Island Aire truly exceeded my expectations! I had a major issue with my air handler involving multiple component failures: first the fan motor, then the evaporator coil, and finally the condensation pump. It was a complicated situation since each failure had to be diagnosed and addressed sequentially—fixing the fan motor was essential to uncovering the coil issue, and only after the coil was repaired could the problem with the condensation pump be identified.Despite the complexity and the repair taking several days, the technician, Dave, remained professional, patient, and highly skilled throughout the entire process. He meticulously walked me through each step, explaining what was happening and why. His expertise and dedication ensured that every issue was resolved properly, leaving my system running smoothly.If you’re looking for a company that can handle even the most complicated HVAC problems with care and precision, I can’t recommend Island Aire enough. Shout out to the Island Aire, Ownership and Technician Team of Christian and Alberto... The recent storm with power surge and outage, destroyed a capacitor in our AC Unit. Island Aire, responded promptly and although had to come back a second day, with a deeper diagnostic. Island Aire, did what they said they would do... They had to leave the first day, to ensure they met other coverage to individuals without AC. What they found on day 2, my Nest Thermostat shut itself off, when the capacitor blew to protect itself. Christian and Alberto, worked well to replace the part and ensure the AC was working in good order. Excellent team, all around from the staff scheduling the work, to Evan himself. Its a comfort to know we can be away from our condo, and are still in good hands with Island Aire. Hands down, solid service, reasonable cost of services and excellent staff. Thanks to all!

Island Aire delivered exceptional emergency service and was able to diagnose a difficult fault code with extensive research with manufacture of our unit, promptly got replacement part that was still on warranty, and promptly followed up with repair.Techs( I forget their names) were professional, competent and personable.I built my house here in Tierra Verde 23 yrs ago and up untilnoe have always use the company in Clearwater that installed my 3 units and gave had service contracts with them ..But they failed me and I am switching my service contracts to Island Aire.Vince KunzTierra Verde

I dont write a lot of reviews, but I am so happy with this company. We are renovating a townhouse on the island and I know the HVAC is old. I asked Island Aire to come out an assess the system, conduct maintenance, and give me some help making the system last for a year. David, the tech that came out was great. He went through the whole system and explained how the dust we made in the demolition was affecting the air handler and how we can prevent the build up on the coil and recommended changing the filter even more than the weekly I am doing now. He cleaned the condenser and explained how i needed to treat it to keep it working. I am now going to use this team from here on out. Nice to have a local company here on the island that I can trust. Thanks so much for being great neighbor.

Had an issue with HVAC. I originally thought it was the thermostat so I had them come out and replace it.After replacing, the same issue was happening letting me know it wasn’t the thermostat.I called Island Aire back and told them I’m having the same issue.The owner came out the following day and diagnosed and replaced the bad part. He only charged me $75 for labor and gave me the new parts for free. Which I was told cost about $200 in parts.I would definitely recommend Island Aire if you’re looking for an affordable HVAC company that stands behind their work and won’t leave you hanging.

When shopping for a new A.C. unit for my condo I did my research, contacted 5 different local A.C. companies and selected Island Aire. Their price was competitive, their installers were knowledgeable, respectful of my home, efficient, and left my home the way they found it. The owner Evan even came by to make sure we were completely satisfied and best of all there were no surprises. I highly recommend Evan and his staff of professionals!

We have used Island Aire a few times now over the past couple of years and are very happy with them.We originally found them after having a terrible experience with a contractor and his preferred HVAC company. It was a very expensive mistake the previous company made. The owner, Evan, made sure we understood what the problem was and what the fix would be. We were very apprehensive but Evan really worked hard to gain our trust. From the from office staff, scheduling to install and post job follow up was great. We had a couple of issues with different parts of the unit since then and Evans team has done a good job of taking care of us!Evan even help us over the phone after hours to trouble shoot our unit before sending a tech out after Hurricane Idalia flooded our house & neighborhood. With his help we were back up and running without a service call.Today our unit was not working and they got Christian here in less than 6 hours. Christian was here for an hour and we were back up & running. Service call, repair & parts were under $300. We would recommend Evan and his team without hesitation!

We have had Island Aire come several times for service and they are excellent. We also needed to replace our unit and Island Aire was the most reasonable. There was another company that wanted to charge twice as much. Island Aire is an honest and delivers a complete service. I have recommended them to 3 other people just this month. 👍👍

Me and my pregnant wife rode out Hurricane Debbie with a broken air conditionair, reaching out to Island Aire ended the worst 24 hours of her pregnancy. In less then favorable weather conditions, the Island Aire team promptly and completely solved our air conditioning problems, even with being patient as we corralled our puppies to a safe room as the work progressed.1,000% Recommend !!!Will use services again, definitely saved their number in my phone!

Called them that the AC was out and they were at my house within a half hour. Found a bad capacitor within 5 minutes. Replaced the capacitor and the AC was working. the whole process was about 30 minutes. Highly recommend

This is my second 5-star review - highly deserved as a result of the follow-up customer service that the Island Aire team of professionals have provided to us since our install in December 2022.Not even the highest priced A/C is guaranteed to be perfect from Day 1, and when we had some concerns that we wanted Evan to investigate, the folks from Island Aire didn’t hesitate to show up, investigate the concern - and do whatever was needed to remedy it.Because our old system had a custom modification, our new system needed some after-install tweaking to perform at the same capacity the old system did. The team showed up, made it right, and satisfied our concerns.Evan, Joe, Christian as well as the entire staff, Carmen, Sharon, and everyone at Island Aire - we can not (say) enough good things about these professionals, and we are happy and confident to recommend Island Aire to all our friends and neighbors.Thank you Island Aire!

