    Needed an emergency repair as I was going out of town right before a holiday and didnt want to have the fear of an electrical fire hanging over my head. (Many of the electricians I called were actually closed for a 2-week period over the holidays). I called Steve Carter electric at noon and by 2:00 p.m. had a technician waiting at my house. The job was more complicated than I anticipated but within 2 hours the job was completed. Very organized and professional! Highly recommended!

    After receiving an obscene quote to wire up 8 outlets on my newly installed cook islands, I called Steve Carter Electric. It was a rush as we were trying to complete this work before the tile was installed & I only gave SCE one day to turn this around.Barbara was great and worked with me to get me on the schedule the next day on a time and materials quote. She said they would be there at 10:00I received a call at 9:45, Julian was on his way and arrived at 10:00 and got straight to work. The electrical work was straightforward but the locations were tricky and required a bit of flexibility.Work was completed professionally and Julian demonstrated that everything was working properly.Best part, the total was very reasonable & 40% of the other quoteRegarding the pictures, this is one of the cook islands and yes, a grown man did crawl into that space to wire the electric

    I have used Steve Carter Electric for my business as well as my residence. They are totally straightforward and very personable.     We have used Steve Carter Electric in the past and they did a great job. When it was time to do more work, I didn’t think of anyone else and immediately called Barbara with Steve Carter Electric to discuss and potentially schedule the work. We wanted to clean up and update some wiring in the patio as well as install a j box for a ceiling fan. It wasn’t urgent so I thought I would call to get it on the books. Not only were they able to schedule within 24 hours but they were on time, professional and overall did a great job…again! Julian was very pleasant to work with and he listened to our needs.     I had four light switches not working. Electricians arrived early (which was very nice), both were polite, efficient, and professional. One light switch was repaired, and one light fixture was re-seated. The other two fixtures need replacing, which I can do in the next few weeks.     Needed several electrical projects done around the house, came out and did a free inspection to give me a quote. Got quote and approved it and set up repair day but then they were able to get to me earlier. Got all work done correctly in one day with no problems. Office staff and electrician who did the work were all nice to deal with and professional. 1st time I’ve used an electrician after being in my condo for about 25 years and very pleased.

    Steve Carter Electric is clearly an outstanding company committed to providing exceptional service. The owner, Steve, took great care and time in providing us with a thorough initialwalk-through and very fair estimate for the replacement of a bathroom fan and various switches, as well as installation of a new smoke and CO detectors and new vanity lighting and ceiling fans. His wife, Barbara, is absolutely wonderful to work with in terms of scheduling, flexibility, and overall communication. The electrician, Calvin, and his assistant, Jeremy, arrived on time, worked with great care and obvious knowledge, finished the jobs in a timely manner, and even demonstrated concern for keeping our cat as calm as possible by not prolonging the testing of the new smoke detectors any more than necessary, which was much appreciated! Without question, we would hire Steve Carter Electric again for any future electrical needs in our home.

    If I could give more stars, I would. Everyone in their office and crew are friendly, responsive, timely, efficient and highly skilled. Prices are very competitive. They are honest, trustworthy and dependable. They have informed me of more cost effective options that I never would have considered. Ive used them multiple times for a variety of jobs. They have added extra safety measures since COVID and always come to the job with masks. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again. Highly highly recommend.

    Absolutely great job installing a Quiet Cool system in our attic. During the heat we had our AC at 79 and, when it was cooler outside, we opened up all the windows, but it took way to long to cool down the house before bedtime. NOW we can cool down our house within minutes. WOW so… cool and saving money too.

    Such a great customer service experience. My elderly mom moved into a new place this week and on the first night a few of the lights turned off and she had no power her first night. We reset the circuit breakers - but on the second night same thing happened - her lights turned off randomly. I called a few companies and they were all booked until after Christmas. Barbara moved heaven and earth to accommodate us and got a crew out to fix the problem in the same day. Barbara and the crew that came to fix the issue both exceeded our expectations and really gave us the best customer experience. Thank you!

