    We are over the road drivers. Upon putting our rig in the shop in Florida, and flying home for the holidays, we arrived home to a freezing house. But have no fear! Russell from Cornerstone was here! And he did a great job! He fixed our furnace in no time! And now I feel safe and confidant back in my home and can have my grandkids over. Russell was so very personable and friendly and put us right at ease. He was quick and efficient and explained everything he was doing.     Our heat was going down and we had no hot water on a Sunday night. We called Cornerstone after we called two other places who did not service Utica boilers or else could not even get back to us until morning. We had young grandchildren in the house and it was 8 degrees outside so we didn’t want to wait until morning to find out what was wrong. The dispatcher was very friendly and courteous and told us someone would call us back within 15 minutes. Kevin called us back and then came out to our house within 45 minutes. He assessed the problem, which was not serious, fortunately, and got our heat running within a few minutes. Kevin was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. We were very satisfied and felt it was well worth the $200 charge to make sure our heat was going to be working safely overnight.

    Wonderful service. They promised to show up today at 8AM and Russell was here at 8:01AM. Very rare in today’s world. We have been using Cornerstone’s services for about 20 years and happy to see the quality has not changed (the last time we had them was during covid). Can recommend them with good conscience.

    Today (Sunday) we experienced an issue with loss of hot water, and water leaking from our gas hot water heater system. I immediately called Cornerstone for assistance and Luke responded very quickly (he is based about an hour and a half from our home). He diagnosed and fixed the problem AND serviced the water heater in about 90 minutes. We consider this super service! Luke is also very conscientious and polite, and always explains what he does. He has serviced our furnace and water heater systems several times, and always does a good job.

    Kevin at Cornerstone did an incredible job clearing a stubborn tub drain! Our tenants needed the drain cleared to use the shower and he came by same day even though it was very late at night after-hours. Highly recommend and we plan to call Cornerstone first from here on out.

    Waking up to a cold house on a winter morning is not a pleasant experience, but after calling Cornerstone and requesting help from Kelly, Russ showed up and diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. Russ came back with the part and after a few diagnostics, had the new gas valve blasting us into a warm home again! Russ is a competent technician and nice guy, and I appreciate the prompt response and personable service from Cornerstone.     A friend referred me to Cornerstone when my propane furnace wasnt producing heat. Bill was excellent, easily found the problem and took care of it, explained it and potential for future problems but didnt try to talk me into anything I dont currently need. He is polite and very thorough as well as knowledgeable and well spoken in his communication of technical details. He is obviously a service professional with a great deal of training.

    I mange properties and we had a bad luck with boilers this year. Cornerstone acted quickly and was about to replace boilers at 3 properties for me quickly before winter gets too cold for the tenants to be comfortable. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

    Actually I have two reviews,I accidentally deleted one. On Saturday,November 16th I woke up to no heat. Called Cornerstone,Bill came was patient and professional. I was a little anxious because I was having company for dinner. By late morning, I had heat and was grateful and relieved. Bill suggested I have a clean and tune up. Which I scheduled. Today, Russell arrived promptly and did a thorough job, assuring me all is well. Now, thanks to Russell and Bill, I’m all set for winter. Thanks again, Bill,Russell and Cornerstone.

    Five+ stars for Kevin and Russell! When our slow toilet became a completely plugged system with the only moving water being poop water UP the tub drain and, thanks to an old shut-off valve, over the top of a toilet through the floor pouring into the basement - late on a Saturday afternoon - and calling the national chain business who “answers calls” 24/7 only brought us to a service that answers calls and and no one who would actually help us, we called the next place on the Google search results. Kevin (freshly showered after just returning home from a similar call) came first, checked out the plumbing system, identified the likely point of the blockage, and clearly explained the steps he would take -and the cost of each step from easiest to most difficult. Russell arrived about the time we figured out the easiest fix would not work and stayed with Kevin until almost 10 PM when all the water was finally moving to the septic tank where it belonged. Both of these gentlemen were kind and sympathetic, keeping us informed of the progress and next steps throughout. The final bill landed about halfway between best case and worst case estimates that had been explained at the beginning, and we understood where the number came from.Before leaving, Kevin and Russell explained steps that we could take to prevent a recurrence of this event. When we are ready to have the work done, we will be giving Cornerstone a call.

