    I am so overdue in sharing my review of the DBS team. WOW just wow… what a phenomenal company. I’ve done two large jobs with them - a complete tear out and remodel of my old kitchen and a sunroom addition/ deck/ storage area. Let me tell you - they really and truly deliver! First- the people: from Brian’s initial consultation through the professionalism of his crew and to the follow ups by Jenn afterward- they were all amazing. They were honest, helpful/ and even let me help and get my DIY fix. They were patient with my questions. They left the site tidy and organized each day. Second the quality: both jobs were amazing- the skill they showed in planning and execution was incredible. The finished products are fabulous! I spend most of my days in my new spaces! I am more than satisfied with their work and highly recommend them to anyone who wants a high quality job done by an honest team for a reasonable price. Thanks again to Brian and the team at DBS remodel does such incredible work!!!

    DBS are consummate professionals. You absolutely get what you pay for. For a trustworthy company, quality of workmanship, and clear communication, I doubt anyone can do better. I hired them for a complete demo and remodel of a tiny bathroom in a 1950s house that I am 100% satisfied with. Its gorgeous.

    Our experience with DBS Remodel for our kitchen project was exceptional. Everything was explained to us before and during the project and the team checked in on progress throughout the whole project. The lead carpenter, Chris, was always punctual, a great communicator and left the house in pristine shape at the end of each day. We worked directly with Carly on the design and couldnt be happier with the way it turned out. I would FULLY recommend this company to anyone wanting to do a remodeling project with a reputable company that communicates effectively throughout the whole process (beginning to end). We have had some less than great experiences with contractors but DBS Remodel was the best! Highly recommend!

    DBS has now done my third project for me in my home and I am yet again just thrilled with the results! Previously I had them rebuild my deck and then do an entire basement remodel. This time they redid my master bathroom and it came out unbelievably amazing! They offered lots of great design ideas from the beginning throughout the project. Their lead carpenters are so professional and enjoyable to work with, and their office staff is incredibly responsive. Their work is excellent, they are detailed, polite and wonderful to work with! All of my three projects with them came out amazing and I constantly get compliments from friends and family on these areas in my home. Brian and his entire team inspire trust and confidence and their work is of the highest quality. They also kept the area very clean during an involved demolition and then construction.     Our experience with DBS was stress-free from the very start. We’ve done many major projects in our home so know what can happen when many subcontractors are involved. Mike’s workmanship is meticulous and professional, and on top of that, we were pleased with his punctuality, honesty, and kindness. He and his team came everyday until the job was completed.     UPDATE!Our project is finally completed. Construction began later than anticipated - mostly due to a change order which had some supply chain issues. It was worth the delay. The space is fantastic. It was a pleasure to work with Michelle, Nadine, Pete and Jenn to make the whole thing come together. The entire DBS staff was respectful of our property and our project. The third party vendors we worked with off-site and on-site were also attentive, knowledgeable and professional. Weve already recommended DBS to friends and expect to engage them for future projects.Weve been working with DBS for several months now planning for a basement renovation and sunroom addition later this year. Each team member is professional and thorough as well as attentive. They previously remodeled my mothers bathroom to allow her to age in place. That project was fantastic. They came highly recommended and their longevity is a testament to their business acumen and construction expertise. There are less expensive options but we wanted pros with a reputation which precedes them and a web of vetted suppliers with whom to work. We found all of this with DBS.

    We chose DBS for our large remodel, which included a new kitchen and bathroom, enlarging the dining room, partially raising the roof for two walk-in closets, etc., because of their outstanding reputation for customer service and professionalism (which is, in our opinion, unsurpassed)!The owner, Brian, began by going over every detail of the project so that there were no surprises. Throughout the process, he constantly checked in with us to make sure we were happy and to ensure that they were meeting all of our needs.Rob Wheeler was our project manager; he and his crew treated our home as if it were their own. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rob. We never had anything to worry about, as he took care of every detail with such professionalism, care, and patience. Every room was sealed off, and each evening everything was cleaned so that when the renovation was over, there was NO DUST anywhere! His team consistently showed the utmost respect for our home.All of the staff in Brians office are always there to help with anything you need. Brian provides the best subcontractors who treat your home the same way DBS does. All the vendors we were sent to took care of all our needs with the same professionalism and courtesy.Working with DBS was a pleasure from start to finish, and when they say you are a part of their family, they mean it! They turned our house into our dream home, and we couldnt give them a higher recommendation if we tried!

