    I was in need of a metal crew that could do very high end copper work and was recommended this company by a major national player that owns a company in Denver, Co. The people at Custom Installations were amazing from start to finish, literally. They traveled here during the week for work and were so careful and respectful. Their copper/metal work is as good as I have ever seen. They just completed the most beautiful roof we have ever done for a homeowner. Their communication was fluid and consistent and we had zero issues. For a job with a ticket that size, we needed this to be a smooth process and Custom Installations Inc knocked it out of the park for us. Thank you guys!

    My husband and I used Custom Installations in 2020, (yes, I am so late on this review, but it is more than well deserved) to replace all of our old aluminum siding and garage roof due to storm damage. The whole company including administrative contacts were accommodating and personable through the whole process. They did they whole project in a snowstorm with many obstacles, but they pushed through and never made us feel like they were inconvenienced by the weather. This company was professional, and the workers were nothing but kind and hard working. We liked them so much that we used them again for another home we own, and they remembered me without hesitation. I 100% recommend this company. They are reliable, friendly and do great work.

    Custom installations is by far the best builder I have worked with thus far.Their crews are used to working on high-end homes and it shows. Their attention to detail, cleanliness, respectfulness for the property are all unmatched.We chose the DaVinci select composite shake roofing in weathered grey along with 20oz copper gutters, leaderheads, and downspouts. Perfection.A big thanks to David in sales, Bob as the site foreman/project manager on-site (huge thanks), Sock (owner), Clayton in the office, and the amazing crews.Five stars and one beautiful home.

    We recently had a new asphalt roof installed on our residence here in Wisconsin. Mr. Pohlman and his crew were professional, timely, and exacting in the quality of their work. The project started and ended on time with no issues. Our property was left in the same condition as when they started. Mr. Pohlman was always available by email and personal cell phone for any questions, and personally on site. Overall, an excellent experience all the way around. Very rare these days.

    We just hired Custom Installations to re-side & re-roof my home. We chose James Hardie, Board & Baton siding. The Custom Installations team was awesome, from my sales contact, Brad Hironimus, to the installers. Despite the house being originally constructed in the 1960s, it now looks brand new and I expect will further stand the test of time. The foreman assigned to our job, John Robinson, was exceptional. He was extremely responsive and always arrived on site with a great attitude. Whenever I had questions or concerns, he was easy to reach and successfully drove the team into delivering a fantastic result. I would definitely refer the Custom Installations team to anyone looking to improve their home.

    I had Custom Installations remove and replace our roof, skylights and gutters. My Sales person was Clayton Fritch and he was extremely helpful during the quotation process, selecting the options and answering questions. The new roof was completed in under two days during very hot days. They rotated installers on the roof and around the house to keep everyone safe in the heat. I knew what was happening every step of the way from excellent communication from the front office. I was told when people and supplies would be there, what was going on and informed of the timing. At the end, everything was clean and tidy with no debris left behind. It was easy, very reasonable (I quoted 4 roofers), and a job well done. I would highly recommend this company and am very pleased with the end result.

    July 2020, Custom Installations Inc came and installed a beautiful roof for a duplex being built at 829/831 Grove in Aurora for Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity. The roofing materials were donated by GAF through a grant program with Habitat for Humanity International. Custom Installation, a certified GAF installer, donated their labor to install the shingles. The project only took 2 1/2 days. They were very professional and the roof looks fantastic. I would recommend this company to do any roof. Thank you so much.

    We had a great experience with Custom Installations. David Burke was quick to come out and take a look at our roof after a hail storm and identified damage to our home. He then worked with our insurance company, walked us through our roofing options, any contract questions we had, and was involved from start to finish on our project.Stephanie Cross kept us updated on our project from a scheduling standpoint from beginning to end. John Robinson, our Field Manager, and his crew did a fantastic job. They were professional, quick and took great care with our property. Would definitely recommend Custom Installations and would certainly use them again in the future.

