Stephen and his crew have done exemplary work in bringing our dream home into reality! We wanted a high efficiency house (equivalent or better than Passivhaus standards) and he did not disappoint. Working with us to understand what we wanted and bringing recommendations for further improvements we had not thought of, his insights and skills brought our plans to be even more than wed expected. Highly recommend!

My Mom was widowed suddenly and her best option was to build an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) on our property in New Hampshire. We chose Stephen and 4B Construction because we felt heard with our requests and knew quality wouldnt be compromised. It was apparent from the beginning that Stephen was passionate about the homes efficiency and not cutting corners. Stephen was extremely flexible and patient as we explored different layouts and modifications to the design. The focus and timeline of the build was incredible. There are countless things to account for when building a home and Stephen was able to manage all of it seamlessly. 4B Construction brings a good energy to the job site. The subcontractors respect the team and match 4Bs quality of work. My Mom was in California during the construction so I was the main point person and felt very comfortable asking questions and bringing up any concerns she had throughout the build. The guys were friendly with our dog and my boys which is important since 4B was here most days in the summer. They even totally embraced a surprise water balloon attack one summer afternoon! We highly recommend Stephen and 4B Construction for their quality work and finished product. We know that Moms ADU is a solid build and will see many happy years.

4B Construction did a large addition to our home which included a 2-car garage with an apartment above. We could not be happier with the work they did and the way they did it. Stephen was helpful in the design and careful in the execution. He communicated throughout and was always on site when he said he would be (no small detail when compared to many contractors). He and Connor were an absolute pleasure to work with...my wife and I give them our highest recommendation. In fact, as long as he is available, we dont anticipate calling anyone else in the future.

My husband and I had a complete first level remodel, which included new kitchen, wood flooring, and entryway staircase. He stayed on and completed with an incredible screened in porch. Our older home is like new. It is so bright, cheery and modern! Steve listened to our ideas and also had some great ideas too. His work is exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Steve is truely professional and we highly recommend 4B Construction!

4B construction completed a 20 x 16 addition, renovated our kitchen, bath and added an entry way to our home. Throughout the entire process Stephen was professional, delivered on his commitments, timely and responsive. When problems did arise (and they will in home renovation), Stephen was engaged, accountable and worked to find cost effective solutions. His estimating and invoicing process was transparent and clear. Additionally, Stephen was flexible and willing to support additional scope of work to include an exterior door and small deck replacement. My wife and I will use Stephen and team again in our next renovation project.

Great contractor. Stephen was amazing when I had my sunroom built. He was very timely and polite. The work he did was very detailed. If you are looking for a contractor I would recommend 4b construction hands down.

We would highly recommend 4B Construction. We hired him to build our sunroom and ended up adding on a few other projects while he was here, including an amazing dormer! He was dependable, fair and did quality work. We also appreciated that he had great ideas and suggestions to offer along the way. We will definitely hire him again for our future projects!

Stephen built us a beautiful screened in porch of rough hewn hemlock, and its gorgeous in its workmanship and overall architectural aesthetic. He and his team were personable, efficient, and professional, and Stephen was a great communicator (something that isnt very common and is very much appreciated!) I would not hesitate to hire 4B again, or to give the strongest recommendation to anyone who is looking for a great general contractor.
