Capital Masonry was quick to respond to come out and check out what work needed to be done on our 100 year old grocery building and gave us our estimate a few days later. It was a very rainy summer here in Minnesota, but Joe kept me up to date on when our project would start and let me know of any delays in the project. Dave came out and looked at the project right before the start date and walked me through what was going to happen. Once the project started, Capital’s crew was incredibly professional and courteous. The project went off without a hitch and after the project was completed, they were fastidious in cleanup. The only evidence of Capital Masonry’s presence was the incredible tuck pointing job they did on our building.I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Dave and Joe Smith-Cunnien and the crew at Capital Masonry on our future projects. They do incredible work and are incredibly detailed with their communication and craft. Highly recommend

They were very detailed about what their approach was going to be in dealing with the damage and ensuring that no further damage would occur. They were courteous and kept us updated throughout the process. They were able to recover the vast majority of the bricks, which otherwise would have been impossible to match exactly. The final result looks great.

They presented various mortar colors from which to select, gave us an accurate estimate, and kept to their timeline. When a major problem occurred through no fault of theirs, they assessed the situation, provided alternatives and costs, and completed the project. The work was excellent, and we love the finished project.

We are a 16 Unit condominium Assoc. in a 128 yr old building. Over the last 5 yrs. CMR has done our Building tuckpointing, built a retaining wall, rebuilt stairs and railings, & replaced marble steps and flooring. All of the proposals were made after detailed conversations with us, they were complete and easy to understand. The work, once started was done in a professional and efficient manner. Unanticipated add-ons were clearly explained and we were given various options with recommendations. The jobs all were completed at or below budget. Our Assoc. board is very satisfied with the services that have been provided by CMR and we look forward to a continued professional relationship with them in maintaining our 128 yr old building.

I called Capital Mason Restoration because we were told by another sourece that we needed loose bricks replaced on our 1930s home, but they could not match the old bricks exactly. Capital Masonry Restoration was able to remove the current bricks and replace them keeping the integrity of our chimney in tact. The project ran very smoothly and we now have a a beautiful restored chimney.