    The Custom Installations team is an AWESOME TEAM that will DELIVER A SOLID ROOFING PROJECT from start to finish.We first learned of the team through a nearby project. We called them up to just get a normal estimate, but that was just the beginning of a very fortunate journey!We worked primarily with our project manager Len who was simultaneously friendly, smart and professional. Len felt less like a project manager and more like a friend and roofing concierge. He kept the communications loop tightly closed between ourselves, Custom Installations and our insurance provider and was always available to answer questions via voice, text or e-mail. He never showed an ounce of not my problem mentality. He owned problems and addressed them early and often even communicating through the weekend to ensure our project kept a pace that was comfortable and on track. It always felt like he was available to answer and guide but it never felt like we were being pushed or prodded into any decision.Lens conversations were both friendly and extremely informative and clearly come from an extensive history of managing large new construction projects and crews from training to implementation. I have enough DIY curiosity to want to understand the installation of roofs and he was able to describe right down to the detail each piece, how it goes together, which nails, how far they are slotted, what its there for and why its valuable to go with one option versus the other, which metal to use when affixing this to that.. etc. No detail got by him.When it came to roofing selection, Len was able to guide us through the DaVinci Roofing System including having the appropriate gutters, downspouts, ridge vents, ice dam/water shield, synthetic underlayment and flashing/skylights included to ensure the job was done right with the right parts the first time.Before work started, Len put together an extensive and official long-form PDF contract with all of the terms outlined. The scope document was fairly written and easy to follow. No hidden conditions or confusing lingo! Here you can see Customs unique 10-year labor warranty. I talked to a dozen roofing contractors over the past 5 years and NOBODY ever estimated labor coverage for that long. These guys DEFINITELY plan to stand by their work and they have been around long enough for that to mean something!Later, I met Bob the Senior Site Supervisor who made sure all of the crews and materials were up to the task and well prepared for any circumstances they might encounter. Bob was also easy going and had an eye for detail. He even customized some copper prep for the open-drip-edge to fit a more functional-but-aesthetic profile when he saw a potentially awkward install situation weeks before the project even started. He was also always open to questions and fast to answer. He coordinated getting a subject matter expert (Erik) from the manufacturer DaVinci to visit the house and help the crew correctly address special areas. The crew already had expertise, but Bob bringing Erik to provide extra insights made me feel even better. It was a wise choice and another opportunity to see Customs resourcefulness!It was great to see every crew working. Nobody seemed stressed for work or time. The teams would work together sharing ladders and safety equipment to make sure that they all could navigate tricky areas safely and efficiently.I will end with a heartfelt thank you to the Custom Installations team including Len, Bob, Arturo, Salvatore and the owner Sock in addition to the roofing and gutter crews for a job well done. The new roof looks absolutely AMAZING and I am looking forward to years and years of feeling confident that Im protected with this fantastic new roof over my head.I rest better knowing now the ONLY water intrusion in the house I have to worry about is from a leaky basement or just a bad plumbing fixture!!! But the roof? Not a chance.I strongly recommend talking to these guys for your next roofing project. You will NOT be disappointed!

    Custom Installations helped me with an insurance claim due to hail damage. They did a great job getting me the money needed to do the job. I had other remodeling work to do first and due to COVID, it took much longer than I planned. During the entire process, they were patient waiting for me to get to their part of the job and when they did, it was quality and professional work.

    Great overall experience. I met Kevin May back in the fall of 2022 at a home show. I was able to schedule a roof inspection for the following week. He gave me an honest opinion on how my roof looked and the likelihood of getting anything from my insurance company. Before I was able to schedule the inspection with my insurance company, I had some health issues, so I wasnt able to get around to calling until almost a year later. Custom Installations still had all my information, so we were ready to get back up and running immediately. Within a week I had met with Kevin again and he came back for the roof inspection by Farmers insurance.About 3 weeks after this, the crew led by John Robinson was tearing off my roof and getting the new one installed. They also replaced my four skylights and installed new gutters. The crew was efficient and did a great job of cleaning up their mess and preventing any damage to my new deck. Each morning of the install, I woke up to an email from Stephanie Cross telling me what to expect and what they had finished the previous day.During the work the crew noticed some improperly installed siding where the previous owners had put an addition on the house and a roof vent that was no longer connected. Both issues were only visible when up on the roof due to their location, so I had never noticed. John and Kevin were able to show me pictures of the issues and suggest a course of action to get both addressed. They also were very nice about talking to the plumber I got to take a look at the vent and doing a much better job of explaining the issue than I could.Ill be calling Custom Installations again next year to get my siding done due to how smoothly the roof process went and how friendly and professional everyone was.

