    Chris and his team made my kitchen renovation a breeze. I had a project manager that was at my house daily during the work and he followed up with emails of what to expect in the next week or two. When there was an issue, it was dealt with immediately and without complaint. I think thats the best thing about CMAC.... they handled problems as if there was no problem... offered solutions quickly and to my satisfaction. Just a really wonderful experience ... I dont know how many people can say that about a remodel!!

    Like most people, I’ve heard the horror stories about contractors. So when we decided to remodel one of our bathrooms, we did our homework and interviewed four companies.The companies that specialize in bathrooms were not in the business of anything but the fixtures themselves…no painting, no lighting (electrical), no floors. That’s when we realized we needed a general contractor.Of those that came to give us estimates, one stayed for all of 5 minutes and was clearly not listening to what I wanted, another never looked me in the eye, one said they’d work up the numbers but never called back…not good signs.Chris Mackin, owner of C Mac Contracting of Point Pleasant came on time, really listened to what we wanted, spent time going over the process and timeline, and came back promptly with his estimates and suggestions for alternate materials to mitigate costs.He and his team, led by Lucas, were professional, polite and always hard working.The project was completed a week early and on budget. We couldn’t be happier!Pictures will be posted of our beautiful new bathroom, and you will see for yourself the quality of workmanship!     Fantastic job by owner Chris and Rob on our bathroom remodel. 100% satisfied with the work. Always showed up on time as scheduled. Finished within the timeframe quoted. Fair pricing, honest and trustworthy, provided us with options and many good ideas. All work was supervised by the owner, who checked in, in person, 2-3 times per day. A pleasure to work with. Will absolutely hire again for a few more home improvement projects we have planned for the future. Highly recommend, especially if you live in the Point Pleasant area and prefer to deal with a local small business that will give you personalized attention.

    I cannot say enough good things about working with Chris and his team. He came in on a bathroom addition project we had started but no longer had the capacity to do ourselves. He gave us an estimate within 24 hours and got to work quickly. He was reliable with updates, showed up when he said he would, and I felt that we could trust him with every step of the project.     CMAC are true professionals. They go above and beyond and do the job right, which is hard to find these days. From the initial project scope to the work itself, Chris and team went above and beyond and treated the job like it was one of their own homes. We decided to live through the kitchen/first floor Reno and the team ensured it was as smooth as possible. They communicated daily, ensured work was getting done right and on time and cleaned throughout. It turned out better than we could have expected and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again. Looking forward to hopefully working with them again in the future!

    My wife and I recently completed our kitchen/1st floor remodel with Chris and his team. The renovation is something we had planned to do when initially purchasing the home, but due to a pipe burst & water damage, that timeline was expedited.I work with contractors & subs often in my line of work, but due to unexpected timelines (we found out my wife was pregnant) & given current work priorities/projects I had underway, this wasnt going to be a project I could leverage my network & successfully manage.I interviewed many contractors, but Chris stood out amongst the rest. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and had a good reputation, most of all he listened. Chris never once pushed any agenda or tried to increase costs/budget. There were no surprises - you can expect full transparency. His goal is to bring your vision to life, while also keeping a reality check when some ideas are exceeding budget.He wasnt the cheapest in terms of up-front estimated cost, but he was the most realistic & honest. Chris and his team knew we had a tight time window and executed on all fronts. They showed up on time, communicated every step of the way, and worked around many obstacles.Chris did a phenomenal job managing his team & subs, and delivering on all his projected timelines. He was extremely patient with us and made himself readily available. Very easy to speak to and work with. Hes flexible and takes extreme pride in his work & all those he manages. Hes accountable and takes extreme ownership. My wife and I are beyond pleased with the quality of his work & his professionalism. We have recommended him to many already, and would highly suggest anyone who is on the fence or unsure about a contractor, that you put your trust in Chris, you will NOT be disappointed.     We hired CMAC contracting for renovations to pretty much our entire house - 2 bedroom, full bath, half bath, converting an office into a laundry room and the kitchen. Chris was always very up front with us about what to expect and gave us his professional opinion every step of the way. As first time home owners we were so appreciative of that since we had no idea what we were doing. Every project was done in a timely manner and if things looked like they would take longer Chris always let us know and told us why, which I thought was so great so that we were always on the same page. His guys were always very respectful and worked non stop when they were here. I have heard horror stories from people about home renovations so was kind of dreading doing everything, but after the first project I knew if we stuck with CMAC Contracting it would be smooth sailing for the rest of the renovations. I would NEVER go with anyone else.

    Knowledgeable, great work ethic, experienced in his craft, Chris Mackin, owner of CMAC Contracting, follows through on what he says he will do in a timely manner. Chris was recommended by a former employer who he worked for, for four years, before going into his own business. His former employer said to me during maintenance repairs on my house, I know you have other recommendations for contractors for major renovations; but, I recommend Chris. I know his work. Its first rate. Dont blame me if you decide to use another contracting firm and the work is not up to snuff. I decided to take his advice primarily because Chriss former employer has done repair and maintenance work over the years for me and his work is top notch excellent.Chris communicates well; by text, cell phone and email. He responds to most text and cell phone calls the same day; within hours or less. He gutted and renovated my main bathroom, kitchen, replaced four basement windows and installed Crown Molding throughout my house that I recently bought. End results; all looks terrific.One of my neighbors stopped by from time to time to inspect the work-in-progress. He was so impressed he hired Chris to gut his garage and turn it into a beautiful family room. I have had numerous comments from other neighbors and friends saying how beautiful the renovations turned out. I put in many hours with a designer from my tile supplier, and with the showroom manager from my plumbing supplier for bathroom hardware, custom vanity with quartz top, and shower door to create exact designs and color schemes I wanted. Chris took the supplies and equipment and created a beautiful reality.An example of Chriss thoroughness, he needed to educate himself on a waterproofing system for the shower that he never used before; but, required by my tile supplier for use behind the structural brace for a tiled shower seat. This system waterproofed the entire shower behind all the tile and the support brace. Chris visited with the designer from my tile supplier to discuss the installation of this system. He was provided with the manufacturers website to view a video showing how to install the brace and the system. He paid attention to all the details of this installation for perfect results.No short cuts here. He is methodical and does a renovation right the first time. If a few minor glitches occur, he promptly makes corrections. This is why he receives so many referrals.... from satisfied customers. It would be a mistake not to call him for quotes. His valuable comments and insights regarding the work you want to have done offers important information for potential customers to digest when planning a major renovation.

    Highly recommend CMAC Contracting! Chris is a pleasure to work with, showed up when he said he would, got the quote to me immediately & helped us out of a jam by squeezing in our job prior to our town’s construction moratorium deadline. They replaced several sections of rotted floor boards on our 25 year old porch and it was tricky finding the same size boards plus the floor was previously sanded several times so each new board had to be planed to meet the existing height. The job turned out great & we really appreciate the level of detail the carpenter showed in his work. It’s rare to find such a reliable contractor who does great work and these repairs will bide us some time before we have to replace the porch but when we do, we won’t hesitate to call on CMAC for the job and any other future work!
