Solar-Ray did an excellent job Installing my solar panels. All of their employees were friendly and respectful. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I’ve had it done. My electric bill is low and I’m keeping my carbon footprint clean. I had a roof leak that wasn’t even their problem. They have come out numerous times to help me fix it. Finally figured out it was wind driven rain coming in through my vent. I can’t say enough about the integrity and helpfulness of this company. On August 16,2024, I scheduled a Service Tune-ups preventive maintenance checks services inspection offered by Solar Ray to ensure uninterrupted power during and after hurricane season for our safety. We recently had solar power installed on our home in Orlando. We looked at several companies and settled on Solar Ray. For the most part we considered; cost, value, stability, reputation, and equipment. What we didnt factor in was customer service. Our sales rep, Mustafa Subasi, was absolutely awesome. With very little, pressure, Mustafa came to our house, talked to us about our current and future power needs, the Solar Ray company and their equipment. While sitting with us, he put together a draft system and talked over all the benefits. He came back within a day or so with a final solution, thats when we signed.The installation was flawless and was done in less than two days. Mustafa was there most of the time making sure we were happy. After the installation was complete, their field supervisor came by to inspect the quality of the installation.After we were connected to the grid, Mustafa monitored our system to insure it was working correctly. We had no idea he was doing this until I found him outside looking at the inverters. When I asked him what was up, he told me he noticed an imbalance in the power and wanted to check it out. Before we even knew anything was wrong, Mustafa already had a service tech repairing the issue. It was a simple fuse that went bad and was quickly fixed.Our system has been working great for the past few months. We are generating more power than we use. We are also saving CO and helping the environment. To be honest, I wasnt even thinking about that when we decided to go solar, but its such a great side benefit and gives us a warm feeling about the decision to install solar.I cant stress enough how satisfied we are with Solar Ray, Mustafa and the installation crew. I was nervous about attempting this as we are out of state owners and were not able to be present to supervise the process. Best decision weve made with our new home. 6 months after install and were still loving our Solar Ray PV system! No electric bill each month and generating extra. Still checks in to make sure we are happy, and we are! Received the government refund through our taxes already and was easy to do.

BEST Solar company in Central FL! Dennis is the best salesman ever, Ask for him! Carl the project manager and again such a nice genuine person. It’s hard to find GREAT customer service today but this entire company is setting the bar very high! I had 3 large companies give me prices, Tesla, Sunrun, Solar-bear and Solar-Ray. I Chose Solar-Ray because there pricing was clearly laid out and very affordable to my needs, and there open channels of customer service are impeccable! No hidden fees or costs, very upfront pricing. Dennis and Carl would answer my calls and texts through the entire process, and made me feel very comfortable with such a large investment. There was never a time I could not reach them. Dennis even gave me a Sense monitor for Free. look it up, Sense.com. It’s a MUST have and costs over $350, and I got it added for free! More amazing is that the install took only 1 day! I am very happy with these guys and Highly recommend them.

The customer service, Dennis Aguado (sales representative) and the technicians that came to my house, were nice, professional, and knowledgeable. They arrived on time and only took one day to complete the project. Also, I was given great in-service knowledge for maintenance of the system. I believe they are reasonable priced for the product (we shall see in the years to come).My only present complaint is that the panels are not too aesthetically pleasing. Shopped around for systems and got large swing in pricing from other places. Solar Ray was the best for the size and features i wanted. Price should not be the only factor in your decision. We had our system installed in 2015 and all of it was just the best experience! This company truly has the heart of a teacher! They don’t just throw numbers and words at you and then shove products at you (like some other companies)! They want you to be informed and choose what’s best for you! We didn’t feel like we were sold something... we felt like we were educated and made a great purchase. We were in total control throughout the entire process!When the system was installed, they arrived on time, and ready to work. They were courteous, engaging, and professional! Not a curse word uttered and they left the job site cleaner than they found it!About a year after, We had a lawnmower catch fire in our garage. Solar Ray came out and disconnected the fuses and panels so the repairs could be made to our home by other contractors. Once that was completed, we gave them a call and they came back out to hook it all back up. Truly blown away by their kindness, service standards, and work ethic!! Amazing experience start to finish. Everything went almost as scheduled and Solar Ray made changes to accommodate the install when we ran into issues. Every problem we ran into was a minor issue. Without asking for a solution they were on top of it and always went above and beyond to resolve the hiccups. I cant say enough good about this company and the employees that work for Solar Ray. I shopped 4 different companies. Solar Ray was right in the middle price wise, but was the only company that came out to survey my home. Solar Ray identified issues with trees in my neighbors yard that the other companies did not. All companies wanted to do it over the phone and not take the extra time to do a thorough job with a site visit. If I had to do it over again no question I would not hesitate to contract with Solar Ray.

