    The wife is the ultimate do it yourselfer, but she wants a game plan and specific instructions before tackling a project. This is where Floyd came in. Due to the distance of our home from local areas another ubuildit recommended Floyd and we were a bit far for him as well. But after a good conversation he came on board as a consultant and gave us the BIBLE for building a home. And he also made the drive out on three separate occasions to inspect our build for us to make sure everything was good. If you’re planning to build a home you definitely want the Bible that Floyd has put together. He was available via text all day and everyday to answer any questions and my wife definitely ask a lot of questions. When we decided to work with Floyd, communication was key and Floyd excelled at this. Obviously you may be searching for someone to manage your build from beginning to end and our situation may have been a little different from what you are looking for. But just based on Floyd’s consulting for us we would definitely recommend you choosing Floyd to work with you on building your home. You want someone with his expertise on your team.If it helps paint a better picture our home is a custom 6ksqft and it took us 1 year to build it. Good luck and happy building!

    I would highly recommend Floyd Decker with Ubuildit! He actually assisted my parents with their build several years ago. When I was looking to either have someone build or attempting to do it myself the difference in the overall cost made my decision easy. I will tell you we saved a ton of money and Floyd was there to assist me every time I had a question. He is honest and a straight shooter. No doubt in my mind I made the correct decision. I actually finished the home sooner than some of the builders were telling me they could finish it in. Floyd will give you all the tools you need to get the job done right! Not only will you save a ton of cash but you will be involved in every aspect of your home!!! Thanks Floyd!!!

    I was referred to Mr.Decker by a classmate whom had just used Floyd decker’s ubuildit program . He talked so highly of Floyd so I decided to set up a meeting.A month later we had a contract in place for me to build my first home.Floyd was there to assist me every step of the way. I learned a lot from his experience in the construction business. Each time I called or texted I got a reply in a timely manner. My house was complete 3 months before deadline and under the original budget. Upon completion of my home I instantly had 90k in Equity in my home. I definitely recommend Floyd Decker to assist with building your next home.

    There will never be enough great things that I could say about my experience working with Floyd Decker at UBuildIt - McKinney. Floyd saved the day and helped us to finish our dream home that we had originally started with a custom home builder.He provided guidance, resources, and an attention to detail that our project needed. He was always extremely prompt in answering all of my questions and made himself accessible throughout the entire process. The only regret I have is not working with Floyd from the very beginning.

    I cant say enough about how much Floyd was there to help us build our dream home. He never turned down a request to come on site even over and above his regularly scheduled weekly visits (this does not include the numerous phone calls he took from me). During these weekly and unscheduled extra visits, Floyd would ensure that the work being done was of the highest quality and as required in order to have a beautiful and safe house. We built our house in the County (not in any city limits), which did not require any permits (other that the septic tank) so we wholeheartedly leaned on Floyd as he stepped us through the building process with his knowledge and expertise to ensure all was being done correctly at every step. He ensured a never ending building process experience that helped us get our house built within 5 months from start to finish (may not be a typical time for all). As I started out with, I cannot say enough about the expertise and professionalism that Floyd showed us and would 100% recommend Him to anyone ready for the adventure of their life in building their own dream home.

    UBuildIt - McKinney did a great job providing guidance during our homes construction project. Floyd was very responsive to all of our needs and did a great job guiding my wife and me through the whole process starting with Budgeting all the way to finishing all the construction aspects.I would absolutely recommend UBuildIt-McKinney for anyone interested in being their own GC on any construction project.

    I wanted to build our dream house and so we started the process with a few custom builders. The price per sq foot was just too much, so I called Floyd and he gave me an honest quote for the build. I was surprised and a bit scared to start the project.We started the process and it went very smoothly. Not to say it was easy we had our challenges and the city I built in was difficult at best. UBuildIt helped me through the process and saved me almost 25% from having a builder build my home.I was able to have it designed and all the things I wanted in it. I couldnt have done it without UbuildIt and I know for a FACT my house is built better then most cookie cutter homes.I have 46 piers that are 18 wide and go 18 deep with a #6 re bar down the center. I have stress cable foundation build on top of that with 3 foot deep X 1 foot wide support beams. My insulation is a closed cell spray foam with a R-38 in the wall and roof rafters so a total envelop when most home are the standard R-13 value walls. My home is 4266 sq feet and my electric bills in the middle of the summer are around 150.00 with TXU.I got custom cabinets which were an upgrade with custom builders, I got big stone front and 2X6 exterior walls which again were upgrades with builders. My entire outside sheathing is 4X8 of plywood with sealed tar seams and not the cheap cardboard stuff most builders are building. His system works and his contractors were cheaper then contractors I could find. I even got bids from other companies to do a comparison because I thought maybe he was making money on the backside but his suggested contractors were cheaper.I forgot 2 things, one was to get the house pre-sprayed for bugs, and the other was the home warranty work which was required through out the build and I tired to do it at the end. They told me I could not qualify because it had to be inspected during the build and pictures werent sufficient.All in all it was a great experience and I would do it in a heartbeat again without a second thought.     We did quite a bit of research and evaluated 7 builders before choosing to go with UBuildIt. Floyd was great to work with. Very flexible to meet my custom home designs.     We have saved thousands in builders fees by choosing U Build It rather than going with a regular builder. Through the process we have learned a great deal about building a house and it is so exciting when you see the progress coming along. We started with our architectural plan, then have been thoroughly involved in the process from getting bids through the recommended U Build It sub contractors, to paying the subs directly and choosing / buying fixtures for our home. Floyd Decker has helped us along the way and comes out to several site visits as needed to check on the progress to provide feedback for us to do. He is available daily via phone or text and always answers my questions. We feel comfortable using the subs recommended by U build It / Floyd and we have had great experiences with them.
