    Ben, of Yohen Home Renovation, was contracted by me to finish all the drywall work in my 1000 SF basement renovation in Burlington,VT.I have renovated two homes, one entirely a “gut job”, and built another in Denver, CO (with some contracted help). This has been a hobby of mine for over 50 years.I know craftsmanship when I see it and appreciate the pride such engenders in the individual. Ben was a consummate craftsman. Detailed in his work, thorough and his work product of the highest caliber. He is courteous and communicates his schedule along with demonstrating a punctuality rare in the construction trades. Importantly, he listens. He listens to the customer as to their desires regarding the scope of the work and outcome expected, then executes it without the need for customer surveillance.His skill set on this project was to be appreciated. There is no replacement for craftsmanship, for dollars often cannot buy it. Ben was a delight to work with and I can recommend him without reservation.Rob Farnham

    Ben & Natalie have it all. Skills, attention to detail, promptness and communication. They have worked at my house twice and have done an excellent job. They replaced several custom windows and went the extra step of asking me if I had any trim paint so they could make the job look perfect!!     TL/DR: hire Yohen and youll be happy. Simple as that.We recently completed our 3rd project with Yohen that involved removing a significant structural wall. The wall was replaced with a substantial LVL beam that opened up a scenic view to another room and increased the natural light. This also involved the removal of a fireplace that turned out to be quite a bit more involved than originally forecast by me (not Yohen). They also smoothed out the original textured finish of a large cathedral ceiling and an adjacent ceiling in another room. We are very happy with the results and the quality of the work. I saw the work with the LVL beam and its probably the strongest element in the whole house!All the demo and the sheetrock work creates a LOT of dust. They took great care to seal off the construction zone from the rest of the house and they even went to another level and brought in a large HEPA air scrubber. The air scrubber made a HUGE difference and we really appreciated that touch. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the construction zone and neatly organized all their tools and supplies. We really appreciated that too.On top of all of that, the communications were excellent. It may sound simple/obvious, but they said what they were gonna do, when they were gonna do it, and then they did. We worked together as every project inevitably will have some changes in scope. They are very easy to work with and there were no surprises.We highly recommend Yohen and we will certainly be booking their services for more projects down the road.

    Ben did a wonderful job renovating a room in my house. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and was also just a nice guy to have around. I recommend him highly, and I hope to hire him again in the future. He completely replaced walls and ceiling, painted, repaired and replaced baseboards, and also reseated a toilet.     Yohens Ben and Natalie were the right team for our bathroom repair jobs! They were very friendly and professional and were thoughtful of their noise while I worked from home during the repair. We had two bathroom ceilings to finish, one including insulation and structural repairs after roof-leak water damage, and we couldnt be happier with the finished product! The surfaces are seamless and you cant tell there was ever an issue. They also installed a new bathroom fan/light fixture and repaired a few shower tiles that were coming loose. They were on-time, finished within estimated timeframe, and on budget for quoted price. If youre in need of help for home repairs, consider Yohen, you will be happy you did.
