    I selected Colvin to perform several tasks that weve wanted completed for quite some time:-Sconce installation in the master bedroom and upstairs common area-adding a third light switch to the upstairs hallway.The experience from start to finish was very non-eventful in a delightful way. First they seem to be one of the few organizations that actually use their contact us page. Second, they always arrived well within the arrival window. Additionally, they send.a picture of the technician that will be working with you.Even the organizations they contract with performed above my expectations. The holes that were cut into the wall to run the electrical work have been repaired and I honestly cant tell where the replacement ceiling blends in with the existing. Additionally, the person that fixed the ceiling Dexterd out my master bedroom to protect everything from debris.I would highly recommend Colvin for any and all electrical work.

    Had them remove the fans for sale of house. They estimated between 11am and 2pm, called said he was ahead of schedule and asked if he could arrive earlier, but of course, i said. Was here at 10am, very professional, took down the fans, changes the outlet and was exceptional and methodical. Only took 30 minutes. Great service I would recommend!!

    Haywood Smart was our electrician this time (our third time using Colvin for projects on our property). He was excellent, listened to our requests and understood the complexity of our system quickly (multiple solar installations, battery backup, etc.). The work was done quickly and precisely.     Michael Walter and his team mate showed up ready to work and explained me their plan for the work. I have two dogs and they worked out a way for them to get the work done while I moved my dogs around the house. They were incredibly great at communicating every step of the way as well as unexpected findings.Before the appointment, I worked with Renee and she was awesome as well communicating and answering all my questions before the appointment.Over all they are amazing and did great work!

    Colvin Electric was very responsive and quick to schedule service. The electrician, Hayward, was extremely helpful and courteous. He was on professional and on time. Hayward was able to resolve the issue quickly and even offered to assist with installing an outdoor cover on an electrical socket. I would highly recommend Colvin Electric and will be working with them again whenever I need electrical work on the house done.

    Colvin electric provided a great experience from the estimate through to completing the job without any surprises or additions. I needed to have a 240 volt line and outlet installed to my garage. Hayward arrived on time and was accommodating for my familys morning schedule. He completed the work efficiently and the whole installation looks great. Hayward also left me some extra line to handle any future upgrades I may need neatly tucked up. The new line has been working flawlesslyColvin provided updates by text message and email when your electrician is on his way with a photo so you know who to expect. The quote I received was reasonable and much better than the first quote I was given from someone else.

    Prompt and convenient scheduling was my first experience with Colvin Electric. On the day of service, I was impressed by the notifications 30 minutes beforehand to inform me that the electrician, Hayward, would be arriving soon. They also sent a pic, bio, and link to track his impending arrival. As a dog parent, this tracking information was very valuable. Hayward completed the job efficiently and thoroughly and was extremely easy to work with. Altogether, this was a positive experience, and we plan to use Colvin in the future.

    Colvin electric was incredible. I needed a fixtures done ( and on a 22.5 foot ceiling) and I also needed some options.     We are a small HOA that just installed new sub pumps and needed a company to run electric and connecting to a motor control panel on side of our building. We originally hired Salt and Light, they ran the power but refused to complete the job after the rain proved the panel was not communicating with the electric they ran. Salt and Light then went around the HOA to the management company and got payment athough we had not approved it and did not consider the job to be complete because the water wasnt pumping through control panel.Calling Colvin was great, the tech Ivan gave us a upfront price for the work and spent a whole day fixing the panel and making everything work. It calmed the situation down and really was a great experience. I have already called them to do more work for another project. +++++++

