We highly recommend Carmel Builders for your remodeling project. The first call to Carmel Builders was professional and informative and after learning about their process, we knew we wanted to partner with them. They have outstanding design and layout support and expert staff for finishes and fixtures!Every aspect of the project from design through construction was tracked and documented in a project management system, making it very easy to know what was happening and when. Our project manager met with us weekly to review what happened the previous week and what we could expect the following week. These weekly meetings allowed us to discuss any questions we may have had. Carmel has longer term subcontractors and suppliers, which speaks to the reputable company they are. If you are thinking about remodeling, give them a call, you won’t be disappointed!!

We just finished up our basement finishing project with Carmel Builders and are so pleased! Not only does the project outcome look great and give us the added functional space we were looking for, the process along the way was very smooth. From design, to selections, to construction, we enjoyed working with all the staff at Carmel. We have quite a few neighbors who are also in the midst of basement remodels, and we were certainly the quickest timeline of them all. Additionally, the quality of the construction is high. Robert, our project manager, paid great attention to detail and was on site a lot. Anything that came up along the way was communicated clearly and in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend Louis and the team at Carmel Builders to friends and neighbors for their remodeling needs.

During the months it took to complete the remodel of our 10,000 square foot River Hills home, we were repeatedly impressed with the organization and professionalism of both the Carmel crew and their subcontractors. Carmel takes care to understand your vision in detail before beginning a project and to explain the process (and any problems that arise) as the project proceeds. Once our project began, there was never a down day. No time was wasted. The work proceeded on schedule and was completed to our satisfaction on time and on budget. We would not hesitate to use Carmel again for any future remodeling needs.

My husband and I were looking to remodel our Master Bath. We heard about Carmel Builders through our friends, family, and neighbors and they all had positive things to say, agreeing that the process was hassle free. Our existing space was “funky” due to the layout, and we needed more space. We knew our home is our forever home, and an important aspect was to have it look and feel luxurious like an upscale hotel. Since we knew the style we were looking for, the design process was easy and enjoyable. Throughout the design and construction process, we used CoConstruct, a tool used for managing projects. This kept things very organized with all documentation in one area. We loved the fact that we always knew when people were going to be in our home. Remodeling is always emotional, but with the communication tools provided, it was manageable. One thing we didn’t expect were issues with the supply chain. Our faucets were delayed, but Carmel Builders provided a great solution so that we could still use our bathroom until they arrived. Our Project Manager, Art, was great! I highly recommend Carmel Builders and would definitely use them again in the future.

Carmel Builders worked with us to design and construct a 360 square foot family room addition onto our 1 1/2 story 1939 Cape Cod house. There were challenges in coming up with a roof design that “fit” with the character of the existing house and their design team worked very collaboratively with us to explore the pros and cons of different options. What resulted was a plan that really gave us what we wanted — vaulted ceiling, family room with fireplace, large windows and patio door looking out into the gardens, a pantry, coat closet and a back door entry/“mud room” space for taking on/off shoes and boots — all within our budget.Although the design phase was very smooth, the construction phase had its share of bumps along the way, many the result of factors beyond Carmel’s control (e.g. weather delays, covid delays, supply chain issues etc). To their credit, the Carmel staff were responsive to our concerns and always worked with us to ensure that we would be satisfied and happy with the end result. And we are.

We had the opportunity to build an addition with Carmel Builders and couldnt be more pleased. Louis, Art and Tracy were amazing to work with, communicating with us every step of the way. Art came out in the middle of a weekend wind storm to ensure our in-progress room was locked down tight. Tracy helped us pick out carpets, furniture, brick, tile, paint and so much more. Her insights transformed the room into a comfortable respite. Carmels contractors were amazing - friendly, hard-working and experts at their crafts.We give Carmel Builders an A+ and highly recommend them to anyone considering a home addition.

Our first floor ended up exactly how we envisioned - from design, materials selection, to project management and keeping the site clean and still live-able. I cant say enough positive things about the fantastic job the Carmel team did with my kitchen remodel! Louis and his team were forthcoming at every stage of the process about timelines, scheduling, and cost. When issues came up, as they always do in projects of this size, they kept me informed and they kept the project on schedule. They were also conscientious about keeping the space clean, which is no easy task when theres no space on-site for a dumpster and the project lasts 16 weeks.In addition to their professionalism, they all have a keen eye for design and came up with creative ideas to best utilize my space (a hot commodity in a condo!) that are also modern and fun. Thanks to Louis, Robert, Shelly, and everyone else at Carmel for their hard work - Id recommend them to anyone shopping around for their home remodel!
