    Alex and his crew did a phenomenal job on painting our entire house and staining our back deck.They are not just a company that is looking to be in and out as quickly as possible. If the conditions arent correct, they dont perform the work. I have seen many companies paint when conditions are too wet or too hot, just to get to the next house. Alex and his crew do not do this. They do it the right way so you are not calling him back for fixes.They look into the details and repair items that will become issues later on, to make sure the end result is quality. They use quality products and perform the work all by hand.     We own a home that originated as a shipmaster’s warehouse in the 1700s. As such, the property comes with unique requirements for maintaining its historical charm while incorporating features to support modern living. Alex and his team at Green Mountain have consistently delivered custom carpentry and painting solutions of the highest quality, exceeding our expectations time and time again.From restoring 300-year-old windows to performing significant structural repairs to a corner of our first floor that had sustained years of water damage, Alex’s work continues to amaze us. Recently, Alex and his team built a custom secondary gate for the side entry of our property to provide additional security for keeping our dogs away from the street. The resulting structure matches the primary gate so well that it appears original.Alex has maintained superb communication before and during each job, keeping us informed about schedules and status. Additionally, he always follows up to ensure our satisfaction with the projects outcome. Its evident that he takes pride in his work, treating each project with a level of care and craftsmanship that is unparalleled in my experiences with other contractors. And as a final note, our dogs adore him, which is a huge plus in my book. :)

    I hired Alex + team to repair my deck that was in really bad shape. He came to take a look and we had a great conversation about ways to save the deck and extend its lifetime. He sent me a quote the same day with a great price. I had a few other companies come by but no one was nearly as interested in the job nor did anyone provide as good a quote. I decided to move forward with them and I’m glad I did! They went above and beyond - power washing, replacing damaged wood, tightening everything with deck screws, replacing the stairs entirely, and creating a new concrete landing for the stairs. They even fixed the gate to the staircase which I really appreciated. It’s really a night and day difference. Alex is great to work with - timely, good communication, and attentive to detail. Will use him again in the future and can’t recommend them highly enough. Check out the before and after pictures. It will look even better once stained!

    I have worked with Alex and his team now on 3 separate projects and each time he was professional, detail-oriented and a pleasure to work with. He really takes pride in his work and wont cut corners or do anything at less than 100%. For the first project, he painted the full exterior of a 2-family property and re-did some of the carpentry and support structures on the front porch. Second, he painted our master bedroom. And third, he replaced the old wood floor of our large deck with Azek trim and new railings. No matter the project, big or small, he always treated me as though I was his only customer. He is very quick to respond by text or phone, and he made several trips to different stores for me to show me different material options, complete with sending pictures. In addition, his prices are very competitive and reasonable. Alex will definitely be my go-to painter and carpenter on any future projects! I cannot recommend him highly enough!

    From the very start I found this business from the reviews here, so I found it important to leave one. I have never met Alex before calling him for this job. Nor do we have any body in life that know each other. I called Alex to install a highest quality entry door which was custom made from the #1 quality door maker in North America. Alex, noticed to quality from the start. The talk was direct, and was all about the ways he could install the door and care for the door while being installed, and the steps he would take to insure not a scratch or single tool mark would be seen when done. (Already different from the rest). As the next morning came he was on time at 7:30am. He took great care to plastic off the entryway and secure off a work area from the rest of the house which has 5 young children.attention to detail was made threw-out . No detail to small. Each and every step was first thought about, then done . He put a lot of meticulous work into the detail very carefully. He did this threw out the entire job. After day one was done he explained each thing he did and why he did it.. the next morning he was on time again to finish the trim inside and out. Again attention to detail, at every step of the way. I could not be happier. Pictures I find are worth more then words. If you do not contact Alex , yo doing a disservice to yourself. Honest ,respectable and down to the last detail. Price was. Dry fair and honest as well. He will be my carpenter for life!

