I suggested A-1 Heating & Cooling to my Dad as I myself use their services when needed. He took my suggestion to heart and was absolutely pleased with his new American Standard Heat and A/C unit that was installed at his home. I will say this… They are a great company with great technicians (Very knowledgeable and polite), great family owned business, and has fantastic value for the money. We thought that we were having a problem with our air conditioning unit. Called A-1, and they had their tech, Clayton, come to check it out. He arrived on time and was extremely professional. He checked every part of our unit and found nothing. Instead of saying that there was nothing was wrong with the unit and leaving, he searched and searched until he found the problem. It was an outside leak in our gas line and fumes were building up in our wall. We immediately called the gas company and Clayton was spot on about the problem. We will forever be grateful to Clayton and A-1. A-1 is truly the best for all of your heating/cooling needs!!!!

Our AC was making a loud grinding noise. Scheduled an appointment with another local company. They sent out a technician who told us nothing was wrong and charged us the service fee. Our AC continued to make such an awful, loud noise we could not run it. Contacted A-1, who sent someone out the same day and he found the issue within minutes. He was even proactive and ordered an additional part just in case it would need replaced. We would definitely use A-1 again.

They know what they are doing and are easy to work with. On the last two occasions Clayton has responded to system problems. In a matter of minutes he was able to analyze the problem and implement a quick solution. Just good people to work with.

My furnace shuddered and stopped working one cold morning while home with my kids. I called another local company that I had used in the past but they weren’t able to even come look at it until following day. Having three small boys at home, that was not going to work. I called A-1. They came out that afternoon. The tech, Clayton, immediately recognized the issue, called the part in, picked it up and put the new one on within an hour. Super nice people, the whole way through. The price was more than fair. I would absolutely recommend them. So very thankful!

From the office staff setting up the estimate, Larry coming to do the estimate and the installation team putting in our Accuclean, our experience was great. Larry explained the pros and cons of the system so that my wife and I could make a decision. The installation team was very friendly and professional. Our 25-year-old air conditioner has been making funny noises. We hesitatingly called A - 1 Heating & Cooling and made an appointment, resigning ourselves to the idea that it was probably time for our old unit to cross the rainbow bridge.For the second time in three years, they cleaned it out, checked all the parts, lovingly patted it and said, Its definitely old, but it still has some life in it!They could have easily told us it was done, and charged us a used car for a new one. But they didnt. And thats why we call Beckie every time. When that sad day finally comes, we will call her again!

I’ve owned my house for 9 years. I’ve always called them for issues with my ac or heat. They replaced my furnace in January 2019, and before that had been nursing the old one as long as they could until I finally had to replace it. I recently sold my home, the new owners did a walk through yesterday and the ac wasn’t working. I hadn’t been in Parkersburg in months but I was driving in for the closing last night. I called them immediately and they promised to squeeze me in between there other appointments. The technician was Colton, he showed up, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it in about 30 minutes. I can’t promise you’ll always get that quick of a response but I can promise they’ll do everything they can to help you. They are A-one in customer service. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

Fantastic customer service and installation staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A couple years back our unit had stopped working so we had a different company come look at it and they said we needed to replace it immediately. I decided to obtain quotes and A-1 came and told us that wasn’t the case it was merely iced over and got us back in business immediately. We were ready to buy a new unit and they could have sold it to me and I never would have known. That honestly had me call them from then on and when it finally was time to purchase a new unit, I didn’t look anywhere else. They did a great job and quickly. Highly recommend them!

Our central a/c unit died on Labor Day in the 91 degree heat. A technician came the next day and scheduled a replacement on Saturday. We were surprised when he called and said he could be there in a half hour (Thursday) two whole days earlier than scheduled. We love our new unit. It is so quiet and the house is cooling down. A1 service and we will definitely call A1 Heating and Cooling the next time we need anything. Wonderful, wonderful company, courteous and efficient technicians and office staff.

If I could give a higher rating than a 5 star I would and I will definitely call on them for all of my Heating and Cooling needs. They were very responsive and professional. The technician took his time to explain everything. He completed the maintenance on our system very thoroughly. In addition to the great service and quality provided the cost was minimal. Thank you.

Technician fixed problem with bad capacitor that was keeping condenser fan from running, hosed out condenser coils, and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it while he worked. In addition, he fixed broken lock nut on conduit to unit. Price was fair and our 25+ year old unit is now working again. Excellent job!