I was very happy with all aspects of the job, from my first interaction with Clayton, the office team and the onsite team. They always kept me posted on the schedule and showed up on time. They were very neat with the removal of the original roof and cleaned up after the project was completed. I would highly recommend them for any of your roofing needs.

    I recently installed a new roof on my house and Custom Installations not only gave me the best price, but they were also far and away the most professional and transparent company I got a bid from. They provided timely updates on sourcing the materials and scheduling the installation.The installation itself was extremely efficient and as tidy as could be expected. The crew braved sub-0 temperatures and still managed to complete the project within the timeline they quoted.A special shoutout to Kevin May, who was my main point of contact throughout. Kevin was diligent and timely answering my questions, scoping our the project, and working with us on custom requests. And John Robinson who led the team on site was professional and did an excellent job managing a large project.Overall I was extremely satisfied with the project, Custom Installations staff, and the result.     Up Date - Here I am 2 years after a complete exterior renovation (read below) and I am still as thrilled and pleased with the look, quality of work, pricing and assistance with working with Custom Installations Inc.From the initial in home consultation to the completion it went great . .I continue to get compliments and I truly am proud of the way my home looks and the way it makes my family feel about our home.I was looking for and in need of one supplier that could do it all - roof, siding, gutters, doors and windows. I had never had any extensive work performed on the exterior of my home so I was a bit of a novice at this. My consultant was knowledgeable about product and also understood my desired house look and budget. Very patient with me on all my questions, gave me options and helped me make some great decisions.Through the whole process I had daily updates from Kaylah in their customer support group . .keeping me posted and up to date.From the very beginning of the vendor selection process of who I was going to use all the way to completion I was very pleased with everyone that I spoke to as well as those that came out to do the actual work.A lot of great things to say, but I will sum it up as I am happy with my decision of selecting Custom Installations as well as the finished work and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

    I would definitely recommend custom insulation. They put a new roof on our house and garage. They were here first thing in the morning to start. His customer service skills were above average.     We had a wonderful experience with Brad and John Robinson who oversaw the day to day work that was done. Brad worked with my husband and I for over a year to make sure our job was done just right! We had a lot of work to be done and Brad was constantly checking in to make sure we were all on track, was always available to answer a phone call or answer questions via email. He always provided his professional opinion and helped guide us through the process. When it came time for the work to get done, John was the first one on site everyday, was willing to speak with us to review the days work and also always available to answer questions and talk things through with us.     Great experience with Custom Installations from start to finish. Brian and Marie came out initially to review my roof damage, and provided thoughtful and professional advice for dealing with insurance. As the scope of the claim broadened and required multiple inspections, they were onsite each time, and it was reassuring to have a professional acting as my advocate all along the way. I ultimately had my roof, siding, and gutters replaced, and the work was overseen by John and Dave, who made several visits as the work progressed to ensure everything stayed on track, and then again at completion.     John and Brian were great to work with for the installation/replacement of almost 4000 sq ft of siding and installation of all new gutters. It looks beautiful (neighbors have made multiple comments) and we were fully impressed with their professionalism and timeliness from start to finish. For almost 4000 sq ft of siding they were efficient, done in about 3-4 days. They went above and beyond to make sure we were informed and worked with us throughout the entire process with our insurance/made sure we were fully informed on timeline.     So my expectations were high, Clayton ensured the details were as I requested. Facia bead, gutter reveal and soffits work and look as specified. The installation was complicated and pricey. But the DeVince polymer roof looks great. Look of slate, it’s an upgrade worth considering. You get what you pay for, Clayton was the value added.

