I have been a First Choice customer for over 8 years now and from the day I spoke to Ed (Owner); I felt he was honest and kept everything in black and white, a thorough professional and they installed my Heating/Cooling system at my home at Monroe, NJ.I recently had an issue where my pruning guys had hit the gas line and freon leaked and damaged the line and was without Air condition for over a week. Omar Hernandez was assigned as our technician; and he had a gracious smile and was able to troubleshoot the issue and had come to my home today (Aug 30, 2024) and completed the work to perfection and my Air-Condition is now back on and my kids and I are happy. Thanks Omar for making a pleasant experience and loved your work very much buddy. I would definitely recommend First Choice to anyone who have issues with their Heating/Cooling systems and will be their customer always.There was a confirmation email when the appointment is all set and they also send the technician who is coming to your home with his picture and it keeps us informed as to who is coming home. We have been using First Choice for years for our HVAC maintenance. Hence when hit with a clogging issue in our kitchen sink , we decided to give them a try for plumbing too. Dave (David Gall) arrived promptly and seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. He identified the issue almost immediately, clearly communicated the next steps and worked through resolution with finesse. The grease clogging was cleanly removed by snaking. He was pleasant to deal with and also went the extra mile to reassure me of my fears. Definitely recommend them!

Today I had the pleasure of working with First Choice Plumbing for the first time. My water softener was dying, and my coworker recommended them. David and Gianni were the people I worked with. They were great during the quoting process and even better when they came back to do the work. They found and fix other piping issues that my inspector missed...problems that would have been costly!!!! I would 100% use these company again. Im pretty sure all them plumbers are great, but I would definitely ask for these two again!!!

First, I appreciated the text confirmation for the appointment and when the technician was on the way. I recommend this company for the detailed experience below.Angel Garcia was the technician who arrived not long after the text was received. Prior to entering the condo, Angel confirmed that I was the tenant. He asked about the unit in the bedroom and once I confirmed that it was working properly, he asked to be directed to the unit that needed repair.Angel removed the cover from the unit, confirmed what the issue was, and began his assessment. Once he was able to determine that unit cooled properly and reproduced the rattling noise, he called the owner, to make them aware of how he had planned to resolve the issue.Another contractor had told the owner the entire unit needed to be replaced, but it was worth the 2nd opinion and going with First Choice to save money, but not compromise on service. Angel was professional and friendly. He resolved the issue and remained only as long as needed. I would highly recommend Angel and First Choice Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning.

Imagine you are having out-of-town guests staying at your home, its a moist 90+ degrees and your AC poops out? It happened. FIRST CHOICE came thru with flying colors. They arrived within a few hours of my urgent call. Ralph correctly diagnosed the problem and explained my repair options. Then Smitty arrived with two loaner window units and quickly installed them so my guests could sleep at night. Tommie and Michael came early the next morning and diligently worked throughout the day to get the repair done in a timely manner. EVERYone I dealt with (including the person who took the original call) was courteous, helpful and professional...but not so professional that they wouldnt join me in the the Mr Softee song, Devo or Staceys Mom. These guys are great! Highly recommend First Choice!!!

I just had a Central Air Conditioning system replaced. Joe from sales explained what he thought our needs were after the old system we had for 36 years gave up. The advice was appreciated and helpful in making our decision. His experience and professionalism were obvious. Jeff and his crew were fantastic installers. I’ve worked for a major public utility for 40+ years and never seen a crew work this hard and care about their craftsmanship. My new ductwork and central air installation is a work of art. Unfortunately at this point I only had the system for less than a week so I can’t fully comment on the Rheem system quality and value but I expect great things after research and will follow-up with another review after we used it a while. I will ask First Choice to come back for annual servicing and re balance the system as needed after we use it for a while. We are waiting for the 90 degree days for a true full test of the system but I expect great things after the beautiful installation. I looked at 3 contractors before I found First Choice. This team is very professional and does great work.

