Its been a year since RWK destroyed the back of our house, excavated a precise pit at the rear foundations, and built the most beautiful kitchen, interior stairs, pantry, half bathroom, laundry room, and mud room in its place.They were responsive, flexible, honest, conscientious, and responsible. Their foreman knew everything and everyone -and everyone we met with talked about his character and integrity.Youd think, for all that, they would also be the most expensive company. They were not. Furthermore, all costs were laid out, updated as needed, and totaled at each agreed-upon point.Did everything turn out perfectly and unicorns painted rainbows over our heads? No. It was a major remodel on a house, for Petes sake. RWK (mostly our foreman) addressed any and all concerns, however -even the few that may have been our fault (say, like a poor decision of flooring).I recommend them to everyone. Job well done, guys.

Based on the recommendation of my long-term plumber, I chose RWK Construction for my recent upstairs remodel. I previously had less than ideal experiences with contractors so was quite reluctant to move forward with a much-needed update of my home. RWK began by providing a detailed estimate with costs for each step. No overall bid with no idea of individual costs! I was able to evaluate the estimate and identify areas that I wanted to change. Changes, including costs, were tracked through a Change Order that was sent to me for approval. RWK uses a wonderful site called Buildertrend where I could track every step of my remodel! I always knew which craftspeople to expect and when any changes were made. My PM was Jeff who kept the site updated and patiently explained to me, sometimes more than once, how construction works. Jeff is amazingly attentive to detail and constantly checked that the subs had done as planned; he made sure what they did was what I was paying for. My friends with remodeling experience were shocked that my whole upstairs remodel was completed in 3 months! I wholeheartedly recommend RWK Construction and I hope to use their services again next year when I proceed with my basement remodel.

We had a great experience working with RWK. Jeff, our contractor, took care of everything and always adjusted well whenever roadblocks cropped up. The original timeframe to complete our home remodel was 2 months. They finished in 2 months and 2 weeks. Pretty good in by my estimation. They also came in 10% below the original quote. Couldn’t be happier with the service and the results!

We did our basement with RWK and are very happy with the finished product, and the process along the way! We’ve done lots of house projects over the years with contractors and working with RWK was by far the easiest experience. Taylor manged our project and he was extremely on top of things, communicative, and easy to work with. He managed everything so thoroughly and got the project done well and on time. We really appreciated his attention to detail, it made a huge difference with everything turning out the way we hoped. Taylor managed and oversaw every step, we did a basement entryway, kitchen, guest room and bathroom, built-ins, a weight room, and storage room. If we need more work done in the future we’ll use RWK again!

Highly recommend RWK. I’ve dealt with some real construction nightmares so honestly I didn’t expect much, but their overall communication and workmanship really set a high bar. Jeff was my PM and is fantastic. He is a great liaison between the customer and the workers to ensure things are getting done correctly. All the workers who showed up were respectful and did what they said they would, when they said they’d do it. They even allowed my little guy to “help” with some projects, which he absolutely loved and made him feel like a real construction worker haha. They are great at providing an overall schedule so you have more of an idea of what to expect, and where you’re at in the project. In my opinion, they’re as close to a white glove service as you can get for home construction.

I dont leave a whole lot of reviews, but I had to post about our amazing experience with RWK Construction, especially working with our superhero project manager, Jeff. Our basement was fully finished a couple decades ago and done very poorly, so the job for RWK was to gut it back to the foundation and start over. They also upgraded our house to higher amp electrical service and built a new basement walkout entrance. This was a huge job, and from gut to move-in was about 3 months. The crews and subs were amazing to work with, very conscientious and clean. Jeff ran a nice tight schedule throughout and stayed on top of everything. His communication skills are top notch, we always knew what was happening and what was coming up. Change orders arise on any construction job, and ours were all handled in as smooth and painless a manner as possible. I recommend RWK every time someone talks about a remodel or basement finish. In fact, were getting a new estimate on some work we want to do on the main floor now.

