Absolutely fabulous! We had an idea of what we were looking for and our friends at Couto went above and beyond to make it happen. They were very flexible and happy to go over options that could help keep the budge where we wanted it. We had other siding companies over who wanted more than double what coutu quoted us!We ended up with new siding, new gutters, and a few new windows. We could not be happier with how the projects came out! It was also amazing to see how hard their crew works each day, they completed the job quickly and efficiently. My project was to install a French door and 4 windows. I had another contractor who was unreliable and a disappointment. I hired Couto Construction to do the job that my other contractor did not even start. I found Couto Construction trustworthy, reliable and honest. They delivered on their promise and it was the entire team from the office workers, sales, project management, contractor and crew. A big shout out to the whole Couto team for a job well done. With a special mention to Rob, Carlos and Justin. I must give you 100 percent and a “5” star rating. I was completely impressed with their professionalism. I was equally impressed with them informing me at each stage of the project and they even explained how my door and windows work! I would not hesitate on using them again and from this experience forward they are my contractors for all of my exterior construction needs.I highly recommend Couto Construction for your construction needs. Our Berkley Congregational Church had Couto Construction replace the roofs on the parsonage and the barn. Additionally they jacked up one side of the barn to rebuild the rotted out sill. All the work was done quickly, professionally, on budget, and we are very pleased with Couto Construction and would highly recommend them for any type of project. Also Derek Couto and his crew was a pleasure to work with.

*******UPDATE - 11/13/2024 *******Unfortunately, installation of the window well covers was not completed properly. BUT, Couto stood by their work a full year later and sent Frank to correct the issues. It has yet to rain heavily enough to provide a proper test, but he did everything he was equipped to do to make it right. I cannot give Frank enough stars. He knows his stuff, is well mannered, amiable, and respectful. A true asset to the company. (Please give that man a raise and accept this updated review as an official customer commendation.)We do have an issue with Carlos. His demeanor is bad for the company. He seems to be more about getting in and out with a complete disregard for the customer’s needs.I made a call with a follow-up email to express my displeasure with his behavior and asked to speak to Carlos’ supervisor. I was eventually put in touch with Derek, one of the owners, and he was swift to put forth that they will stand by their work and should any further problems occur, he would personally come to our home to take a look and determine the best way to resolve any issues.I won’t punish a company for one bad apple. The company is good, as its staff. I will only suggest that Carlos gets retrained, as he is incredibly off-putting when he tends to blame the customer.I still recommend Couto and am grateful for their integrity.*******UPDATE - 11/13/2024 *******I have a house that’s nearly 100 years old and the basement windows are all different sizes and paned. With the rains recently, the windows leaked and a couple of the panes blew right out, so needless to say I had Victoria Falls in my basement. After having the basement cleaned ($$$), we needed to have the basement windows replaced. We called another company to do the job and their quote seemed pricey, so we decided to call Couto. From start to finish, the experience was beyond pleasant and reassuring. Mariana was our point of contact. She kept us up to date on everything. (A most appreciated plus these days.) Claudio came out and talked to us about our options and gave us an immediate quote that came in $5K lower than the quote from the other company. Carlos did the measurements. He told us how we can deal with the oddities of our home and was in and out. Finally, Marecello and Marcos, our installation team… we cannot begin to express my happiness with their work, ethics, politeness, and cleanliness. What’s more, we decided to buy custom window well covers - because we wanted double protection, as we live on a high water table in a valley. They also installed them for us. My entire experience was painless. I don’t have lots of money, but Couto did the job for a good price and provided great work from beginning to end. Every single person I spoke with was awesome. Couldn’t be happier! I would absolutely recommend.P.S.: The total amount of the job (custom window wells and Couto’s windows and labor) all cost less than the first company’s quote. Unreal.

