    I could not have asked for a better experience when working with Deck Doktor. He is kind, honest, and very skilled with his woodworking abilities. He was prompt with his availability to come and discuss our needs and quick with his quote (which was very reasonable for the job at hand). He communicated with us throughout the whole process of tearing up our carpeted stairs and transitioning to wooden stairs. The final product looked better than my vision at the beginning. I cannot recommend him more!

    David Stillwell did an outstanding complete restoration of our outdoor wooden deck including the deck floor, substructure, railings and stairs. He quoted us a price which he honored, and he completed our project on time. He had materials delivered on time and kept the area neat and available, and moved all the deck furniture and removed all the old wood for his disposal.We selected a Trex composite floor instead of wood, Trex hand railing and stairs, and he used the required Trex spacers and color coordinated screws. David inspected in detail every substructure joist and recommended replacing two joists and added reinforcing cross members with stiffeners. He dug and poured additional concrete piers for the beefed-up substructure to rest on. He showed us where roof downspout piping needed to be rerouted away from the house which we agreed to.We have a stronger and healthier substructure due to his attention to detail. Our two stairs were also rebuilt and are now safe and easy to use. The floor is stable with no bounce or movement. He substituted metal balusters for the existing ones and screwed them to the railings. He did touch up painting to affected areas.David is an accomplished carpenter, he knows local codes, and he understands loading structure strength, and personnel safety. He was meticulous in all his measuring, cutting and fitting.He transformed our deck from a deteriorating wood structure to a beautiful, safe and useful asset that we are very proud of and use with our guests and family. We are very happy with our new deck.David Stillwell is a gentleman, an honest and reliable craftsman contractor, and skilled tradesman. We highly recommend him for decks and similar work.

    We made the decision to contact David about rebuilding our deck after reading all of the fantastic Google reviews he has received for his work. Construction projects can be stressful and at times chaotic, but Davids courteous style made the experience a breeze! He is a communicative and skilled professional! From start to finish, we were consulted about all design decisions and informed about structural issues that needed to be corrected. He even rebuilt our steps so that our aging pup would have an easier time going up and down to our back door! David is a top-quality human being who happens to also be a great craftsman!     David built a platform for our 700 square foot yurt. Because it was located on commercial property, the permitting and engineering ended up being more extensive than we anticipated. Even with lots of delays, extra work, and frustrations, none of which were his fault, David stuck with the job and his end product was exceptionally high quality. He even worked extra his last day to lend a hand to the people working on the next phase of the project. We are so grateful for his dedication to bringing our vision a reality.

    David is a great builder, he definitely pays attention to details. He designed our deck and steps to specific heights for two elderly women to use,(and they can without any help), also such a smooth transition from deck to threshold through door that there walkers roll smooth no hassle and no stop and push. Awesome guy, we even invited him to my grandmothers welcome home party from her nursing home. Will use him for back deck come spring. Thanks David your a great person and God Bless!

    David is honest, hard working, and professional. He is very straight forward with his pricing. We needed a deck repaired and were hoping to get floating benches installed. I contacted him on a Sunday, he stopped by our house within the hour, gave me a rough estimate on the cost, started the work on Tuesday, and was complete on Friday. My wife and I were thrilled with the work and the speed at which it was completed. Again, the cost was very reasonable. We showed him a photo of benches we liked and he was able to build them just like the photos. David is great to work with!!

    I had 3 other quotes before I found Deck Doktor, but I wasnt comfortable with the contractors so I kept searching. So glad I found David! He is awesome! He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. Its hard to find a contractor like that. My fence is beautiful and sturdy, and the price was very reasonable! David is honest, professional and personable. I was very comfortable throughout the entire process. He cleans up after himself too! I was anxious to get my fence, as I have 2 dogs; the other guys couldve done it in 2-3 weeks; I waited 6 weeks for David and it was well worth the wait! Im hoping he has time to build me a pool deck this Summer. Thank you David! The dogs and I are over the moon happy!

    David did a fantastic job for us replacing a privacy fence under difficult conditions (plants and landscaping). Other fencing companies refused to consider doing job, but David did a fantastic job. He then replaced the fourth wall of the fence with a customized shed (think long and narrow shed) that was just amazing! Very creative and flexible in building it from scratch and giving us exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend!

    I had a deck that was over 39 years old and many parts of the framing was damaged due to time and weather. I called several companies to get quotes on repairs that need to be done. We were referred to the Deck Doktor from a friend of ours. The referral was one of the best referral I had received for deck repairs. Being the age of 74, I watch every penny I can in order to stay in our budget. Dave was very honest and the cost of the repairs was very very fair and affordable. He rebuilt my steps, rebuilt the framing of my deck and replaced all the boards. If anyone needs to repair their deck I would HIGHLY recommend using the Deck Doktor. You want regret your decision.

    Davids first project for us was rebuilding custom front porch railings about three years ago. When we recently decided to replace our aging, high-maintenance deck with Trex, he was the only contractor we even considered. Not only is the new deck gorgeous, but he also successfully solved the challenge of greatly improving the under-deck access to the basement, including replacing an entry door. David does excellent, high quality work, has fair and honest pricing, and is meticulous about job site cleanup. Perhaps the quality I appreciate the most, however, is his communication--hes both very responsive to emails and texts, and always provides updates about arrival times, next steps, etc. Last but not least, he made sure our senior dog had temporary access to the yard during the project. Highly recommend!

    Contacted Deck Doktor owner David and asked for an estimate. We made an appointment time and David was very prompt. We needed to replace our very old deck so David did all the necessary measurements. We decided on gray composite boards and white hand rails placed approximately 6 ft apart around the sides. Added new steps in 3 different locations. David and his helper took their time and made everything turn out splendid. They were very conscientious and precise with all aspects that were needed. I highly recommend Deck Doktor. The business is very professional.
