    Excelent work: if you have an EV and are looking to add a wall charger, look no further than Baily and Shipp. Their Technicians, answered all my questions and gave great insight into setting an EV charger up to code; reliable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy, work is done to right. Technicians, Shaun and Andre work very efficiently; Shaun is very knowledgeable. Work was done neatly. Very happy with outcome.

    Bailey & Shipp made a complicated experience flawless. I live in a community where the HOA only approved EV Charger installs as long as the line is run under the sidewalk. I am the 1st in my community to get a EV Charger installed so there was little to no sample size for me to work with. The overall process was great as Bailey & Shipp did the consultation by phone only needing pictures. The guys that did the install were easy to communicate with explaining the process and their progress in detail. Not once did the electricity in my home need to be shut off while they did their work and they provided the pedestal for my Charger. The work is inspected and certified. Overall with not much information out there about EV Charger installs like mine Bailey & Shipp made the process as simplified and smooth as can be. I will definitely recommend them to Neighbors and Friends.

    We are more than pleased with the electrical work performed by Alex, Aaron and Sean of Bailey & Shipp Electric. Several of the rooms in my home were dark and lacked sufficient lighting. This made my home look a little dated. Those days are no more. The crew installed 26 recessed ceiling lights in my dining room, living room, and four bedrooms. With the dimmers on the lights, I can change the mood. I have sufficient lighting for reading and my art shows well. The crew was very efficient, clean and friendly. They explained each thing that needed to be done in great detail. You could not ask for a better crew to work in your home. I knew Bailey & Shipp Electric were the best in their field, due to exceptional prior working experience with them. They go above and beyond to get the job done effectively and provide great customer care. I highly recommend Bailey & Shipp Electric.

    Had a very complicated job that entailed assembling a very delicate glass chandelier, and hanging it in a 20 foot high entry way. Carlos and Mikey were absolutely amazing, incredibly careful with the pieces, hung the chandelier perfectly, and even made a secondary run to the store for correct light bulbs. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and will certainly be contacting them for any future electrical work around my home. Id give 10 stars if I could.

    Ok, First off - you can find no better company than Bailey & Shipp Electric.My first call to them I spoke directly to one of the owners as I had an odd request. My request was to install a tall pole (light pole) in my back yard along with a nesting platform for raptors attached to the top. (I know sounds very crazy).They immediately said they could do it and better yet they had light pole on hand and the plan was in motion.Now to the day of installation - the machine operator was the best and could thread a needle. He maneuvered between a pool and garage with less than maybe 2” without touching.They even worked seamlessly with a security company that also installed 2 cameras on the pole - one for the platform and the other for the yard.My yard was tore up a tad from the tracks of the machine but - they came back and filled the low spots and fixed everything - even though it was not their fault as my yard was very wet from the rain and my yard is like a wet land with no where for runoff. The owner insisted as they want their customers to receive the best service.Bottom line - they are the best company around for this work. Do not hesitate to use them for your next job or project!!In the picture you will see the light pole and nesting platform which is very tall.

    Weve been using Bailey & Shipp since we moved into our house in mid-2023. Theyve been out to our house three times now; each visit was pre-scheduling went by without a hitch. The service is professional, the front-end team is very timely with their communication, and the crews clean up after themselves before they leave. This most recent event we had B&Ss Sean and Andre out to install a fan in our bathroom. This required three holes in the drywall, dealing with insulation, a small amount of rewiring. The project was done in less than four hours, and the two cleaned up before they left - great job overall. Well continue to use B&S for all of our electrical needs.

    Anyone looking for a professional, and hard working electrician, hire Matt Reynolds aka Boom. Matt walked us through different options, heard what our needs were than suggested the best options. His works was clean and precise. He installed, new dimmers 6 recessed lights in our living room, new garage lights. And a new front yard post light! Hire Boom!

    Great company. Evan and Tyler were great. They were able to quickly change a chandelier that was difficult to get to in a stairwell. They were friendly, polite, professional and efficient. They also cleaned up after themselves and even wiped down the new chandelier after it was hung. I recommend this company and will definitely call them again when I have future electrical work.