Solar-Ray may be technically proficient, but their customer service stinks. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Once they have pocketed the funds, a customer is forgotten. I had to call and call and call the company at every turn and they would not communicate resulting in them showing up at my house on several occasions when I was out. They still have not completed my job after several weeks of promises and the last time I called they said that someone was out of town. Can you imagine an established company not being able to complete their jobs because one employee is out of town! Can you imagine if I have to call in the future for some repairs!After my first review I was called by the officials at Solar-Ray and was impressed with the explanations that were given to me. It seems as though there were some mis-ups during my installations. I was convinced that they simply needed to streamline their procedures and let information come from one source. Since then I had two maintenance calls to Solar-Ray and was impressed with their response. I believe that they deserve the 3 stars that I am giving them. I would now recommend this solar company to any future customer.

About 2 hours later I got a call back from the representative his name was Dennis. Usually everyone will have doubt in mind whether to go solar or not in the state of florida and whether it will be costly. I was in the same boat but after talking to Solar Ray representative on my needs, he was able to explain me in detail and recommended how much KW will be needed for me. My wife did all the Solar Company reviews in the area and Solar Ray was the best. We ended up going with them and couldnt be happier. Everything they told us came true. From Alex in Sales, the Installers were prompt and courteous and left the job site as good as they found it. Carl the end electrician was great. Very patient while we set everything up and answered alot of my questions after the fact. Down the road I plan to add more panels and Solar Ray will be getting the call again.Would like to do a add on to the above. I liked how much our first 25 panels were installed we decided to add another 12. Same as before, professional and clean with the install. Daves crew for the second time did a great job. Price was right were it should have been and we now have a system that should get us to a zero monthly bill. We also gave our neighbor all there info and he also did the same system and Solar Ray sent us a referral check that I didnt even know about until it showed up. David and the entire team at Solar-Ray were patient and answered many questions as i reviewed multiple solar options in making the decision to proceed with Solar-Ray for the installation. i highly recommend Solar-Ray for your Solar Design and installation needs!In the end, it was an easy decision that I look back on and know i got right for the following reasons.1) Solar-Ray was not only the most professional team to provide an estimate but they also beat the competition by 15-20%. I waited exactly 30 days to write this review because I wanted to share my true experience with Solar Ray. In January of 2021 I contacted Solar Ray inc and inquired about a solar system for my house. Additionally in January 2021 I made several inquiries to at least 11 other solar companies in Central Florida. I must say doing business with Solar Ray Inc was probably the best decision I made as a homeowner. Vladimir made the solar decision as smooth as possible. There were no sales gimmicks involved, they let me know what I needed for my house and explain why I didnt need all the other upgrades to my solar PV system that other companies were trying to upsell me on. Once I received my estimates from all companies including Solar Ray Inc, none of the other companies were willing to come close to Solar Ray Inc pricing and quality of materials. All other companies insisted I needed at least 30 solar panels to offset my electric cost. Solaray gave me 19 panels based on my actual electric usage per year. Not only was Solar Ray inc and Vladimir honest, they were very detailed about the system size I needed and the benefits it would provide. Vladimir came out and did a site survey of my roof at no charge to me while all other companies wanted a consultation fee. After three months being in contact with Vladimir from Solar Ray Inc, my wife and I decided to go solar in April of 2021. Over the period of 10 weeks that we were deciding on our solar decision we never felt pressured by Vladimir or the company. It seemed as if the information being given to us buy Solar Ray Inc were based on facts that will provide true benefits to my household, not a sales pitch like some of the other companies. Im truly grateful the service that Solar Ray Inc and Vladimir have provided my family! Deciding to go solar was a big decision, choosing the right company was an even bigger decision and in the end, Solar Ray Inc is the best company to go with for your solar PV system needs! The professionalism, the honesty, and the quality of their work surpassed my expectations! I had a 8.5kw system installed and its awesome. Literally no issues with the process at all. My house doesnt face the optimal direction for sunlight but they made it work with minor cost adjustments. My system now makes more energy then I can use ( by design) so I will be covered for the future. Simply amazing service. Be aware that there is an increasing anti solar movement (mostly political) As seen here with the 1 star review of this company. I wish I could give a 6 star review to compensate. Thanks solar-ray!

