Brad and his crew came out the next day after I called about no water. I truly appreciated his calm manor and simple explanations as to what and why. Their hard work and pleasant nature put me at ease and gave me confidence in their abilities- job well done! I would 100% recommend this company and will to all who ask- fourth generation, locale boys that use American made parts- satisfaction guaranteed!

They rearranged their schedule to respond to a well pump issue. Was greatly impressed by their communication, showed up on time and were very diligent about their work, took extra care to install additional tape and zip ties along the entire length of the well piping. I don’t believe I would have seen another contractor do as well of a job on the spicing and taping of connections especially under the the inclement weather. 10/10 on service, pricing and professionalism.

McDowells came ASAP when our well stopped working. They mentioned a potential additional issue with the hot water heater, but with no pressure at all - it didnt feel like they were upselling. When we decided to replace the hot water heater, they gave great advice. While I hope not to have to work with them in the future, I know who I will go to if I need a plumber.

I just cannot say enough about the professional service provided by this company. They came out the day after I called and somehow “fit me in” even though they had several calls that day. The well pump had “expired” and the two brothers, Andrew and Mike, diagnosed the problem within minutes. They hand-pulled the pump up which was 207’ down, replaced it with a new one and did several other things to ensure I wouldn’t have additional problem. You could tell they were experts at what they were doing. Highly recommend this company without reservations!

I have used McDowell Plumbing at both of our homes in the North East/ Elkton area and this family run and owned business, treats even strangers like family. Not only will they do first class, professional work, but they also are friendly, clean, reasonable and fair. They have worked in my homes several times on several different projects over the years, and their quality of work is second to no one. They show up when they say they will and if you have an emergency they will bend over backwards to help you out. They have served Cecil County residents for four generations and Cecil County is very lucky to have these hard working, first class craftsmen. If you have any type of project in your home, you can’t go wrong by calling the McDowells…. I will never call anyone else!!