    Honestly, if I could give this company 10 stars, I would! We had hail damage to our roof and a neighbor suggested Custom Installations. Kevin May was our original contact and he walked us through the entire process, always there to answer any questions, explaining everything from the HOA approval, permits needed, the materials they would use, etc. Kevin also worked with our insurance company to maximize our settlement. He was a WONDERFUL person to have on our team! Chris Tsipis also provided much appreciated information as the project started to take shape and kept in touch with updates all the time. The hard working installation crew was amazing, and they really made sure our home and garden was protected from the ongoing work. When finished, the crew cleaned up with great care. The roofing shingles are beautiful and the quality is outstanding! This company prides itself on professional workmanship and superior materials.     I worked with Clayton Fritsch from Custom Installations.. He was most helpful every step of the way. Everything that was going to happen was explained in detail.I never knew there was so much to getting a roof replaced and having it done properly.The crew led by John Robinson were professional and polite.     This review is long overdue, but I wanted to thank Ted and John the two people that I had the most contact with during this project. Their professionalism, workmanship and availability are over the top. We had a roof leak and while Ted was doing his inspection he discovered that we also had hail damage, he did all of the work with the insurance company and he and John continued to monitor the workmanship during and after the job.     We recently noticed a neighbor having her roof repaired/replaced and asked her who was doing the work. She explained she contacted Custom Installations, and spoke with Mr. Eric Bernstein, and after speaking with him about the damage to her roof, she agreed to have Custom Installations replace her roof.We then, also contacted Custom Installations and spoke with Mr. Bernstein and asked him to please come out and inspect our roof. He was at our home within an hour of our phone conversation. He immediately gave the roof a full inspection, taking photos and explaining the extensive hail damage that he discovered.He advised us to contact our insurance company to request a claims adjuster to come out and also examine the roof. A day or two later, the adjuster as well as Mr. Bernstein, came out to make a joint inspection. Mr. Bernstein and the adjuster agreed that the roof was extensively damaged and needed replacement. Mr. Bernstein called us several times to be sure we were well informed and to answer any questions. Within a week, we received a call from the roofing project manager advising us about the project and setting up a start date, etc. Mr. Bernstein continued to stay in contact with us throughout the preliminary planning, answering questions and providing a schedule of the work project and time frame.Custom Installations did an amazing job! The prep work, involving the covering and protection of our yard and landscape was remarkable, as well as the clean-up process! The work crew were careful and considerate of the entire yard.     Completed work May, 2021. Custom Installations completed replacement of our siding, gutters, downspouts, gutter guards and soffits and fascia. They are a top-notch company. They are reliable, honest and they do excellent work and gave me a fair price. From the first time that John Panko came to my home and then Brad Hironimus coordinated the project to the time that I started with the project they were on target to meet my expectations. When I wanted to replace the support posts by our front door, Brads response was, I will make that happen. They instilled a sense of confidence all along the way.     Custom Installations first worked on my home in 2018 when a few shingles needed to replaced on my roof following a wind & rain storm.The people who did the work at that time did an excellent job, and I was treated as a valuable customer even though the job was just a minor one costing only about $300.I was so pleased that I called them again when I needed a total roof replacement for my home following the recent storms wed had in Lake Villa. I own a 3 flat in Evanston which was built in 1894. After the hail storm of April 2020, it ended up getting damaged. I interviewed 5 different contractors to see who I should work with.After my first meeting with “Len” from Custom’s, I knew I had the right company. Even so, I continued to interview others and talk to contractor friends of mine. With each contractor I/We met, i kept comparing them to Custom’s - they had set the bar high.Once I pulled the trigger and hired Custom’s we began work on the design and color scheme. Len and the team were very patient with me as I began this new endeavor.Part of the work was an insurance claim.     We were recently hit with a really bad hail storm right as we were trying to sell our house. We needed someone to come in and replace all of our siding, roof, windows, gutters, as well as some other smaller damaged items. We were fortunate to have someone recommend custom installations to us as opposed to working with a lot of the storm chasers that were in the area. They came out walked us through everything to our satisfaction and got moving on the repairs very quickly recognizing we needed to move homes soon. As a result I believe our house was one of the first that was fully completed in our subdivision.Throughout the whole process they were extremely communicative. We would get daily emails on who would be out doing what on any given day as the work was going on. Whenever we had questions or concerns I was able to get a reply to an email within 15-20 minutes. Even late in the evening I would usually get a reply within 25-30 minutes from the team. If I did have to call in quickly I never had issues getting in touch with who I needed as well. This goes for the back office as well as field team managers.Due to the great work they did and the speed at which they did it we ended up selling our house above asking price before the end of the summer sale window. The house looked spectacular and we believe that was a big part of why this happened.I would definitly use them again if we ever needed any of this type of work done. Talking to several nieghbors prior to moving I know they all regretted going with people that came to them as opposed to finding someone like Custom Installations to work with. Both in terms of quality and speed to repair everything.

