We hired Rob and his team for what ended up being a full house renovation. From demo to foundations, additions, roofing, siding, windows, flooring, full kitchen and bathroom renovation, HVAC, electrical and plumbing, Rob helped us navigate through a ton of decisions. Rob was knowledgeable and professional and was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process. The team was amazing, thanks Pete, Tommy, Murph, Frank and Hannah who was very helpful with design decisions and keeping schedules on track. The finished product turned out beautiful!! Rob blended old world features with modern touches and we could not be happier with the outcome! Thanks Critly Crew for A job well done!! -

If you’re reading this review, you should stop and immediately hire Critly. From beginning to end, they are invested in every step and truly live up to their slogan, “Integrity in every detail.”We hired Rob, Hannah, and their team for a large project which involved a kitchen renovation, bath renovation and addition of a main bath/closets in our very old home. The steps leading to the hiring of this crew involved many evening meetings and questions, which they fielded patiently. Hannah was our main point of contact as the project manager/designer and Rob was available to answer any questions related to the build of the project. I was impressed with their ability to make creative solutions and suggestions as planning started and throughout the construction process. For example, they noticed that we did not have a light in our stairwell but it was easy to install, so they asked us if we wanted to do this while the walls were open. (As an aside, Rob is incredibly sensitive to placement of lighting and ensuring there are no strange dark spots.) Rob even beautifully restored a stained glass window and redid the hideous afterthought trim to mimic the original and character of the house. There are many other examples of where they improved the house that I will not detail for the sake of space.Rob’s attention to and respect for historic detail was truly evident throughout the process. He matched the old and new woodwork throughout and built us a beautiful bench for our breakfast nook.Hannah’s ability to act as the project manager and designer was no easy feat. She kept very detailed account of al the spaces that were in scope and we have record of all the items purchased, paint colors/finishes, etc. Her eye for cohesive and beautiful design made her a joy to collaborate with.Communication was seamless and I don’t think I have ever worked with any team that is more responsive. The proposal was detailed and it was clear exactly what we were paying for (we definitely got more).The entire team is very respectful, clean, and kind.Even after the project was completed, they have remained responsive to questions and any issues (very minor).If we do another project, we will certainly be using Critly again. I highly recommend them without any reservation. -

We partnered with Critly for our recent home renovations, which consisted of updating our Kitchen, 2 Bathrooms, and creating a back door leading to a new deck. The entire Critly experience was top notch. Starting with our first meeting with Rob and Hannah. They make a great team, as Rob has extensive experience within construction and remodeling and a true passion for excellence. Hannah bring great insights and suggestions around functionality and design. What we really loved about them was that they weren’t afraid to speak up with their ideas or challenge some of our thinking. Rob and team were extremely respectful and thoughtful while completing the work and treated our house like their own. We couldn’t be more happy with the work and we’d highly recommend them for any size project you’re considering. -

Where to start - the first thing Ill say that Rob and his team defy every bad stereotype contractors have. When you hire Rob, you get Rob (actually at your job each day) and a team that exemplify his same level of standard/work. They each take the time to learn your name and introduce themselves and they respect your home like its their own. Ive gone through a number of renovations where I find the GC respectful and seemingly responsible, but when the work starts, its done by a bunch of folks with limited skill and no particular respect for you home. Respect and presentation aside, Rob and his team do outstanding work. We hired them for mostly molding/trim work in a home built in 2013 that was pretty void of detail. From scheduling and design help with Hannah and Rob on extended in-person meetings, facetime and zoom calls, to the physical millwork and attention to detail, the work was 100%. The cuts were on point, the paint-prepping work was great and most importantly (to me) they covered our floors and protected their work area against silly mistakes. We were also on a limited timeline and the universe lined up where Rob had an small opening and with a few extended days, they were able to complete the job on time. Weve wanted to work with Rob for a while now and between one thing or another werent able to. Now that weve worked with him and his team, we cant imagine working with anyone else for future projects. We have already scheduled our next estimate/visit with Hannah and Rob for two upcoming projects. I recommend Critly Contracting without any reservations. -

We were introduced to Rob by a friend and fell in love with him and now his work. It started as a kitchen remodel and ended up a whole first floor new home construction! You name it Rob, Frank and his contractors did it! He is a perfectionist and it shows. I would highly recommend Critly Contracting. They became part of our family. I will add photos later. Rob and his team did AMAZING work! The amount of detail and custom designing that was done made our house into something we couldn’t imagine. Even from the first time Rob looked at our house, he had a vision, saw great potential and maximized every inch of our first floor. I feel like I live in “Pinterest”!Thank you again!! -

It was a shotgun marriage , how we found Rob.Those kind of things usually suck - but just the opposite happened with young Mr. Critly , + his guys Erik and Frank.A one day job became a pest , literally , and turned into a 5 day job , the damage from insect damage so bad.Rob made five days happen over a 8 day time and fixed every damn thing that was wrong , but as importantly , did it with class and distinction not normally found in a home contractor.He’s young enough to be my son , and I’d be proud if he was , so incredible was he and his team during a very rough time for me and my family.Hire him. .You’ll be missing something if you don’t.And for life , you’ve got yourself a resource that can do almost anything.Crazy valuable.I’m never using anyone else again.Joe G -

If you care about quality, Critly is BY FAR your best option. Rob is a perfectionist - and he treated our home as if it was his own. On multiple occasions, he came forward with recommendations as we went through the project, even if it was an inconvenience to him. We were doing a tile floor in a large bathroom and he proactively changed course to solve for slight floor level issues (old home)-- i KNOW other contractors would not have done that, they would have moved forward to get it done quickly and hoped i wouldnt notice. Not to mention, he spent considerable time finding the best configuration of the tiles for the best look...he CARES. His design and finishing work is second to none. I have enough experience with contractors to know what Ive found in Rob--I will never go anywhere else for projects, big or small. He is a RARE gem and worth every penny if you truly care about your home. Im writing this review on the happy day that we just passed inspection!! :-) Thank you Rob for making our dream home a reality!!!! You havent heard the last from us! -
