    AES built a powder room on our main level. Work started earlier than originally planned, which got everything done by Thanksgiving and we were able to host. All the staff were very profesional. The only issues we had were with County inspectors, which AES navigated through all the scheduling and procedural hiccups. We really appreciate all that went into getting this project complete.

    AES Builders is a great company to work with. When the owner says Youll be happy when we are done. If your not happy then we are not done he means it. The installer of our new kitchen, James, is very detail 696iented, kept us posted as to where we were in the job and what was going to happen next. He has to have the best work ethic I have ever seen. Our kitchen turned out beautifully.

    We had an incredible experience from start to finish. We went from an unfinished storage unit for a basement to a dream-like family retreat.     AES was great! They worked with us on our budget and helped us figure out how we could maximize how far the money could go. I dont expect perfection (the world isnt perfect), but AES was just about as close to perfection as anyone can come.

    Excellent work with a 5-year warrantee, at reasonable--though not cheap--prices. We contacted several companies to get estimates on remodeling three bathrooms. AES was the most responsive and, while they were not the least expensive of the estimates we received, they were the company we felt was the most professional in its initial contacts with us. Throughout the project, they responded to every question we had within 24 hours, either by email or telephone, with many of the responses coming from the company owner, Tim Munson, himself. All three bathroooms came out looking great. We will undoubtedly be using AES for future projects.

    AES did a total kitchen renovation for us. No one would ever say gutting your existing kitchen and living with daily work of some kind is easy, but AES kept things running smoothly during the process. Workers were prompt and cleaned up each day. Delays were managed with care and kind attention. From the start, Mr. Munson, the owner made his presence known and was available for questions or concerns. After all of the work was complete, we had issues with the appliances and were not getting answers, Mr. Munson personally went to the store and got things moving even though this was not in any way related to the building process! A truly delightful company to work with. We highly recommend AES Home Builders for your next job!

    I hired AES to remodel 2 bathrooms that were back to back, so they were able to do them at the same time. Throughout the project, I had a salesman/point person, as well as the same 2-man crew who did the actual work. I selected my tiles and materials at 2 offsite vendors. Everyone I dealt with was friendly yet professional. The workers consulted me for tile placement, fixture placement, etc. They were prompt every day (compared to the horror stories of no-show workers), and made sure I was happy with the placement of everything. I changed my mind on the door pulls vs knobs, so they changed them out as I requested, and they finished on time. They were careful about cleanup during the whole process and protected my furniture and floors. The one hiccup we had was the in-floor heating in my master bath. They installed it carefully and it didnt work properly. After further investigation and a visit from the company rep, it was discovered that the thermostat was the problem. There was a delay due to the winter holidays (I was provided a manual thermostat in the mean time so I could start enjoying the floors), then they came back out to install the programmable thermostat I had ordered and I am very happy with it.Overall it was a great experience. Everyone who worked on the project knew what they were doing and answered my questions. I am very happy with my 2 new bathrooms!

    We purchased 5 replacement windows from AES. Chose them over a few other companies because we liked the quality of the window over the others, even though the price was a bit higher. Salesman. Nate, was responsive and knowledgeable. We were told the installer...Stephen...was the best at his craft. He spent 2 days installing the windows and the workmanship was as promised. Was also nice feeling comfortable having him in our house. I would recommend AES without hesitation.

    We recently had AES Builder & Home Improvements Inc complete a renovation to have an open concept living space. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Not only is everything so beautiful, it really changed our day to day living for the better. From start to finish, they made our dream come to reality. Mr Munson, President and his team were great to work with. David Santangelo, Estimator, worked with us from start to finish. He stopped in frequently to make sure things were moving along as they should be and that we were satisfied, (and we are!) He was so friendly and easy to work with. AES was very professional.     This is our second time using AES for major home improvements. This project proved more complicated than we anticipated (that happens when youre working in homes built in the 1950s), but Stephen, Mark, and the team were patient and professional and always kept the lines of communication open. They were also flexible with our budget, allowing us to do some parts of the project ourselves to save money. Thanks for another job well done, AES!