We had our kitchen and Bathroom remodeled from floor to ceiling, and our front room extensively updated .We were made aware of every step, from their help with planning to completion . Jeff was available for any questions we had and supervised all work to a fault. He ensured that everything was nothing but quality and well done. Jeff the project manager was a pleasure to work with. Im happy to report that RWK Construction remodeled our basement this spring and summer. We just finished and signed off yesterday, Tuesday, August 8, 2023. My wife and I are thrilled with the workmanship provided by RWK and the relationship we have developed with our project manager (Claudio) during this time period. We didnt rush into this remodel...we actually secured bids from 4 other contractors and tried to get bids from 2-3 others but they did not respond. It took us some time to make a decision, and we changed our mind on several items before we agreed on the contract and provided our down payment.We had to delay the start of construction due to trip plans to see our daughter and family, but when we returned Claudio provided us with the project plan, and we were off and running. It took longer than we anticipated, but this was unavoidable due to scheduling of cabinets. We discovered that MOST of the quality cabinet manufacturers were backlogged 8-10 weeks after placing the order. Some were even backlogged 1-2 years.Our project manager, Claudio, was incredible. Even when we discovered he would be off for some time with the birth of his second child he made sure someone was in touch with us every day. I cant say enough to express the gratitude we felt knowing our concerns were being heard and addressed. And the subcontractors were every bit as helpful in addressing our needs.I would recommend RWK Construction along with Claudio and the subcontractors without hesitation for anyone looking at remodeling parts of their home and having a good quality job done.

All I can say is wow! As a professional commercial interior designer, I had set my expectations very high on what our vision would be for our basement. RWK, specifically Jeff Rogers and team not only met those expectations but far exceeded them. He and his team were professional, fabulous communicators, and very fun to work with. From day one, they set an expectation with us that communication would be always flowing; that never stopped. We appreciated that a solution was always found whenever an obstacle occurred. They followed the budget as close as possible. If there was any deviation from that budget, it was communicated right away before any work was done. The quality of work is outstanding! After the final cleaning, I walked into our basement and almost cried. They made my vision come to life! I can’t wait to make fun new memories with my family and friends in our new basement!

RWK has my heart, they were phenomenal to work with. Ryan, Vince and James were very professional always available to talk and extremely knowledgeable about everything. Vince was our project manager and he was amazing, he was always available even on personal vacations. He made sure we were always happy and when something wasn’t available he was great at finishing us other options. I was skeptical when I saw they had 4.9 stars but I took the leap and gave them and try and I have 0 regrets. They showed up and got the job done, when we had time issues for permits they were always informative and persistent. Vince came out often to check on progress and to make sure every job done was done to only the highest standard. I would use and recommend RWK to anyone and everyone. It’s cliche but because of Vince, Ryan and RWK in general we got a basement beyond what we could’ve imagined!

We loved working with RWK for our basement finishing project. Their quality of work is excellent and we are so happy with our new basement! Home renovations can be a chaotic process, so we really appreciated being able to work with a project manager to handle the juggling and timing of all of the projects and communication with subcontractors. Claudio was our project manager and he was on top of things, an excellent communicator, and great to work with. When things inevitably came up, Claudio was always upfront about options and price so that we would feel in control.Our new bathroom looks amazing and we are jealous of our guests who would use it more than us, and we are super excited to start decorating our movie room. We also redid our stair railings and replaced the carpet of the stairs that leads down to the basement and it made SUCH a huge difference in updating the space. Highly recommend working with them!

We are SO glad we decided to go with RWK! They finished our basement and did some repairs and remodeling on our main floor. We got multiple bids and met with quite a few other contractors before choosing RWK and we havent regretted that decision once. Wed previously had a negative experience with someone we hired to do some work on our house, which made us wary. RWK really seems to understand and appreciate what a big deal it is to trust them with your home. They were respectful of our time, our property, and our budget. Our project manager, Taylor, is AWESOME. He was great at keeping us in the loop, answering questions, and promptly dealing with anything that came up. Our project had some small hiccups, like all projects do, but everything was handled well. We were impressed with all of the subs - theyre professional, do quality work, and are just all around great people. Weve already recommended RWK to family, friends, and neighbors. Were looking forward to working with RWK again for phase II of our renovation! Theyre the BEST.

I can’t recommend RWK enough! We will definitely use them again for future renovations. I love that they use an app so I can see which subcontractors are coming each day and could also pay invoices. Our project manager Taylor was so helpful and gained our trust immediately. He was very protective of our budget! When the electrician asked if we wanted a dimmer switch I said sure. Taylor made sure nothing was changed until a quote was in the app for me to approve. In the end, they finished the project under budget! Taylor’s help made all the difference for us and we are so grateful we had him on our team. Even our kids would get excited when his truck pulled up because he would take the time to explain things to them and answer their random questions. We LOVE our basement and it went from being wasted space to the most used space in our home. Thank you Taylor and RWK!