    We called this company in order to fix a small leak under our toilet (yea, I know crappy work) and with a few days they were able to fit us in and send someone right over. The gentleman they sent over was courteous and professional as well as having a wealth of knowledge. His name is Russell and within just a few minutes he was able to locate and understand the problem, he was able to explain everything well and showed me the step by step process he would need to do in order to repair our issue. I was surprised by his swift and sure ability but extremely grateful. Thank you Russell for be an awesome member of the Cornerstone team.     I called Cornerstone at around 3:00pm and spoke with a very professional young lady (I believe her name was Kelly). I explained that we were Cornerstone customers and we had been without A/C for two days. Kelly gathered the relevant information and sent a serviceman right out. The technicians name was Russel. Russell was at our house within a half an hour and had the problem fixed in short order. Very professional. Cornerstone installed our Trane A/C unit and we have been very satisfied with their after sale support. Good job!.

    I unexpectedly had to have my furnace replaced and Cornerstone worked with me to get it replaced very quickly, within the week.     I have been using Cornerstone Services for the past year to service my house with heating and plumbing. They have consistently done an outstanding job servicing my furnace on a seasonal basis, only doing the repairs and preventative maintenance that is necessary to keep the system running efficiently. On numerous occasions they have come out on short notice to make sure the house stays heated. As vacation rental, we can not be without heat in the winter months and since we have found Cornerstone everything has run smooth. Recently Cornerstone put in new grinding pumps for our septic system. Another great improvement that helps up keep the house in top shape while renters continually seem to do everything they can to test the limits of our systems. I highly recommend Cornerstone Services for all your heating and plumbing needs.

    I recently acquired my childhood home and needed a new heating system. As you can imagine, anything like this is overwhelming! Cornerstone was right there EVERY step of the way!     Furnace went up, it was old and bound to happen. Cornerstone came out fast. Diagnosed the issue and gave me all my options with no pressure. In the end purchased a new furnace through them. The install happened when they said and more than met my expectations. Bill and Garrett were thorough and efficient. Took a little longer due to some existing issues in the system but it is clear they did not cut corners. They left my basement better than they found it, all they way down to sweeping it up.     We started the process of replacing our old inefficient wood boiler heating system with a state of the art Froling wood pellet system in February this year. DJ explained the NYSERDA grant process to us clearly and is a friendly face to discuss most anything about North Country living. His staff prepared the grant application and marshaled it through the bureaucratic process. Blake and his crew did a fantastic job installing our new pellet boiler. Each of them was very polite and professional. Blake took time to carefully explain what they were doing during each step of the process and how to operate the system. We are very pleased with the service Cornerstone provided. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for HVAC installation and service.

    I decided to convert my home to natural gas. Corey and Bill spent the entire week here installing a furnace, hot water heater and an insert into the existing fireplace making it a working fireplace. I could not be more pleased with their professionalism and quality of work. And even more important, they displayed amazing patience with the million questions I had for them.     Woke up to my furnace making a loud racket. Called Cornerstone and the woman said the technician would call me. Bill called within 10 minutes to check and see what the issue was. Told me he was finishing up another job and would be here in about 1 hour. He arrived just short of an hour and got right to work.     We highly recommend Cornerstone. They installed a Mitsubishi Hyper Heat Pump 4 ton ductless system in our 100+ year old house. From estimate to installation, they were highly professional, prompt, and courteous. Tracy, Shae & Garret were extremely knowledgeable, showed incredible attention to detail, and took into consideration the aesthetics of an old home. The work was done expertly and on time.

    Tracy, Corey, and Garret spent a week putting in a 4 ton 3 head mini split. They were on time every single day and worked carefully and courteously, making it clear that we, and our home were the first priority.Sharing our home with 3 strangers for a week could have been a trying experience, but it was not in the least. Their sense of humor, their work ethic and their skill were evident and we were able to relax through the process. Tracys respectful interactions with us were also evident in his interactions with his coworkers as they problem solved when situations required.     Tom visited our home several times to help specify and lay out a new Heat Pump System. He then quickly submitted a proposal which we accepted.     I am very impressed their young technician Luke. Luke has carried out two repairs for me in the last two years. Both repairs are difficult, because the boilers are old, and finding out the true problems is like solving a puzzle. Luke is very patient in checking out all the problems and explain all the alternatives. After the repair, he was so nice and patient as to check out every room and hot water worked all right. During the repair process, he was also very patient on answering all my questions. I am very impressed by his professionalism and courtesy, which is not something you can take for granted in North Country. Quickly identify the problem (air enters the system) and quickly fix it. Just 20 minutes. During the 20 minutes, we chatted about how the boiler system works and some maintenance tips.     Had a main sewer line rust through and it had been leaking into our basement. They came within two days to give an estimate and had the work done just three business days later: They had originally estimated two days worth of work, but they got the work done in one day and so were able to greatly reduce the original estimated price.     In October 2021, Cornerstone installed and plumbed a new Utica Boiler system and indirect hot water tank. Recently the boiler started to howl when starting up. Their serviceman immedately knew how to fix the problem (and also lessen my natural gsas usage). He replaced an igniter bent by heat, and hence having a bigger spark gap, That inefficiency cause the howl and sometimes repeated tries to restart. He was in and out in 15 min. All is well now. Fine service!