Really loved working with Couto’s team. From I take to problem solving to follow up they were very professional. Inevitable delays in start date but super efficient once they got started and were able to troubleshoot any issues in real time without delays. This is the second project we have had done by Couto. Our experience has been awesome. Justin and Keven do exceptional work and go out of their way to make sure all your concerns are addressed. Justin does high quality work and has great attention to detail. I would highly recommend Couto Construction. They just installed four exterior doors on my home which was built in 1887 so as you can imagine it was a challenge but Justin and Keven did an incredible job keeping the original appearance of our home. I’m so happy with the work they do.

I had a great experience with Couto from start to finish. They were the first to respond to my request for an estimate and continued to communicate well throughout the project. Tiler came out and did the initial estimate and was very thorough, even getting additional opinions from the crew itself. The crew did a great job of demolishing and rebuilding my chimney, and added ridge caps where needed. The chimney looks fantastic! Marcello and Marco were the guys who sistered the rafters in the attic. They were efficient and professional, providing me with pictures of the work. Daniel, Frank, and Rodrigo recently replaced sections of trim on our house. After assessing the underlying structure, they determined that the thickness of the product they brought would have compromised the drip edge. They could not have told me about the problem and just installed it, instead, they consulted with the project manager and replaced it with the same but thinner product. They also caulked some cracks and gaps, and replaced a small piece of siding. This is the third time we have had Couto Construction perform work on our house, and have been very satisfied. The crews have always been professional and willing to listen.

I cant say enough about this company-from the first day I called to the day after the job when they were here bright and early cleaning for the third time (without my request) to ensure no nails or debris (mind you the last 48 hours temps in the 30s). Our estimator was amazing and got us the best price possible, especially since it was an unexpected roof replacement during a difficult time on top of it. The office workers were always happy and pleasant to deal with. The actual roof workers WORKED their butts off, and the cleanup was better than any other. Our project manager kept us up to date with concerns and pictures and answered all of our questions. I recommended Coutu to three other people in the last 24 hours. I didnt even shop around other companies because we were that pleased with them from day one. I really truly recommend them, not just because the impeccable work, but also because the workers and busines members were extremely hardworking and kind. Hard to find nowadays.

They came out even when he though he couldnt due to the weather, stayed 9a-9p & got all the back done. After a rain day they completed the front in half a day. I called Couto construction for a quote on a new roof and was amazed at how well organized they were and fast. I had called three different companies and they were the only ones to respond and on a Saturday too. The people that answered were both polite and professional, we arranged a meeting the following week and they double checked the day before that I was going to be there. Nick was the estimator and he showed up on time, was very professional and gave us a reasonable quote after walking us through everything that was going to be done. We agreed on the price and two weeks later we had a new roof. The crew was amazing. Richie was the supervisor and he walked me around explaining how it was going to go. The owner showed up and checked in on everything. They were super fast and after two days it was all cleaned up like they had never been there. We did an underlay that looked fantastic the first day and the shingle/trim and gutters the second. It looks great and worthevery penny. Next year were going with them to do the windows. Thanks guys! Couto Construction installed, Siding, Shutters, Windows, Doors, Gutters on our home. The house is quite large with lots of additions which have been added over the years since 1910. These additions create LOTS of bends , turns, nooks and crannies. Honestly this was not cheap, as it was a huge project. Claudio, David, Carlos, Rickey, Marianna, and Lori, hopefully I did not leave anyone out, Worked with us EVERY step of the way!! From the first day that we met Claudio and David, we knew that the Couto family and our family would be joined together. The project was thoroughly discussed, we and they made suggestions and changes during the project. The contract was absolutely written to include EVERYTHING! I liked that because I referred to the contract many times during the project. I was amazed that at no point was stressed out, which is VERY unusual for me. I relaxed and trusted for once in my life. Best price of the contractors we had bid on the window replacement project. Work was all done in one day except for having to come back to fix a manufacturer/shipping damaged window (no extra fee). Windows and a sliding glass door seem to be of high quality by ratings on the internet (Provia) and by using them. Kept us informed about when things would come in from manufacturer. Polite and professional.