We had a small room and two tiny bathrooms remodeled into two large bathrooms and a walk-in closet. RWK Construction was a dream to work with. From the quote process to the big and little finishing details, they were consistently professional and reliable. Taylor, our project manager was excellent at communicating with us daily. We always knew what was happening each day and what to expect. We always knew when someone would be in our house, which was nice because we were living there during the construction. The whole project, including the payments, were scheduled out on an app we could access anytime, which was very helpful because it helped us know deadlines for picking things out like; flooring, carpet, fixtures, etc. Their pricing was middle if the line for the bids we collected, but their work, organization, and professionalism was top of the line.The bathrooms turned out beautiful and the closet is amazing. We highly recommend RWK!

I sought out several estimates before I started my basement remodel. RWK wasnt the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. I chose them because they had recently worked on my sons basement remodel, and I was impressed with their work and professionalism on his job. I have a 72 year old home and my basement looked like it may have originally been remodeled in the late 50s. With something that old, I expected that we would run into a few surprises, but luckily that turned out not to be the case. I did have a very old and possibly unsafe electrical system that I chose to have upgraded, and this wasnt included in the original bid. If it werent for that, I would have actually come in slightly less than what was originally budgeted, which was a pleasant surprise. I had Vince as my project manager, and he did a great job of coordinating all the subs and also managing my anxiety throughout the process. The job was finished 4 weeks past the original completion estimate, but that wasnt a surprise to me. We had delays due to weather, vacations (mine), holidays, and general life events. I dont think much could be done to change that. I recommend you check out RWK if you are considering a basement remodel. (I just realized that the attached photos were taken prior to the final punch list completion. Please ignore the blue tape and uncovered vent.)

He is the reason we will be using RWK for future projects- after we enjoy our new space a bit:)There was nothing too small to ask him and he was thorough in execution on timelines and commitments. Never did we get excuses of suppliers or subcontractors not performing even through the holidays. We got our keys on 11/1 and pre coordinated and they had lumber delivered the next day with workers downstairs the same week. When I started seeing all the 5 star reviews I was a little skeptical, naturally. However, the first time I met Ryan, I knew immediately he stood out as a professional contractor compared to others we had met with. He was very professional and prompt. After receiving multiple quotes, we ultimately went with RWK. As soon as we signed the agreement, items started flowing in, our lumber was delivered 2 days ahead of schedule and we maintained the schedule throughout. The app they use to track who’s coming and going and change orders was awesome. Let me tell you, we were assigned a Project Manager upfront, Riley, he was simply put, AWESOME! Of course we had a few hiccups along the way, that’s construction! But, Riley was there every step of the way to help us navigate through these things. We had a text thread for my wife and myself that was a great easy way to communicate. Due to my schedule, I travel almost weekly for business, so Riley was great to accommodate me and my time zone challenges. We would get on FaceTime and walk through any concerns or issues that needed addressed with subs or in general. If Riley wasn’t going to be available on certain days, he would send us the number of his fill in for the day if anything were to arise, Ryan was also available anytime. RWK’s subs were also easy to work with along the way. I never felt there was a concern if they were in my home while we weren’t there. All-in-all, I would highly recommend RWK, and already have to many others. For an idea of scope of our project, we did a full basement with HVAC, kitchenette, multiple bathrooms, laundry, multiple bedrooms, gym space, under stairs area, large recreation area and a hidden AV room where all wiring and gaming systems are stored in about 3 months and right on budget! This was no small task, but it looks amazing and we are beyond pleased with the results. I chose RWK to finish my basement and build a mudroom bench. My experience with RWK from start to finish was excellent. The price I was quoted and the ending price was nearly identical, big props to Ryan for avoiding any overages.I was assigned Aaron as my project manager and he was outstanding. Aaron texted me every morning to let me know what the plan was for each day and was very quick to respond to my countless questions. He was very hands on with each of the contractors and I never felt that I was isolated on an island. I had a few nitpicks along the way but he was always willing to accommodate until I was happy with the finished product. Having confidence that no matter what issues arise theyre going to get taken care of in the end by RWK is priceless.I learned quite a bit along the way. If I was to finish another basement I might try being my own general contractor to save a little money but if youre looking for a low-stress, high quality product, then I cant imagine theres a better choice than RWK.