    We recently completed our second major remodel with DBS and again, could not be more pleased. Their approach, which is exact and consistent, never fails to deliver a top quality product.From the initial meeting with Bob, working with the lead carpenter, dealing with the vendors, to the final walk through the process could not have been any easier. Excellent communications, detailed estimates, prompt and courteous staff and amazing workmanship are the standard for DBS. Bob, a true advocate, was instrumental in our understanding of the timeline, change orders, and industry issues. Our lead carpenter, Chris, turned our design into reality with an intense attention to detail, superior craftsmanship and creative suggestions. He skillfully managed all aspects of the project and was always present to assist vendors. Also, the administrative team, Jenn and Nadine, were clear in their communications, saw to our needs and addressed any issues promptly.We have completely transformed our space with the help of DBS and it is beautiful. We live in it daily and are thankful to the relationship we have created with them.

    Recently DBS remodeled my kitchen. From the time I went to the Home Show, to their seminar & all the meetings I had with Brian, his staff, the project manager Rob, I have been impressed. Highly professional, efficient, trustworthy, always leaving my home clean. Once work was begun on my kitchen it was completed in a timely manner. I appreciate their caring attitude throughout. Their website is excellent. I would highly recommend them & would definitely hire them again.

    We have had DBS remodel a bathroom and our kitchen. In both cases, the result has been extraordinarily beautiful. We love the outcome and our friends and family rave about both! Equally important was the process that DBS creates for customers, that makes the experience predictable and inspires confidence at a time when we were vulnerable! They assign a professional worker to lead the project and shepherd us (the customer) through the experience! Shane was even sweet and understanding about our puppy! By the end of the project, we knew we would miss him! The evaluation process after the culmination of it all is taken seriously and DBS is generous regarding future needs and advice. They make the process as stress free as is humanly possible and they are listeners. What more could one ask? We are thrilled with our kitchen and recommend DBS to anyone who asks...

    Recently we renovated nearly 1200 sq. ft. of our downstairs living space. This was a major undertaking which included the removal of a structural wall and a major redesign of our kitchen. After interviewing several contractors, architects, and design build firms, we selected DBS Remodel. To say it was the best decision we could have made is an understatement. At all stages, from our initial interview and planning with Bob, throughout the whole renovation with our Lead Carpenter Pete, and the final walk-through upon completion, we could not have been more impressed. The DBS team listened, responded, and executed beyond our expectations. Assigning a 5 star rating does not adequately describe the ‘ease’ we felt in our relationship with DBS and the absolutely beautiful space they delivered. They are an incredibly talented team and we look forward to our next project starting in a few months.

    Wow, Brian and his staff were just amazing from start to finish. We did a complete kitchen renovation which can be very stressful. Mike our carpenter from DBS was and is just amazing and took all the stress away from us. Their workmanship is like a fine piece of art. DBS started out as our contractor and left as part of our family. I will definitely have them back to remodel our bathrooms!!

    We remodeled our entire house, right down to the studs. We added a bathroom, removed a load bearing wall and swapped the living room and kitchen. DBS did an outstanding job, we have no complaints. They were professional, respectful and made a very stressful renovation tolerable. We dont think they were expensive, everything was well thought out and estimated costs were right on target. We appreciated the value of actually getting what you paid for.     We originally used them for our deck and then kitchen. We were so happy that we used them for our upstairs bedrooms Reno. The lead was Andrew he was very personable and professional. The work was done quickly and they communicated well with us every step of the way. Yes it was expensive but definitely worth it.

