Everyone reading reviews knows how hard it is to find someone who will take care of their house like it’s their own. J. Knipe not only does that but also does it at a competitive price with honesty and integrity. We were in a tough spot with a dangerous panel, J. Knipe diagnosed the problem, worked hard to make it safe while setting up a replacement, and replaced the panel all without a hitch. Definitely going to be the electrician I call for any issues or projects in the future.

Within 30 minutes of my call, James was at my house fixing wiring that could potentially have caused major problems going forward. Work from home. My monitors went off. Checked everything and went to the circuit breaker box and flipped the switch. Five minutes later it was out again. The breaker was for one outlet downstairs AND two rooms upstairs. Quick search and called. Sent some pics of the box and he was here in 10 minutes. Turns out he lives a block up around the corner! He is does good work and recommend calling when you need an electrician.

James came to my house on the hottest day of the year to help me with my circuit breaker. He was very friendly and took his time to figure out what was going on. He found out that the outside receptacle was bad so he replaced it. As he was leaving I noticed that the outside light was still on even though the switch was off. He said how about I fix that. I felt bad since he had spent most of his time outside and it was so hot, at first I said no but he said it’s no problem I’ll fix it. He found out the switch was bad and got it fixed in no time. I really appreciate him coming out. His rates are like the side of his van said “will shock you.” He was very well priced for all the work he did. I would recommend James for electrical work to anyone.

Its difficult to find a dependable electrician. Jim was referred to us through a friend, and we called him to help me out with a home improvement project that I couldnt finish. He was quick to respond and came that same day to fix the problem. Hes also very respectful of peoples homes - he made sure he wore booties in the house. And throughout the service call, he talked through everything he was doing so that I understood where I was stuck. This gentleman had finished working for the day but took the time to go check it out.There was a smoldering fire within the walls and a potential fire could have erupted, had he not gone to check.He took care of replacing all the wires and at a very reasonable price.Safe to say, I will always use him for any electrics problems.

Great person to work with and a very patient man. I was trying to wire a new thermostat and baseboard heater in my bathroom and could not figure it out using videos or the internet. James solved the issue in short order. I contacted J. Knipe and asked him to come out when a handful of my outlets were not working. He was great and attempted to troubleshoot with me over the phone. I was not able to troubleshoot the issue myself, so I set up an appointment with J. I called on a Tuesday night and he was able to schedule me for Thursday morning, very quick turnaround. He was great when he came out. He helped identify an issue with my circuit breaker. He was very helpful and walked me through everything he was doing. J. suggested isolating my washing machine onto a new breaker to avoid this issue moving forward, which I also had him take care of. He left me with a small list of other electrical improvements that I could make to my house, which was very helpful. Fair prices and good service!

Finally, we decided we needed to call an electrician because our questions were beyond what we could figure out ourselves. Once he learned we were first time home-owners, he took the time to really show us the ins and outs of our electrical set-up, what to look for and what investments to make in the coming years.
