Steven is a committed and focused carpenter. He led the reconstruction efforts for our home in Newport. Steven has left his personal touch on the house in so many ways it is hard to share them all. I took some pictures which I included. This was a major job that required a lot of thought and care. The pictures show some very visible evidence of his work. I would say that a lot of the value is in what is behind the pictures. We have a home that is over 80 years old. All that survived the original house was the central staircase and the frame. Steven put metal joints on each beam when the house was stripped in order to ensure stability and to avoid creaking once complete. It was not unusual to get a call from Steven when he suggested specific approaches. When the extension frame was complete, Steven was not satisfied with the master bathroom opening. He redid the opening to ensure the best result.Steven re-framed each window achieving the largest opening that was practical given the home construction. The windows make an amazing difference on the house. He also hand built a cofferred ceiling that looks amazing. I have had many people comment on the quality of the woodwork. I posted some nice pictures of a column, the large windows, the fireplace and the ceilings. I would be happy to have Steven accompany anyone that wanted to consider his work and walk through the many features that he worked on.Alex

Steve and his team did a incredible job on our new home. We threw everything at him. archways, coffered ceilings, walnut beams and even a live edge card table! Steve, is a true artist and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for the best in the business.Gary & Michelle Tavares

I have had Steven Mello build custom finish work including an entertainment center, bookshelves and a custom mud room bench in both of my two most recent homes. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t appreciate Steve’s work as art pieces in my home. I have sold real estate for the last 15 years so I’ve seen lots of custom finish work.Ive witnessed Steven Mello literally design and custom create everything from fireplace mantles, coffered and tray ceilings, custom walk in closets, shiplap, hand made cabinetry and more. I’ve never witnessed anyone that can produce a product even close to what Steven can build. I highly recommend Steve to anyone. He truly is an artist and extraordinarily talented craftsman. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