    Our journey started in 2012 when we had first embarked on a remodel for 2 of our bathrooms We had 3 contractors visit our home to give us quotes but none of them really made an impression. As a matter of fact, they all left us worried that we wouldn’t get what we wanted. Then we stumbled upon DBS after an internet search. From the minute Bob walked into our home, we knew we’d go with this company. He was professional, knowledgeable, listened and took detailed notes. He wasn’t in a rush to get through the process. After agreeing to have a job scope done and almost going into contract, we had to put the process on hold because of personal reasons. Fast forward 6 years, we attend a DBS seminar with the intent to start the process again. It was nice to see Bob at the seminar .We approached him at the end, told him that we had met him 6 years ago and that we’d like to finish what we started. He asked if we still had our job scope and luckily we did. DBS did not charge us again for another job scope which affirmed why we went with them in the first place.Pre construction meeting: (June 2018)At this meeting we meet Mike (Project Manager) for the first time. In a matter of an hour, both him and Bob made us feel so secure about how things would be handled in our home during the remodel. They covered everything from entry to the house, how to deal with our dogs, how debris would be disposed of, time line, storage, communication, other contractors that would intermittently come to our home, and questions we had for them. We were left with such a sense of relief that our house would be treated with the utmost care and respect.Remodeling Project: (February-March 2019)we can NOT say ENOUGH about Mike Whalen. He is such a meticulous, efficient, professional, considerate and personable man. He was in our house everyday of the project and did ALL the carpentry work, tiling, and sheetrock install. He worked tirelessly to install custom wainscoting in both bathrooms and a detailed mosaic tile trim. His footprint on a daily basis was minimal and he ALWAYS left our bathrooms and house clean and dust free at the end of each work day. He answered any questions we had and was communicative about the progress of the job. He never took the liberty of making any decision without seeking our approval. Our dogs grew to really look forward to seeing Mike, since it was obvious that he would give them attention while he was in our home.Other contractors: Every contractor that came into our home was professional and did an amazing job. (Electrician, Plumber, Sheetrock Taper, countertop installer)DBS Staff: Nadine, Jenn and Alexis! What would DBS be without them? You are guaranteed to hear from one of these lovely ladies if you have any questions or concerns before, during and after your remodel. And they don’t only respond in a timely fashion, they also answer your questions effectively and check in to make sure things are running smoothly!Needless to say, we LOVE the way our bathrooms came out! We are already saving for a full kitchen remodel and without a doubt will be hiring DBS once again!If you are pondering whether this company is the one for you- DON’T- look no further!

    When no one else would touch our kitchen renovation, DBS did it splendidly. Granted, they knocked out a wall, gutted the 50 year old kitchen and sent us in progress pictures while we vacationed at the beach. Now, the kids bring their friends over to cook while enjoying the view of the Hudson Valley.

    DBS Remodel is dependable and trustworthy. The work they do is beyond words. You can tell why they have stayed in business for so long, they know what they are doing and they prove it to you everyday and in the end result. We had a Trex deck with cable railing installed and a accessory apartment done in our home for my parents. All aspects of the company are there for you. You always had the support and knowledge of the office staff to help you through the many questions you have. The coordination of the work is true professionalism. They were at our house everyday during the project working hard, and at the end of the day they cleaned up as if they were never there. We were informed during the whole process, and when we wanted changes they were made with ease. Everyone that worked with us was kind, polite, and professional. We are going to miss them being at our house but hopefully not for long for I want them to do our kitchen in the near future.

    We used the services of DBS for a major renovation of our home which included a new kitchen, the removal of walls (one a bearing wall) and the installation and/refinishing of hardwood floors throughout the entire house. I cannot say enough about the quality and professionalism of this company. All company employees must have to drink the “customer satisfaction” Kool-Aid. From our first planning meeting with Bob we were confident about the project. In fact we left for vacation during the first 10 days of the project. Through their online project website we could watch the progress via pictures posted and status reports and got real time updates through FaceTime whenever we wanted.We had heard horror stories from friends about delayed projects and sub-contractor delays. These guys run a well-oiled machine. DBS assigned a dedicated project manager, Rob, who developed and followed a detailed project plan. He was a real craftsman who took care of every detail and was always conscious of minimizing any inconvenience to us. Subcontractors arrived when scheduled and were expected to follow their rules of cleanliness and professionalism. Rob was onsite the everyday from 8-5 and his attention to detail was amazing. He finished on schedule in 8 weeks (despite my changes and add ons). He was just a pleasure to work with.So many little things make DBS stand out. They set up a 6 foot portable kitchen cart that had electrical hook up to make life easier during the renovation. It was fully equipped with disposable kitchen utensils, plates, napkins, a microwave and 3 gallons of water. Unbelievable! And every day the house was vacuumed and swept prior to leaving.I can’t say enough about the company. The entire first floor turned out beautiful. Friends are impressed with the quality of the work and can’t believe we got done on time. Love these guys…. so much so that we signed contract for another project in the spring. If I sound like a DBS born-again, it’s because I am and I’d be happy to provide a reference to any potential client. Got for it. You won’t be disappointed.
