    I have used Mark Fenella Construction on three major projects in my house and have always been distinctly pleased with the finished product. The first was the replacement of my roof. This was the first time I interacted with Mark as I did my due diligence by having three contractors out to give me estimates. Mark stood out by his detailed description of what he would do and the materials he would use. He provided top end materials and answered my questions before I needed to ask them. His price was negligibly different from the low-priced contractor who offered lesser quality roofing material. Mark was there and actively involved throughout the whole project. At the end there were no surprises, and the project was done well and on budget.The second project was the complete replacement of all the windows in my house. Again, I had three contractors out including representatives from the well-known window replacement companies for two different major window manufacturers. The prices provided by the representatives of the two window manufacturers were very high. Through Mark, I was able to select the specific brand name quality windows with the features that I wanted. In addition, I had Mark include the replacement of my front entry door. While the well-known window manufacturers only offered replacement windows, Mark offered removal of the old windows down to the studs and installing new frames, windows as well as interior and exterior trim. All this additional work came in significantly cheaper than the window manufacturers’ pricing for just replacing the existing windows with their prescribed replacement windows. The workmanship Mark provided was outstanding and raised the look of my home both inside and out.My third and most recent project was the installation of crown molding and baseboard throughout my house as well as the surrounds to five passageways in the house. Mark was very good at sharing his expertise in selecting the material sizes and profiles, all with an eye for their proportions and how they would fit with the house. This is a project where Mark was truly able to demonstrate his fine carpentry skills. His attention to detail is that which one attributes to an old-world craftsman. His mastery of modern power tools is matched by his honed skills of hand tools. It is a delight to see a craftsman at work. Mark does what is best for the job and not just what is acceptable. I watched him use his artistic master carpentry skills to make a piece look custom instead of ordinary.I have invested in Mark’s work three times and have been very pleased each time with the results. I have also recommended Mark to friends. He has been solidly consistent in his workmanship and has always left me with a superior finished product.

    My wife and I were referred to Mark by a flooring contractor. We are in the process of making renovations to our home including making 3 small bedrooms into 2 bigger bedrooms. Mark is responsive. Reliable. A great craftsman. His work is flawless. He makes great suggestions during the construction about adding lites, switches, walls, door openings, closet sizes. He even fixes areas that we didn’t think about! I highly recommend Mark. He’s a true professional.

    After seeing the amazing job Mark had done on a project for my parents, my wife and I contracted him to build a deck onto the back of our townhome. Mark is an amazing person to work with and is always very responsive, quickly returning a phone call or text. He takes the time to explain all aspects of your project, offering suggestions on certain design features while leveraging his decades of expertise. What truly sets Mark apart is his attention to detail. He is very meticulous and puts immense thought and care into every aspect of a project, big or small. It is clear he approaches each project as if he was building something for himself or his family. I would strongly recommend Mark for any project, especially if you want things done correctly and meticulously.

    Mark was referred to me when I was looking for a Carpenter to put together my center island in my kitchen. Mark is an old school no BS perfectionist. He is courteous, and very responsive. I never had to chase him down and he showed up on time, every time, and was incredibly clean and tidy. The quality of his finish work is incomparable and we are extremely fortunate to have him as a professional resource.

    Just moved into the Ringwood area and needed some carpentry work done. Found Mark on Google and could not be any happier with his terrific work and professionalism.     The crushed house on this website was real..a true before picture. It was my neighbors home when an entire oak tree fell on it. Mark was there within a few hours and helped secure home contents before weather could affect it. Mark then handled the job from takedown to foundation and then the rebuilding to a brand new house in the same footprint. At any point during the reconstruction, the job site was left neat and clean after each days work. Mark, and his subcontractors as needed, do excellent work and pay attention to detail. Mark just needs to post an after picture on this website to let all see his finished work on that project.That said, Mark had done multiple assorted jobs (both large and small) at my house for the past 3 decades. Hes replaced all of the windows and doors, installed skylights, re-roofed the house (where he found sub-roofing rot during the process and properly repaired), rebuilt the fireplace and chimney in conjunction with a mason, and helped with minor to moderate repairs that happen at all houses. But his most impressive job for me was he did my entire kitchen remodel down to studs and floor joists, moving walls, determine angles and curves that were appropriate for the room, and bringing in excellent sub-contractors as needed to make sure the job was done right. Mark has an artistic eye for what it should look like, articulates it, and then delivers on the minds picture. And every night, the floor was swept clean and often vacuumed, and the dust in the house was kept to an unbelievable low level for such a large project.I have had Mark do work at my parents house, and have highly recommended him to both friends and family, who have also been happy with Mark. Marks network of sub-contractors (plumbing, electrical, flooring, masonry, roofing, etc.) are people he trusts and have similar work ethics so no matter what the job, it will be done to a high standard of professionalism in the trades. Mark and his people are all master tradesmen in their fields, a difficult find in todays world.To sum it up, Mark is a highly skilled craftsman with great attention to detail and and obsessiveness to doing the job right the first time, and should be considered highly for your next job.

