    We own our year round designer house in southeastern Massachusetts. Our winter getaway is located in Palm Beach, Florida. Three years ago my wife and I decided to build a summer house for our upcoming retirement. After much family debate between choosing the Vineyard and Nantucket, we settled on the latter.We bought the land from the Maurys, and also had the good fortune of having Dustin Maury as the General Contractor and the Builder. I cannot speak more highly of the quality and the workmanship that Mr. Maury put into our house. Dustin was meticulous in details, and was so very accommodating in creating and perfecting the designs in our kitchen, entertainment area, and several of the bedroom suites. The best way of stating what a great job he did is this: Dustin built our house as if it were his own.More importantly, Dustin was so responsive to my phone calls. I must have called him a dozen the past years to change, fix, or repair anything in the house that needed work. Dustin always came by the next day to repair the front gates, change my light switches to the dimming types, fix my fireplace with a faulty switch, adjust the HVAC, etc, etc, etc. We now have plans to downsize our primary house in the near future, and we have asked and Dustin has agreed to be our next Contractor and Builder.

    Dustin’s team is amazing! Not only was Maury Associates ahead of schedule for our new house, they helped with every facet of construction. From answering our emails in a timely manner, explaining how items operate in the house, and staying on budget, they even saved us money with some finish recommendations. Larry and Dustin run an amazing company and live on the island—which says a lot. They are the only contractors my husband and I have ever worked with who check-in even post-construction! They ensure everything works and we are 100% satisfied with them. Accolades to the team at Maury and we can whole heartedly recommend them to anyone. Nantucket has an unbelievable reputation for great construction and it’s people like Dustin who give Nantucket bragging rights!

    We began working with Dustin and Maury Associates in October of 2020 and have continued to use Maury Associates to this day. We have continued to return to Maury Associates for different projects throughout our time on Nantucket. Our first project was the construction of a single family home during the pandemic! Needless to say, our stress was high. Dustin and his team were a constant presence in our lives throughout the home build. To say Dustin is a knowledgeable builder is an understatement. Dustin possesses a unique set of skills that he acquired through growing up on island and in the construction business. Not only can he roll up his sleeves and do the work of each member of his team, his on-island network is unparalleled. Our project evolved in scope with each passing day. From changing wall/room layouts to adding on a secondary structure midway through the build, Dustin was able to navigate the labyrinth that is Nantucket design and code rules. Dustin did not have to constantly consult with town boards during our brainstorming conversations, as he seems to have the codes taped to the inside of his head. His knowledge was confirmed as our modifications and additions sailed smoothly through HDC and the other planning boards on island. Our home build and subsequent office structure addition were a huge success. Dustin and Maury Associates have also worked on additional projects for us throughout our time in Nantucket. Most recently we finished an attic space and added a kids media/playroom to our home. I cannot recommend Maury Associates enough. Happy to have a more detailed conversation anytime.