Our job was finishing our 1200 sq ft, unfinished basement. We were a little hesitant to begin work with RWK as their bid came in a bit higher than the other bids we received. But after going through the whole process, we definitely made the right choice! Our PM Jeff was unfailing in his commitment to our project, providing constant communication about what was happening and helping us through difficult decisions. He routinely pulled in stake holders and experts to ensure we had all the information to make informed decisions. He went above and beyond, working after hours and always with his positive attitude. He was abso-fruitly awesome! This man needs a raise!!Providing a bid is a difficult job as estimates can often differ from the actual cost. We had 1 line item in the bid that turned out to be far lower than the actual cost. However, RWK took accountability and worked with us to ensure we found a solution that worked for all parties. The job actually ended up being less overall than the initial bid which I didnt think would be possible! Cannot say enough about the customer service of this company!All of the work was excellent and any issues that came up were rectified extremely fast. Our basement looks amazing, and it only took about 3 months to finish everything. I didnt think it was possible to find a company that could get 5 stars in their integrity, craftsmanship, communication, speed, and effort but RWK is that company. If you have a job, then you will be in good hands with RWK and definitely ask for Jeff!

RWK did a wonderful job with our basement finishing project and our project manager, Jeff, definitely earned above and beyond these 5 stars! He had our project scheduled out to the end from the day we signed the contract and kept everything on or ahead of schedule for the entire project. His communication with us was amazing both with their app and with direct text message updates. We always knew what to expect, what we needed to be doing, and could get all of our questions answered any time. Jeff also did an amazing job keeping our project on budget and we even ended up coming in under budget at the conclusion of our project. Jeff always made us feel like a valued and important part of the process. He was happy to share great insights and suggestions all along the way and include our whole family in our home transformation (even showing and explaining for the kids). The subs he scheduled for our home were all fabulous! Everyone who came was polite and considerate of our space both inside and outside our home and were definitely experts in their fields. We loved that our home never looked like a construction site-RWK handled periodic garbage removal without a dumpster and those working on our home were always professional and mindful of us and our neighbors even on our small street. We have now used RWK twice. They finished our basement last year (its beautiful and holding up super well!) and this year we had them come out and do an office install (cabinets, paint, frame in new french doors, electrical in cabinets, etc.) and add some finishing touches to our living room (built ins and shiplap on the fireplace). They are fabulous! Ryan is an honest outstanding guy who we trust and would use time and time again. For this particular project, James was our project manager and he was outstanding! He would text me each morning asking if I had questions or concerns, he kept me up to date on scheduling, he went to bat for me when I had issues with subcontractors, and was patient with my picky self. He was always available when needed, stopped by often to check in on things and is a very personable guy. The project went longer than expected, but a lot of that was my fault in wanting particular materials that werent in stock and wanting things perfect. Short version: Working with RWK was a dream. We were blown away with how fast and professional every step of the process was, from before we were customers to after we were paid in full. We will be recommending them to anyone who needs a project finished.Long version: My wife and I set out to build an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU or Mother In-Law) as an attachment to our home. We have zero experience with this and had no idea where to start. After cold calling contracts and construction companies it felt like there was no way we could get this project done and might just need to find a new house that already had one built in so that we could take care of my mom. That was until we happened to call RWK and set a phone appointment with James to discuss our project. James was extremely helpful and gave us the right direction of what we needed to do. He gave us a ton of recommendations and never felt like those recommendations were for his company’s benefit. He suggested that we hire an architect / designer first, to create the plans that would then make it easier for us to send to contractors to bid out the project. He even recommended one they worked with. We called around and booked a few appointments with designers that all either fell through or who didn’t do what their company said they did. You know who showed up, was fairly priced and even started working on it right away once they arrived? They guy RWK recommended (of course). Once we had the plans drawn up and structural engineering done, we sent the plans over to a bunch of companies and contractors, including RWK. Once all of the bids were back (or not back after companies ghosted us), RWK’s bid fell right where we needed it to. It wasn’t the cheapest (the cheapest company was a nightmare to communicate with) and they weren’t the most expensive (another company was 100K over the median bid), but it felt like it was fair for where the market is right now.So we accepted the bid and hoped to start right away. Once the weather was right (wildest winter in Utah’s history), workers showed up with a bulldozer and before we knew it, there was a foundation and then a frame, and then a roof and then siding and all of a sudden there was a new ADU in our backyard! Eric, our project manager was a complete professional and as easy a person to work with as we’ve ever met. He was clear with what was happening and how it was going to happen, helped us with our choices, gave us honest opinions when issues came up and found creative solutions when we needed them. Every person he sent us to (cabinet design, flooring, carpet etc.) was equally on point and easy to work with. For people like us who have zero knowledge of building and construction, he always made us feel comfortable that everything was going to go right and be what we needed it to be. He even helped us with things in our existing house that weren’t even a part of the project!! Our neighbors kept telling us how amazed they were how fast everything went up. It was such an amazing experience working with RWK on a super emotionally charged project; building a space for my mother to move into so that we could take care of her. As I’m typing this today, my mother is happily sitting in her brand new, beautifully built, 850 sq ft ADU while we know that we’re just a few steps away to take care of her needs. RWK knocked this project out of the park and we couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to work with them.