    AES did a front room and bathroom remodel for me. The work done was outstanding and the bathroom is beautiful. I gave them 4 stars because they need to work on their communication with clients, particularly in the area of the concierge service. It appears that the employees in that part of the company do not check the orders when they come in or if they do, they do not communicate issues until the last minute. I didnt learn that the bathroom mirror, which matched the vanity, did not come in because the company stopped making mirrors, until 2 weeks before the job was complete. Therefore, I had to go out and find another mirror to match the decor (shout out to Orlin, part of the construction crew, who prevailed on this effort!). I also did not find out that the wrong size faucet was sent until the plumber was at the house to install it. I had to go searching for a similar faucet in the right size and the plumber had to come back to finish the job. When you contract with a company that offers a concierge service, details like checking a customers order should be standard practice along with communicating with the customer immediately when there are issues. Communication issue aside, I would recommend AES for the quality of their work.

    Barbara and I used AES Builders in August 2009 for renevation of our home. Did an outstanding job on that project so we called them to finish another project for our home this year.     After interviewing a few companies to remodel and refinish my basement, I went with AES and am very happy that I did. My basement had damage from flooding and needed a lot of work to rebuild it and improve it. AES is a family owned business and everyone I worked with was friendly, honest, professional, and responsive. You always hear horror stories about contractors being unreliable or leaving the job unfinished to go do a higher paying job but NOT AES. I was confident in their business model and they proved to be very trustworthy and dependable. I was kept in the loop and they were very easy to work with. The subcontractors they used for drywall and paint were awesome (Jesus Painters and Drywall) and the demo guy did impressive work ripping up flooring and doing framing. The electric guy was great, too. David Trivette (AES) did an amazing job with all the trim work, shelving, hanging sliding barn doors, and fixing some issues with my wet bar cabinets. The guys in the office were all responsive and helpful - Stephen, Marc, and Randy. Shawna, the concierge was great as well in picking out paint colors and getting the barn doors ordered and shipped. My basement is now my favorite place in my house and its all because of the quality work from AES and their outstanding customer service. Thanks, AES!!!

    We hired AES to do our master bathroom remodel. We are very happy with it, it’s beautiful! Everyone was friendly and professional, the sales person/estimator, the two men who did the work, the concierge, they were all very good at what they do. The workers were detail oriented and cleaned up the place every day before they left. We received quotes from 3 companies for this job, AES was in the middle. We really liked the concierge service - they send a designer with you to shop for the tiles, flooring, fixtures, etc, they help you pick everything out and tie it all together into a coherent design. It was very helpful, they even help you pick out paint colors.

Shawna was helpful in introducing us to their vendors, arranging meetings, and in helping us to design a beautiful master bath.     From the start to the finish of our project, we had a great experience with AES Builders. AES replaced a very large picture window in our sunroom for us. They suggested a slightly different design of window from the one that we had, that would be safer and more cost efficient. Our new window is beautiful, and we couldnt be more pleased. We are so glad that we followed their recommendations. We also needed some extensive exterior trim replacement outside the window, and AES did a fabulous job with that also. Our window looks better now that it has ever looked!Our project also consisted of replacing two of our old patio doors that had not been functional for some time, with new AES sliders. The new doors are wonderful, and it is so great to be able to have functioning doors again!Everyone that we had contact with at AES was great to work with. Steve headed up the construction of our project, and he was very knowledgeable and experienced, and a very skilled and efficient carpenter. Steve was able to assess the sun and water damage to our old exterior trim, and suggest the best plan for replacement. He did a great job for us!

    A little over a year ago we remodeled our master bathroom, kid’s bathroom, kitchen and powder room along with a few other minor things in the house with AES. I will say this, I am a tough critic and AES goes above and beyond to make a customer happy. They truly do stand by their motto “When we are done you will be happy, if you aren’t happy we aren’t done”. With so much work being completed in the house at one time of course there were hiccups. We would make changes as the construction was happening and AES would do so without any issues. Mr. Munson actually came out to the home to see progress and speak with us, he is really hands on. Mark came on the project towards the end of the project but was so knowledgeable with questions we had. We have had AES out several times and they stand by their work and warranty and fixed any issues with had without any issues. James who has been out to our home to make adjustments is amazing and very professional and work quality is amazing. I would highly recommend this company for any remodels of your home.Thank you Mr. Munson and AES.