    My electrician, Dave Elder, really knew what he was doing! I am glad I called Colvin electric, as they were able to rewire my electrical problem and explained to me what was going on every step of the way. In other words, I wasnt made to feel like a dummy or a chump. I also appreciate that they warranty their work; it shows me they are comfortable with the quality of the work they are performing. Haywood, who has also been excellent in the past, installed an inlet for a generator and all of the needed changes to the main panel.     Pretty easy! I boarded my flight to NY this morning and by the time I landed I got a message that the work was done. I did not need to be there, nor did I have to explain anything.     After an aborted attempt by my wife and I to install a wifi-enabled light switch in our new garage apartment in the Brentwood neighborhood, we decided to enlist the assistance of an expert to accomplish this task for us. Turning to the Nextdoor app for electrician suggestions, it appeared that Colvin Electric had many satisfied customers, and we made an appointment with them late on Thursday, September 5 - the earliest that they could accommodate us was between 11:00 and 2:00 on Monday, September 9, which was acceptable to us. After scheduling the appointment, we promptly received a confirmation e-mail.On Monday at 2:00, we received a call from Michael, an office person, informing us that our service technician, Hayward, was delayed by complications with another customers job, and he would arrive at my house by 3:30. I was somewhat disappointed, but Michael was very polite and apologetic, and I assured him that a 3:30 arrival would be acceptable. I immediately received a text message from Colvin Electric that introduced the technician that would be arriving, including a photo and a short biography. A Google map was also embedded in the text, showing where the technician was currently in relation to my house.Hayward Smart, the Colvin technician, pulled into my driveway just after 3:00, introduced himself, listened carefully to what my electric issues were, and gave me a quote for the work. The price seemed fair, and we chatted while he worked - Hayward was neat, clean, intelligent and an engaging professional, and he certainly seemed to know his business well. He explained every step of what he was doing during the switch installation, and then afterward assisted me with setting up the app on my iPhone that controls the light switch functions. Everything worked perfectly. Hayward also rewired another 3-way light switch that had been problematic, and fixed that as well.We were mightily impressed with Colvin Electric, and I would not hesitate to recommend this fine company to anyone.     Initially my call was to just get an inspection of my electrical panel on the outside of my home in Lago Vista.Instead I got an education in why certain parts of the electrical system are what they are.My technician was very knowledgeable about his profession. Very kind very polite and answered all my questions politely.His dispatch department sent me a polite reminder 24 hours of my appointment and then sent a biography on my technician himself.His background in his profession, what he does in his personal life and this is a great company to deal with.Once he was done doing the inspection of my electrical panel, he made suggestions upon my inquiries and took my credit card payment on the spot and emailed me my receipt.I will definitely call them for any further future work I might like to do.     We woke up to learn all of the power to our office was completely out impacting our internet and wine fridge. Needless to say, we were eager to resolve the issue. I found Colvin Electric online and was lucky enough to get a same day appt (they had had a cancellation). First, I love that they text you when they’re en route and provide a picture and qualification summary of the technician assigned to you. Awesome feature.Our first technician Hayward was timely, professional and honest. He checked all the outlets in the office and said the outlet behind the wine fridge was likely the culprit but he couldn’t access it as the fridge had been professionally installed. Our next appointment I timed to have the refrigerator repair man and the electrician there at the same time. That’s not easy to do with lengthy arrival windows but Michael Galvez (Haywards manager) could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Candidly, the fridge repairman was extremely difficult to work with and Michael went above and beyond to help me manage an unnecessarily taxing situation. Michael was friendly, extremely knowledgeable in his trade, patient, and determined to get the job done right - which is exactly what he did. I honestly could not have been more thankful for him as a person and electrician that day. Bottom line, you get what you pay for with this company and I’ll be calling them for any future electrical work we require. MANY thanks again to Michael, Hayward and the whole Colvin Electric team.

    Wednesday morning May 15, 2019 I experienced major uncertainty about the unknown for getting electric power back into my house using all of the proper methods. I called Colvin Electric Company. My call was answered by Michael Galvez. He was going to be able to come over the next morning to look at the situation my electric breakers were in and discern the problem. An opening for Michael happened and he called with a request to come today, before my dental appointment. I agreed if it was in time so I could make the dental appointment on time.I was in a hurry as I had a dental appointment in about an hour. Michael arrived, very outgoing, confident and friendly. We looked at the breaker junction box as I explained most of the lights in the house were either blinking or did work at all. In the matter of 30 minutes or less, Michael had pointed out the process of electricity flow, which components work not working, what was weathered so badly replacement was required.Summarize of the pressure time due to my upcoming dental appointment, Michael displayed three choices on his handheld digital unit that had sets of numbers with details of key cost components for each choice.Further summary - I had years of experience in electronics and was very comfortable with Michaels explanation including cost, comfort, and payback.I felt comfortable then and now, seven hours later, I still feel like I made a great decision and made a great choice.Thank you Michael for your meaningful way of presentation and understanding. Tomorrow will be an exciting day for my wife and I.Ralph Eckwall

    I had a gfci outlet that was making strange tapping noises. I called another electrician and they told me it was a problem with the breaker panel which they supposedly fixed. Two days later the same noise. I called them back and they came out, checked everything out, and insisted nothing was wrong and that the noise was nothing to worry about. After a few weeks the noise got more constant and then another gfci outlet started making noise and then started constantly resetting. I decided to get a second opinion from another electrician so I tried Colvin. The guys they sent out did an excellent job with telling me what needed to be fixed, how much it would cost, doing the actual job in a timely manner, and then cleaning up after themselves, all for a fair price. I would definitely recommend Colvin to anyone looking for a good electrician.

    Outstanding service! The electrician Mr. Hayward was on time and within minutes he hit a reset button on my arc breaker and it fixed my electricity problem, to my bedroom outlets. He said it was no charge as he did not have to replace it. He said as a first time caller I would not be charged for the visit because no real work was performed. Future calls would cost a 49 dollar charge for coming out to inspect the problem. If work needs to be performed the 49 dollars would go towards the job. I will use them for sure in the future. Its been years since someone was that honest with me. He could of easily taken me for big bucks. Thanks!
