Our experience with IL wall doctor was great. Ken got back to us quickly and Julian the electrician did an amazing job with our recessed lighting! The drywall techs came the next day and fixed up the circles perfectly. The photo shows pre drywall fix. Pricing was also reasonable! Highly recommend for your home improvement projects. Many times you don’t find honesty when you shop for a service that you need, BUT I just encountered a company that does not live for the almighty buck. I spoke to Ken the owner and outlined my situation that I have. He explained to me that the drywall damage I have doesn’t have to be repaired and replaced. He could have easily said I needed a $600.00 job but rather he was upfront and honest with his evaluation. In the future this is the company I will call for any drywall issues, knowing I would get the very best! Thanks Ken

I had 4 rooms in my house that needed drywall replaced/added due to water damage from a roof leak and from a bathroom pipe. I called Ken, sent him pictures and dimensions and he sent me an estimate within 2 days. I also received estimates from 2 other companies, which were almost 4 times higher then what Ken had sent. I was skeptical as to why the estimate from the Illinois Wall Doctors was so much lower, but based on the reviews I decided to go with them. Within a week of signing the contract, I had 2 guys working on repairing the walls/ceilings. The two guys were amazing, they showed up on time and got right to work and they did an amazing job. Once they were done, they did a great job cleaning up after themselves, I actually expected more dust/mess after the job was done. Overall I am extremely happy with the work they did and I highly recommend them!

This is the second time we have had Illinois Wall Doctors out to our home for a large painting job. They yet again did a wonderful job. Staff remains courteous, do a great job with clean up, gentle with personal belongings, and excellent with all details regarding painting our home. We will have them back next year for a garage flooring project and painting as they are the preferred choice when it comes to taking care of our home and making it look incredible. The service was okay! They gave me a quote by me taking photos of my garage and it wasnt a bad quote. The problem I have is they didnt use tarps and dust is everywhere. I can finish cleaning it but why should I have to? Also, they never stated you pay a service fee for using a credit card until it came to payment, so I basically paid an extra $100. Fees and services should always be told upfront from the beginning of any service. This way we can decide if the customer wants to move forward.

We had arches installed on 2 hallways and 2 formal areas. The work was performed very professionally and quickly. All 4 areas we’re completed in one day. They did an excellent job, cleaned things up and I would hire them again for other work of similar projects.However, there was a lot of dust that took us 2 days to clean up afterwards. The dust got through the whole house. If we new about the dust problem, we would have had a vacuum running while they sanded.Even though, we love our arches! Nice job...

Very reasonable prices. We got another estimate that was exorbitant before calling IL Wall Doctors. Ken listened to what we needed, and asked for pics to assess. Quick estimate and clear communication via email. We needed drywall repair of seams and touch up in two rooms. The young man who arrived was punctual and professional, and cleaned up the work area of most of the dust. The walls are perfectly smooth now. Weve used this company before in 2018, and again now. Id safely recommend them 100% to anyone.

We looked at a lot of options for our front door, including replacement. Replacement is extremely costly. Ken and his team are easy to work with. He provided an estimate just by sending the pictures I have attached here. The pictures attached are a closeup of the door damage as well as the rotting wood and how it looked before. The last picture shows the final. The picture says it all. This transformation all happened in 1 day! If you are considering a door replacement because your door is worn, it might be worth contacting Ken and his team, as the cost for Kens services is a fraction of what a new door would cost. Also note, the door is not wood but fiberglass, and so are the side lights. The point is, it doesnt matter what the material is. We are very happy with how this project turned out.

I spontaneously looked for a professional to repair drywall and found Wall Doctors. GREAT reviews led me to further check them out and indeed they are awesome. There are a lot of people that do good drywall work and even less that do great.....these guys are great.Ken arranged everything via text with pics and email. He is very communicative. Quotes were quite reasonable and the work performed by Julian was outstanding.and efficient. I saw him take the time to carefully look at his own work. He was friendly and fast and quite apt at his trade. The walls are smooth as a babys bottom and ready for painting.We are inviting Wall Doctors of Illinois back to do a (mostly) whole-house interior painting based on our experience. I recommend you stop looking any further and give these guys a go!

From my first text message to total completion, these guys are great and very easy to work with.. We first hired them to remove a popcorn ceiling. Results after just two painless days exceeded our expectations. We had a house full of 24 year old wallpaper. At our pace, Ken and his crew removed all of it and repainted. Our house looks 20 years fresher.We also added a zero depth shower (and closet) to our first floor powder room. Major interior construction but every single one of the trades we encountered were polite, punctual and cleaned up after they were done for the day. Made a major remodel relatively easy. Highly recommend them.

