    Having just moved back to Virginia after a 30 year absence, we weren’t familiar with fence companies in the area. Knowing that fence was mandatory in order to give our pup a safe area to play, we started calling companies and getting estimates. Rugged Fence was our fourth estimate. It was also our last. We are so impressed with this company! Spencer and Emily are wonderful to work to work with. The cost was extremely fair, the quality of fence is top notch, and the workmanship from their crew is incredible! They started early in the morning, worked until sundown, and they were back the next morning bright and early to complete the job. The end result is a beautiful fence that will not only keep our pup safe, but it’s great to look at! I can’t tell you how many compliments we’ve gotten from our new neighbors!     Spencer and his team are absolute professionals from consultation through installation. They walked the property with me, helped plan the layout, quoted a fair and competitive price, and came out just a few weeks later to complete the project. We fenced in a backyard area with three board and wire, and separate woods area with woven wire. It’s a sturdy fence, looks great, and the gates function perfectly. Rugged Fence communicated with us very promptly and often. They are the best in the area!

    Mike and his team went above and beyond to make our experience with the invisible fence a great one and I couldn’t be happier with their services and products. My 2 year old Lab and her 6 month old brother love spending time outside and learned very quick where the fence boundaries are with minimal shock. Highly recommend!

    We had an excellent experience with Spencer, Emily & the Rugged team from start to finish! Great communication, knowledgeable, flexible, very responsive, and patient. They helped us navigate all the documentation and paperwork we needed for our HOA and really aimed to please. They also use higher quality materials than much of the competition in the area. I am in love with our fence! The installation team was professional, hard-working, and efficient, getting the entire fence and four gates all done in one day! It looks fabulous! I’d highly recommend Rugged Fence and am so glad we decided to go with them for our fencing project! 5 stars, hands down.

    I decided to go with Rugged Fence for my home improvement project. When she came out for the initial consultation, Michelle was very thorough in taking measurements and noting the extensive rot and damage to the old fence. She was an absolute delight to talk to! She made me feel comfortable & confident in the companys abilities.Tatsiana and Emily in the office were also very lovely, staying in constant contact with me throughout. I had to wait a couple of months for approval from my HOA, but once the time limit had passed, we were good to go! We got it scheduled within just a couple of days, and the team came out and got the whole thing taken care of in one day flat! Mind you, I have a townhouse on a smallish lot, so it wasnt a whole lot of fence to remove & replace, but they were still incredibly efficient about it! They were even careful to not harm my next door neighbors rose bushes (which are currently pruned down, but still; she works hard for her garden!).My new picket fence looks fantastic and I cant wait to paint it in the spring! As for the back, it is such a relief to finally have a gate that isnt so heavy that it threatens to pull the whole fence down, and that there are no more holes for my cats to try running out of, or skunks to get in!My biggest thanks to the team of Rugged Fence!     A fantastic experience from start to finish. The website made it easy to request an estimate and we received a prompt, professional, and friendly call to set up a site visit.We knew we had found our fence contractor when Emily came out to do the estimate. She was on time (actually early!) and very engaged. Other companies representatives had come out and the experience was just them taking measurements and saying, what do you want? I wasnt getting any guidance or advice even after explicitly asking for it.Emily took the time to listen to what our goals were for the project and our aesthetic ideas. Her expertise and personal experience helped us choose the materials and design that is safe for our big, active dog and looks GREAT.I dont think the install could have been smoother. The crew was prompt and professional, like everyone else with Rugged had been, and asked questions to confirm the plan. They wasted no time and got the fence and gates in faster than we expected without any sacrifice to the incredible quality of work. Ive checked out similar fences around the neighborhood and even my layman eyes can see that our Rugged install is both cleaner and more secure. We really appreciate the attention to detail and the consistent nailing of every connection.I expect well enjoy our Rugged Fence worry-free for a long time to come. We definitely appreciate the peace-of-mind from Ruggeds warranty and anticipate that if we do need any service the experience will be just as pleasant.

    I had an appointment with Rugged Fence to come out and view my property for a fence quote. Initially, they did not show up, however, they did come out after being made aware of the missed appointment. The quote provided was fair, and they are willing to work with you since they offer financing. I am still contemplating my business with them only due to the fact that I need additional work done to make sure the property is ready for a fence. For example, taking trees down, moving stone, filling in holes.

    We recently had a fence installed by Rugged fence. We went with them because they had the best price honestly. Having never bought a fence before I was having all kinds of sticker shock. What I didn’t realize, my neighbors didn’t realize and this company didn’t realize was that we are on a slab of solid rock. There was a little adjusting that needed to be done, but man did they make us a nice looking fence. When I say they worked, they worked. It was way more than they bargained for and never once did they complain or short cut this job. And throughout it all Spencer kept in communication with us and made sure that we got exactly what we had envisioned. From my first call until it was completely done everyone at Rugged fence was top notch!