The folks at Island Aire are the very best, and no other local HVAC contractor compares in terms service, dependability, quality and cost.It’s becoming more and more difficult to find honest and reliable contractors these days, but Evan, Sharon and the rest of the team at Island Aire are “old school” professionals who do great work at a reasonable price and stand behind that work. We had Island Aire install our A/C system a couple years ago and yesterday the fan stopped working. My wife called to let them know and within a few hours they were replacing the parts needed, and covered under warranty. Evan and Joe did a fantastic job and the air was working again by that evening. If you are considering an HVAC company for your project, you will not beat the service that you receive from this company if you choose to shop with another.

Newly installed system with upgrades, is now 1 yr old. Im now 100% confident and happy to share that we made the right choices and picked the right team to get the job done right!We had Island Air out as a 2nd opinion/ quote on a repair of our old unit and asked them to quote replacement options, with upgrades broken out so we could see if/ what we could afford or worth upgrading to. They listened to our wants, assessed our needs and presented all of our options and pricing to us. Having been out of the HVAC industry for a few yrs now, I trusted no one! I took all the information they provided and verified ALL of it, everything I was told & all information given. To my best recollection, York equipment was what we used for budget commercial installs, not a premium home brand. We ended up having the team from Island Air install a new split system with a vertical/ true DC inverter condensing unit, variable speed air handler, modern t-stat, and add return air ducts to each of the bedrooms, and redo some of the return lines (done in flex), that they converted to hard duct. We also added 2x UV lights, a 4 filtration box (eliminated all the filters at each return), an air scrubber and purchased an AMAZING extended warranty = 10yrs all parts & all labor (excludes maintenance) but no other fine print.As I mentioned at the start, the unit has now been in 1 yr., Ive 0 issues, the installation not only passed its inspection, but the city inspector spent another 20minutes pointing out exceptional quality/ craftsmen ship used in the install, from the electrical to the mechanical portion(s) of the installation. Ive had to change filters (of course), and they are the cleanest used filters Ive ever replaced!Pros- The house is more comfortable than its ever been- cooler & dryer.Utility/ elec bills have dropped about 10%Indoor & outdoor units are amazingly quiet (condenser is right outside the MB BR window so this is huge!Great 10yr P&L warranty & 12 months same as cash financing.Possibility to expand system with remote heads is an option if needed.Condenser takes up less side yard space.Saving $$ on annual filter replacementsI really dont have any cons to share about the system, the installation, the installers themselves were courteous, clean, and communicated clearly, respectfully, & thoroughly. The office staff was courteous, and accommodating through the entire process including permitting, ppwk completion, etc.... From the 1st phone call, to the 1st yr/ annual maintenance I can not think of 1 thing negative about the equipment, installers, installation, price, warranty, equipment performance, etc... that has not been a perfect example of what sales/ service should be. It is VERY refreshing to find a contractor of this caliber in this day and age. Thank you to each one of the staff at Island Aire LLC that supported us throughout this project.

I had a great experience which began with Joe who came to see what was going on with my A/C. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He advised of a sale they had which included a 10 year warranty. When I called the business I spoke with Carmen who was also very professional, sweet and followed through with all questions I had. Daniel and Johnny installed my new unit and my home is cooler than it has EVER been at the same setting I’ve always used. Great job from all involved!

My HVAC system died on a Wednesday night. I called at 8:30, by 9:30 a technician was at my house. It was determined I needed a whole new system ( 15 years old). They put two large portable units in my house to hold me over until the equipment could arrive. The quote was very reasonable ( I had a family member in the field but unfortunately not local look it over). They installed in less than 2 weeks, which I have been told , with covid slowing down the manufacturing process, was an excellent turn around. I was very pleased with the men who installed. They were pleasant and obviously extremely knowledgeable. The woman at the office was always very pleasant as well. I will definitely refer them and continue to use them , if needed.

These guys are absolutely terrific. We went through three different HVAC companies trying to fix our old unit until we happened upon Mike at Island Aire. He made an accurate diagnosis and was able to fix what those other companies could not. That was four years ago. When we needed to replace an AC unit last year, Mike was the best by far, both in price and knowledge. The other guys on his team are also first rate. They wont try to up-sell you stuff you dont need and have an indepth understanding of how the systems work, so you get the right fix if you have any problems. I wont go anywhere else.

Very good experience. My AC stopped working and I called Island Aire to repair it (they originally installed the system for the prior owner of the home). They called me back promptly, scheduled an appointment and Alberto (the service tech) arrived on time. Alberto was very professional and diagnosed the issue quickly. He even checked to see of the part (a control board) was on warranty and it was saving me money. A few days later the part was in, the repair was scheduled, and Alberto was back to complete the repair. I am a service business owner and was very impressed with Island Aire and Alberto. I highly recommend them for residential AC repair/replacement.