    Dave & Derrick from Bailey & Shipp did an amazing job at my house today! They had to get our grounding up to code and took a look at a few other project my wife and I were interested in doing. One in particular was an old weathered outlet. D&D took one look and insisted that it be replace ASAP due to it being a ‘hot box’ live and uncovered wires had burnt the old metal box. They did a clean cut around and cleared out the old box and added new wires and installed new outlet. Patched the wall back up and ready for contractor to finish it up. They were both super professional and willing to answer questions. Would be happy to have them back for future work/projects!

    Highly recommend Bob and his team! We called 20 electricians and received 7 estimates and Bailey & Shipp were by far the best value!Our house was built in the 1940s and needed safety and other updates/repairs plus we added an EV charger. This required an upgraded main panel and new panel in the detached shed.Our technician Eddie and his tech helper Dan did fantastic work from repairing old/unsafe outlets and wiring to digging the trench to the shed for the EV charger and panel, to installing new outlets and light switches. We asked for a ton of various work and they knocked it all out of the park! Extremely happy with the turn key work including all the permits and inspections without problems (during a pandemic!).I’ll try to attach some before and after photos to give an idea of the scope of work.Thank you Bob, Eddie, Dan and the rest of the team!!

    The crew that came out to help today was wonderful. I called this morning with a small electrical problem I had, and they were able to fit me in within a few hours and solve my problem.The only downside of the whole process was the cost, the techs were there a total of 23 minutes from when they rang the doorbell and when they left, and the service call was billed at two hours.That said, the office was upfront about the cost and the fact that they charge a minimum 2 hours at 175/h.All and all a great company

    Eddie and his crew were great at placing a whole home generator and surge suppressor. On time or early both days to complete the job (except for natural gas connect). Seemed knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Moved and replanted bushes, left site in great shape. But setting up the generator and connecting it to the circuit board is only the beginning of the process if you are going to run the generator on your natural gas feed. In our case, it took a couple of inspections, a plumber to run the gas line over the garage door to the generator on the opposite side of the gas meter and a new meter ($385). Doing all this before and after Christmas took an additional month. Lowes, from whom we purchased the generator, was useless in completing the job. Bailey & Shipp admitted their employee was not up to par in scheduling additional services and was replaced. The plumber that installed the gas line, Williams Services (hired by Bailey & Shipp) was the best at keeping us informed and getting things done. But Dave at Bailey & Shipp was very pleasant and professional completing installation, running a successful test and waiting for the county inspector. Either Lowes or Bailey & Shipp should do a better job explaining steps and timing necessary to get the generator up and running after the equipment is placed in the yard. If that is accomplished, I would award 5 stars for competence, professionalism, friendliness and a job done well. Same for Williams Services as they are — a family business that is run with personal attention.

I received a call from JP Shipp himself to make sure I was taken care of during the unexpected outage resulting from the fire in the midst of a blizzard and they still performed quality work the whole way.     The work that Matt and Hugo performed on the electrical system of my house was nothing short of brilliant! It had become essential to remove the residual old-style knob and tube wiring in my 100-year old house in order to maintain access to a good home insurance policy here in Maryland, and any doubts I had about the possibility of achieving that goal (a very complicated task per the review of the house by other electricians) were completely dispelled by the time this Bailey and Shipp team finished their work. Matt was enthusiastic about showing me the steps he was taking to visualize the knob and tube feeder system joining the modern wiring at the receptacles and switches, which included everything from him slinking into the space under the 2nd floor eaves to pinpoint lines passing up the wall toward the attic and crawling into the tiny attic space in order to remove them, to mapping out the lines partially hidden by wood veneer ceiling panels in the basement and finding their junction panel covered by paint in a first floor wall. To say that it was a 3-dimensional maize would be an understatement, but Matt figured it out (even mulling it through overnight prior to the second day, I kid you not) and Hugo provided the necessary rewiring to get the electrical system up and running again without marring any of my plaster walls. In my view this was probably the best money I ever spent in getting an exceptionally important job done. Thank you, thank you Bailey and Shipp!!!