My roof was about 25 years old when I discovered a small water stain in my dining room. I called Couto Construction because they had an online presence, and the reviews were good. It seemed like an established company rather than “a guy with a truck.” Tyler M. came to my home to inspect the roof and the stain. It seemed as though I would need a full roof replacement; not shocking because of the age. Tyler explained the process to me in detail, and the cost associated with each package. My heart was sold on Couto, but I opted to get another quote from a less-established company. Their offerings were somewhat similar, but a little less expensive, so I chose the other company. Needless to say, when the other company promised to come out and never showed - twice, for different reasons - I went with my gut back to Couto. I can’t say enough about the professionalism, the communication, and the efficiency of the team. I had a scheduled date (weather permitting), but they were able to squeeze me in the week prior. The crew arrived right on time, followed by Cesar B., the project manager. He was very honest and let me know that I did have some rotten wood that needed to be replaced, but fortunately it was covered under my contract. We touched base again mid-day, and he sent me pictures of the roof. The roofers finished EXACTLY when Cesar said they would. I couldn’t believe it! The finished product looks unbelievable; it’s like a whole new house! I would absolutely go with Couto when it’s time to replace my windows and add siding. Do not choose a random company based on price!!! Couto has financing available and their warranties are excellent. I have already recommended them to a friend who is looking to replace his roof. I’m sure he will be as happy as I am.

Our first interaction was with Corey, who visited our home, assessed the roof, took photos and video, explained the process, products, and pricing. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt. The office team had amazing communication, and let me know where we were with permits and scheduling throughout. The crew that came to do the roof were amazing!!! They were prompt, courteous, efficient, and cleaned up everything, not leaving anything behind. Manny was the foreman. We needed garage siding replaced and obtained several quotes. Couto was towards the lower end of the spectrum and the replacement included composite. Obtaining the quote was simple and there was no pressure. Communication leading up to the work was excellent and I always felt I was informed with the plan and status updates. The project manager followed suit and reached out ahead of time, communicated progress and next steps. The work was high quality and exactly as expected. I would highly recommend and definitely use them again for future work.

This company is very professional. You wont be disappointed.***Edit - 5/4/2021 - I had to call them after the job was finished because of an issue that needed to be fixed and let me tell you...They were at my house within an hour of my call to fix the issue and suggest ways to protect the rest of my roof. It did not take long to connect with Tiler, our sales person who presented our options. His professionalism, knowledge, and respectfulness, won us over even though Coutos pricing was a tad higher than the competitor. Tiler gave us that warm feeling that all consumers hope for when having to make such a large purchase.From A to Z the team from Couto Construction gave us that same expression of care, concern, and overall comfort. The roofers were professional and took measures to ensure that our property was respected. Chris, the gentleman that dropped off our dumpster addressed our concerns as if the property was his own. Marco from Coutu came out and replaced all the old wood with new vinyl and PVC material in an efficient, professional manner. When I requested an additional step for aesthetic reasons it was met and completed just as professionally.Overall Ive been 100% satisfied with the entire experience and will be sending further work to Coutu.I called a second time recently because my porch roof and front windows were leaking due to poor workmanship by a previouse contractor. Justin & Kevin R. were efficient, their work was excellent and I greatly appreciate Justin taking the time to explain what he found wrong and how he corrected it. Ill be calling them for a 3rd project in the near future.

Couto construction was quick, efficient and cleaned up immediately. I have a 64’ long ranch but they stripped and replaced my roof, including the chimney and pipe flashing and boots. The project supervisor Cesar checked on everything, was easy to reach and did a full walk through inspection after completion before final payment. 99% of the work was done in one day and they removed the dumpster the next morning. After they were done I have not found one nail. I would recommend their services based on my own experience.

