    David and his son did a great job installing a new water heater and expansion tank. With the high pressure release valve relocated to the top, the existing exit was cleanly and effectively rerouted. The next day, I heard some knocking from the expansion tank and immediately reached out to David. Because I am fairly handy, he was able to help me troubleshoot over the phone to try a few things, and I learned a lot as result. My home has a history of a failing pressure reducing valve, so replacing that did solve my issue. Note: Thanks to David, I learned the pressure reducing valve can be rebuilt with a kit. It had nothing to do with the water heater installation. I highly recommend Whyte Plumbing. David has many years of experience, a strong knowledge of building codes, and is easy to talk to when you have a question.

    David and his son performed an excellent job. They carefully analyzed the project scope and found creative ways to minimize disruptions to the hardscaped brick walkway and landscaping. He also noticed that an earthquake shutoff valve was missing and so installed one. He arranged to pull all the needed permits with the city which was great. David is very easy to work with, and a true professional. Highly recommend.

    Dave and his son did a killer job fixing my pipes after the water main broke. They were quick to respond and most importantly very professional and honest! Instead of telling me I have to replace the entire pipe, he was able to fix the leakage without charging me work that is not necessary. 10000% recommended.

    Really good plumber and a straight shooter. I hired Dave to add some pressure regulators, a pressure relief valve, and descale our tankless. When he came over for the original quote he was great about explaining everything so that it was easy to understand. He followed up with a quote and we hired him for the job. When he and his son came over to do the work, both of them got right on it and spent several hours working on a pretty hot day. Even with the heat, they seemed to be having fun out there which was good to see. The work looks great and functions nicely. The pricing was very reasonable. I definitely recommend Dave and his son!

    I got Whyte Plumbing from the Takagi website. I wanted to replace my old tank water heater with a Takagi Tankless. David understood exactly what I wanted and worked 1 and 1/2 days to get it installed. David got the Takagi system I wanted and did an excellent installation. Took out behemoth old heater tank and rerouted gas lines, exhaust, and water lines to make the installation practical, safe, and so professional. All my questions were answered and price was very fair. Would recommend David Whyte and Whyte Plumbing if you are thinking about upgrading to a new Tankless water heating system.

    I called David Whyte to repair our 40 gal water heater, 4 yrs old, pilot keeps going out and will relight with difficulty. He asked for pictures of the unit and surroundings.He informed me what the problem was and that the unit was under warranty and he would contact the manufacturer for parts at NO COST! He described the repair and needed parts, giving me a very reasonable price.The replacements parts cost hundreds of $, my cost was zero under warranty. A few days later he texted me that he had picked up the warranteed parts from the manufacturer and was ready for a service call and installation replacement of worn parts.. David and son Daniel arrived on time and with the new parts. We enjoyed some great conversations and the install was done by Daniel.. It was alot of not easy work, expertly done. New parts were installed and tank was drained, filled and reset.... all good.The area was left clean and cabinet vacuumed and adjusted as needed to close up securely.Price was as qouted with pilot and gas valve(controller) replaced under warranty, no charge. I was charged for a service call and tank refurbing.Really enjoyed meeting and talking with them both, knowing we finally can call knowledgeable plumbers when needed.. What a pleasant experience and we were so reasonably charged. Service was above and beyond! Five Stars!!

    I decided to replace my 22 year-old water heater with a tankless. David Whyte was highly recommended to me by a friend with very good reason. We discussed my needs. He knew immediately what I needed and I sent pictures of the old outside water heater so he could see the area. After seeing the pix he set a date for installation for the next week. He and his son Daniel removed the old water heater and the metal shed that housed the water heater that was also attached to the wall. Then installed the new tankless water heater and the new electric connection that was required. The job was completed in about four hours. He was friendly and easily and quickly answered any questions I had. They were very professional and seemed to really enjoy their work. Everything is working as expected and was one of the quickest and easiest installation or remodeling projects I have ever had to deal with. I highly recommend Whyte Plumbing.

    David is an expert with tankless water heaters. One of my heaters is from 2004, and his maintenance and repairs have helped me from having to replace it several times. Other plumbers would have given up and just told me to replace the unit, but David was able to economically repair it. David is always responsive and has always had the right parts on hand to get us quickly back up and running. He has also been great with other plumbing needs, including regulator replacements and indoor fixture issues. Its great that Davids son is now in the business, so he can also provide the same expert service in the future.

    Very knowledgeable about tankless water heaters. This service call was a year after installation, to clean out the unit, and make sure everything is ok.Dave is the original owner and a master plumber. Daniel his son was trained by Dave and now does the work. He is very methodical, sort of like a surgeon and leaves the work space spotless.

