    We had an emergency due to a storm and I was so pleased Gem was available 24 hours a day. They got me assigned to an electrician and they came the same day. Very personable and explained every step in a way I could understand. They quickly got down to what was needed to be fixed. Price was reasonable as well. I explained I would be submitting the receipt to my insurance co for a claim. They said my receipt would be emailed to me in a very detailed description of what was repaired and why for my claim. All in all my day went from crazy to reassured my wiring was correctly fixed. I would definitely recommend and will be calling on Gem again for my electrical needs.

    GEM Plumbing & Heating quickly responded to my leaking hot water heater. The dispatch team was friendly and ensured that the service would be completed on the same day! The technician’s troubleshooting skills were flawless and he was able to replace my hot water heater in just a couple of hours. He even discarded my old hot water heater. The quality of the work is impeccable with all brand new fittings. He really went above and beyond when he offered me a military discount at the end of the visit.

    Knowing nothing about boiler systems, Zack was able to explain all the parts and what they do including how to release air. He is very thorough and is very keen to look at all the details to make sure everything is how it should be. Having anxiety, he was able to reassure me through his knowledge everything would be okay or even better. My 32-year-old Burnham circulator pump (see picture) stopped working but I decided to change it out to a newer one with their great 0% finance program which I found I was eligible for. I will also rest easy knowing if I have any hiccups, they are there to service and help me for the next five years. By the way, GEM was the only company available after hours after calling like 10 in the south shore on a Thursday night. They were the only company able to bring a new boiler on Saturday instead of waiting for Monday.

    First called them for a no heat situation. Tech was at my house within a short period of time. Problem solved with furnace until it was realized my hot water heater needed replacement. Scheduling its installation as well as pricing options was easy and straightforward. My entire experience with this company from initial contact to final installation was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Ive already recommended them to friends.

    Chad did a great job analyzing and explaining the situation and recommending some options. He will be following up on a couple of matters with his colleagues and get back to me. Very pleased with the work so far.A second comment after the installation of the new water heater. Gem did a great job researching whether a warranty applied to my water heater and it did so I saved $2,500. Chad and his colleague were very diligent with removing and installing the new unit. They spent a lot of time checking if the water flow was correct, bleeding air out of the system, etc. They made sure I was satisfied with the work before they left. And of course they 100% cleaned up after themselves. Will definitely work with Gem again in the future.

    Eric M was such a pro! He was very knowledgable and answered a ton of questions I had as well as made sure the pipes were safe. We scheduled another appointment for him to come back and perform the work and he also set us up with someone to come out for an estimate for furnace replacement. I was very happy with the experience from start to finish with GEM.

    I had an electrical problem and found GEM through an internet search. Chen traced the problem to my electrical panel where some work was required. The problem returned a few days later and Steve fixed the root cause for me. He then contacted the electric company to upgrade my connection from the street. Both GEM technicians were professional and communicated clearly with me, explaining what the issues were and what needed to be fixed. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received and feel I got more than my moneys worth in service. I would also note that in both cases the persons I talked to on the phone were excellent and communicated clearly as well. My overall experience was one which made me very happy and glad I called GEM to fix the issue. 🙂

If something doesnt look right they always fix it to look presentable thank you Gem Im glad you are there for me Thank you again11/26/24 well I needed Gem services again but this time on an emergency basis my house us 58 years old and my toilet started to overflow well Gem came out the next day which I was greatful since close to Thanksgiving they did an excellent job to replace the old and I got a new toilet and requested for the higher one the plummers Forgot name sorry from Gem replaced the old toilet . This is first time I had to call Gem for emergency basis and was greatful on there response thank you again Your always there when needed.1/3/25Had to call Gem list electrical power on three walls. Coffee pot stopped brewing wow no coffee, then tried to finish a pillow I was working on sewing machine stopped and tried to heat my supper you guessed it no power . Went to the circuit breaker and didnt work had to call Gem had to switch the outlet to regular outlet didnt need one with Curcuit breaker the technician changed to outlet and reset circuit breaker and it was the microwave that blew my electrical wiring m. Dont think Ill get another microwave so Gem came to the rescue great job. Five starsHelen

    Harrison was punctual, courteous and exceptionally conscientious.My boiler wasn’t working properly .After fixing the problem, he checked every radiator to make sure that they were hotand that the boiler was functioning properly. I appreciate his expertise and extra effort as he weather gets cold.

    We request service technician, Helio, each time to service our generator. He is extremely knowledgeable and has excellent communication skills. This time we hit a SNAFU with the equipment that was being installed. Helio stayed and troubleshooted with online services until the equipment worked compatibly with our system.