    Mark is a very professional and skilled! He was top notch when installing an entry door and some windows along with some trim. Craftsman like Mark are very hard to come by as he really takes pride in his work! I highly recommend and will be using him for a future kitchen renovation.

    Mark installed the railing for our back patio project, and in the past he built a deck for another person in our family. Hes an absolute straight arrow who gives truthful assessments of your project, whether doing so is in his favor or not. Hire him if you care about quality and value precision workmanship.     This was my first time working with Mark and I couldnt be more pleased with how everything turned out. When I read the other reviews, it seemed like a no-brainer but it just got better upon seeing his work first-hand and getting to know him a bit while on the job. You know right away that Mark falls into that hes good people category; hes honest, professional, fair, courteous, friendly, communicative, on-time, etc. I was in over my head building a large shed with a steep pitch roof and had to throw in the towel and call in a pro to put the roof on for me. Mark and his team came in, cleaned up some of my mistakes and did an awesome job. Hes got great attention to detail. If you have a project that needs to be done right at a fair price, I see no reason to keep hunting around - you found your guy. Give Mark a call.

    I had searched for someone to make a custom wood piece to replace on top of an Amish land swing that had rotted. I was referred to Mark. He called me on a Saturday, I met him that afternoon to give him the old piece and he called me the next morning Sunday that he was done and to meet to pick it up! I was so surprised. These days nobody does anything that quickly. The piece he made was perfect in all its detail. Mark even drilled the new screw holes and included the extra long screws needed. It’s very hard to find someone with the skills and professionalism we experienced. If you want the confidence of having a perfect job done, call Mark !

    Mark did a wonderful job replacing a skylight in our living room. He explained the steps he would take to do the installation and took pictures after each step. Mark took great care in making sure the inside view of the skylight looked perfect. He also call after a couple of heavy rain storms to make sure there were no leaks. We would definitely recommend Mark and look forward to using him in the future.

    In these times when artisans are struggling for work, Id like to write a recommendation For Mark Fanella. Although its been several years since he redid our kitchen, there is not a day that passes that I do not look at his work and admire his craftsmanship. From the earliest stages of the job to the final touch, everything was done with care, pride and even originality. Mark has also done some minor jobs for me, ones only I would know about, but again, done very precisely and professionally. Others Ive recommended him to, have said the same. For those who want a skilled artisan (and perhaps even a skilled artist) Mark is the one I recommend completely.

    I needed to replace a sliding glass door in my home. Mark was fantastic through the entire process. He helped me choose the right door and also helped me a get a great price on it.     Mark Fanella is a life saver. My wife and I were in very difficult position. We had a contractor fall though in the middle of our kitchen renovation. It was a very scary and troubling time. Luckily, we reached out to Mark for assistance and he was available. Mark was the utmost professional. He was able to complete the job. Not only did he complete it, but he made minor changes throughout the process which lead to greater finished product. Mark’s attention to detail, knowledge of his trade, and vision of completion are top notch. It was a pleasure to discuss and work with him throughout the entire process. Not to mention, like I said, we were in a very tough position. Mark could have financially took advantage of the situation, but of course he did not. Mark is a stand up guy, who cares about the job he does, and his passion for his trade is visualized upon completion. I would recommend Mark to anyone including my closest friends and family.     In a country where customer service has not been a priority, Mark Fanella Construction is an anomaly. The hands on experience working with MFC is refreshing and (if you have used a contractor in the past) an on-time and dedicated contractor is unique. He is on location when he is expected. Mark Fanella was always around to supervise every delivery including the dumpster. In my opinion, he is a master who takes pride in his work and he is a perfectionist. I enjoyed watching him work as he treats his workers with respect making sure they take breaks, eat and drink plenty of water. My project started easy but it became complicated quickly because of the age of the structure and it required unplanned rebuilding which this “can do” contractor handled with confidence. Mark’s “can do” attitude was a relief. In my opinion, you get what you pay for and if you are lucky enough to work with this construction company, you will not be disappointed. MFC is reasonably priced and delivered outstanding workmanship with a perfect end product on my project.

    Summer storm caused a branch to fall onto our house. Mark was referred by a friend and came out the next day to assess the situation. He even secured the roof so that no water would get in before he could get to us. Job is done beautifully and professionally. Really nice guy with an excellent work ethic.     Mark has done numerous projects at our house. His craftsmanship is undeniable. The molding he put around our house is seamless. We had uneven ceilings and bumpy walls, yet he made everything look straight and even. It transformed our home. He also has great contacts for plumbers and electricians that are fair and very experienced. He redid our entire bathroom that was a mess and made it look beautiful. He has also done duct work and fixed part of our roof. Each job was done with care and fixed all the issues I was concerned about. Not only is he skilled, but he is also professional, and he kept my house clean throughout the various projects he has done. I can not recommend Mark enough!!

    Highly recommended!!! Had to have a basement door replaced due to damage and Mark replaced it with a beautiful Andersen sliding door. Impeccably installed and was completed swiftly. Mark is a top-notch professional, and carted away old door. Very personable!!
