    Super happy with Jared and his team! We recently bought a house that had a roof replacement done about 5 years ago by another local roofer. Our home inspector noted some concerns about it during the his inspection prior to our purchase. We knew there were some potential issues, but didn’t realize the extent of those until Jared performed an inspection. We ended up having our entire roof replaced, including a large section of rafters, that was necessary to address some support and slope issues. Jared was very honest, transparent, and straight forward with his assessment and quote. He was personally involved in overseeing the corrections, and ensuring the job was done right by his crew. We were very impressed by the professionalism and work product! Our new roof looks great, and the structural and cosmetic concerns were addressed in their entirety. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

    Remember that scene in ET where the government comes in to wrap the house for containment? At the beginning phase of our new roof repair, I looked out our back window and saw our house was literally wrapped in blue plastic sheeting to catch debris - even the back porch was blocked and encased in plastic! Greatly appreciated the care taken to protect our landscaping. The crew was fantastic! In 4 hrs, the roof was completely stripped, repaired, and prepped for the shingles. In another 4 hrs, the roof was completed. Every bit of scrap disappeared upon cleanup. (Even the neighbors took notice of the precise teamwork and great job performed.) Throughout the entire process, Jared provided clear, prompt communication and assisted with the insurance claim. Praise to all involved.

    Our roof needed replacement after a recent storm. After the adjuster inspected, I called Southern Construction because they were fixing a number of roofs in the neighborhood. Everybody seemed to be pleased, and I definately wanted a local roofer. Jared came out right away and gave me an estimate, and as busy as they were, they started the next week. His crew was a very professionable group of hard working men.They removed the house and garage roof in a day, and replaced them the next. The roof looks wonderful, and they spent a long time cleaning up nails and leaving no trace. Jared was very nice and knowlegeable, and even took care of most of the insurance work for me.I cant tell you how much I appreciated his patience while waiting for the insurance check.     We had damage due to the recent tornado so you can imagine we were stressed. Southern Construction was one of the companies our insurance recommended. Jared was out within 3 days of the tornado to assess our roof. He patched an area of concern at no charge while we waited for roof shingles to be ordered and delivered. Within a week, we had a new roof on the house and shop. The Southern Construction roofing crew was knowledgeable and very organized. Barbara in the office kept us up to date and was always available to answer questions. We are extremely pleased and would recommend these guys without hesitation.

    Our Spencer Law Firm buildings were damaged by wind and hail. We called Southern Construction to assess the damage. Jared came the same day and evaluated the damages and gave a very reasonable estimate.     I was out of town the two days they worked on the roof and the photo of the actual house is what I came home to. I was horrified! It looked nothing like the sample that we looked at and chose(see sample and an online photo of it on a roof). On the up side the job is well done and the cleanup immaculate and efficient and guaranteed for 30 years. Unfortunately, every time I look up at the roof I want to cry. It actually looks more dark brown when the sun gets brighter, the one color I was very specific about that I wanted to avoid. So for professional workmanship I give them a 5 star, just be real sure that what is being laid on your roof looks like the sample you saw because you will be looking at it a long time..

    Great service! I was amazed that they were able to get completely done in one day! They were very careful of plants and bushes. They did a great job getting all of the debris and nails up, havent found any at all. Wholeheartedly recommend!

    Had a few rounds with hail during bad weather last week. A little concerned there might be serious roof damage. A friend recommended Southern Construction Roofing. He said they had put a roof on his house and did an excellent job. Got an appt. The owner, Jared Forbus came over and did the inspection. He was open, honest, and gave good recommendations. Have had folks before that were not quite so open and honest. Will not hesitate to hire him when the roof does need to be replaced. A refreshing encounter with a great, hard working young man.

    Great experience. Jared responded to my cry for help promptly came out the first time I called. I have an older metal roof and needed someone to listen to my questions and address them clearly and honestly. He did both. He has given me hope not a runaround.     Im very impressed with not only the excellent craftsmanship but also the personal from the owner through the installers to the receptionist. I had an air conditioning company in Florida for 20 years and only wish I could of had an installation crew that was as effective as Southern Constructions.     Our roof was at its end of life. We had a complete tear off, new decking, chimney flashing, removal of turbine vents ,etc. They covered shrubs ,flower beds, removed items away from house to keep from damaging and put everything back once job was done. Cleaned up all debris and went around entire house picked up nails and left the property as clean as it was before they started. The crew started working on arrival and didnt stop until job completed. Im very satisfied with their service & Colbys estimate is what we paid no unexpected price changes. Roof looks amazing.     We had new roof as original was staring to leak. Fair price, new underlayment, replaced vents, roof flashings and new drip edge. They were very professional and removed the old roofing materials, did a great job in policing debris, including one employee that used a magnet and swept for stray nails.     Jared came to my house and gave a thorough estimate that was lower than the other estimates I had received from other local contractors, and his estimate included much higher quality materials than the other contractors had quoted in their estimates. His thoroughly professional and very pleasant manner were what really tipped the scales in his favor, though. Anyone can give a good price, but when it comes to customer service and the quality of a companys work and the materials used, it really makes picking a contractor for replacing your roof stress-free because you realize you can count on Jarod to be as good as his word.I will highly recommend him and his company to anyone who needs a roof repaired or replaced, or any home remodeling and repair work done in the Mountain Home area. Hes licensed and bonded, and he and his workers do a fine job, and were very thorough with the cleanup after the job was done, too. They ran magnets over my entire lawn - front and back, and my driveway, too in order to make sure no errant nails were left behind for someone to step on or get stuck in my vehicles tires. That kind of conscientiousness is a rare thing these days. You can trust Southern Construction to do the job right, at a fair price, and on time. I cant recommend them more highly.

