    Chris and his team did an amazing job on our kitchen remodel. From start to finish they were professional, friendly, timely and courteous. Chris really listened to what we wanted and created the design we were looking for. The cabinets they built were high quality ( much better than you can buy in a store). They finished within the time and budget that was estimated. I will definitely be calling them for our next project.

    When I say that my wife and I did our homework in choosing a company to finish our basement, that would be an understatement. We interviewed at least a dozen independent contractors and some of the big name companies as well. Deciding on trusting Chris and his team at CA Custom Woodworking proved to be a wise choice. It helps that Chris speaks to you like an actual person, as opposed to someone trying to make a sale, but that is not enough to make such a decision alone. We have an acquaintance that used Chris in the past and they encouraged us to come to their home and see the craftsmanship for ourselves. We were impressed!! My wife and I invited Chris back for a 2nd interview and decided CA Custom Woodworking was our company.-When they gave us a start date, they started on that date.-When they said they would show up at a specific time, they showed up.-When we asked for advice on certain things we were uneducated on, Chris was there with professional advice.-When they said the job would be done by a date, the job was done by that date.****Most Importantly****-When Chris told me a price, the end job was that price.So, would I recommend CA Custom Woodwork? Absolutely! I would recommend this company to anyone that would listen. Chris and his team were great from the beginning to the end.

    I recently had Chris and his team build two cabinets for my kitchen. It is absolutely beautiful!! He was so patient with me, as I knew what I wanted, but wasnt sure how to explain it. His experience and suggestions were perfect!! What he built was a perfect match of my old 1997 cabinets. Chris is straight up professional and kept in touch with me on the progress being made. If you are contemplating having something custom made, I absolutely highly recommend CA Custom Woodworking!!You will be so glad you did!!! I have gotten so many compliments on my cabinets!!     Chris and his team made my dream office and mudroom come true. Chris listen to all my ideas and review my sketches and turn them into amazing and practical pieces of art (see pictures). They were nice and respectful. They finished the work on schedule and budget. We will definitely hire them for our next custom woodwork house project.

    We started our journey to remodel our kitchen in the fall of 2020. We had a basic idea of style, wood, finish and layout. We did our due diligence researching different kitchen cabinet companies and then met with Chris. We were very satified with our meeting and later asked Chris to start the process. Chris and Lucas have been wonderful to work with and always pleasurable. The pandemic slowed down our journey but we finally installed the new kitchen cabinets in May 2021. We are extremely pleased and excited about our new kitchen. We did some major renovations to enhance the process while the cabinets were being built. We had some changes with layout and the wood finish was challenging but Chris was with us every step of the way. Chris brought out several finish samples till we agreed on the final one. Chris and Lucas arrived for install and the process was faultless. Lucas finished the installation on day 2. We are completely satisfied with CA Custom Woodworking and tell everyone about our experience. We have had several compliments already on the cabinets. Thank you very much Chris and Lucas for your highly qualified workmanship.

    Chris and his team just completed a wall unit for us and they did amazing work building and installing the unit; We could not be happier with the finished product. Not only do we love the wall-unit/media center - we also really enjoyed working with Chris and Lucas. Chris listened to our ideas and made some great suggestions to improve on what we wanted.     Chris and his team did a wonderful job on our custom fireplace surround built-ins. Not only are the built-ins beautiful, but Chris made the entire process great. He came with ideas and helped talk us through the entire project. Chris’s customer service is outstanding, it made us really comfortable to do business with him. We are already recommending him to others and we are planning to have him back for future projects.

    Chris came out to help us design some built in bookcases on both sides of a fireplace plus a built in-bar in our newly remodeled family room. He spent time explaining our options and then thoroughly took measurements. He returned with sketches and after we made some minor modifications he measured everything again. When he returned with Lucas to install everything it all fit as planned and looks great. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the professionalism and craftsmanship of C A Woodworking.