Would leave a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review if possible! Experienced an AC failure on Thursday mid afternoon. They had a technician named Angel out to us that night at around 8:30 PM. He diagnosed the problem and advised exactly what parts were needed to fix. By 930 the next morning, I was given the option of regular shipping on the parts or expedited shipping with an install date of Sunday (today). I chose Sunday and asked if they could accommodate putting us first on the schedule at 8 AM. At 7:58 AM this morning, Alex was at our front door parts in hand ready to complete the work. He was personable and professional, and completed the job in under an hour and the AC is blowing perfectly cold. Purchased a maintenance plan from them as well… First time doing business with them and most certainly won’t be the last!

Alex was our technician and communicated on his arrival time. He met a family member at the house and was very professional. Alex was very knowledgeable and very honest about the issue. So glad I found First Choice Plumbing after going through probably 4 or 5 other plumbers. We’d been having problems with our water pressure and hot water heater among other things and from the first appointment I was glad I had called First Choice Plumbing. Our plumber was Eli who spent a long time checking everything out in the house and explained everything he was doing as he went. He pointed out some problems but there was no hard sell and even told me not to spend the money on a couple of things I thought we needed done; I had told Eli that we’re planning on moving next year and I didn’t want to spend on things if I didn’t need to. After discussing everything we knew we had to get a new hot water heater as well as a water softening system, so Eli came back with Steven to do the work. I can’t say enough about how great they both were especially Eli who was meticulous and made sure all my problems were addressed. As a senior citizen ( and a woman!) I am always worried about being taken advantage of, and am so tired of being talked down to, but with Eli that never happened and I really appreciate that. He made sure I understood everything he was doing every step of the way and the bonus is besides plumbing and HVAC they also do remodeling so they will be back soon to do over my master bathroom! Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

He immediately called to order the missing part that he needed and we are hoping that it’ll be installed on Tuesday. First choice is very quick with their response, especially in this heat. There were several issues that came up after addressing the initial problem related to our boiler (which probably shouldnt be a surprise since there were some old parts in there). Despite these challenges, especially on a holiday weekend, he stuck with it and did excellent work. He went above and beyond to help solve the problems that came up and I could not be more complimentary about his problem-solving and professionalism. He even came back later that night to check up on things after he had to step out for a family matter--he was obsessive (in a good way) to make sure everything was working properly. FirstChoice is very reliable and they were quick to help me with my issue. Any company should be judged by the people who work there (and stay there). Id have trouble imagining someone who would do a better job representing a company than Angel does. I did a lot of research and homework, and it paid off in choosing First Choice. I received a fair and competitive price, and Joe from First Choice was nothing short of amazing. Was super knowledgeable and all of our many questions. Explained how the process would work from beginning to end, and checked in frequently to see how things were going. Fist Choice also helped us set up On Bill Repayment through PSEG, and handled permits and equipment registration. They took what could have been a very stressful process and made it great.Now I just had them come out to fix a gas leak in my boiler. Angel was great - gave me some great tips on maintenance and did a great job getting it fixed.My overall impression is that this is a great company to work with, and I will certainly continue to do so. I have seen some advertised quotes that were less expensive, but I believe cutting corners on home services can be more expensive in the long run. Our final price was certainly reasonable. Clearly they train their personnel , from the initial phone contract to the technicians who come to the home, I have found each member of the staff to be courteous and respectful. The technicians explain in terms I can understand what was done and what I should do to maintain optimal functioning. I appreciate their sending the name and photo of the technician shortly before arrival. My most recent experience with technician Justin demonstrated attention to detail. Access to the unit was difficult, so he planned out the steps before starting up the ladder, even putting rags on the top of the ladder to protect the newly painted wall. I need to trust the people I ask into my home to do work. Each time I have use First Choice my trust has been renewed. Bob