We requested a bid to finish our basement in August 2020 and Ryan responded quickly to schedule an in-person meeting. After getting another bid, we chose RWK due to 1) other reviews and 2) price. James was assigned as our project manager, and about half way thru the project we were switched to Jeff to manage the completion of our job. Both James and Jeff were responsive, knowledgable and attended to the details of our project. We opted for some upgrades, and Jeff was very accomodating. We finished up our basement around the end of November, and love being able to spend the holidays in our new basement. RWK is not the typical contractor. The regular check-ins, good communication on upcoming work to be completed, and the can do attitudes set RWK apart from the others.

Hands down, RWK exceeded our expectations for our basement remodel and would pick them again in an instant for another future project. We obtained three bids after asking around for referrals. He asked questions the other bidders did not, provided some input/suggestions that greatly improved our design, and really sold us on the entire process (including the idea of a focused project manager). We had been planning a major renovation on our house. We got bids from three companies, and went and saw renovations that these companies had completed. We were very impressed by the finished renovations and feedback from former RWK Clients. We were also impressed by RWKs quick return of their bid. We decided to go with RWK and were lucky to have Jeff Rogers assigned as our Project Manager. Jeff has proven to be a consummate Professional throughout this long process. Jeff met with us several times to help us with our massive project. Jeff created a timeline of the construction process which was followed very accurately. As with any major construction project there were unforeseen issues and mishaps along the way. Jeff did an excellent job in addressing these issues and solving the problems to our satisfaction. Jeff used wonderful subcontractors who did an excellent job and treated us and our home with respect. We are very happy with the way our renovation has turned out. Jeff has also been very diligent in following up with the subcontractors in completing their jobs and scheduling them to come back for needed touchups. Jeff was in daily contact with us to keep us up to date on the renovation. RWK did a great job on our home. We highly recommend RWK. They have taken great care of us. RWK! That is the only company name we remember now and moving forward. They are soooo good! When we started out with the idea of finishing out basement we had numerous contractors come out and provide us with a bid. RWK not only gave us the most clear idea by providing line by line items of how much things would cost/allowances and being straight forward- there were no gimmicks. They also were the quickest to return a bid and most fairly priced for what we wanted and got. From the beginning of the project we were provided a professional contract and time line. It went exactly how they said it would. We had ideas in mind of what we wanted and both Ryan and Trevor (who worked directly with us from start to finish on the project) provided us with even better ideas than we thought about. Trevor was the person we worked with mostly as he was assigned to our project and he is so amazing! We had excellent communication throughout our project and always knew when and what was happening in our home. He made us feel at ease and comfortable. We got to do the fun part and just pick out the things we liked. He made sure everything was taken care of to the last detail- nothing slipped the cracks- I appreciate that sooo much! RWK is the business to go to if you are ever considering a remodel or finishing a structure to your home. We first used RWK in 2017 when deciding to flesh out our unfinished basement. It was the experience they provided us at that time with their ability to deliver great communication, meet deadlines, stay within budget, and perform exceptional work that caused us to anxiously seek them out to renovate the first floor of our home this year (2023). It was apparent upon contacting them that RWK had significantly grown since the last time we used them as they now had a full-time project manager (Claudio, who is the epitome of customer service) that was assigned to walk us through the entire process from beginning to end. The work they did included tearing out carpet, wooden floor, and linoleum, removing base boards, kitchen cabinets, plumbing, sliding back door, etc., and replacing it with all new, superior material. Sometimes, along the way, we would change our minds and add things we wanted (e.g., lights, ceiling fans, granite countertops, etc.), and RWK was always open to changes as they wanted to ensure we were getting what we wanted. They would advise us if or how these changes would affect the budget each time we would do this. If there were ever questions or concerns we had along the way, Claudio was consistently speedy to respond and ensure we were happy and satisfied with the service we were getting. In short, the highly involved process of renovating the first floor of our house concluded on time, under budget, and with exceptional results. In the end, our expectations were exceeded, and we couldnt be more grateful for Ryan and Claudio and those who they contracted with to help make this happen. We would HIGHLY recommend RWK without reservation.