    Our den needed built in cabinets to maximize our storage. After meeting with Chris, we came up with a great design to do just that. We LOVE the beautiful hickory cabinets that Chris and his team built and installed. Their workmanship is outstanding - attending to every detail!     Chris helped us design and then built a Timber Tech deck for us. He also installed a hardtop octagonal gazebo. When we first met Chris he came to our home and sat down with us and looked at the design we had in mind for our deck. He then took measurements and helped us make changes that would optimize the space and design that we were looking for. He worked with our village to make sure the deck was in compliance with village codes. He ordered the materials, obtained the permit and set the date for construction to begin. The gazebo we had purchased required some extra hardware and skill in assembling. Chris problem solved and made the necessary changes to install it properly and securely. During the whole process, Chris kept us informed about where he was in the process and got input from us if there were any small changes. He was always courteous and professional. He paid attention to detail and took his time so the job was done professionally and correctly. Our deck is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t be more happy with it!We would highly recommend hiring Chris. He is a pleasure to work with and he does outstanding work. If the opportunity arises in the future, we would not hesitate to hire Chris again.

    Chris and his crew produced a custom cherry double vanity and a sizeable cherry built-in closet for our master bath. As a hobbyist woodworker myself, I can attest to the outstanding craftsmanship of his work. From the wood selection, grain orientation, perfect fit of every drawer, the dovetailed joints and a drop-dead gorgeous job with the finish, these are superb examples of what custom cabinetry should be.     I normally would not post a review, however, Chris asked me to write a review of his work and Im happy to do so because of his excellent work and professionalism. CA CWs provided outstanding customer service and the finished product proved to be of very high quality. Chris worked with my tough schedule to help me finish my project in a limited timeframe. Again, his work was excellent, but just as important to me, he was a professional and I felt comfortable having him in the house (even when we werent home). I would not hesitate to recommend CA CW for your carpentry needs.

    After looking in furniture stores and online for several months for an entertainment center with bookshelves and cabinets for our living room and not finding what we wanted, we found Chris and CA Custom Woodworking online and nearby.     Our laundry room was no longer functional for our family. We had loose tiles, poor lighting and lack of space for coats, backpacks, etc. When my husband and I first talked about updating this room, I had spent quite a bit of time on Pinterest researching lockers, white cabinetry, countertops, flooring and lighting. We had our vision for the room, however, we needed the right company to pull it all together. I had heard great things about Chris from a neighbor and after seeing his work firsthand, we knew we wanted to work with him and his company to transform the space. Chris and both his immediate and contracted team were trustworthy, thorough and very patient with me as I made decisions along the way. We love our new laundry/ mudroom, especially the custom built lockers, that included added features that we never would have thought of. They turned out even more beautiful than the images of example lockers I shared with him. We would highly recommend CA Custom Woodworking.     What a wonderful experience! Chris was great to work with. He listened and built exactly what I was hoping for, actually exceeding my expectations.     We recently had CA Woodworking do a full wall bookshelf with some lower cabinetry. It was unique because we wanted the space to act as toy storage (to hide the unsightly colorful toys and small games), bookshelves the kids could reach, yet be able to transform into a formal classic piece once our kids were grown. Chris had some great ideas making our piece look symmetrical and timeless. He took into consideration having young kids and making our bookcase everything it needed to be. We had off white trim throughout the home and he matched the book case perfectly. Everything about the process was painless. Chris and his team did a fantastic job leaving the room “move in” ready. We couldn’t be happier and will recommend CA Woodworking to all our friends.

    We hired Chris to convert our kitchen desk area into a dry bar. The project turned out perfect and we couldnt be happier. Of course his craftsmanship was outstanding, but what I liked most is Chris made time for my project and there was never a lack of communication. These things were lacking from other contractors before I was referred to Chris. If I ever require his services again, CA Custom Woodworking would be my first call.

    Chris constructed built in bookshelf cabinet units on both sides of our fireplace, along with a new mantle and recessed paneling above the fireplace.
