I needed a chandelier installed, so I called Berks Electrical. They sent an electrician named Steve to my home to do the job. Steve was very professional and took pride in his work. It was tricky to get it to the right height, but Steve persisted and got it right. When the job was finished, he hauled away the old light fixture and packing materials, leaving the work area clean. They charged a fair price for the amount of work involved. Highly recommended.

Recently I had Anthony from Berk’s come out to replace a light and fan in my bathroom. He did an amazing job finishing the repair in a timely manner. He also made sure the rest of the items in my bathroom were protected. Once he completed the repair he cleaned everything up and made sure nothing was left a mess. I so appreciated it and would definitely recommend for future work! Thank you!

We needed to have an electric vehicle outlet installed in our garage so my husband John contacted Berk’s electrical. We have used their service a few times and have been very happy with them. Steve Martin arrived to do the job within the window provided and he was very professional, friendly, neat and careful during the installation. It went faster than I expected and I am really happy with the finished job. Steve took the time to show me the new breakers that he installed in our panel and how to properly reset them. He also labeled them neatly. He then showed the outlet to me and tested each opening with a meter to demonstrate that it was properly grounded as well as providing the correct voltage. I was very pleased with Steve’s work and would love to have him back to complete other jobs.

I experienced a GFI problem in my garage. I called Berks to replace it. When the electrician, Steve Martin, got to my house he ran a complete trouble shoot of the circuit in my garage. Steve determined that the existing service demand exceeded the circuit breaker capacity.Steve explained in very a understandable manner what the problem was and what it would take to remedy the problem. The estimate to complete adding another circuit and GFI was very reasonable and the work was completed in a timely manner.Steve Martin was a very personable, polite and professional electrician. Steve showed his knowledge and experience in diagnosing the problem and fixing the problem. All that and in addition Steve left the workplace cleaner than when he started.I wholeheartedly recommend Berks Electric and Steve Martin if you have an electrical problem.

I called Berks about installing two programmable light switches in our house for our front porch light and out Christmas tree outlets. They went out of their way to get to us a few days earlier than we anticipated and showed up ready to go. We were the last job of the day for Hugo, who was still energetic, friendly, and efficient at 4 pm! He installed the switches, made sure they were programmed the way we wanted, and was super nice to our little 15-year-old cockerpoo. The price was very good for the work done. We are very happy with Berks and will use them again if we need electrical work in the future.

Very friendly scheduling staff. Received a return call within ten minutes, an appointment the next day. The services provided were exceptional. The electrician, Michael, diagnosed the problems immediately. He gave a fair quote, did the work quickly, was very neat/clean. Berk’s Electrical & Lighting is absolutely the Best of the Best! We had a large custom built ultrasonic cutting machine in our factory for two years waiting for the manufactures to clear Covid travel restrictions into the USA from Italy. The manufacturer was to provide 4 to 6 weeks advanced notice of arrival. Well… everything went wrong, and we had to scramble to find a company to facilitate the electrical run & hookup in 4 days. We had to dissemble one machine, have the electricians perform some of the work, then reassemble the new machine and then complete the electrical drop & subsequent final hook-up.Some companies took a day just to respond to our initial call, some companies said they couldn’t get to our project for weeks & others didn’t reply at all. Luckily Berk’s Electrical & Lighting has an actual office staffed with delightful and knowledgeable people. They were there to save us from absolute potential disaster. Berk’s had a knowledgeable representative come survey our site, our unusual machine’s power needs as well as the delicate timing requirements. At the initial survey they accepted the job, all it’s complexities & our ridiculous time restraints. Berk’s saved us from having to wait 6 months until the manufacturers next trip to the States. Berk’s Electrical & Lighting’s installers showed up to perform a step-down power conversation, conduit run & a ceiling drop with a 440 V, 3 Phase P-N-P-+ (whatever all that means) & the machine hook up.Disaster fell on first day of installation, Berk’s discovered & the manufacturer confirmed, all the provided electrical requirements were incorrect. Berk’s Electrical & Lighting was on top of everything in blazing speed. They found an alternative power location, located & acquired a very unusual SOS power cable as a temporary solution which allowed for the continuation of our machine’s installation. Another crew showed up to provide a 100ft conduit run and the new power drop location. We had 3 different crews working over the course of our project and all understood the project prior to their arrival, were experienced in their profession, clean & considerate. Having ran a manufacturing company for over 30 years, we’ve used a over a dozen electrical contactors as our needs have changed & none of them had ever had as many obstacles to overcome as Berk’s Electrical & Lighting had to deal with… and none of them has ever been as pleasant, professional, and pliable as Berk’s. They will now be our only source for all our electrical work going forward.

Two electricians, Kyle and Nicholas, showed up right on time. They were polite, efficient, and friendly. They listened really well to my explanation of what was going on, checked everything out, and had the problem fixed in under 45 minutes. Weve called Berks for years now when we have the occasional electrical problem, and theyve always been terrific. Happy to report they remain as great as ever.

The claim was wrongfully denied based on the other companies diagnosis but I am happy to have had Berk do the work. I feel good that the work was done properly and by rightfully high rated company. I recommend Berk!

Frontier told us we needed a new phone/internet CAT 5 cable run inside our home. We contacted Berks and scheduled a diagnostic assessment. Turned out it is a Frontier problem and no CAT 5 cable would work with their DSL router connection. Berks office staff and technicians were A+.