Josimar and Fernando came out to install 2 sliders and 2 windows in my home. The sliders and windows are really good quality, I was shocked how well they slid open and shut. Even better than the quality of the windows/doors is how accommodating Josimar and Fernando were. They had to cut some of my tile to fit the slider as it was wider than my previous one and I have 2 babies so I was worried about the dust, they taped paper over the entire slider area from the inside and cut from the outside so literally NO dust came in. They painted the piece of quarter round under the slider white for me because I thought the unfinished wood didn’t look good. My house was missing a small piece of siding and they were able to put something there to cover it. They were friendly to my 1 year old who was watching. I can be very particular with the work done on my house and I was very happy with them.

As a new homeowner, I do not have many contacts for home repair and renovations. I needed some gutter work so I looked up roof companies on google and found Couto Construction. The first thing that stuck out to me is that they have hundreds of reviews with a 5.0 star rating. I decided to give them a shot and I was not disappointed. I scheduled an appointment for an estimator to come out and give me a quote for the work. Nicholas Sousa was professional and friendly, and he walked me through the process. A couple of days later, the guys came over to complete the work. They deserve some recognition because it was pretty hot outside and they worked nonstop from 9am-6pm. They had to come by the next day for a couple of hours to finish the job. They did an amazing job and I will be using them for any future roofing projects in the future.

May I see the door? He did not have it. Carlos the Project Manager was on his way. He will make it on sight. Oh, this is not a good feeling, door has to be made and painted. From the outset they sent Tiler Levesque to evaluate the roof, take all the necessary measurements, explain the procedures that would be taken to replace the roof, gutters and downspouts. His presentation is professional and thorough complete with visual and actual representations of the materials that are used. He is very patient and answered every question that I had. He explains everything in the contract and I felt confident in trusting the job to Couto Construction.My decision has proved to be correct. I was contacted by Kameron in the office who reviewed all the information in the contract. He confirmed procedures and project dates with me and the job was underway. He and Carla kept in contact throughout the procedure and their positive energy and great customer service is amazing.As the job was about to begin, my first introduction to the work was the delivery of the refuse container. The driver was so careful with its placement and expertly maneuvered it into the driveway. He is a great beginning to what is going to follow. I was contacted by Kevin Ayala who is the project supervisor. He did everything I hoped would happen. He texted each step of the job complete with pictures and an explanation of how and why each step was proceeding. My confidence in his professionalism gave me peace of mind throughout the project. He followed up when the job was completed and did a walk through so that any remaining question I might have would be answered. He reminded me that if I had any concerns or questions they would always be promptly answered. I am delighted with everyone who represents this company.Now to address the work itself. The roof, gutters and downspouts were old, worn, and battered. The roof was sagging in spots and, honestly, I thought I would be told it was beyond repair. I am astounded at the repair work that was completed even before the shingles were applied. The crew is to be applauded for the complete transformation they accomplished. I am overjoyed that they renewed the underlying roof structure. The crowning touch is the beautiful shingle work and the addition of the new gutter system. The quality of the materials for each step of the project are top rated and this entire experience has been beyond my expectations. Plus, the neighbors have mentioned how well the job went and how beautiful it looks. A recent April (2024) Noreaster brought to my attn two small holes in my roof (which leaked into my attic and one adjoined bedroom ceiling). I called Coutos, requested their roof tune-up special and received a quick appointment. Frank Dulles (a project mgr) and his co-worker (whose name slips my mind - sorry!) arrived on time. After a few brief questions, they started the inspection immediately. They were able to locate the source of the leaks (one on each side) and proceeded to lay a barrier and several shingles to each hole. They also inspected the remainder of the roof and, within a day or so, forwarded a quote for further work necessary to ensure proper coverage.I found both gentlemen to be courteous, professional and cordial.We have had two rain showers since the repair (one a heavy downpour) and Im happy to say my attic is dry.Im grateful this option was available and their work will, hopefully, allow me enough time to save funds to complete the work necessary.I would recommend this service from Coutos!C. Overall, I was pleased w/service. I had the roof inspection done and gutters redone. I didn’t rate 5 stars b/c I think the communication between depts is poor, they never seemed to communicate all details when it was determined a diff dept needed to take over so I had to start over and/or correct info. In addition, the salesmen/estimators told me things that the workers did not do. For ex. It was stated several times that the gutters would be removed and reinstalled. But they were not. Maybe it was determined this was not needed. But no one ever bothered to explain why. Also, not doing this I assume saved time and cost. So, if it was deemed unnecessary why wasn’t I refunded some of the cost?