    I am given Green Mountain Carpentry a five star review we just had our house scraped primed painted. They did an awesome job very particular extremely pleasant always on time very accommodating. I don’t think I could say enough about this team honestly. also anything that needed to be fixed whether it was replacing all rotted boards or anything they saw to make the home look better. They just did it. We also have an inground pool. My husband has just been trying to patch it, which at the end of the season would fall apart.     Last summer I needed my whole house painted, shingles fixed and replace my two doors. Alex from Green Mountain Painting was the first to call back and even came by the same day to take a look. I explained everything I needed done and he was fair on the price. He didn’t disappoint the house came out beautiful and the doors were put in perfectly. Before he was done we had our AC leak from the attic and stained the ceiling. It was a mess but Alex said he could take care of it a little later on because he had to go to another job. He text me came back and finished the ceiling and painted some old chairs. He is a man of his word and a great carpenter and painter.     We were very impressed with the job that Alex and Anna did removing our very old cellar stairs and rebuilding a brand new and safe set of stairs.     Listen, please do yourself a favor and hire Alex and Green Mountain Painting & Carpentry. If you want to stop stressing about making sure that you are getting good quality work, for a very fair and reasonable price, then I would highly recommend hiring Alex. He is a perfectionist whom you can tell takes great pride in his work.Our entire condo building was affected by water damage last year, and we ended up hiring Alex to repaint our entire unit. We are certainly glad that we did. I was able to see a few of the other units reconstruction and their paint jobs don’t look half as good as ours does. My boyfriend is also a fanatic about straight paint lines and Alex did not disappoint him. His paint lines are PERFECT.We also had a few minor things pop up during the painting process, like the people we hired to refinish our floors scuffed up some of our newly painted stairs. Alex was super courteous and repainted them with no questions asked. I will definitely be using him again in the future and plan to recommend him to family and friends.

    Alex has worked with us on 3 separate painting projects. He is such a nice person. He is reliable, trustworthy, clean, and efficient. He comes when he says he is going to come. I dont ever have to worry if he is going to show up. He is quick to respond to texts. I trust him in our house even when we are not home. He moved our furniture before he started painting and put it back after the was done. He protects the furniture and floor when he is painting. He even offered to reinstall the light sconces when he was done painting at no extra charge.     I highly recommend Alex and his team. The quality of his work is outstanding, he is professional, reliable and his prices are reasonable. I wish I had more projects for him to do. I have hired many contractors over the years and he and his team rank very high. Alex was professional from the beginning to the end of the project.There was rot in several of the beams under the entrance way to our house. The repair work involved sistering boards to the existing beams under the house and replace a rotted section of the sil. Our house only has a crawl space and one of his crew members was willing to crawl under to do the work.This project needed to be done in 2 steps. During the finishing work, Alex replaced the threshold on our front entrance and also fixed our storm door which was sagging. I was impressed by the precision he had when doing this work.     I highly recommend Green Mountain. I had this contractor replace and repair 2 damaged basement stairs. I also had him build 3 storage areas for my tenants in the basement. He also replaced an exterior door. Due to the age of my home the door was custom made. This required him to do extra work to make a safe fit. He also boxed in an exposed gas pipe. He kept me informed throughout the process. He was always on time, removed all debris and thoroughly cleaned the area. I am very pleased with Green Mountain.

    TL;DR: Alex and his team are exceptional people that you can trust to do quality work.Alex and his team are the most professional contractors Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. (My husband and I recently built our house so weve dealt with quite a few.) We hired Alex to do much needed repairs and painting on my Dads house, built in 1731.From the beginning, Alex was responsive and communicative, both about his estimates/explaining costs and when he would be working/getting things done. It was obvious from day one that he was the rare type of person that truly takes pride in doing quality work (the pictures dont do it justice).Over the course of the project, he also proved to be very reasonable when it came to unforeseen, but necessary repairs. You dont start a project on a house that is nearly 300 years old without some expectation of uncovering more work that needs to be done. But miraculously, I never felt like he was out to swindle us, every unknown was addressed reasonably.This was very important to me because before hiring Alex, in the process of getting estimates from others, the minute they saw how old the house was they saw an opportunity to turn a few necessary repairs into a massive (and expensive) renovation project.Alex was the opposite. With him he listens and you feel like you have a partner working with you towards the same goal. He is our go-to guy from now on.

    Completed just a few weeks ago. Exterior of house was painted along with trim and some of the older gutters and downspouts. A lot of carpentry work to be done, which included new doors on my carport, some rotted trim around a couple of windows and some cement repair. Awnings were painted and all doors. Both Alex and Anna worked long hours and worked hard and did a beautiful job..Went above and beyond. Since I was very pleased, my sister and husband had also hired them and their house is currently being worked on for exterior and carpentry work because I highly recommend them!

