Ames and Associates Custom Builders are an incredible outfit and I couldn’t be more pleased to have had them complete my duplex at Fifth and Johnson Street in Missoula. They prepared a budget that fit my needs and helped guide me through all the higher cost changes I chose to upgrade my build. The General Contractor Jesse is a pleasure to work with and a fantastic communicator. I always felt like I was in the driver’s seat for all decision points. He also went above and beyond to help me assemble sunshades on the top forth story deck and drove his lift over to boom my furniture straight through the sliding porch doors for each unit. Every sub on the job was also a pleasure to work with, especially their tile guy and landscaper Adam Sherba. Lastly, the project was also completed on time in middle of likely the most volatile and unpredictable integrated supply chains in recent history. Ames and Associates are an outstanding crew. I am glad I found them for the job and take comfort knowing they are around for any future project I need. Thanks guys! -

Ames and Associates build an ADU in Missoula for us. The project was finished on time and within budget despite the fact that several unexpected expenses were encountered. Jessie was extremely responsive answering our questions and addressing our concerns quickly and professionally. It was a good experience and I would highly recommend him. -

After we decided we wanted to Remodel our kitchen and basement in our house which was originally built in the early 1940’s one of the first names we thought of was Jesse Ames.We had gotten to know of Jesse Ames over the years from previous projects he had done for other people over the years so we knew he was well established. We also knew that Jesse has a reputation has built on hard work, quality, his ability to do high end work and craftsmanship.During the first part of the process, Jesse created a line by line estimate for us so we could see every aspect of the process and projected costs. This was super helpful and I think helped me establish trust in the process because all the pricing was right there. After we set the project details and budget we had to wait a few months for material procurement and for Jesse and his team to become available for our project. I can tell you the wait was well worth it.Jesse and his team installed a new basement bathroom, which included some difficult plumbing work due to the age of the plumbing and they also had to fix some non-compliant plumbing issues. They fabricated and installed a custom wardrobe, cabinets and vanity. They built a new shower and tiled everything beautifully. They built a custom walk in closet for my wife that is functional and perfect in every way for everyday use.Jesse and his team built out a really nice and usable laundry area. Before, the laundry room was poorly laid out but Jesse and his team redesigned it with new utility sink, work counter and built in closet storage area so everything is functional.Another thing I appreciate about the work they did is the framing in the basement. Jesse’s team got all the duct work covered in such way that you dont feel like you are in basement. Some of the soffit framing was quite elaborate and difficult and the results are outstanding.Jesse and his team opened up our old galley kitchen into the living room by eliminating a wall and redesigning the space. Even though the kitchen square footage remained the same it feels so much more bigger and open. Jesse’s feedback and design knowledge was so valuable in how he knew how to maximize the space, and modernize our old kitchen. Custom soft close cabinets, fixed our sub floor where there were issues from previous work by others, and craftsmanship details throughout. We love it.While in the process of doing our job we had part of an oak tree fall down, and even though it was not part of the job, Jesse helped us get a tree guy. Jesse then took it upon himself to get the tree limb milled and he used that milled oak from our back yard into a fire place mantle downstairs and also in our kitchen for window sills. He didnt have to do that, but thats just the kind of guy Jesse is, thoughtful and committed to craftsmanship.Jesse and his crew are amazing people to be around. We got to know a few of the key guys and really enjoyed working with them and getting to know them. We truly consider them as our friends now. There were some ups and down along the way, and one thing I learned that a remodel can be stressful at times for a homeowner living in a construction zone. I think Jesse and his team always did their best to make sure we were always happy with the end result and we were.Jesse and his team are true professionals, craftsmen and are also just good and enjoyable people to be around. We really enjoyed getting to know the crew and think of them as our friends as much as the workers who transformed our space. Honestly they came in here and saved the day for us. We love living in our spaces Jesse and his Team created for us. I have recommended Jesse and his team to my friends and family without hesitation. When it comes time to do further work on our house I will be calling on Jesse and his Team again. They are who I trust. -

Jesse and his crew were great to work with in building our house during an incredibly difficult time. Very responsive and on top of ordering things ahead of time so that we didn’t experience any long delays. I think he did as good of a job as possible sticking to the budget - inflation and supply issues certainly made that difficult. And Jesse really came through at the end to get us in our house since we had to be out of our rental. -

Ira and his crew under-promise and over-deliver, won’t hire anyone other than Ames-Vasgaard for future remodels. Good outfit! -