Solar Ray was very professional and installed a 11.75 KWH system in one day. Michael Brown designed a system to be Net Zero and after a month he was correct. After several weeks we noticed a off color panel, we brought this to Michaels attention a the next day 2 techs came and cleaned all 47 panels.We highly recommend Solar Ray as solar system designer and installer. Seeing our bill plummet the way it did is such a good feeling.The guys installing it did a 10/10 job. They were so fast and did such a good looking job I cant help but applaud them. The electricians, who eventually came, also did a standout job.Because they use SMA String Inverters they are much less expensive than everyone else and if you have full sun do not let anyone try to convince you that you need some other kind of more expensive system as you will get nearly 0 extra benefit. If you have partial or full shade you will have some do some math as there are some benefits with other systems, although SMA ShadeFix definitely reduces the gap in those benefit/drawbacks.I need to preface that the sections The Irritating and The Bad are more gripes that only reduce my rating by 0.2. Once all this passes/passed (getting batteries and getting solar turned on) we dont have any issues at all.The Irritating:So I cant hold this against Solar Ray entirely, which is why I am putting it under irritating. JEA doesnt net meter, they only credit fuel cost (30% of total cost), which means I get to see the joy of my production being 97% of our consumption but our coverage is only 52%. Until batteries finally come available again, we could have gone with a system almost half the size and had almost the same result. So if you arent planning on getting batteries and your company doesnt net meter seriously keep that in mind; you can reduce your system size fairly dramatically and have no change in your solar coverage.The Bad:The actual communication between Solar Ray and JEA/Duval County wasnt great. We had our solar on our roof for almost two months before it was actually turned on due to things either not being scheduled or the electricians and JEA not being here at the same time so constant rescheduling.

I am somewhat of an early adopter of solar energy to supply as much of our electricity needs as feasible for our home. We have been using the services of Michael Brown at Solar-Ray for around 14 years now. I met him at a trade show at the Orange County Convention Center in 2005 where I was specifically looking for a solar provider. What sold me on using his services was his honesty, integrity, and knowledge of how to provide what we needed.When he got on our roof for an evaluation, he explained how it would be unethical to install a PV System there at that time The shade on our south-facing roof from a large oak tree in our neighbor’s yard would seriously degrade the usefulness of any solar array placed there.Fortunately, our neighbor wanted that tree removed, so we obtained permission from the HOA to remove it. This allowed Solar-Ray to install our first small PV System on our roof along with a battery backup system in the garage to give us electricity during hurricanes and other power interruptions. Even though we were very pleased with our PV System, we replaced it about a year later with one twice as large using the services of Solar-Ray to provide and install it. Since then, about two years ago we had Solar-Ray add more capacity to our PV system which has worked out very well for us also.For the past 14 years, when we have had a question or needed something looked into, Michael always responded very promptly. If something needed to be fixed, he took care of it immediately. If you are at all interested in going solar, I would definitely recommend that you contact Solar-Ray. Even if you’ve talked to other solar contractors, you won’t be sorry when you contact Solar-Ray before making your final decision on where to get your solar electric system.