    This is our second BIG remodeling project with AES. There are literally hundreds of small issues that come up with any remodeling project. AES is hands-on with each detail and question we had which is the only way I will work with a contractor. Our first project was a full basement remodel and the second involved remodeling the main floor and kitchen of a 115 year old home in Old Ellicott City. The quality for both projects is simply the best and the experience getting there was exceptional. I happily recommend AES to anyone looking for a beautiful outcome done in partnership with professional & detail oriented builders.

    As with any construction job there were bumps in the road. The job was started late do to supply issues. No fault of AES. We had issues with parts for the cabinets coming in a couple months after the job was done, found a crack in the kitchen sink after the counter and tile was in place, LPV flooring was raised up in a couple spots. Was surprised with a hefty bill at the end because the flooring for the kitchen\ dining room was not added to initial bill. But by the end everything was taken care of and the kitchen and floor looks great. Tim Munson made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. For that reason I am giving AES a 5 star rating.

    Our Randallstown home was built in 1955. We bought the property with its original 64-year-old interior decor in 2000. Several years later, various first floor areas were in need of some serious work! Last year, we were able to hire AES Builder & Home Improvement to undertake remodeling the master bathroom and bedroom, kitchen, living room and laundry room. Ours was primarily a tear down and gut to the studs project.The AES contractors and subcontractors all did excellent work. The AES designer--who showed us computer generated drawings of our remodel spaces months before the heavy tear down equipment was onsite-- worked closely with us and showed us ways to actually build out new space on the property to increase our square footage.Tim Munson was/is a hands on owner and he spent a good deal of time with us. A man of serious faith, character and integrity, he was fully engaged in our project, even as he was involved in various stages of other large and small commercial and residential projects across the region. We never had a hard time reaching him. He promptly responded to all communications and addressed any of our concerns.AES completed work last September and we LOVE the results: contemporarily remodeled rooms, lots of windows and more physical space backed up by a five year labor warranty!!So pleased are we with Tim and AES that weve recently hired his company to do some sorely needed exterior reconstruction to upgrade/replace a few structural features that date back to 1955.

After interviewing three companies, it was clear AES was the best choice for our needs, and it started at the top with the companys president, Mr. Tim Munson, who visited us to discuss our project and answer all questions we had. He is a consummate professional who cares about his clients.The work was performed professionally and efficiently, and the end result was one with which we were extremely satisfied. Any minor issues that came about along the way were resolved immediately and personally by Mr. Munson.     They just completed a 3-season room and deck for us and it looks great. 5-star rating for the end product for sure. The builders and installers all did a great job. They were friendly and willing to answer any questions I asked. The cleanup crew of one did a fabulous job. The salesman, David Hill, was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. A pleasure to work with for sure. If I were to ignore the fact that we signed the contract in March 2020, at the beginning of what became an unprecedented pandemic, and the build did not complete until February 2021, this review might have been far less positive. We were initially anticipating completion by July 2020. But who’d have known how the pandemic would eventually affect suppliers, inventory availability, inspector availability, and more. There were so many delays that appear to have been out of everyone’s control. Marc, our project manager, seemed overwhelmed at times trying to coordinate all the various activities for this project. Multiply that by all the other projects AES might have had going on at the same time and all the pandemic-caused impacts to suppliers and inspection offices in different jurisdictions with different COVID-19 mandates, I’m sure it was a nightmare. Still, I wish communications and coordination could have been more timely. But job-well done at the end of the day. The wait was worth it.

    I wanted to take some time to give some nice feedback on a recent experience I had with AES.While we did not end up going with them (we ultimately ended up deciding against our project all together), we did find that out of all the builders we met with they were the most upfront and honest about what to expect along the way.Stephen L. was professional throughout and was very honest on what we should expect in terms of pricing and the extra (what Ill call no fun) costs we could expect before we were to break ground on any home renovations (e.g. permits, county requirements as it pertains to being up to code, etc).I found that they were telling us this ahead of any contract signing and ultimately baked in these costs into the initial estimates given which I found to be helpful. Of the other three to four contractors that we met with, none of them had mentioned these extra costs and I would only imagine they would have come up after the fact.This professional courtesy was greatly appreciated and I would entrust them with our business should we decide to move forward with any future home renovation projects down the line.I would recommend them to anyone looking into a home renovation, obviously do your due diligence and explore other builders, but be sure to include AES in that hunt so you can see the difference for yourself.

    AES was fantastic at every step along the way. This was my first significant renovation project, and it was a major one. My wife and I interviewed companies with trepidation.