    David fixed my leaking drain under the kitchen sink, replaced my water filter and replaced a line from the filter. He is so meticulous, professional and knowledgable. He knows what he is doing and explained everything to me. He checked everything under the sink and noticed that my disposal wasnt locked, fixed that so vibration is reduced. He didnt charge me for that. He was on time and cleaned up. He let me know what the cost would be before starting the job. Dave is a licensed plumber not a technician working under another plumbers license. His price is fair and reasonable and is a very pleasant person. I am happy that I now have a reliable honest plumber who knows what he is doing.I needed help once more! I had a back up in my sewer line. David and his son Daniel came to my rescue. The work he did was exceptional. We decided I needed another clean out so the snaking could reach my whole line. I had recurring backups over the years and had used other plumbing companies for this problem. Dave found a good place to put the clean out wiithout breaking up my patio or walks. He has the latest electronic detection equipment to find the line. now The work was hard as there was a lot of digging to get to the line, but Dave and Dan got the job done. Again, they are both very pleasant and professional. Dave treated the line with a chemical so the tree hair roots will not cause a problem in the line. The other companies never offered to do that ensuring future backups. It was a relief to be able to call on Dave and have a reliable sewer line.

    Wow! I was overwhelmed by the professionalism and quality of the work. Our tankless water went out unexpectedly and we needed help fast! David W came over and spend several hours trying to repair the unit. He walked us through every aspect of the repair in simple to understand terms. David took it as a personal challenge to fix this thing. Even spending an extra unpaid hour to get the unit back online. Unfortunately, we needed a new water heater. Not what we wanted to hear … but David was back the next day with the new unit , the quality of which was superior to what we had at a fair price.Installation was perfect and we couldn’t be happier. Many places take you for $$$ during an emergency like this. Not these guys. Highly recommended.

    Recently, I went to my garage to discover a leak in my Takagi tankless heater. Thankfully, I had Dave the pipe doctors phone number in my phone. I called, explained the situation, sent pictures and Dave responded with advice. Next day, he arrived at my home with parts needed to repair the problem. He fixed the problem, serviced my tankless heater and explained what had failed. He performed his work with precision and cleanliness. It is hard these days to find master craftsmen with integrity, precision and fairness. Dave has them all and I am thankful he is on my team. Great job.

    Dave has been taking care of our plumbing for about 30 years. He has always done a great job. Once we were leaving the house to catch a flight when a toilet suddenly backed up. Raw sewage overflowed onto the bathroom floor. I called Dave and he said he would take care of it. When we got home, we saw that he fixed the backup problem and he cleaned up all the sewage on the floor so that we couldnt even tell that anything had happened. That was beyond the call of duty.     I can’t say enough good things about this plumber! David saved me at least &2000 and a lot of time and hassle. Before David I had two other plumbers miss diagnose the issue with roots in my toilet. Both wanted to charge me exorbitant fees to fix it. If I done with either one of them recommend, my toilet would still not be working and I would’ve been out a lot of money! The crazy thing is he fixed it from 100 miles away. I called him and he diagnosed it over the phone then he faced timed with my own handyman, telling him exactly how to fix it. It worked beautifully! I’ve actually never even met David inperson-/only by face time!

    Two different plumbing companies sent plumbers to my home and both reported I had a clogged drain upon seeing standing water in the kitchen sink. They both reported the work would require thousands of dollars to unclog the drain with outrageous lies about failing sewer lines and collapsed elbows seen through solid walls and underground locations. I called David, told him my problems and he laughed. He asked are you ready for an honest plumber?. I was and he is an honest plumber.     Our Grohe thermostatic valve did not work properly and the plumbers we have used in the past could not do the repair. Grohe referred Whyte plumbing to us and David replaced the defective parts of the valve and it works perfectly now. The valve is 26 years old and I was afraid it would be impossible to repair but David has the expertise and experience necessary for the task.

    Family owned business, David & Daniel were awesome. We had a hot water pipe leak in our slab which turned out to be a nightmare. Our slab was not up to code, concrete was more than 4 inches, more like 9-12 inches, still couldn’t get to the pipe. Instead of tearing up our flooring even more, he suggested we reroute the hot water line through our attic. We had them do both lines just so we wouldn’t have to worry about the cold water line in future. It was a big job, but they handled it and completed everything in 2 1/2 days. We are very happy with the results. Pricing was fair. I think others would have charged a lot more. We’ve been looking for a good, knowledgeable, honest plumber in the sfv, and we finally found them. Very honest and knows his stuff. Definitely will use them again. Thank you David & Daniel!!