    Great all around experience from start to finish! The quote process was quick and pain free and Ashton was extremely patient answering all my questions regarding some work that I needed done. On the day of, Evan and Seth were great to work with, worked to ensure minimal impact as I worked from home and did an amazing job! The next day when I thought I had an issue, Bob was very patient troubleshooting with me over the phone. When the problem couldnt be resolved Evan came back out to assist and helped me determine the problem was with a ceiling fan.     I live out of state and needed a rework/repair of a not to code modification of some wiring in my deceased mothers house attic to get it ready for sale. Bailey & Shipp responded quickly to my problem, provided a rough estimate of cost based on a photograph, scheduled a date and time, arrived on time and finished the work efficiently and neatly and explained to me what they had to do. They even provided electronic photographs of the completed work that I sent to the buyers.     I am so excited about the excellent installation and service by Carlos and Hugo., who were really great and explained everything. They replaced our 45 year old electrical panel with a new 200A panel and brought our grounding up to code. Plus, they did an amazing job installing a new sub panel in the garage for my woodworking tools. The wire run to the garage was tricky, but they did a fantastic job - just one small access cutout and it isn’t even that visible. You could hardly tell that Carlos and Hugo were here - everything was cleaned up and put back.I can’t wait to start using the wood shop and not worry about tripping breakers!I’d definitely recommend them for any install or service.     Reached out for an estimate to fix some crossed wires on a 4-pole switch setup. Heard back from them the next business day. After walking through the issue, rather than pushing to have a tech come out to diagnose the issue and charging me a high consultation or dispatch fee, they asked me to send them some pictures of the switches, then called me back to advise me how to correct the issue. It was a quick and simple fix. Where other companies wanted to charge a high fee to even take a look, Bailey & Shipp just wanted to resolve the issue and make it easy on me.

    My husband came across Bailey & Shipp years ago at a convention and decided to book our generator service with them. They honored my husbands military service with a discount which was awesome. We have been using them for years for our annual service. We receive email and phone reminders for service visits which come in handy.     Eddie, the master electrician and Seth, his journeyman came out today to upgrade my outside meter, outside wires that lead to the pole, and then upgrade my inside electrical panel to 200amps.     I highly recommend Bailey & Shipp. They are extremely professional and honest. I wanted a fast charger for an electric car and called several companies. Most charged just for the estimate (and without crediting the charge if you used them). Most didnt even know much about EV charge stations. Bailey & Shipp had their expert call me, said he could do an estimate with photos, and he instructed me on what to do. He then called back the next day to explain the issues -- and there were a number of them. In the end, he even said it didnt make sense to do the installation. They talked themselves out of a job, but he said he would rather do that than recommend I do something that was going to cost thousands and wouldnt be worth it. He also had looked over the photos for any safety issues, and told me there didnt appear to be any, and he answered several other questions. All of this for no charge at all! I didnt do the car charging station, but because of their honesty and straight forward manner, they will forever be my first call for any electrical work.

    We recently purchased our first home, and our inspection report had a long list of electrical things to fix. We had a great experience with Bailey & Shipp. When I called to inquire, someone answered the phone right away and we were able to schedule an estimate for two days after we moved in. Rob, our estimator, was very knowledgeable and responsive, and explained things in a way that made sense to me. The technicians, Eddie, Dan, and Brian, were knowledgeable and friendly and worked efficiently to replace our panel/upgrade to 200 amps and bring it to code, install ground wire, add an outdoor outlet, bring a dangerously-wired pool pump on an extension cord to code, install a fancy bath fan that I had purchased, and fixed a bunch of not working and/ or ungrounded outlets, among other things. They did great work and were able to get wire through without cutting into any walls. They also left their work areas spotless and removed all trash/debris. We were very happy with everyone at Bailey & Shipp! *Note: The initial estimate from Bailey & Shipp was quite a bit higher than an estimate we got from another company, but Bailey & Shipp offered to beat that quote so we went with them.