We used RWK to remodel all of our bathrooms and we loved the experience and the results! We found RWK from Google search results and noticed how highly rated they were in comparison to other companies in Utah. When they came to our house to estimate the work and offer a bid they were very thorough and quick! It took us weeks to get bids from other companies. And although their bid wasnt the cheapest it wasnt the most expensive either, and we were just so impressed with how efficient they were and how high their Google reviews that we decided to go with RWK!Im sure all of their project managers are great, but working with Taylor was one of our favorite things about the process! He checks in every morning to see if you have any concerns or questions. He was very responsive and in some instances he was at our house with a drill or saw in hand to fix it. And on top of that hes just a fun and good DUDE to be around.Some other things to make quick note of that made RWK great to work with. We liked that payments were scheduled and full payment wasnt needed upfront. We liked that they used an app to share schedule updates for when contractors were coming. We also appreciated with how flexible they were, so when we needed to pivot on some design changes they were able to accommodate.We love our new bathrooms and loved the RWK experience. Well miss Taylors daily texts but maybe in a couple of years well use RWK for a new home theater room and a sun room without question!

We hired RWK Construction to replace all our interior doors, floorboards, and redo our master bathroom.First, the not as good: we didnt love the paint job. That being said, they made the painters come back and repaint and/or fix anything we were unhappy about. Turning a negative into a positive was a huge deal, and were very grateful for that.Im not used to remodeling, so I dont know if its normal, but a lot of the subcontractors, especially framers and drywall, were pretty messy and we had to clean up after them.Now, the good: our foreman, Taylor, was amazing. He checked in with us practically every day, made sure we were aware of what was going on, was an awesome advocate for us. He also always made sure we were taken care of, satisfied, and happy. MVP of the whole thing by far.Most of the work was done to our satisfaction and beyond, it was a fair and good price, and they made our house more beautiful and valuable.One of the best things I can say about them is that I plan to recommend them to anyone and everyone, as well as hire them again when we (eventually) remodel our kitchen.

From the very beginning, our interaction with RWK was probably the best, most positive experience working with any company. A short backstory. After my husband and I moved into our newly built house this past December, we were kicking ourselves for not having the basement finished during the build. So naturally we wanted to have it finished and fast but with the highest quality. We reached out to a few different contractors early January. One came out gave us a quote, said that he wouldn’t be able to do everything such as install flooring then informed us that he couldn’t get started until June. Another company didn’t even call us back. Then there was RWK. James was our first contact with RWK and right away we were struck by how professional and personable he was. He came to our house, listen to our thoughts and ideas, took notes, and took the time to measure our basement. He gave us some ideas, told us what would make sense, and then gave us the most exciting news of all - they could get started in two weeks. He had us at that point. Not only that, my husband and I felt that the level of professionalism and knowledge was enough to enter into contract with RWK. Contracts concern me sometimes because they can be lengthy with a lot of language I don’t understand. Ryan provided us with a contract which was very transparent with no hidden fees or small print to muddle through. The price breakdown sheet was very clear and easy to understand which is something I can fully appreciate. We then met with our project manager Taylor, who did not disappoint on any level. Taylor was also very professional and personable and easy to work with. He walked us through the entire process start to finish, he kept us apprised of any issues that crept up, and allowed for my husband and I to be the decision makers for resolving those issues, which there weren’t many. That was pretty much all my husband and I had to do (that and write the checks ;-). RWK took care of everything even the cleanup. All of the various contractors were very respectful of our home and did fantastic work. Overall we were are totally pleased with our interaction with RWK and we are in love with our new basement. If you were wondering how long it took, construction started January 24, 2022 and wrapped up April 12, 2022. Huge thank you to the RWK team.