I have hired Illinois Wall Doctors twice. First, to hang and tape drywall in my basement. Second, to repair the ceiling in my kitchen that had been damaged by a plumbing leak. In both instances, Ken (the owner/President) was very prompt in responding to my call and providing a quote. Sad as it is to say, in my experience, this is a rarity when hiring contractors--very few returned my calls and some didnt even provide quotes after meeting with me. Kens company was far ahead of his peers in customer communication. Most importantly, Kens drywall guys arrived promptly at their scheduled time, completed the work efficiently, and did an excellent job. I cannot tell that they patched my ceiling. Kens rates for my two drywall jobs were very reasonable. His installation and taping guys were very friendly and helpful. Additionally, Ken provided excellent plumber and electrician referrals to complete my related jobs. Illinois Wall Doctors is now my first call for any drywall work or repair.

Ken repaired some drywall, tray and crown molding from an Ice Dam. We liked the professionalism so much we requested painting of 4 additional rooms. He and his crew were able to keep the dust and mess to a minimum. The paint lines were so straight and perfect at the ceiling lines, everything got 2 coats, and the trim work was flawless. After calling several dry wall contractors closer to us and not receiving any call backs, we found the number to Ken and his crew. He returned the phone call in a matter of an hour or so. He was very helpful for the project we were doing and was able to have his crew out to our house that same weekend. We were removing old out-dataed walls going down our basement steps, and replacing it with dry wall to brighten it up some. The workers were there when they said they would be there, and were done in the amount of time they said it would take. The work was great. We are still in contact with Ken from time to time about other projects we are planning and we know we are going to use his company to do those jobs. The price was fair and the work was exceptional.

I had the wall doctors patch and tape several items in my house, and while there was a hiccup getting the crew out on the day agreed upon, the response was excellent. They did a phenomenal job, and it was done quickly and with a minimum of dust. The most outstanding thing they did was fix a crack that I couldnt even see because they were face-to-face with it while working on a problem area where I had requested repair. They did so without asking or charging.

Due to a plumbing leak we had three 2X2ish openings that needed to be repaired. I reached out to Illinois Wall Doctors late in the week and they were able to have someone to our home by the following Monday. This work was completed during the Covid19 virus outbreak. Two representatives were on site wearing proper face masks. They were professional and worked efficiently. Care was taken to prep the floors prior to beginning work.I watched as they completed the job and I was impressed with the added reinforcement that they screwed into the drywall. Using 2X4 blocks screwed into the existing drywall allowed them to screw the new pieces in as well. I would not of thought of that if I completed this myself.High marks given for this company from scheduling, arriving on time and completing a quality job in an efficient manner. Upon completion the work area was cleaned and left just as they found it. I highly recommend Illinois Wall Doctors.

I was stuck out when another contractor removed a bunch of tile from the wall in my bathroom and then refused to repair the drywall behind the tiles despite having agreed to do so beforehand. The Illinois Wall Doctors came to my rescue and I couldnt be happier with the results! Work crew arrived the same day I called and finished the entire job in just over 4 hours. Everything was blended perfectly and the wall looks great now, youd never know it was ripped up disaster just hours earlier. I had to wipe dust off the floor and countertop the next morning the but thats par for the course with this kind of work, and otherwise the crew left the work site very neat and tidy. Price was very reasonable. I would call them again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend them to anyone who needs drywall or other wall repair work done.

Pleased with the drywall repair that was done in my home. The owner even agreed to take care of some minor corner damage on a couple walls since I was going to be painting and some of the corners were pretty dinged up. I got an estimate from someone else and that company wanted to charge me pretty close to the same price for the major work, but added on an additional (pretty high) cost to do those minor corner repairs-- clearly taking advantage of my lack of knowledge of how fast and simple the minor corner repairs really were. I did think it was a little odd that no one came in person to give me an estimate- just sent some pictures by text (although he was pretty spot-on). Also, he arrived much later than the time we set, but apparently there were unforeseen issues at the previous job site (maybe because they just go off of pictures and didnt see the actual situation...??) I also liked the workman- nice and polite. I feel I got quality work done at a reasonable price and that he wasnt trying to price gouge me-- really what else can you ask for:)

We had the trim boards and screens replaced on our house as well as having the house painted. Ken and his crew were very timely and totally self-sufficient. They never even asked to use the bathroom. It was hot the week they were here and I offered them some cold beverages, but they said they came prepared. A few times, I had to leave my house to run errands while they continued to work on the outside. I came back and work was still underway. They also cleaned up the premises very nicely when finished, including sweeping the driveway. We barely knew they were there! The crew was also very polite. They answered all my questions in detail and never made me feel like I was bothering them whenever I had one.

It is often obvious which trade service (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to seek for specific repairs or renovations, but sometimes a project requires multiple specialists working in tandem. IWD is a ‘one-stop shop.’ They are highly qualified to perform just about any home improvement job, from small tasks like building a little door to our crawl space to large-scale remodels.

Illinois Wall Doctors (IWD) did significant amount of drywall joint re-taping, general repair and new joint taping at my 24 year old home. The work was done incredibly fast, but very, very well. Best materials were used and the tradesman was so knowledgeable and experienced. He did a wonderful job of covering furniture and floors and cleaning up after sanding. What IDW did in two days would have taken me two months, but mine would never look as good. IDW is highly recommended and a great value for drywall taping and repair.