I started my solar search after my neighbor got a system for 30k+. I started with the company he used. They explained the systems and tried to also sell me a pool pump and water heater for well over 30k. I only wanted a PV solar system, none of the other nonsense. I continued to interview 10 more companies including Solar-Ray. Most all want to sell micro inverters, unnecessary for my application (and most others). Many include the federal rebate as part of their price. Solar-Ray’s salesman/owner was by far the most knowledgably, which makes sense since he’s been doing this for 20 years or so. Solar-Ray are also 1 of 2 that gave me an ITEMIZED quote…..no haggling. And we didn’t have to as it was also the cheapest quote by several thousand dollars. Part of the reason is that they don’ t use the micro-inverters.Solar-Ray just finished last week and my 10 KW (AC) system is peaking right at 10 KV, just as promised. The panels are not the most efficient or highest output, but they are likely the biggest solar bang for the buck. The town inspector stated it’s the best solar installation he has ever seen and was particularly impressed with the conduit bending. Other contractors use cheaper plastic or flexible conduit. The work was done in 2 days. Workers were professional and worked safely on my 2-story metal roof. They tied off as they worked. A couple minor flaws were fixed before they left. The Solar-Ray inspector Carl was extremely pleasant and helpful when rechecking the system and setting up the communications. The office did all the paper work, permitting, and application with FP&L.I rarely have the opportunity to give such high-flying reviews, but I was completely satisfied with Solar-Ray from beginning to end: cost, quality, professionalism. Can’t imagine there is much better in the state of Florida

I had my system installed by Solar-Ray in 2018 with no issues since. In 2023 I had my roof replaced by my insurance and Solar-Ray removed and reinstalled the panels perfectly. They also upgraded some components and wiring for free.I want to address some concerns I keep seeing here for the bad reviews. Saying Solar-Ray ghosted you is not possible with this company. I have dealt with them several times and there has always been good communication. Also, Solar-Ray NEVER would recommend installing an inverter inside your home. However, they will install it anywhere you want, but they inform you the downsides of doing so. The one negative review saying she hears a buzz from the inverter it 100% her fault.Anyway, if you go with this company they will do you right. Anyone saying otherwise is lying or only giving you one side of a very disingenuous story.

My partner and I were very interested in solar energy and how we could use it to control cost in our retirement years. I went about researching how they held up in bad weather, what it cost to have them removed if the roof needed repair, would the roof need repair, could they stand hail and so forth and so on. I talked to at least three reputable companies, Solar-Ray was among them. The other two companies wanted to sell me micro-inverters as the newest up and coming technology and quire frankly Solar-Rays salesman put me off a bit when I asked him if he was quoting micro-iinverter or a single main inverter. He strongly recommended the single inverter but told me he could sell me the micro inverter for the same price.Quite frankly, Solar-Rays cost per Kilowatt hour was by far the most attractive. I further researched some of their larger constructions and calculated what I felt I needed for our property and ordered a system from them.I couldnt be happier. After about a year and a half we decided after calculating that we had spent during the entire year about $200 additionally during that year for electricity to purchase and additional 4 panels. Our original configuration was 20 panels or about a 5.3 KH system. We moved up to a 6.4 system with the addition of 4 panels and discovered during the next year that we were maxing out just over 5 KW something that did not go unnoticed by Solar Rays staff and president, Michael Brown.One night he called me and informed me that he too was reviewing our numbers and realized we needed a larger inverter to handle our increased production. He put his team on it and before the end of the week they had replaced our original inverter with one that could handle the increased production. We couldnt be more pleased. I continue to tell my friends about our system and attempt to point out that we arent creating dollars, we are creating kilowatts and as such as the costs go up they have little or no affect on our bill as we arent making X amount of dollars of power, we are making X amount of Kilowatts that we will continue to use.I know this is long but on a side note its nice to receive a phone call from the CEO of a company, one telling you that the system can do better and making it so and two, saying I had a tough week and wanted to talk to someone that I know will have good things to say after such a difficult week,Summation is they have delivered what they promised and much more. I bought my house a couple of months ago and did a lot of research to get solar installed. I could not find a reason not to do it. So I reached out to a couple of Solar companies, from several different sources and Solar-Ray was one of the companies. My experience with them was very nice. Alex Miller, the sales manager, was great and did a great job. He was very open and honest from the beginning and did not try to use deceptive sales tactics to earn my business, but not only that, he made himself available and assisted me throughout the entire process. It was much different than a sales person that after the sale is made he is done with you. The company made sure the entire process was smooth and that I was being taken care of. During and after installation the owner of the company came out to my house himself a couple of times to make sure everything was working properly. In addition, after installation I experienced issues with Enphase Panel connectivity and they did not leave me hanging, they did everything possible to make sure the system would work well. After the utility company turned on the net metering in my account, the proof of the great service they provided was there...no more crazy electricity bills. Just the minimun charge from OUC (Grid connection fee - every customer has to pay it) and the monthly installment, that is it. Very satisfied with Solar-Ray and its entire team.