We were having trouble with a prior roof from another company done 10 years ago. We called Couto and from the first moment until the completion of the new roof they were excellent. They explained the installation process. Showed and explained the quality of the products. Explained the warranty. Flew a drone over the house to show us the existing damage. Had all the products and dumpster delivered the day before the job. They arrived on time with a crew of about 6, and the crew worked super hard. They were able to complete our three family big house in one day! They cleaned up everything taking special care for any stray nails with a magnet. Super professional and when it was all finished we met with the supervisor to go over everything and make sure we were happy before we made the last payment. I would highly recommend Couto Construction to everyone.

Once installed could tell instantly the quality & how quiet the 2 large rooms became. As the owner of an historic, three story building with a unique roof, I researched roofing contractors, visited their operations and job sites, and interviewed and grilled them over several weeks. It was a big ticket for me involving not only confidence in the quality of work, but also trust in the ability to share my concerns for and knowledge of my 140 year old buildings vulnerabilities.I am also very protective of the environment- of the squirrel -nesting linden tree a few feet from the building whose branches needed trimming, the old slanted slate sidewalks, of potentially fragile gutters and the asphalt bits that I insisted were NOT going to be blown down the street gutters and eventually into the sea as Clean Up. Originally I dealt with Erik who was the sales rep. He was exceptional. He came to my house, went up on the roof, took video and explained to me the issues on the roof. He was professional, punctual, and sent over that instant trust in him. Once the project began, I dealt with Josue’ Correa was my project manager. He and his crew were excellent! They were on time, kept me in the loop by texting me progress reports on tearing off the old roof and installing the new one. They were hard workers and very respectful. The clean up was amazing! My yard and surrounding areas were as clean as when they started the project. Once the project was complete, I was so impressed by the follow up phone calls I received. In addition to the phone calls, I was pleasantly surprised when my doorbell rang and my sales rep Eric, was on the other side of the door to check in with me if I was completely satisfied with the roof installation. Not many companies are known for their customer service follow up, but Couto certainly stands by their great reputation. I’m so glad I went with Couto. The entire experience was top notch!

My husband and I hired Couto Construction to replace all the windows in our house. From the moment I contacted their office for a quote they were extremely friendly and responsive. Claudio came out to look at our windows and show us pricing options. We felt like we had a family member in our house. We ended up talking so much we forgot he was there for windows! The “group me” app was used to keep us informed of when the windows would arrive and allowed us to chat with someone from the company who could answer any questions at any time. The week the windows were installed Polo came with an older gentleman and worked extremely hard making sure everything was done to our liking and did everything inside first so that we didn’t have to take a ton of time out of work to be there. The project manager, Josue, was very friendly and kept us up to date on what was going on at all times, even sending me pictures while I was at work. Materials and a dumpster showed up exactly when we were told they would and was removed the same day the job was done. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Their workers really care and you can tell they love their job. I would use this company again in a heartbeat and will recommend them to everyone I know!

After the recent wind and rain storm we lost several shingles on our roof. We had a short window before the next rain storm would be rolling in. I called several roofing contractors right away. The ones I contacted said they would be there right away. After chasing them for a few days I gave up and decided to use Angis list. I found Coutos construction. It was after hours that I called, but I got an answer and commitment right away. I talked to Michelle on the phone and she was absolutely fantastic! She figured out a way to fit me into their schedule. Two gentleman from the roofing team showed up on time two days later. Frank and Andrew were also fantastic!They did exactly what they said they would do. They were personable, professional and knew what they were doing. They replaced my missing shingles, tarred other areas they needed too. To wrap things up they came off the roof and were able to show me photos of the entire roof and the areas repaired.