Were very happy with the work that RWK has accomplished in our basement. We especially like the playhouse they built out for us underneath the stairs. To avoid going into details, some of these bumps were caused by subcontractors, and others by RWK themselves... And some admittedly by ourselves :/We had expressed our frustrations and concerns to Ryan (the owner) and were impressed with how quickly he responded to us to make things right. And those amends definitely made up for the strife.At the end of the day, we can hardly remember the bad times. Just finished our basement finishing project. Very pleased with the final result. The process was a bit of a nightmare at times, but I dont fault RWK for all of that. We chose a good time (pandemic, rising prices, high demand and low supply, etc.) to start the project. Ended up twice as long as originally planned and it was definitely a rocky start... That said, however, Ryan was responsive, open to our feedback, quick to address concerns we expressed, and in the end did everything to make sure we felt fairly treated.Project started off with not much in the way of project management. I brought the issue up to Ryan who was quick to respond and address the issue. Our new project manager, Henry, responded quickly to our questions and whenever we noted issues from any of the subs work. He made sure we were pleased with each step and brought back the subs as many times as was needed to make everything perfect, and even stepped in to do things himself, as needed, to move things along. Jeff was an awesome construction manager for our project. RWK helped us finish a 1750 sq ft basement with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 walk-in closets, 1 laundry, walk-in pantry, private entrance, kitchen, dining, and living spaces all within 4 months. Scheduling was accurate and on point. Jeff sent us texts every morning and kept us updated. He answered all my questions in a timely manner and followed up on open items that we needed to address. The subs were generally friendly and respectful. Some notified us before shutting off power or water, some didnt. But overall, a good experience with almost all the subs that came through our home.One item I would suggest for improvement for RWK is the quoting process. We requested to match everything upstairs for the basement (flooring, cabinets, walls, countertops, etc.) and to give us the worst case estimate in terms of cost. The plan was to let RWK know what we want, and they would let us know what we need, and from there we can decide what to keep and what to remove from the quote. We later found that the quote reflected basic flooring and quartz countertops when we requested higher end flooring and countertops to match what we had upstairs. Because we requested worst case in terms of cost, we thought the estimate would include things like underlayment and/or concrete self-leveling which are pretty basic needs for installing LVP/laminate in a basement. The plan included 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry, kitchen, dining, etc. and given that, we thought the quoting process would involve assessing whether a new electrical panel/line to the main power would be needed. It was just rough to find out months after the quoting process that we needed to spend an additional several thousand $ on several needed things in addition to being able to support the power output of the basement (nothing about our basement layout or power needs changed).BUT, given the quoting hiccup, RWK did come through. I do understand that there are a lot of things that can happen when it comes to finishing a basement and nothing is ever 100% known upfront. Things can get missed and I do appreciate the choices that RWK presented along the process of construction when things came up. The quality of their work shows, thanks to Jeff. He did not allow any little issue slip through the cracks and he was amazing at tying loose ends and wrapping up the project until full completion.I do want to thank RWK for their understanding and patience with us as we sort out finances towards the end of the project. They are an organized and professional company to work with. Jeff is super knowledgeable and friendly. If I were to complete another basement, Id love to have Jeff help us again. Thank you for all your hard work and attention to detail!

We had RWK do our basement finishing on a modest budget. Our General Contractor was active and had good communication and did his best to make sure our wants and needs were met and within our budget. The work quality was good and when something didnt match what we wanted they promptly corrected it with no affect on our budget. It was also done very timely and with little to inconvenience on our end. The only frustration wasnt even RWKs issue. The subcontractors could be kind of flakey, albeit good quality. Because of their issues scheduling, expectations of exactly what is booked on the project calendar should be mitigated as it could change on a whim. That being said, would use RWK again. Claudio, our general contractor, is the reason we enjoyed our service.

