beautiful home that had high ceilings, unique trim work, and required strict attention to detail. He did such a great job, and our mutual clients were thrilled. I highly recommend J Brown Painting.

    OK, J Brown Painting, Not sure where to begin, but this is the absolute best painter I have ever had. I had many painters before so never realized what a professional paint job could really look like. We started with my kitchen and it turned out so well. We love the color from Sherwin Williams of olympic white and they also did our cabinets swhite as well. It turned out much better than I ever thought was possible. People have commented on the cabinets thinking they are brand new cabinets. We have had the cabinets for over 12 years from IKEA.The next day I called them to paint our family room off the kitchen. Again, superb job. Our kitchen and family room looked very small but once they were finished it really opened up the space and looks much bigger and brighter. I am now having them paint the rest of the house too. Justin is very competitive with his prices. The quality of work is superb.