    My neighbor was getting their roof done and our area had a lot of hail damage. I spoke to Kevin May who immediately checked my roof and saw damage. He came out again with the insurance agent. My entire roof was redone. Kevin kept his work and was on time every time. The project manager (John Robinson) made sure the work was done properly, on time and they kept a very clean work area around my home. They also worked around our schedule. Talking to our Sales Consultant, Kevin, convinced us what a quality company they are and the project experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish.All of the workers were professional and courteous.There was constant notification daily regarding the schedule of the project and our Production Field Supervisor, John, was regularly on-site and constantly following up on any issues.     Clayton from Custom Installations has done a great job managing the set-up and coordinating the various groups of workers (roofers, siding and gutter installers). He keeps the residents informed. Hes very responsive to their needs and concerns. One of my neighbors has a lovely garden that she works tirelessly on. He made sure it was protected when they worked on her unit. Hes friendly, easy to talk to and follows up to make sure your issues and concerns have been addressed.

    Recently had a new roof installed using Custom Installations and we couldnt be happier. Brian and Ryan came out and put together an estimate, with photographs and detailed information on what exactly they were proposing. After the initial proposal we worked primarily with Ryan, and he was responsive to both emails and texts, answering all our questions in a timely and professional manner. As the project moved forward, we worked with Danielle in the office who handled all the necessary permits and made that process a breeze. Once we had the permits Ashley took over and gave us all the details and coordinated everything with the actual project execution, we knew what to expect every step of the way! Finally, on the day of the install John was onsite to manage the tear off and new roof install. He was polite and professional and answered all of our questions. He even came back after the project was complete and trimmed a couple of areas of metal around our storage shed that they had also roofed without me even asking, he just knew I had mentioned some concern about the edge and that I would need to trim it, but he went above and beyond and came back and took care of it himself when he picked up the leftover materials.Their prices are competitive and everyone we worked with was polite and professional. They did a great job of keeping us informed and were quick to reply via email, which we greatly appreciated. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks!

    I’m a contractor and Custom installations proves themselves to us each house. They’re a great company and really care. My personal house recently had severe damage from a hail storm. They worked from before 7 AM until 7:45 in the evening until it got dark. All with a good attitude and no collateral damage! You can’t go wrong with these guys!

    Due to storm damage from a wind storm in late December 2021 we decided to see if we could get the siding on one side of our house repaired. I left a voice message with Custom Installations after hours and received a call the following day. The next day, a Saturday, Bruce arrived to look at the damage. He said they could fix the damage, but since the siding was 31 years old it would be unlikely it could be matched and it was more likely the entire house would have to be re-sided. In the end, the entire house was re-sided, and Bruce, Clayton, and John all made it happen. There were challenges along the way, like when they found that due to the old siding installation, the soffit, facia, and my four-year-old gutters would all have to be taken down to do the siding. With severe weather predicted for Wednesday and the loss of work due to unforeseen issues on Monday, John and Clayton said they would do “whatever it took” to get everything done on Tuesday – and they did. With John working with the siding crew, the siding, soffit, and fascia where all completed in time for the gutter crew to arrive and rehang our gutters even better than the job the original installers did. Great job guys and a hearty thank you for all your positive determination, hard work, friendliness, and patience! I would gladly use Custom Installations for any future work at our house and would certainly recommend them to anyone else.