    The furnace in our new house had not been cleaned or serviced for many years, and was clearly not operating as it should. The office staff at Cornerstone kept me updated about when a technician would arrive, offering to reschedule since the arrival would be later in the day (which we declined, since we were ready to have a working furnace!). Luke came and stayed even later than anticipated, going above and beyond to thoroughly clean a very, very dirty system. To top it off, when he was done, he offered to replace our ancient thermostat right there on the spot with an updated model -- something we had been thinking about doing, but didnt want to ask about since it was already so late. Our furnace is SO much more efficient now -- it actually blows hot air, and comes on when it should! Very happy with the service provided by Luke and Cornerstone.

    Ive used Cornerstone on many occasions. They are just wonderful! Ive never found more competent diagnosticians for plumbing and heating problems. They fix it right too! Luke just fixed our hot water heater problem and discovered other problems just waiting to happen. All fixed in one trip instead of many. He did that before on our rental property, too. The well was acting up and he did a diagnosis that discovered what the problem was and fixed it. I had already paid a different plumber to fix it -- which didnt fix it.     We have been using Cornerstone services for numerous years. Their technicians have come to our home to repair the heating system as well as our air conditioner that they had installed. Also, several years ago, they installed a new boiler and modified our hot water heating system. Since then, they have installed a Generac generator as well as a new hot water heater. Every time we have called them for service, their response has been professional, courteous, and quick. One time, their technicians worked through half the night to repair our heating system in the middle of the winter. Highly recommended.Added on November 17, 2021Today, Andy Dennis came and replaced three old programmable thermostats that had been installed decades ago with new programmable thermostats. He was on time, courteous, and did excellent quality work. Cornerstone technicians brought the new system to our home the next morning, and installed it the same day. To troubleshoot some initial hiccups, they sent technicians promptly after we called, and took care of it. The new system is working fine now, and we are grateful to Cornerstone for the speedy, courteous, and expert installation.

    Our propane boiler stopped working. Luke came on Monday, Feb.6th and troubleshot the possible causes. He gave me a clear explanation of what was causing the unit to shut down. I gave him the go ahead to get the parts.Wednesday afternoon Nate came and installed the unit. After checking to make that everything was working he cleaned the work area. Thanks Josh and Cornerstone!Addition: a few hours after Josh left we realized the furnace was blowing cold air. We called and he came right over even though it was 8:30pm. He diagnosed the problem, but couldnt get the part until the next day. So he brought us 3 heaters to set up in the house to hold us over. The next morning he located the part, and he was at our house that evening to install it. The customer service he provided was top notch, and we truly felt like he cared about us and our well being.     I hired Cornerstone to clean and repair my leaking boiler. Caden called to say when he would be here and actually arrived a few minute earlier than he stated. He was very polite, efficient, and knowledgeable about the boiler issues. He explained everything in detail and showed me the broken parts that needed replacing. When I asked a question about replacing the overflow tank, he gave me a thoughtful answer. I was also pleased with the final bill which I thought was very reasonable for the parts that were replaced and the work that was done. I will definitely use Cornerstone again.Update: The boiler was not shutting off in one zone recently. I called Cornerstone and they sent Caden quickly. As before, the service was excellent. Caden answered my questions thoroughly, identified the problem, and fixed it efficiently. Cornerstone is a great local company.

    Called to have my fuel oil heater looked at since the blower motor was not running. They were busy, but managed to find a spot in their schedule to come and look at my system. The service tech arrived at the scheduled time and in short order determined that the blower motor was not working and needed to be replaced. The service tech called a local electric motor sales and service company and they had a blower motor that would work, and I went to pick it up while the service tech performed the routine service for my fuel oil heater unit. When I returned with the new blower motor, the service tech installed the new motor and I have heated air again. This was my third time using Cornerstone Services and the techs have always been knowledgeable and professional.

Michael explained everything about the cause and repair to the water heater and the worth of repairing the old 2009 heater. I felt very comfortable with.his advice to install a new one.