    Our first encounter with Bailey & Shipp was during a home remodel. Our general contractor hired B&S to do all of the electrical work associated with the project. I can not say enough about Eddie.     Great customer service from start to finish. The person sent out for my estimation was very good and helpful.     I needed an outdoor outlet on its own circuit. I spoke to Bob and he had two electricians come out within a few days. It would have ben sooner, but the weather forecast called for a lot of rain so I suggested a later date. They installed a new outlet and new breaker. The work was done expertly and both electricians were professional and polite. After a week or so, I decided that I need the outlet moved. Mind you, I had approved the previous installation. Bob sent a different electrician, Dan, to move the outlet. They even came a few days earlier after confirming that it would be OK. Dan was equally professional and polite as the previous two folks. I highly recommend them for whatever your electrical needs are. Look, electricians are expensive, thats just a fact, so you might as well go with professionals who are experts and also understand customer service. I would definitely use them in the future.

    Bailey and Shipp was the only service of the three we contacted when we lost power in our master bedroom on a Saturday evening that responded with a person rather than a message machine. Since it was not an emergency, I requested callback on Monday, and received a phone call from Bob Beaty that morning and an immediate service call by Evan Peifer.Evan arrived on time and began investigating the source of the problem, which was not the expected circuit breaker switch malfunction, but a wiring problem located in a hidden spot in a clothes closet. Once he replaced the wire and repaired the outlet, the power to lights, TV, and outlets was restored.Evan is a thoroughgoing, dedicated professional, diagnostic expert, and wire wizard! He is friendly, problem-solving focused, and a clear communicator. Evan is a skilled and knowledgeable electrician and provided information and suggestions on increasing the lighting capacity in our living room, and repaired another outlet in the dining room that was about to go bad. This saved us a second service call.We are very pleased with the outstanding service Evan provided and with the responsiveness of Bob Beaty and the company.     I have had a Kohler home generator installed for 15 years. I have had very few problems with it. Three years ago I had a problem with it starting reliably each week for its test. The company I had a service contract with misdiagnosed the problem and had me installing $440 in unnecessary parts that didnt fix the problem. I contacted Bailey & Shipp, based on a recommendation from a Kohler guru, and they diagnosed and fixed the problem. Should have switched my service contract at that time but didnt. Now I just had a one year old battery die on me. I called the people I still had the service contract with and they wanted $645 to replace my battery charger. I didnt even trust their diagnosis. So I called Bailey & Shipp again. Brittany was great to talk to and very responsive. She sent David out to look things over. He diagnosed the problem, had the part he needed available, was done in an hour and charged $225 in parts and labor. And I have confidence that he diagnosed and fixed the problem correctly.     Absolutely the best at what they do and professionalism to boot.My two service providers were John and Tony - working together to not only update my electric panel (heavy up to support electric vehicles), but trouble shoot an existing issue with my garage lighting, installing an outdoor outlet, and our new electric charger (Tesla). They arrived on time and ready work each day (2) with an efficiency that cannot be matched. Installing light fixtures (both inside and outside my house); Installing ceiling fans; Changing all my standard ceiling Pot Lights to dimmable LED lights Pot Lights; Changing out all of my standard light switches with Lutron switches that can be controlled manually or via my iPhone and Amazon Alexa.     I had an issue with three way switches (replaced with a more modern switch). afterwards only one of the switches would turn the lights on and off. I looked at YouTube videos and was at the point where I figured I needed an electrian to fix my predicament. I had used Bailey and Shipp Electric for an emergency a few years before and they fixed a problem quickly for me, so I called to have someone come out. Bob called me back and instead of setting an appointment for a technician told me to take some pictures of the connections for the switches and after I sent them to him, he called me back and told me exactly what to do to fix the issue, and it worked!     Love these guys! We had them repair a large generator, as well as place overhead lighting in a few of our upstairs rooms. They did a great job with both projects at a fair price. However, what I like most about them, is that no matter which technician came out, they were all very friendly and did a great job explaining everything to us. My husband and I really like this company.

    I’m extremely pleased with my recessed lighting project completed by Bailey and Shipp Electric! I would not hesitate to hire them again. Every phase of the project from estimate to final walk-through was handled with professionalism and genuine care by their employees. My lights are beautiful- highly recommend!

    This company is wonderful from end to end! From getting a quote to the final install, everyone was prompt, kind, and very knowledgable. Carlos came out to install junction boxes and ceiling fans in four rooms. He was professional and did a fantastic job! Could not have asked for a better installer. I highly recommend Bailey and Shipp!