As a new customer, I didn’t know what to expect from First Choice and was quite pleased that I was able to schedule a same-day, weekend service call. The First Choice technician’s name embroidered on his shirt said “Angel” and he really was. Angel arrived on time, right as scheduled. He was very polite, asked for a verbal description of the problem and jumped right into diagnosing our 15 year old central AC system. I watched him work and it was interesting watching him eagerly assess and diagnose the system (like a doctor with his patient). After assessing the system from inside and outside the house, he found the problem in about 10 minutes and replaced a condensation pump that had malfunctioned. The replacement pump came right from his truck which saved time and a run to the supply store (and most likely a second visit). Estimates and payment were managed professionally on site. The service was excellent. To add to the impressive service, the technician walked past a pool pump repair project already in progress (by yours truly). The repair was not going well, but Angel and a few turns of his channel lock pliers took care of that problem too! This guy completely turned around what was looking like a very bad, hot and frustrating Saturday afternoon. We truly appreciated the service and would recommend making First Choice your first choice if you need help.

I called First Choice to see why the unit wasnt blowing cold air. I thought it would be a lot more serious, but with the help and honesty from Alex, rest assured I was in the right hands. Before even coming in, he asked if we could look at your unit outside. He showed me and explained that the unit had ice on it, which was caused due to the filter being old and used. Not only was their representative and repair guru, Angel Garcia, on time for the fix, he was everything you could ever hope for or dream of in a service rep, plus more.He was friendly, courteous, professional, thorough, not to mention exacting in detail, and explanatory of his process.We initially believed our A/C unit might need a coolant boost, but within a few moments of arriving, Mr. Garcia not only eagle-eyed some significant wiring damage (damn rodents - invest in steel wool, people!) but a potentially hazardous sparking issue with the connectors on its hard start kit.Throughout, Mr. Garcia explained every step of the repairs, patiently answered all our questions while working, yet was good-humored and utterly committed to perfection right up to completion.Not only will I and my family be returning to First Choice for our future HVAC service calls, I will specifically request the expertise and personage of Mr. Garcia, who went above and beyond for us in every sense of the word. The service technician, Angel Garcia was professional, experienced, and an expert in his craft. 1 of out our 2 HVAC units was not functioning properly for heat, when Angel arrived early and on time, I was allowed to follow along as he troubleshooted the unit. He explained and guided me through the process all while remaining courteous and easy to talk to. We reached the gas valve and it was clearly not functioning, Angel could have stopped there and many companies would to make a nice sale, but Angel kept digging deeper to find an issue with the gas.This is a great company with honest people, who put their customers first. Excellent service. Bruno was on time, knowledgeable, hard working and friendly. He explained what the problem was in terms I could understand and when I authorized the repair he completed the repair quickly and efficiently.My old HVAC contractor has been getting tough to get an appointment with. A friend in town recommended First Choice so when my downstairs A/C unit stopped cooling in mid-August I reached out to them. I was able to get a technician, Bruno, here the same day (Friday) for diagnosis. They could have completed the repair on Monday, except I was not available. The repair was completed quickly and efficiently. Bruno was very careful to cover his shoes to avoid leaving mud or tracks on my floors (he insisted when I told him it was not necessary) and to take all of the trash he generated.Will definitely use this business again as my new HVAC contractor.

My a/c had been limping along for a few seasons. During my annual maintenance I was presented with 3 choices. I opted to upgrade. The installation team of Amando and Oscar arrived exactly on time. Detected some electrical work that no longer complied with current building code. They completed the job in record time, including the additional work of bringing my system up to code. The work was done with consideration to my home, especially my carpet. They cleaned up after themselves. My new A/C is quieter and more efficient. I highly recommend 1st Choice. My external water line was leaking for my condo and the situation was bad. So my neighbor recommended first choice to me. I talked to first choice on 8/31 morning and signed the contract immediately as I wanted to get it done ASAP before the Labor Day. Three contractors came around noon and they brought a backhoe. The project took them 4 hours and I was not watching due to my personal meetings for work. They left the yard messy and soil was all around, I need to clean my front door. And they did not ask me to check my water inside. During the project, they found that my neighbor’s line was leaking as well. The first choice came to talk to my neighbor for estimate, and my neighbor got the project done the next week without the backhoe and the price was only around 40% of mine. Overall, the project has been done professionally, but I didn’t like how first choice left the yard area and hacked the limbs off that tree plus the price was more than double of my neighbor’s , the workmen should never left the property in such disarray.