    Great experience. Shingle roof needed replaced. Jared was quick to respond and gave an evaluation and showed us all the problem areas and issues. We decided to hire southern construction and they were beyond prompt and professional. They showed up in the morning and were done that day. After the tear off, there was way more damage than anticipated and decking needed replaced. Jared was fair with the adjustment for the additional materials required and barely went over the quote of the shingle replacement even though they had to do more work and buy decking (not cheap). I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Crew was professional. They cleaned up afterwards to a point you’d hardly know they had been there except the new beautiful roof. I Couldn’t recommend them more.

    Jared & his team did an amazing job. We had a roof installed by an individual that thought they knew what they were doing, who was a subcontractor of the now defunct Willow Homes. Needless to say when Southern Construction tore shingles off, they found a portion of the roof that had existing shingles never torn off, various places of rotten wood. In addition , the subcontractor short stacked the shingles which led to leaks and the 2yr old shingles to curl up and to cup, not to mention no new flashing installed. We are thankful for Jared and his crew, the roof looks amazing and no leaks which is an added bonus!!! Highly recommend Southern Construction, well worth it.

    Had my roof replaced in 2019 by a different company and they completely destroyed my roof. after 3 years loosing money due to crooks coming out to try and fix it I heard about southern construction. BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT. not only did they come out and look at the roof, they gave us a big discount due to amount of money lost in 3 years. they got roof done very quick and even added couple more vents to roof without extra charge. they are very knowledgeable and very kind and VERY reasonable priced. if you need anything roof related contact them because I dont want to see anyone going through what I went through** I waited to do this review until we had a big storm to make sure roof was fixed and last big storm we had not one single drop or stain in our celling **

    We are very pleased with the roof work performed by Southern Construction. Jared and his crew were pleasant and professional. The quote received was specific to the materials and work. We knew the roof was in bad shape but did not know the extent of rot. Two years ago a new layer of shingles had been put on the house but the work was not done properly and we had leakage in multiple areas of the attic and into living area as well as shingle slippage and loss. We were very hesitant to put our trust in any company. Jared promised that the cost would not change regardless of the extent of damage found and he was true to his word even though the job took quite a bit longer than projected due to the extremely poor job done previously. I was very pleasantly surprised by the clean up job- everything was nice and neat when they left. I feel confident that the work and materials were all top quality and we now have a roof that we can depend on!

    Finally, after 14 years of living in Mountain Home and requesting service of one kind or another for my property, I can actually say for the first time, I am extremely impressed by the service I received from Jared Forbus, and his crew at Southern Construction Roofing, LLC.My experience with requesting service and getting it in the Mountain Home area has been hit and miss for the most part. I either get someone to show up, give me a quote, and never show up to do the job, or I contract for the job and become a low priority by constantly being pushed back on time.I did not have that experience with Southern Construction, Roofing. It’s completely amazing to see his crew work! They always clean up after themselves which is typically a problem with roofers!     Jared and his team helped us at the moose lodge from start to finish we have two different roofs one was leaking and while he was up on it he was able to see that the other roof was damaged from the factory he delt with the manufacturers of the shingles and the insurance co.     These folks were already spread thin but they accepted our job after a tornado put a tree through our bedroom. In just a week our home has been mostly rebuilt including demolition, building walls, replacing ceiling joists and roof decking, installing windows, getting electricians in and getting us reroofed.     Storms, hail, wind, & tornado damages to homes in the Mountain Home & surrounding areas. I have my home up for sale at the time & I wanted someone to look at my rooftop in case there had been any damage the might have effect on the sale. I called Southern Construction & was told someone would be in touch with me & there was no cost inspection offered. Within a few hours I received a call from Jared Forbis the company owner asking if he could come look at the roof. He arrived minutes later and went up for a look. I was fortunate there was little damage. Jared was obviously a young but consummate professional. I assured him I had no intention of wasting him time but I sure did appreciate it.     Ive had many roof replaced over the years and multiple addresses using Southern Construction and they cant be beat. There quality of work is amazing, they clean up after job is complete and you never knew they were there. The guys were very nice and answered any questions I had. I would recommend Southern for any roofing job and will continue to use them on all my future roofing jobs.

    Southern Construction put on our new roof after hail damage about 6 years ago. When we needed a couple new shingles due to some tree damage, he was able to look up the type and color as I couldn’t remember it, then gave us the extra shingles all this time later!     Jared and his crew are amazing. Jared was very prompt in returning my phone call. He was quick to come to place a bid. The bid was given one week and I had a new roof the next week.The crew were amazingly fast, did good work and were courteous. They did a super cleanup. Unbelievably, it only took one hour beyond one day (they ran out of daylight) to take off the old roof, effect necessary repairs and install a new roof.Jared warranties his work, which I count as a plus.Jared and his crew are a first class act. I would definitely recommend Southern Construction for your roofing needs.