RWK Construction really exceeded our expectations. We wanted to finish our basement, but we weren’t ready to do the project ourselves. We received multiple bids and after meeting with all the companies and receiving quotes, the choice was an easy one. Ryan seemed honest and easy to work with.After speaking to Ryan, Taylor was assigned to be our project manager. He was fantastic and we had daily communication through text and calls with him about the plans for the day and week. There is also a calendar in their app that lists when subs are coming. They worked well with the subs and they all came when expected. If we ever had a problem, Taylor would address it immediately and provide us with an answer. Ryan was also available to us through the project if needed, but we rarely spoke with him because Taylor was so attentive. If we found any issues (big or very tiny) Taylor took them seriously and made sure we were 100% happy.One of our favorite things about the process is the subs enter into basement through a window (framers, dry wall, all of it!). It was nice to not have to worry when to be home and have others coming in an out. There were many days we had no idea they were there. The subs we did meet were respectful and we could tell they value their relationship with RWK.We have been so pleased have referred others to use them as well. Our basement is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier.We felt like Ryan and Taylor really valued our wants and opinions and did everything in their power to make us happy. We had heard stories of contractors being difficult, but we truly experienced the opposite. We would use them again without any thought!

We got our quote and mock up of the basement in a very timely manner. We were told the project would take 3 months to complete. From there, we put down the initial deposit and were introduced to our project manager Jeff Rogers.To say that Jeff was the best part of our experience would be an understatement! He was very communicative, helpful and nice. He is truly wonderful at his job. Each morning we got a text update from him with what to expect for that day and the timing. We were always in the loop with the progress the whole time. Jeff covered every question and thought of everything. What sort of lights we wanted, what tile, even down the the grout color. We never had to stress or worry about what was being done or who was doing what.Jeff scheduled professional contractors who did a fantastic job at being respectful of our house while getting their work done efficiently. He also handled all the permits with the city. Overall, this was the best experience we have ever had working with a construction company.Our basement finished a month ahead of schedule. My husband and I decided it was time to get our basement done. Its a huge undertaking and just getting quotes is such a hassle. We met with a few other contractors before meeting with RWK so we knew what to expect and what to look for and what to examine when comparing quotes. After James from RWK came out we were instantly excited about this company. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting with James. My husband liked him and he doesnt like anybody! James made sure we knew that RWK wasnt going to be the cheapest or the most expensive but the quality of their work is unmatched. We ended up hiring RWK and Im so glad we did. I couldnt even imagine going through this construction process with any other company. We were assigned our very own project manager, Jeff, who we absolutely adore! He was amazing and never made us feel like we were asking too much with all of our design changes or when wed text him at 10pm (haha, sorry Jeff). Jeff was available to us any and every time we reached out to him. He made this 10 week basement finishing so easy and so seamless! Another thing we loved about RWK is the app that they use. The construction schedule is on there so we were able to know in real time who was going to be at the house and when. Weve had times with other companies (patio builders, fence companies, landscapers, etc) where we had no idea who was coming or when. With RWK its all planned out ahead of time and the schedule didnt change. Everyone was always on time and very respectful of our property. It was very refreshing! RWK finished our basement we asked that they match the design of the upstairs and I was blown away with how it turned out. It looks amazing!!! Ryan and his team were quick and did a great job in every aspect. Ryan was easy to talk to and willing to make changes that came up during the work and was willing to go the extra mile to make it the way we wanted. I would recommend them to anyone. Use RWK and you will not be disappointed

Ryan Koller at RWK Construction recently finished a Mother-in-Law apartment in the home we recently purchased. It was the best experiences Ive had with a contractor doing work on our homes. We had Ryan and team finish our basement, put in a fireplace upstairs as well as new carpet throughout the whole house. If you are looking to have any basement work done please save your time and only make one phone call to Ryan from RWK construction. He is the most honest and ethical contractor you will find. When we looked at getting multiple bids for our basement, Ryan was the only one who broke out line by line what each item cost as well as being upfront on what he makes on the project. All other quotes had zero transparency from other contractors. Ryan and his whole crew were very professional and finished the project way ahead of what they promised us. I know many of you probably look at these reviews and think they are made up or paid for. I had the same thought. Rest assured, after just getting everything complete, I now know why he has such amazing reviews. I couldn’t recommend Ryan more and you seriously won’t find a better contractor who communicates as well as he does and cares about making customers happy. Oh and the quality of work is outstanding.