This was our first introduction to First Choice. I found them on a google search. We were looking to replace the entire air conditioning system on a 3k sq. ft. house. I did my own research on the brands and found Trane to be the best brand for our solution. I spoke with multiple HVAC sellers/installers and requested proposals from on-site evaluations. I was amazed at the lack of professionalism, inconsistency in solutions, and misrepresentations that were made. The proposals were seldom timely, very vague, and did not always reflect what we had agreed to on-site. First Choice was the only seller/installer that was timely, concise, very knowledgeable in every aspect of the job and not just the unit they would install, offered multiple solutions and explained them in detail, and frankly was honest. As the proposals came in, I also discussed my questions/concerns with First Choice and they were patient enough to explain the process and give me a better understanding of what others were proposing. We selected First Choice for the purchase and installation. It was scheduled within a week of our approval and was installed by First Choice employees that were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I could not be happier. I would highly recommend First Choice and they have earned my trust.

They were on time, brought drop cloths to protect my floors (which was an awesome surprise), educated me on what they were doing in terms on the installation, answered any questions I had. They didn’t BS while here, they were focused and worked from the time the arrived until finished. Once the system was in and complete, they walked me through the new system, showing me where my filter goes, how to install, they showed me how to work my new thermostat and even vacuumed. Recently I was visited by plumbing technician Dave Gall from First Choice Plumbing Heating & AC to check into a minor leak in the handle of our outdoor water faucet. Dave was very pleasant and we even chatted a few minutes about the history of my town and the like. He quickly diagnosed the leak as a simple tightening of the valve packing nut and also explained the inner working parts of our frost proof wall hydrant fixture. He did not mind me asking questions as I like to learn and pick up tips from professionals. He also found a crack on the handles stem and came back a few days later to replace the cracked handle under warrantee. He left the cracked handle on the side exactly as I requested. Ive never been disappointed with this company and have used them for central AC installation and recent plumbing work. FC is highly recommended..

Our existing 25+ year old a/c condenser and furnace were barely breathing and from calling for an appointment for an estimate, to meeting with Joe, to scheduling installation, to actual installation with Jeff and Gene, to having our unlined chimney lined (which they set up for us) the project was done, first phone contact through completion, in under a week (5 business days)! Amazingly easy to communicate with First Choice, via text or phone. They are very responsive which is far more than you can say about most businesses in this vein these days. Joe came out and assessed our water situation and recommended a house water filter (Halo H2zero. So far the product is great by the way). Mike and Cesar, the plumbers, were courteous, professional. They took their time and did great work, both installing the water filter on our water main and also changing out our kitchen sink. Well priced too. We bought a new home and, at first I was skeptical about setting up a contract like we had at our old place, but we did, and the technicians who have come out for maintenance have always been friendly and professional.Late last night we noticed that our downstairs furnace had stopped heating and I put a call in that was returned at 7:39am. Angel Garcia was dispatched fairly quickly, came to the house, assessed and diagnosed very quickly that the inducer motor had failed, contacted a parts warehouse 10 minutes away, ran out and picked it up, came back, installed it, tested the system, billed us and was out of here roughly 2 hours after we got the call this morning. Hard to beat that.It was pretty disappointing to have an expensive component in our furnace fail less than 4 years after the unit was manufactured, so Im obviously not thrilled about having to spend a surprise amount like this, but having the contract in place meant we saved 50% off the usual weekend rate, and I believe the part would have been more expensive, too, so Im feeling pretty good about having the maintenance plan in place (especially since we have two furnaces from this manufacturer, and Im now just waiting for the other one to fail, too).Weve only been in our new home about 21 months and perhaps have had the contract with First Choice for about 18 months of that, but even though our systems were brand new when we moved in, I couldnt be more pleased to have set up our maintenance contract. Between the routine maintenance and todays repair, I have some peace of mind knowing our HVAC systems are in good hands.