Mike and his team spent the time and let me talk to other homeowners needed for me to feel comfortable with their company.Firstly, Solar-Ray has been a fantastic company after the sale. We had an issue with a panel and they came out and replaced the panel (something big had cracked it). Also, the equipment they sell is fantastic. That panel was still producing electricity even though it was cracked.There is only one thing I would have done differently, I would have had 3 smaller 4K inverters in lieu of the 1 small and 1 big. It would have afforded me 3 secure plugs instead of only 2 when there are outages.I recommend SolarRay. They are well informed, well designed, take the time for you, and support their products and installation.

Top notch experience across all facets. It started when Mustafa Subasi came to the house for an initial consultation and estimate based on our energy needs. Initially we were singularly focused on how much sunlight collection we could achieve on the roof and whether we had the necessary space on the roof. He helped give us a two-fold focus such that we were also giving consideration on how to reduce our current energy footprint. Over the course of the engineering process I had several queries and he was very responsive and helpful - usually within minutes and at most an hour or two. As a result we are pretty confident that we have reduced our overall energy needs by a solid chunk.The next step was when Dave and his installation team came over to handle the installation. Their worksmanship (for a layman) looks to be of very high quality and had no issues passing inspection the following day. They were all very courteous, friendly and efficient as they knocked out the whole installation in about 8 hours. Upon completion Dave shared information about the inverters and which inverter was tied to which arrays because we have some facing South and a second set facing both East and West.The last piece was Carl following up in preparation for the inspection and also sharing some advice regarding our older main electrical panel on the outside of the house. He also gave an in-depth overview of the basic operation of the inverters and how to view the dashboard information on the portal for insights about how they are performing. Now we wait for Duke to come out and put in the bi-directional meter so we can go live.All around solid, professional experience with everyone and highly recommend to anyone thinking about solar.

I spent hours researching residential PV solar power before contacting several companies. Of the several companies I met, Solar-Ray quoted the best price and their field representative Mustafa was the most knowledgeable and confident about the system he was proposing. Several other companies sent salespeople who seemed to have no real involvement after making the sale. That is not the way I felt with Solar-Ray.I originally called Solar-Ray because I was looking for an option to have power when the grid is down. Why go solar if you are still dependent on the electric company’s repair schedule during an outage or after a storm? I read another review of Solar-Ray online about the Sunny Boy inverters they use and their ability to produce some power when cut off from the grid. This seemed like a great solution as batteries are too expensive and unlikely to give any return on investment.After meeting Mustafa, I realized that other companies are so expensive because they try to sell everyone micro inverters or optimizers, which increase the number of things that can go wrong in the system and are unnecessary unless you have substantial shading or varying amounts of shading. Fortunately I have a sunny roof, so that expense was completely unnecessary despite what other companies told me. Solar-Ray was the only company that didn’t try to up-sell me.Solar-Ray kept all of their promises. They installed the system in about 3 weeks (other companies said 8-10). After inspections and waiting for OUC to connect the system, I was up and running in just over a month.Watching the output over the last few days, I have been averaging 55-60kWh per day.