    Very responsive from the beginning. Came out on time for estimate, looking professional. Flexible when I made changes to the estimate. Made sure I had all fixtures on hand before coming, which showed good planning. Guys who came out were friendly and knowledgeable. Job was finished in a reasonable amount of time and they cleaned up. Replace outdoor lights and post light and indoor fixtures and smoke detectors. Would recommend.

    I am very pleased to commend Bob, Javier and Benie for an electric job that was especially well done! Bob was efficient, cordial and courteous when discussing the job (removing two chandeliers and hanging new ones, one of which involved a 19’2” high dining room ceiling), answering my questions, and scheduling then confirming the appointment in advance. Javier and Benie were professional, courteous and worked very well together. Javier was knowledgeable about the unusual wiring, made sure the length of both lights was perfect, and worked fearlessly atop a very high ladder. Benie helped Javier flawlessly, and both moved my table and carpet back in place, cleaned up what little debris they made, and couldn’t have been more pleasant. The entire experience was exceptional and I will highly recommend and use Bailey & Shipp again.

    Highly recommended! Called and had an estimate for the job within the hour! Had a tight schedule for the work but they accommodated us and fit us in where we needed to be! The tech was AMAZING!     This is the second time I’ve needed Bailey & Shipp Electric. First time was to replace and add lighting in kitchen. Second time was for an emergency and they got here within a couple of hours. Great, professional and personable electricians. They are second to none! I highly recommend them!!! John and Jason love animals too. You will be in good hands with this company and they are very fair in terms of pricing. Go for them when you need any electric service. They are the most capable.

    I have had Bailey & Shipp do electric work at least 2 times. They connected a ceiling fan on one visit and last week they disconnected and then reconnected a stove top which had to be removed prior to countertop installation. They also installed 4 exterior lights and 2 motion sensor lights. They did quality work at a very good value. They came out exactly when I needed them and were punctual on all visits. I will use them again for any electric work that I have.

    I would highly recommend BSE for all my electrical needs. BSE beats out the competition every time I reach out for electrical estimates. All of their crews are well trained and very knowledgeable about their tradecraft. I had them wire a 50 amp hot tub line from my panel to a newly installed outside disconnect, along with wiring the tub once I got it in place. Scheduling with Bob was a breeze and they even worked around my schedule. Davids professionalism, expertise and cleanliness was top notch. The tub is up and running with no issues. BSE stands by their work!

    Excellent work done by the Bailey Shipp team.They came in and helped design the entire layout of the lighting package. They also went above and beyond by catching other parts of the project that needed to be completed by other contractors.I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have work done.     Highly highly recommend this company and more specifically tech David Roth. David came to our home and was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, informative, he explained the process and even how we could save money in the near future, explained everything he was going to do step by step, cleaned up his stuff and definetly provided us with quality work. The office staff was extremely personable and helpful, always answering any questions and getting a tech out to us promptly after calling. Youre selling yourself short by wasting your time calling amy other company, Thank you Bailey & Shipp and thank you Mr. Roth.

    I contracted with Bob to install 4 recess lights. In the end they installed 10. The job was done very professionally. The installers were attentive to my requests and cleaned everything after the job was complete. We had one minor communication issue where a 2 gang switch box was expanded to a 3 without my consent. The install cost $1200 and I consider it money well spent.

    When new to the area, we shopped around for electricians with good reputations and hired Bailey & Shipp Electric for some electrical work in our new house. They were so great to work with, we contracted them to maintain our generator and think of them as our electricians whenever we have a need for electrical work. Scheduling is easy, visits are on time, cost is affordable, work is top-notch, follow up is consistent and the staff are all terrific, personable and very skilled in their areas. We recommend them highly!

    The outlets and switches along one wall of my house were out of service. After having tried all of the appropriate circuit breakers and even checking a nearby CFI, I called Bailey & Shipp. When the service technician arrived, he worked diligently to diagnose the problem, and once he found it, was able to get all of the outlets and switches on the circuit back up. I am very pleased with the fact that Bailey and Shipp was able to work with me to get someone at my home so quickly and that the repair was completed to my complete satisfaction.