    We are very happy with the work done by Rugged Fence. There is a clear difference in quality compared to our neighbors fences (who used different companies of course). The hardware on the gates is especially nice - and easy to use! Spencer walked the yard with us and addressed any concerns we had with low places in the fence that our puppy might be able to escape through, and even made a last-minute adjustment to the design of our gate so it would match our neighbors. They had to go purchase extra wood to do it and werent even going to charge for it! Thats good business and taking care of your customer. The crew was very efficient and even filled in holes where we recently had trees removed, without us having to ask. It was a great idea and saved us a lot of work. Our puppy is much happier now that she can run around without a leash! If youre looking for quality, flexibility, and integrity - at a cheaper rate than anyone else quoted us - we would definitely recommend you contact Rugged Fence.

    We have had a mostly positive experience with Rugged Fence. Unfortunately, when the fence was initially built the space between panels was further apart than it was supposed to be and some panels were not completely nailed down. As a result, one of our dogs escaped and was subsequently injured. We informed Rugged Fence and they came back and removed and reattached all panels to correct the spacing issue. They were apologetic and wanted to remedy the issue as soon as possible.

    Discussed the idea of a fence with my wife and decided to get a quote. RF came highly recommended, so I decided to give them a call. Long story short, within the week Spencer and Emily came out and walked through various designs with me. Emily ended up making a really solid suggestion that helped wrap up the layout. They took measurements and told me to give them a couple days. 24 hours later I had my proposal and signed it. Everything was beyond reasonable. The labor crew was amazing, showed up on time and left nothing behind. The fence looks amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Rugged Fence.

    I contacted Spencer when I was having trouble with hiring a fencing company over pricing. I needed the aluminum fence because of strong winds and more importantly my young son being an adventurous kid. Money wasn’t the most important factor but I’m not rich and needed to save get a proper fence. Received some estimates and more important to note lots of run around. Spencer was the exact opposite of the norm. He showed up when he said he would, walked the property with me and answered all my questions. I provided him my estimate from another company and said he can come close. He actually beat it by $500 and gave me an accurate timeline to when he can start. Rugged Fence team showed up and completed my job in 1 day. I waited purposely to make a review to verify quality and I can say with all the wind and effects from winter this fence is a great investment and Rugged is a well above standard company to use. I suggest if you need a fence you contact Spencer and get him to do the job. You will be satisfied and at ease with their level of professionalism. Great work and thanks to Rugged for the peace of mind.

They used heavy duty products and built the fence to last!     Friendly and professional service. The deer fence for our vineyard and garden are both beautiful as well as functional. They went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied down to the smallest of details.     We recently hired Agile Exteriors to remove an old wire fence and failing automatic gate with a new four-board fence, new dual automatic gate system with solar panel, and pedestrian gate. The end product was fantastic! They were very prompt (both in communicating with us and meeting project deadlines) and professional throughout the process and were flexible with minor changes that we requested. They used quality materials and products including top of the line Ghost Controls equipment for the gate controller which was a huge improvement over our old Mighty Mule controller. We are extremely satisfied with their work and highly recommend them for any fencing or gate project!

    I got a fence put in. It was expensive but our neighbors used them as well and their fence looked good. I have been more than disappointed. I got the wrong sized gait, none of the caps were secured which caused them to blow off (the did come back out and glue them later), the posts are not straight, one of our gates does not open or close without having to push the post open, and there are multiple holes from mid dug fence post holes in my yard that they did not fill.Edit. They were very responsive to fixing the issues. I would have been better to not require repeat visit but they did come out and straighten everythingEdit 2. The more I look the worse it gets. This cost me 3000 dollarsEdit 3. Despite it being 2 years out they are fixing the issues. I will keep it posted.

    Can’t say enough good things about Agile Exteriors and the owner, Spencer. In my case they took on a project outside their normal work. They completely cleared approximately 6 acres of land for me. This land was incredibly overgrown with 50 years of invasive species (Russian Olive) growth and many dead trees. Spencer and his team tackled the job aggressively and worked through the many issues they discovered with creative solutions. It was a tough, tough job and Agile Exteriors handled it. Our lot now looks great and is a showcase. Depend on Agile Exteriors, you won’t be disappointed.

    Wow...5 star experience from start to finish. We contacted Rugged Fence and Spencer (owner) came out and did a site visit. Very easy to collaborate with and worked with our challenging terrain. Estimate came in at what I was expecting and a few weeks later they showed up for work. I was expecting a 2 day job considering the terrain, the rocky soil in Northern VA and the need to navigate a tricky septic line. I showed up at 4:45 that afternoon and it was DONE. The foreman walked me through the project and answered all my questions. Just a wonderful experience, highly recommend.