    I called Alex at Green Mountain for a quote on repairing some rot on the exterior of the garage and two sides of my eighty-year-old house. He was quick to drop over to the house and provided me with a competitive quote for the job. He and his crew performed the work taking care to do it carefully, professionally, and completely. He figured out why it had rotted on the back of the house and even made a video proving that the source of the water that caused the rot was the furnace exhaust. He reworked the furnace exhaust pipes so we will not continue to have rot on the side of the house.     Alex and his team do phenomenal work. He is a caring, hard-working guy who really gets to know the root of the project before going forward. I saw Green Mountain Carpentrys great reviews and havent stopped contacting them for help with carpentry-related projects around the house ever since they first proved to me that the great reviews are accurate.The first project was (I thought) replacing an old door to the back porch, but Alex showed me that it would save me money to simply remove the door and have it worked on a little. He took care of it one afternoon and reinstalled it at a reasonable price. (He even got a new lock for it and took care of installing that, too.) The door turned out great, and now I dont need to worry about replacing it.Second project was fixing a railing that had fallen apart on the front porch stairs. Alex took a look at it and determined that a few stairs could also need work to get the job done right, but it was as easy as simply drilling in some additional screws so as not to endanger anyone walking up or down the stairs. I completely agreed. Only after I approved the overall project did Alex go into action and get the job done. The new railing turned out looking better than I anticipated, and he even added a couple of nice adornments to the top of the banisters. Im not nervous going up the stairs anymore, and I have Green Mountain Carpentry to thank for that.Third project (like I said, I havent stopped tasking Alex with work ever since I learned how great he and his team are), Alex re-adhered a piece of splintered wood that had come off one of my aunts kitchen drawers. Im not a handyman in the least, and this guy has been making me look like a superstar to my aunt, because he gets every little detail taken care of. She was so happy. He also helped remove a part of a doorway threshold that was causing her difficulty moving to and from the living room and kitchen in her wheelchair. What a guy!Green Mountain Carpentry is no joke. They seal the deal with quality work, attention to detail, and affordable prices. Not to mention Alex is a reasonable, down-to-earth guy who isnt in the business of upselling you on everything.     We found a severely weather damaged wall in need of immediate repair. Thats when I called Green Mountain Carpentry & Painting Alex showed up within hours to assess the damage. Alex and Anna were attentive to my needs and timeframe. They came and immediately began to fix the problem. Throughout the entire process Alex and Anna were professional, friendly, answered all questions that I had and kept me updated. Their attention to detail was outstanding. The worksite was thoroughly cleaned. This was all accomplished within 2 days. They did a fantastic job and would highly recommend them. I plan on using them in the future. Thanks for the quality!

    We really appreciated the excellent work of Alex and his team, when repainting the exterior of our house, replacing a window, and repairing a number of rotten spots. We were so impressed by the quality of their work, their flexibility and their dedication, even jumping in to help when they discovered a number of leaks due to a freeze-up in our basement, that we asked them to repaint the entire interior of our house.     I met Alex when he was working on my neighbors porch. He and Anna did such a great job I asked them to take care of my porch as well. We had a significant amount of wood rot in our gutters, fascia and some deck boards. They removed and replaced everything and got it looking like new. They also replaced a gate that was nearly unusable. We are very happy with out it turned out. The work was high quality, done quickly and a great value. We would absolutely use them again.

    I had Alex and Anna work for me replacing my back porches and decking as well as my front balcony and roofing. I am extremely pleased with all the work they did for me, they were professional and courteous at all times.     Alex and his team painted the exterior trims at my house. He was very responsive via text to any questions I had about the project prior to starting. I was very impressed by their work ethic! They started at 7 am and ended at 6pm each day with a short break in between. Many other contractors I have worked with in the past often procrastinated and did the work very slowly, coming late and leaving early. However with Alex I felt I could let him do the job without having to worry that they werent on top of it. Furthermore they were very neat while painting, making sure to lay put sheets of plastic to catch fallen paint chips and vacuuming up any debris that fell during sanding. In addition, they went above and beyond and painted several door and window trims that were old but where not included his job responsibilities, without me even asking! All the painting came out beautifully and I am very impressed with their customer service. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family who need his services in the future!
