Mike and his crew did an amazing job on our new deck. They showed up promptly every day and cleaned up all areas they worked at the end of the day. We made some modifications to the design during construction, but Mike and his team accommodated every one and even went out of their way to provide some work that wasnt part of the original scope.The whole process was smooth from our initial consultation and estimate, the whole construction process, and all the background work like scope changes, permits, warranty, etc.All in all, Mike and his team were professional, enthusiastic, and amazing to work with!

Mike Jansen and team did an excellent job building our deck and helping with a walkway that needed replacing.Mike built a deck for us in Nebraska in 2015. We moved shortly after that. Honestly, the deck helped us sell that house so quickly. We moved back in 2023 and called Mike to build another deck. It’s beautiful!! Everything he mentioned happened at the timeframe he spoke about. Extraordinary team.

Impressed and satisfied with the entire experience from the review of Mikes portfolio, initial visit and concept discussion (Including our selection choice of quality materials), the initial and final quote, the handling of our city permits process, the bump forward of construction scheduling, and the team-oriented construction timeline (all of 2-3 days!). The final product exceeded our expectations, and the quality attention to details. Upon completion and final walk-through, our home has been transformed to now include additional living space that conforms to the overall construction theme of our hose such that one would have thought the home was originally built with the new front covered porch addition!.

This was the second deck that Mike Jensen Custom Decks, Inc. has built for us, on two different properties....and both times they have NOT disappointed us. They did so good on the first deck build in 2015 that we did not hesitate to have them rebuild a great deck on the house we bought upon returning to Omaha from Colorado. Both decks have been beautifully done, sturdy, using quality products, and he employs experienced workers who are skilled and get the deck done in a timely manner. You can count on Mike Jansen to give you the knowledge you need to make the right decisions to enhance your home with a stunning deck built to last. Mike Jansen does high quality work at very reasonable prices.He arrives when scheduled and works on the project until it is completely done. The amount of work he and his 1 man crew did on our deck was remarkable. Megan and Heidi are incredibly knowledgeable and helped us tremendously during the design phase, answering our numerous questions and getting us to exactly where and what we wanted. Mike did a wonderful job building a deck that is truly an extension of our home. We really enjoyed working with Mike and his crew. He is a professional - always did what he said he would, on time, always on the job site with his crew, and very pleasant. We have had other contractors who are ok - do their work and call it a day, but Mike, to this day will take a call from my husband with questions he has about other things. We highly recommend him! We LOVE our deck!!

GREAT company!My friends had an old, very large deck, and when they replaced it, they raved about how efficient, courteous, and professional everyone they dealt with was, and their new deck was beautiful.I knew from their recommendation that we would also contract with Mike Jansen Custom Decks, and we are so glad we did.I spoke with Megan at their office and as I described certain design elements I wanted to change for our new deck, she was typing on her computer. I thought she was maybe catching up on some task and half-listening to me, but as I glanced at the big screen behind her desk, I saw the CAD design for what I had just described! She was literally designing as fast as I could speak. I was amazed.Later, Mike called to ask if he could start the job a few days earlier than we had scheduled. Sure! They had the old deck removed before lunch. The new deck took 2 days to build; about half a day for the railing, and another half-day for the siding repairs (Jansen subcontracts for the railing and siding), and everything looks beautiful.The deck is made of material called Timbertek, a strong composite with many color options available, and they look great. This is a no-maintenance, durable deck!Mike Jansen makes it a point to meet or exceed expectations. He and his personnel were efficient, courteous, and professional every step of the way.I can’t recommend highly enough. 10/10.

I highly recommend Mike Jansen Custom Decks. My husband and I chose them over other companies because they were focused on what WE wanted and never tried to talk us into anything more than that, they were clear about what they would do and when, their pricing was fair and competitive, and their staff helped us pick out the best materials for our project in their showroom. Our deck remodel is beautiful, with all small details attended to, the workers on time, friendly, and professional, and Mike and his office staff communicated very well throughout the process about things like utility lines being flagged, inspections, etc. Also, when the railing company forgot to install a couple of finishing pieces to a section of railing, Mike’s staff quickly contacted the company and asked them to fix the issue immediately. The whole process from bid to finished product was extraordinarily easy for us.

We love our new deck and Equinox louvered roof. Our old deck was falling apart and so hot is was hard to enjoy. Mike worked with us to give us a beautiful bigger deck that will be with us for years and the louvered cover is perfect. This has become our oasis to enjoy every day. We have already had multiple severe storms and the cover is sturdy plus it keeps the house cooler when we close it. They were all easy and pleasant to work with, from the office staff to the guys on site to Mike himself who was on site. I would highly recommend this company.

When we purchased our home the deck was falling apart. We interviewed & got estimates from 4 contractors. We went with Jansen Custom Decks because they explained the process & bid right down to the screws. When the time came to build, every step was explained in detail. He followed his timeline & the final cost was the same as the estimate. In fact they finished before their estmated completion date. They also took care of permits & the city inspector as well. Everyone wants their job done cheap, fast & good but cheap shouldnt be a factor when looking for a quality product. I would recommend this company if you want a fair price, quality product & a contractor that does what they say they will.

Weve been looking around for someone to roof our patio deck to block out the hot west sun! We did our homework & got plenty of estimates before we chose Mike Jansen Custom Decks! Mike Jansen himself came out & walked us thru each step by step procedure & what to expect when! Very professional. He custom built our roof to our liking & made it match our house as if it was built the same time as our house!We absolutely love our new roof & can hardly wait until the weather gets warmer to enjoy the outdoor patio!