    What a pleasure to find a local small business that is a Super Star. They were knowledgeable, prompt, reliable and very affordable.Weve been wanting to put a ceiling fan and light in our den but no power in the ceiling and no attic space to work in. We were putting the work off as estimates ranged from $650 (we already had the fan) or $59.00 to come out and tell you how much, or ..it depends, I wont know till I get there. Found Steve Carter Electric and called and left a message. I figured with C 19, it would be a while. I heard from Steve within an hour, sent him couple of photos and by the end of the day (actually faster than promised) I had an itemized estimate, which was almost a couple of hundred dollars below the lowest quote we had to date. Steve was polite and professional on the phone.I accepted the quote by return email and soon Barbara, Steves wife, called to see what would be a convenient time for an appointment. Again, very nice and pleasant to speak with. Unfortunately so rare anymore in the world of automatic operators and dialing extensions to speak to another machine.Gary and Cory showed up and from the start I knew we were in good hands. They were clean (wore masks for C19 protection), knew what they were doing and explain everything that needed to be done. They chose an option that minimized the areas where wall and ceiling had to be opened up, even though that option was most time consuming. The job was done perfectly and they cleaned up after themselves very well. Left saying that someone from the office would contact us about payment. I really value that old fashion trust and relationship builder. Like living in a small town again. Barbara called a bit later and we settled up over the phone. My wife and I were so pleased we asked for an estimate on another electrical project on our outside deck. We had the numbers back in couple of hours and will have it done in the near future. I would not go anywhere else for all my electrical needs. They also do outdoor landscaping lighting, I have a feeling we will be seeing them again and again before the summer.

    I needed an extra electrical outlet for a new appliance I purchased. After calling several other online electricians, I realized none of them were really in business ...they were simply booking agents for unknown tradesmen. There was no way to know who would come or how qualified they were.Finally came across Steve Carter Electric, a local business with a local address and was able to explain my situation to the person on the phone. They showed up when they said they would, fixed my problem fast, reasonably priced and more importantly I have someone I can confidently call in the future for the major work that needs to get done here.

    I needed to have an EV charger installed that had a requirements of 70 Amp breakers and 4 gauge wiring. This was to be hardwired to a Chargepoint WallCharger. I spoke to multiple basenesses/people claiming to have done EV installation before settling with Steve. My main panel already looked fully populated with breakers, so I got a quote for up to a $5000 panel upgrade to a low of $425 quick install claim. I will not name manes here but I was a but surprised to see all of these contractors that I picked from Google reviews were 4.3+ start ratings for them. However, starting from the guy who never came by to see my location but was quick to provide a $5000 quote to the one who came by to provide a $425 quote but bowed away when I asked to have him pull a permit. I could not get the lowest quoting guy even on the phone after I tried to call him; his office secretary was telling me they cannot do a 70 AMP breaker install with 4 gauge wiring. The problem was, he did tell me he would but not in writing!Anyway, I called out Steve to come look at the panel and he knew that some of the GE switches could be reconfigured to free up enough space for the new breakers. Steve is a busy man and he quoted me more than the lowest one, but he was very calm and seemed very knowledgeable. When he came out to do the installation, however, he found that the solar installation guys cut-off some of the legs in one of the phases that they installed their breakers. Steve stopped and knew that was a problem but thought for a little bit to locate some if the smaller fuses that did not require 240V lines so the slots with the cut-off power phase leg could be put there. He then installed the 70 AMP fuse with the 4 gauge wiring going to the wall charger. I am certain the other installers would have just balked and wouldnt know what to do in this case.I am now able to use 240 volts at 50 AMPs to change by car at 11KW! I would call Steve again in a whim to work on my electrical panel and I found him knowledgeable, honest and well experienced. Thanks Steve!

    Steve Carter Electirc has been our go to electrician for many years. Our latest project was having them install a Quiet Cool whole house fan. We were given a fair price and had the work done. The guys that did the job were prompt, got the job done and cleaned up so there was no sign they had even been doing such a major job. The fan is great! Quiet as the name implies. It pulls the cooler outside air into our home once the temp outside drops which is perfect living iat the beach. We did not want to go with complete AC and I think this will be the perfect answer to those few hot weeks at the beach and save us alot on energy costs. We can run it on low all night long (only using 64Watts of energy) and start the day out with a nice cool home.

    We had recessed lights in the entrance area and the dining room and we wanted chandeliers in their place. Calvin and Steve did a great job installing both fixtures. They were careful to cover my table and floors with padded tarps to protect them. They also wore shoe covers and face masks. They did and awesome job! Barbara the office manager was very helpful in walking me through the invoice/pay email. We highly recommend Steve Carter Electric!

    Wow! We are so happy with the work Steve Carter has done for us. Our team today was Johnny, Ken and Bob. We needed two ceiling fans installed (where none previously existed). They did a great job! I love my ceiling fans! We also had two LED recessed lights added to my very dark laundry room. What an improvement! An additional job they completed for us is the outdoor fountain timer. It has not worked since we moved in a few months ago and originally installed not to code, with exposed wires and such. They fixed it in no time. Its so nice to hear the fountain!If you want the job done right, we highly recommend Steve Carter Electric!
